It has been a real game changer for my plant. Documents are easily uploaded and easy to find. The phone app makes it even better so I can add incidents and audits directly from my phone.

Pros

Safety management. It is great for completing audits and recordkeeping for safety training. There are a lot of options and easily customizable for my plant's needs.

Cons

SDS database is a little cumbersome, but improvements are happening often and there are always updates that are occurring.

Overall very pleased with EHS Insight. Our ISO 9000 and 14000 auditors listed it as a strength in our organization.

Pros

Our company utilized EHS Insight for 3+ years. In that time we were able to increase the EHS focus by allowing our employees to immediately report all safety and environmental incidents. They are tracked and automatically sent to the concerned party for action. Response and accountability increased 66%. Another option we took advantage of was to create audit check sheets. Audit compliance increased as they could use the phone app to conduct the audit in real time.

Cons

The number of notifications that our management received was high for each incident reported. This took some time to understand how to limit the notifications for each step of the process.

Our overall experience with EHS Insight has been excellent. From implementation to day-to-day use, the platform has consistently delivered value to our safety management efforts. It’s helped us centralize our safety data, improve team accountability, and streamline compliance processes across the board. The system is user-friendly, highly configurable, and backed by a responsive support team that truly listens. EHS Insight has become a critical tool in our safety culture, and we continue to find new ways it can support our operations.

Pros

What I like most about EHS Insight is its flexibility and ease of use. The system is highly configurable to our processes without needing custom development, which allowed us to quickly tailor it to our operations. The mobile app is a huge plus for our field teams, and the ability to capture, track, and report on safety data in real time has dramatically improved our visibility and responsiveness. Their customer support is also top-notch — quick, helpful, and genuinely invested in our success.

Cons

There’s very little to dislike about EHS Insight. If I had to pick something, it would be that some of the advanced reporting features take a bit of time to learn and configure, especially when building complex dashboards or custom forms. That said, their support team is always quick to help, and once you get the hang of it, the system is incredibly powerful.

Personal configuration skills have been upgraded as administrator, as I look back at the beginning of the implementation of the system (in 2022). Understanding the IT-structure in my own way and have the knowledge and experience in what way any change/customization can impact our data and daily work.

Pros

EHS Insight is flexible in customizations. The support team responds very swiftly and they also indicate when you change something, what the impacts will be.

Cons

EHS Insight does not support all configurations when prioritized customizations are needed in a very short time. The system does not allow to add new modules (which is understandable) and limits us to add new matrixes out of the box (3 by 4).

Pros

I like the comprehensive data, but the dashboard that is used to access it needs considerable improvement.

Cons

The dashboard is cumbersome and complicated. It is not user-friendly, and it doesn't allow you to "back-up" readily. You have to start over with every click while you are searching for the right area to access.

Pros

I found it very useful that with the help of EHS Insight we received tracking of the incidents and audits in real time. The reporting aspect was also automated and well-connected with safety KPIs for prompt intervention on the identified risks.

Cons

The issue that was identified was that the incident investigation module did not support associating multiple versions of corrective action plans with a single case that could be a challenge, especially while making follow-ups.

Pros

Using EHS Insight I am able to schedule safety audits and report all the findings at the same time on a particular site and also assign corrective measures on the same day the hazard is identified. I have employed it during site inspection, as well as it allows me to monitor the team’s compliance without using many tabs.

Cons

I was found it does not allow for further filtering between equipment type and equipment ID. This makes it more difficult to trend problem areas related to particular machines over time; I have had to go through cases to determine the particular equipment’s failures.

Pros

I had the opportunity to use the compliance tracking module specifically to alert me of deadlines of permits and certifications. The auto-reminders minimised workload interference while the pre-populated regulation compliance checklists reflected some of the state and federal guidelines.

Cons

I encountered a limitation in the risk assessment in that one cannot transfer the whole step if he/she feels uncomfortable and it means starting again the form. If one of the team members was unavailable, the assessment remained frozen until we resumed it.

Very usefull tool, easy to use and keep everything in one place.

Pros

What I like the most is its user interface and easy usage.

Cons

Predictive data can be sometimes too "caution". While yes, safety is our number 1 concern, it seems it trying to cover everything, that at some point is too much.

Incentivized review: software users are invited to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive for their time and effort. All incentivized reviews are subject to our verification process prior to publication.

We saved around $5,000 a year by switching to another platform. There are quite a few platforms much more oriented toward smaller companies.

Pros

The training catalog was extensive, however not on the list of OSHA approved online trainings for any of the big packages (OSHA-10 and 30, HAZWOPER, MSHA pt 46, etc)

Cons

The customer service team members were not all on the same page, making our time with them a bit problematic. Unfortunately we were mislead into believing their training was OSHA standard.

Reasons for choosing EHS Insight

I did not make the decision to go with EHS insight. However it was my decision to move away from it.
