Pros what I liked the most about catia is you can create 3D drawings and if they have moving parts you can play them to see how they move. I used the software for one of my projects. Pros CATIA is the gold standard for engineering in our industry. We use CATIA in conjunction with another PLM to manage our design process. Overall, a very good tool for 3D design and rendering. Cons As with most CAD software solutions, this one can have a steep learning curve. Many tools and utilities to aid high level engineering. It is, in my opinion, the best solid modeling program on the market. Pros It is user friendly. I actually moved from CREO to Catia and I am thinking that I would be hard for me to work over it but I was wrong, Catia is really worthy. Designing in Catia is very easy and every feature is very much helpful for better view and understanding. Cons Simulations has to ve upgrade in comparison with Solidworks and CREO. Wide functionality and flexibility for design. Pros Lots of flexibility to use this software for many different types of modeling. Pre programmed data sets are very helpful for workstation design. I use CATIA for editing/creating CAD data. Pros I find CATIA as user friendly. My main usage is for CAD creation, editing etc. It is still used throughout Ford Otosan for years. Cons I don't like meshing in CATIA. I prefer other tools. There are better mesh algorithms. I recommend people to look for other tools for meshing purposes. Review Source HV Hussain V. There are no complaints in regards to the feature on the modeling or drawing side of things. Very easy! Cons The 3D modeling is very intuitive, but it is easy to get lost in the G code settings. I fins that it is often very time consuming to get a CNC program to perform as desired.
