I believe the service is not overpriced, taking into consideration the time it saves. That's what allows our estimates to be much easier in terms of making them clear and consistent. Pros ScopeTakeoff enables the bundling of quantities, labor, material, and equipment. The reuse of assemblies will decrease the amount of time spent doing jobs that need to be done repeatedly, and the reconstruction of the whole estimate is not required after updates to the pricing. ScopeTakeoff allows us to have more connectivity between takeoff, pricing, and final proposal. Pros Organizing an estimate into a proposal becomes easier when this step doesn’t involve creating everything in a new file from scratch. This is useful when a general contractor asks us for alternates or price change. Our proposal structure also became much more consistent than it was before when each estimator was using their own Excel and Word templates. This method worked but added unnecessary steps and made revising difficult. With ScopeTakeoff, we now have a much more seamless experience from measuring the drawings to pricing the job. Pros The main advantage is that the takeoff quantities are linked to the labor, materials, and equipment costs. If a measurement changes, we can avoid updating several files. Furthermore, the program itself is quite simple compared to some of the more complicated estimating systems we have researched.
