Comments: While bigcontacts seems like a nice alternative to the other complicated systems, they are completely asleep at the wheel. You are only as strong as your weakest link.

Pros: It was easy to set up until I had a problem. That's when the support could have really shined and showed that if I had a problem they would be there to help.

Cons: 8 day response to customer support request. They don't number their service tickets so it's obvious they really have no system in place to track any issues. There is also no way to contact by phone anywhere on the site. When a customer service rep does email back there still is no phone option.

This is the best cloud contact management software I have found to date.

Pros: I really like the integrated email marketing campaigns. Very helpful in securing new business and staying in touch with clients

Cons: The mobile end of things could be improved. I'm on the go a lot and this function is important when out of the office.

Overall: Retention of business along with new business.

Comments: I've been using BC@ for 2 years. it was kind of clunky. To move from one file to the next you has to refresh or go back to the master lisst. They recently added a TASKS taab so you can skip this step.

BC3 is a smooth experience. It is easy to glide from task to task. Occasionally the customer page where you enter results reverts back to a DOS style screen, which then requires me to restar the computer. This is the only flaw.

This program is very unreliable and buggy

Comments: I tried to use this program to track real estate leads. It was very time consuming to enter the information because they have crammed too much information on the contacts page so you are constantly scrolling. Next, the program had a problem and stopped showing all of my contacts. It would only show the first 25. This was complicated by the fact that it would duplicate and sometimes triple an individual contact for no reason. Finally, when the add contact page stopped opening, I gave up. Now all 68 of my new contacts are gone. Thanks but no thanks to Big Contacts.

Recommendations to other buyers: Stay away. It was a waste of time using this program.

Pros: Ease of use, level of customization available

Cons: accessing it via my I Phone

Overall: Big Contacts allows me to keep tabs on all aspects of my client relationships and does so in an easy-to-learn manner. That allowed me to convince my colleagues to embrace using it throughout our team and the learning process was painless.
I particularly enjoy the level of customization available and use this to create reports that are very useful to me. The summary page in contact view of a business is comprehensive and very helpful to have open when meeting or talking with a client.
The Big Contacts Support Team has always been very prompt and thorough whenever I have had a question. I enthusiastically endorse this product and company!

Pros: Stores the info and now allows spell check

Overall: Steps for setting up things are pretty cumbersome. I really don't use it much anymore as everything I want is some additional expense (spell check used to be an "add -on" now email confirmation is). We use an event software that is much more responsive, flexible and easy to use and all-inclusive. BigContacts stores the data and lets me send emails. That's about it - ps lots of emails in the history have been lost over time. I just stick with it because all my data is there now....

Recommendations to other buyers: Make it more all- inclusive. Connect with other email programs like Constant Contact. Simplify the set up a bit so you can see more data and it's not so cumbersome.

Pros: Ease of use/accessibility.

Cons: The cut and paste feature in the notes.

Overall: I've been using this software for several years. It has a few areas that could be tweaked a bit, but for the price , this product gives a lot for money.

Overall: I overall love the software and find it useful. Two wishes are compatibility with an app so that I can navigate while on the road better. Also wish I can change the order of tasks at will to show the most recent first if I need to.

Pros: It's FREE! The podcasts are a great way to get you back on track quickly when you find a dead end & wanna just toss your hands in the air & quit.

Cons: I don't know of any yet....

Overall: I use it often as a free user for searches & plan to upgrade my membership to a PRO very soon. I have met many very nice people more than willing to help others get their RE careers off the ground.

Pros: Customizable formats

Cons: That I cannot attach images to the notes without a url and I would like to customize my dashboard to see what I would like to see. This may be feasible but have not researched as of yet.

Overall: We were looking for a minimally priced task list and fully customizable program to track our guests and clients and have found that Big Contacts offers the best functionality.

Comments: I love the ease of adding contacts. I wish there was an easier way for group emails, you should be able to just get an email report without getting everyone. Also it tells you an email may be wrong but you have no way of knowing which one it is. Other than that I love the program. Templates are so easy to make and use.

Comments: I have been with my director sales company for over 6 years, and a leader for 5 of those. While I LOVE creating systems, and using them, paper just wasn't working for me, and I was inconsistent, and drowning, trying to keep up with my customers, hostesses, and my team. In February, I decided to "try" big contacts for 3 months, with the agreement of my husband that if we didn't see significant improvement, I would stop using it. Just TWO months in, and I earned my highest commission check ever! I have systems for everything now, and nothing gets lost because I didn't open my planner! I am in front of my computer daily, so all it takes is logging in, and working down my task list. I have referred many people to BigContacts, and they all thank me profusely after using it!

Comments: BC is easy to use, however there are many times that it lags. While inputting another a new client, the screens don't always change with the tabs, then you have to close it out and restart it. Other times while entering in addional information the system lags. As far as the way the program is set up, that part is easy to use and understand.

Overall: The solid value was apparent from the beginning. Adam provides incredible customer service. The database is easy to use, flexible, yet provides a high level of quality for a reasonable price. We look forward to working with Big Contacts for many years.

Pros: I like that I can customize it -'tab order', check boxes, the report writer

Cons: A silly gripe...but I need to be able to copy & paste the client data into another software application. As it stands now I get the google maps logo in my cut & paste & it really screws up the fomatting, etc in the other applications!!1

I LOVE the google map feature....I just wish it were located somewhere else!

Overall: I've yet to find ONE tool that does everything I need. I've given up trying. Big Contact does a better job at handling most of my data. I still rely heavily on a variety of spreadsheets, but this is a great component of a larger system.

I've found their customer service to be far superior to any other team. Easy to reach, knowledgeable and helpful.

Recommendations to other buyers: Sadly, I don't think any software meets the all the needs of any business. But this tool is flexible enough that it makes a nice team player as a part of a larger system.

Overall: I use this program to send emails to my new team members. It is very functional and does the job that I need it to do. The emails are easy to edit and create. Overall, I'm happy with the results I have using this program.

Cons: Sometimes it can run a little slow, and freeze up.

Overall: I love BigContacts! I work for a local franchise of an International Real Estate Brokerage, and I use the system as a hybrid CRM/ATS. It's great because there is currently nothing on the market that is designed specifically for what I use, and BigContacts lets me completely customize the system to meet my needs. They recently updated a lot of the functionality, and it runs a lot smoother and looks much cleaner.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you're looking for something that you can completely customize to meet your CRM needs and fits a budget, BigContacts is great.

Pros: I love the user friendly interface and the ease of use. It allows me to see any updates regarding clients and allow my coworkers to stay up to date on tasks and important information.

Cons: I wish there was a tagging feature to alert people of updated information (notes, activity), instead of them having to "follow" the certain contact.

Overall: My company has been using Big Contacts for a little over a year now. Since they released the new updated version for beta testing, I have shared it with my coworkers and they are all excited to use the new version. We are able to keep track of customer calls, notes and important information. It is a user friendly interface and is very useful when communicating with my coworkers about clients. We are glad to use Big Contacts and will continue to use it! I will also use it when I open my own business very soon. Thank you!

Pros: Helps me stay on top of my day to day operations, calls and follow up emails needed.

Overall: I currently continue to use 2.0 Big Contacts as the 3.0 version will not allow me to add an additional address under an existing contact. It also won't allow me to add the address under a new contact. This is a function that we must have in order to use the system. I will continue to use the 2.0 version as this gives me the options that I need.

Overall: I started with their first version. I contacted Customer Support a number of times in first month and always received immediate response. Customer Support is based in USA. They continually upgrade their user friendly Software. Price reasonable you can pay monthly or can get a discount if paid annually. BigContact is great for multiple users to see client file and update in real time.

Recommendations to other buyers: Great value for single user or company with multiple users. Outstanding Customer Service.

Pros: Being able to utilize one software for all my needs; email, billing, tasks, clients. Everything!

Cons: Not being able to add as many users needed; for us 3 in the BIG package.

Overall: This system is amazing! I only wish that you didn't have to upgrade for something as simple as a new user. I also have to say that every time I had a problem I got a quick response in the chat. In addition, with the new system they are getting ready to launch they asked for our feedback, I sent it, and all the updates or changes I requested they made and immediately! This only says one t hing about them....THEY GENUINELY CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!!

Comments: We are not a sales-oriented company. Rather we are a 10-employee organization focused on tracking, building and maintaining relationships with approximately 500 partners in our industry. We found Big Contacts to be that nice fit between an Excel spreadsheet (or multiple Excel spreadsheets) and Salesforce. It's robust enough to track and maintain all of the information we need and yet cost effective enough to not break our bank. Because it is a very sales-focused software, there are many features we don't use and there are many features we've figured out how to make work for us. We love the mobility of the software and we're looking forward to implementing the marketing module down the road. All in all, a great find for us and a perfect fit for our organization.

Pros: ease of use. simple design. like how templates can be made for emails.

Cons: current mobile version is lacking with user interface (not fitting on my iPhone 6plus).

Overall: I have been using Big Contacts since December 2010. The user interface is simple. I am not fully utilizing all it's features but what I do use works very well. The customer service have been spot on. I would recommend to anyone.

Pros: It is fairly easy to use. Has good flexibility.

Cons: List creation is not user friendly. It needs to have a contact merge function to deal with duplicates.

Overall: For the most part it is fine. I think the report builder is horrible, not user friendly at all. I would like to see more report capability for marketing purposes

Recommendations to other buyers: The software is mostly great, just a few enhancements would be nice, as well as better stability. it seems to be affected by traffic.

Comments: My company has been using Big Contacts for over 3 years. They have upgraded so much and offer a wide variety of features to accommodate everything we need. One thing we defiantly love is that WE can customize the account how we want it. We don't have to wait on a dev team to do anything.

Pros: Ease of learning curve, fantastic support.

Cons: Lack of boolean searching, difficulty in linking to Google Calendar & clumsy document creation.

Overall: Very robust CRM, complete with email capture & archiving. Just wish it allowed boolean searches, especially "or" searches, without having to download a spreadsheet.

Pros: The screen was very easy to read and all customer info was clearly displayed.

Cons: Cross referencing was not easy. Searching for certain info was not easy, entering info was time consuming. Didn't like having to print reports to find what I needed. The process to find info was very complicated. We couldn't easily figure out how to link our emails so they were added to the history.

Overall: To us Big Contacts ended up being a glorified Rolodex. Information was time consuming to enter, cross referencing was not easy and needing to print reports to find information was complicated. Customer service however was always available to answer questions and guide us through an issue. In the end, Big Contacts was not what we were looking for.

Overall: Does the basics for a low cost. Not very intuitive and reporting is very difficult. Difficult to filter on various fields. Support is mainly by email and minimal. But again cost is quite low.

Pros: The customization and tagging through Quickbooks

Cons: V2 was clunky in the user interface

Overall: I spent months researching the various options for my nonprofit to bring our folders from paper into digital, we chose BigContacts because of the customization of the intake fields and the linking they do with QuickBooks.

2. customer service is prompt, competent, speaks perfect English, is based in the United States

Cons: upgrades are a challenge, but they get solved thanks to the PROS listed above.

Overall: One of our sales team discovered BigContacts in Fall 2007 and recommended we try it. At the time we'd tried two other web-based CRM systems with frustrating results. As soon as I saw the clean, easy-to-understand layout of BigContacts, I was sold. We switched over immediately and the entire sales team (and me) felt a HUGE RELIEF. Since 2007, Big Contacts has gone through several major upgrades. I get frustrated at first with each major upgrade because it changes my routine, but I am confident I'll get it figured out quickly with customer service help. I contact customer service and I talk with someone IN THE U.S.A., who speaks perfect English, who is competent, and who is patient and solves my problem. That's it. Done. Again, huge relief. I like BigContacts so much that I've referred clients and friends to use it. All sold. All happy. So... that's my story. I do not exaggerate. Thank you!! -Karen

Pros: Cloud based and I can access it on my phone. It helps me stay organized and assign tasks to other team members.

Overall: I tried a few other CRM products before Big Contacts and they just did not have the flow I needed for my team. My favorite features are the Task List that I can assign to other people in our team and how easy it is to send letters and other documentation. Big Contacts makes sure I don't forget tasks and it is easy and fast to update important records.

I rely on Big Contacts every day for my business.

I know there is an upgrade coming soon and I can't wait!

Overall: I was looking for a client management system that was easy to use. I had experience with Outlook Express and one other CRM previously that was $40/month. I am not very tech saavy. I was told there was a CRM that was easy to use and very reasonably priced. I checked out Big Contacts and used their free trial. I only needed something basic for my business. I wanted something that would track my clients names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, dates of birth and a system that would allow me to keep notes. Big Contacts has been very easy for even me to use! I know it has even more features that I access and maybe I will need them in the future , but for now, it works great!

Pros: Task lists, easy to input client information, daily reminders of outstanding tasks, able to assign tasks to others

Cons: Between the 2.0 and 3.0 upgrade the option to remove individual task items on the task list page seems to have disappeared.

Overall: The interface took a little while to get used to, but I really enjoy the improvements. The 3.0 has a much better format for adding new clients, which also includes more information fields. The entire system seems to be running quicker as well, which I thoroughly appreciate. I did notice that on the 2.0 version there was an option to remove individual task items from an overall task list, which seems to have disappeared on the 3.0 upgrade. Overall I think 3.0 is the way to go!

Cons: Don't know how to send emails to a group of leads yet.. also, sometimes the emails I send are not instant.

Overall: I can know about the person I am talking to on the phone instantly by typing their name, and better yet... I have all their communications and emails and my notes to make sure I always sound informed. Great product when you have lots of clients and realtors.

I'm impressed that the company has grown into a great organization. Great product and very responsive.

3.0 has a great feel and is very intuitive. I love that some of my suggestions have been incorporated in this new release. I'm sure others suggested some of the same things but it is great to see Big C being responsive to the feedback.

Cons: I needed to invest much more time than I had available to learn how to use it therefore I would say it isn't user friendly "out of the box". Not that it can't be learned and worth the investment if you have the time. I just didn't have the time when I was enrolled in it. I expected it to be easier to use.

Overall: I used BigContacts in conjunction with a program designed for Thirty-One Gifts consultants. I was not familiar with BigContacts before this introduction. I think the program is well designed, very well thought out and complex. For me however, it was a bit overwhelming and difficult to learn in the time I had available to invest in it. That made me very sad because I know that had it been a little easier to learn (and part of that may have been the additional program I was learning designed for consultants, not just the BigContacts portion), it would have been amazing and made a difference long term in my organization and communication with my team. In the future, I may give it another try.

Overall: In my new job for a small business there was no contact management system in place. I had about 110 new contacts/clients to talk to and learn their businesses. I used ACT many, many years ago so I did a trial with them. It was a nightmare getting started as no one was available to provide support. They finally told me they didn't provide support at all for individual users. I discovered Big Contacts and got EXCELLENT support from the very beginning from Adam Yapkowitz and his team. He helped me import my contacts from Excel and has been available any time I have a question. My experience with Big Contacts is five star!!!

Overall: We have found Big Contacts to be a great solution to keeping our staff connected and in control of our CRM. We use calendar functions, schedule meetings, track sales, schedule contact follow ups, add history on all calls and track progress on sales goals and pipeline from mobile and desktop. The product meets our needs at fraction of the price of other products. Big Contacts is very user friendly compared with my experience with Salesforce! We appreciate the value, reliability and the flexible fields that customize the program to meet our needs.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take time to set up properly for your use - like our company titles have location number company name and City in the company title so we can have a more diverse search when looking for a store we are going to service or planning a route for sales calls.

Pros: It's easy for me to use, and it is acts as a manager, safe guard, reminding system, calendar, data base, the list goes on. It steam lines how are sales process should be and it makes everyone a little more accountable.

Cons: Having some issues with some of our users. Don't know if its the browser or what but its basic stuff that isn't working properly.

Overall: As the administrator of this software for our Kubota dealership I'm having mixed reviews from our sales guys. Some guys are just nailing it in the head while others are having what I think is browser issues. I've seen the problems first hand and they can't add contacts. We've kept it simply with only three required fields yet still issues. Were working on it. Other than that, I see what this product can do for us in the future. It's an investment and like investment it takes a little time to see a return. It's only been a couple of weeks now and once we get everyone on the same page I'm sure it will take off. Main thing is, Big Contacts will be a safety net for things falling through the cracks and should lead to more sales. Time will tell if this will hold true.

Recommendations to other buyers: Ease this product in with what your sales guys are already doing. CRMs have a negative feel when it comes to sales guys. I don't know why, I guess everyone thinks their system is the best. Find a way to make this work with what they have going and eventually this will take over. Takes time, give it time.

Pros: Lightweight, off system package

Cons: Some of the screens are not too intuitive.

Overall: We are still in the roll out phase, the uptake so far has been positive.
The sales guys are adjusting to the online inputting of data. The sales team are starting to let the flow of data drive tasks.

Pros: Internal Marketing Module

Cons: The individual v/s company record in version 2.0

Overall: This has been a great resource for our small office team. The most important feature for us? The combination of the marketing module within the CRM solution. We love that everything is updated real time between the main platform and the marketing module.

Pros: Easy to use and set up.

Cons: Lacks some integrations of the more expensive products like Google Adwords and chat widget on the web site.

Overall: Been using Bigcontacts for five years. I use it mainly because it is reasonably priced and gives a good value. We have integrated it with our online store registration system for tracking new registered users.

Overall: Big Contacts has made my life easier. I've used it over the years for my business. It allows me to keep everything organized, contacts are easy to find and I don't waste valuable time searching for information like I used to before. Everything is simple and laid out well. Pros: The customer support is very willing to help and is fairly quick to respond. The program is easy to learn and simple for basic things.

Cons: Could use more features and better reporting. Also, better layout for new features.

Pros: 1. Support is fantastic 2. Price is great 3. It can be as simple or complex as you like.

Cons: Doesn't let me open up stored files within client record. Have to download to view. There is nothing I don't like about this vendor.

Comments: It's a tough balance to create a CRM that's easy to use yet highly customizable. BC has hit a nice balance. I haven't even used most of its features yet.

Pros: Plug n play, mostly. Visually pleasing & understandable. EXCELLENT support! These folks get back to me immediately with help.

Cons: It's great that files can be stored in each client record. But I don't like having to download them in order to view them. I would like to be able to open them online. Also, it may be because I'm ignorant but it doesn't seem like I can do "or" searches.

Pros: Cloud based. Mobile access. Supports multiple users if required. Excellent support from help desk if required.

Cons: Being based in Australia I am in a different time zone and this can sometimes delay response to help requests...

Recommendations to other buyers: Use the free trial. Be prepared to spend time testing the system in a "live" environment. Be willing to change things. Ask the vendor for help as most are very willing to assist.

Comments: I run a small automotive recruitment business in Melbourne Australia and have used local databases for many years. In this industry you need to keep track of "who's who in the zoo" and all previous interactions with them.

Several years ago I switched from PC to Mac.

My database software was PC only and rather than install Windows on my beautiful new iMac I decided to look for alternatives that would work easily cross-platform.

Despite knowing very little about web based applications at that time, I decided to give BigContacts a try. The learning curve was reasonably painless and the support available from BigContacts made the transition relatively easy.

At the time I had an associate based in another state and it was great to have both of us on the same CRM as It allowed me to easily monitor his activities and share information.

Since then BigContacts have released a new and improved version of the software. BigContacts are very pro-active when it comes to improving the CRM and innovating new features. They take the time to talk to their users and are receptive to all feedback and feedback.

I cannot compare BigContacts to other similar products, but because it works so well I have no intention of changing anytime soon.

I believe that all businesses will benefit from using a web based CRM. If a "one man band" like me can derive significant upside from using BigContacts, the benefits for a business with multiple staff / locations will be even greater.

Pros: The best thing about BigContacts is that you can fully customize the CRM to fit the specific needs of your business.

Comments: I use BigContacts for recruitment. I searched for a combination CRM / ATS high and low, and was glad I found BigContacts. Many other CRMs didn't function like an ATS, and no ATS had a CRM function. My candidate searching is done through prospecting (like sales) but I needed to be able to track each candidate's progress through the recruitment (sales) cycle. BigContacts is great because I was able to customize many parts of the system to fit my needs.

Pros: The customization is great. You can create fields that specifically fit your business needs. You can add several users and control the amount of access each user has in the system.

Cons: Sometimes the system can be a little slow, but they are making great improvements each day.

I think this is what I've been looking for!

Comments: We have a long list of people and needed a way to keep their contact information, account history, and status in one, easy-to-access place. BigContacts has provided us with all of those features, plus an easy way to schedule tasks and meetings, attach emails to a person's information in a viewable format, and record what contact you've had with very little fuss.
