## What is Secure Note?

Secure Note is an end-to-end encrypted note-sharing app for one-time message transmission. It uses AES-256-GCM encryption in the browser, ensuring data protection during sharing. The encryption key is generated locally and stored in the URL fragment, which browsers don't send to servers, creating a zero-knowledge system where plaintext remains inaccessible to the server. The app allows sharing passwords, private links, or confidential notes without needing accounts or personal data. Each note generates a unique link with the decryption key after the hash symbol. Without the full link, decryption is impossible. Notes self-destruct upon first access, leaving no server trace as they are stored in RAM, not on disk. Features include configurable expiration times, PoW anti-spam measures, and atomic read-and-delete operations. The platform supports self-hosting via a static HTML file, enabling organizations to control their data infrastructure.
