Glasscubes are constantly updating the service and improving on the features. Pros Glasscubes is an effective and easy to use tool for both accountants and clients. It eliminated the need for excel request lists and back and forth emailing between me and my clients. The interface is clean and can be formatted for complex request lists meaning information can be displayed in a meaningful way. Cons I wish that Glasscubes used a portal service for the clients instead of an email link, this would be even easier for the client to use and save hassle. It so easily allows us to upload queries, for clients to upload responses/documents and even for comments to be added by clients and follow up queries to be added by us as auditors. Pros Progress statuses of query lists. It allows us to go in and review how many queries have been answered. Cons One time code to login every time. Sometimes I want to really quickly log in and so delays it slightly but is a minor point. Pros The portal has been very useful since we started using this software. This portal has made it easier to receive information from clients when sending queries which was our intended purpose with this software. It has also been useful when working with new clients being able to monitor at what stage we are with the client. Cons The only slight weakness is when adding information on a workspace, when inputting some information, it then sometimes shows an error about the link. Pros Compared to other tax software that tries to do it all, but ends up doing everything poorly (I'm looking at you, CCH), Glasscubes does one thing and it does it very well. Glasscubes automates some of the more tedious parts of client management for personal tax (chasing for information year round just for the client to send their information in January), and in my experience has led to some of our more last-minute clients sending information earlier than in prior years. Glasscubes also provides a space for clients to securely upload documents, and this space was clearly designed with the client in mind. When a client's documents are requested, they receive a request via email that gives them a text box and a space to securely upload relevant files and information - no login required! Cons The only growing pains our team has experienced thus far is that the automated reminders, which generally save us time, can be a bit annoying if we forget to mark the info request complete in glasscubes. A welcome addition would be if you could query clients by client manager and if automated reminders could be suppressed through a simple tick box rather than needing to mark returns as submitted. I joined the platform through my employer and I have since been amazed and impressed by its usefulness in terms of how it created and facilitated networking and communications between the various sections of the organisations and most importantly how it made file and data sharing easy.What also impresses me is how one can have control over his/her account; as to who can or cannot have access to the account, files and data and what access rights they can have. I find it immensely helpful for research projects' planning and implementation. Pros The Pros are many. What is stands out among them is how easy it is to use the platform even without any formal introduction or training. The ability and various facilities/features available for one to have full control over their account/platform. Cons Video conferencing is one of the features I am looking out for to use on Glasscubes. Cons It can sometimes be difficult to find requests as they are sorted by subject or email address. Glasscubes played a critical role in our business continuity last year when all employees had to work from home at very short notice. The support available from Glasscubes is exceptional and the platform in constantly in development. Users are encouraged to give feedback to the development team on features which would be useful to implement, and I've personally seen some of my suggestions rolled out across the site. It has the flexibility to suit teams and businesses of all sizes and I fully recommend Glasscubes to anybody looking for secure, cloud-based filesharing and collaboration solutions. Pros The collaboration aspect of Glasscubes is what really makes it stand out, allowing teams to store, edit and share documents across multiple locations and organisations. It integrates perfectly with MS Office and 365 with the recently-added feature to edit online in Office 365. Cons Some users can find it challenging to navigate the site at first but this is very easily fixed by a short introduction and training session which we have integrated in the induction process. GIFC Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Glasscubes, Customised platform for organisation collaboration " May 25, 2021 5.0 It has a customised layout system which is professional and easy to store and locate documents, the limitations with not being able to have multiple people editing a document and inability to share a document for editing outside of the organisation means this product is weaker than when compared to google docs. Pros The high security and protection of key documents, as well as the function that allows you to share documents with juniors or other people without giving there the ability to download or edit the original. Also the documents on Glasscubes can be uploaded in versions, so previous versions can be tracked and secured when needed. Cons It is very frustrating to share with other organisations who do not have the permission to access and edit the document as they are not a Glasscubes user, this makes cross-collaboration hard. Also if multiple people work on the same document- at the same time, you will get kicked out and it will become locked to the main editor, so again- not good for multi-person editing and collaboration. It is possible to securely share information from Glasscubes with external organisations, using our 'secure share link' feature. If you need to edit and collaborate with external parties, please contact your account administrator and request that they be added to your workspace. When editing a file Glasscubes locks that file, so that other users cannot edit it at the same time, this protects the versioning of the document. During that time the file can still be viewed online, or downloaded by other users. If you use Office 365, it is also possible to co-edit documents, in much the same way as you can with Google Docs.
