## What is OVcare?

OVcare is an all-in-one care management platform built for UK children's homes, supported accommodation and family assessment centres. It replaces paper files, spreadsheets and disconnected systems with one secure place for recordings, care plans, incident logs, safeguarding records, risk assessments, medication/MARs, audits, reports, HR and rotas. Managers get real-time oversight of records, staff tasks, reviews, expiring documents and compliance activity across one home or multiple locations. Frontline teams can record on phone, tablet or desktop, use prompts and voice-to-text, and spend less time duplicating paperwork. OVcare supports UK Ofsted-regulated settings with inspection-ready forms, Regulation 45, MARS and medication audit reports, Schedule 2 aligned HR, DBS and training tracking, safer recruitment records, and an Inspector Portal for read-only access during Ofsted or Reg 44 visits. OVinsights adds AI guidance via OVcare and WhatsApp, helping staff get policy-based answers.

Overall, I’ve had a really good experience with OVcare. It makes things feel more organised and saves time with recording and paperwork. As a deputy manager, it’s helpful having a system that is easy to follow and supports what we need for records, compliance and inspections. The support team and training have been helpful too, especially when getting started or learning new parts of the system.

Pros

OVcare is really straightforward to use once you get going with it. It keeps everything in one place, which makes day-to-day recording and keeping on top of things a lot easier. I like that it helps with paperwork, compliance and inspection prep without making it feel too complicated. The support and training are also really good, so you don’t feel like you’re just left to figure it all out on your own.

Cons

At first there are quite a few features to get used to, so it can take a little bit of time to find your way around everything. But once you’ve had some training and used it a few times, it becomes much easier.
