## What is BackupDrill?

BackupDrill is a cloud-based, managed backup and restore-verification service built for Supabase cloud projects. It captures the Postgres database and Storage files together in a single coordinated snapshot, then writes that backup to a storage bucket the user owns. Data never passes through or rests on vendor infrastructure. Businesses use BackupDrill to confirm that backups actually work. Scheduled restore drills download the latest snapshot into an isolated temporary environment, spin up a temporary Postgres instance, run a full restore, and verify the result against a checksummed manifest. Wall-clock restore time is measured and reported, giving teams a real recovery time objective. Results are delivered by email as a PDF report. Core features include daily scheduled backups, optional Storage file capture, sha256 manifest verification, backup-failure email alerts, and support for Cloudflare R2, AWS S3, and Backblaze B2 buckets.
