eMaint has been a very helpful tool. I know that it has much more to offer than what my team uses at the moment. I can see the potential for expanded use in the future.

Pros

I like the custom dashboards that can be made to fit most any application. They help for quick overviews and touch point information.

Cons

I don't like the mobile version of the software. It makes communication with the team difficult as they are not seeing what you are

Emaint has been a great tool for our team to organize preventative maintenance work orders. X5 will be a great improvement allowing us easier inventory management.

Pros

Parts inventory is going to be most helpful allowing us to have better real time information to reduce downtime. Mobile app will be great too

Cons

The cost for implementing x5 is high. It will take some time integrating x4 into x5 and the price for the software was high. I hope it will save us time in the long run to make up for the initial cost.

I have use eMaint at other job, I feel comfortable using and learning about the program. I have setup this program at two different locations now.

Pros

It's easy to use once you learn a few things about the program. I have used x4 several years ago and loved it.

Cons

The data templates. The reason this is a con for me, is not the program, but my limited time to fill the data templates out.

Still a new user, but the training has been good. Will have more comments once we roll out and fully implement the system to our operations.

Pros

The UI is better than what our prior system was. The eMaint offer more features, flexibility, and support.

Cons

Perhaps, I would prefer to still have the option to add a comment once the workorder is closed, especially for admin users.

The team is great to work with and will help mold your account to your specification as long as you know what that is.

Pros

It's a good fit for the budget. The amount of information that you can capture is relevant to the cost associated.

Cons

Limit on the amount of information that can be sent out with automated report. Need more than 20 fields for some reports.

eMaint is a useful tool for managing inventory control and work orders, including PMs, asset tracking, and preventive maintenance.

Pros

The system helps keep my work orders organized, and we are currently experimenting with nesting to evaluate its effectiveness.

Cons

The number of user role options under “Accessible Tables & Actions” is excessive and should be simplified for better usability. The pop-up screen remains open on the screen when I select items from the menu icons.

Overall, eMaint has been great in setting up our options and platform. My team and me feel very confident this is the correct software to manage as our CMMS!

Pros

Layout and function were very clean and logical from my point. The customer service is great and very helpful!

Cons

You must save your inputs as you go or risk losing your recently added data if you get logged out. I recommend saving periodically as you go while entering your data for set up.

Our overall experience has been pretty good I would have to say. Seems like the eMaint Customer Success is something they strive for as a company. They want you to help you succeed with the CMMS and tailor it to fit you company's needs.

Pros

Compared to Maximo, which we used for 13+ years the associated cost is way more affordable. Also, our CSM is a great communicator as well as a get it done type of person. Willing to try and help however possible to resolve your issues.

Cons

The worst thing for us as a group is the future work orders and how they work with workflow rules. They just need to generate to open status with regards to lead-time days/ projection length. Sometimes the rules seem to get confused and when they do populate from future to open some of the fields may not be filled in thus requiring some effort to get those corrected. Also, you need to be able to put a due date of your choice in when building the PM. You should not have to write a workflow rule to make it have a due date at the end of the month.

We utilized Maximo for 13+ years working under Kinder Morgan and was purchased by a new company than need to make a decision on what CMMS platform to use to keep in compliance. The annual re-occurring cost of Maximo vs eMaint was a key factor. eMaint was more affordable for our company size and structure.

Reasons for choosing eMaint CMMS

We as a company of 120+ reviewed several CMMS programs when trying to make a decision of whether or not to retain Maximo or jump ship to a new platform. At the end of the day, eMaint was to most functional and cost-effective solution for us. It gives the end user many tools to configure the CMMS to their liking and business expectations.
