The deciding factors were EU hosting, the Annex V PDF, and the subscription model - other tools charge per credit which makes monthly costs unpredictable for a store with variable upload volumes. Altvisor's flat subscription is easier to budget and the rollover credits handle seasonal spikes without any manual intervention. Pros The EAA Annex V PDF is the feature that sold me. Every other tool I tested stopped at generating alt text — none of them produced the legal accessibility statement the European Accessibility Act actually requires you to publish. Altvisor generates it directly from the scan results, which saves a significant amount of back-and-forth with legal. The multilingual support is also genuinely useful. We sell across Poland, Germany, and Czech Republic, and being able to generate alt text in the customer's language rather than defaulting to English matters for both compliance and SEO. New product images are processed automatically, so there is no ongoing manual work once the plugin is connected. Cons The free plan limit of 50 images per month is enough to evaluate the tool but not enough for a real store with regular new stock.
