### "Needs a calendar"

February 26, 2020

5.0

It has been very good!

Pros

It is helping in assimilation at our church much better than we were doing.

Cons

It is very different from the system we were using. The old system was very basic and simple. I am not a good tech person and I was having difficulty navigating all the features this software had to offer. One thing that we really are missing is a generalized calendar to put all of our church events on. I know there are many out there, but it was nice using the calendar all in the same place one is doing all the other church system stuff in.

### "Easy to Use Software"

December 4, 2018

4.0

Pros

Churchteams is easy to pick up and learn with wizards to walk through common database steps such as adding people, creating groups, editing attributes, and merging profiles. I also love the Customer service and getting to interact with the founder, directly. I've made suggestions to improve the software that have been considered and implemented. It's refreshing to work with a company that listens to its customers and acts upon feedback. It's been a pleasure working with Churchteams!

Cons

I would like to see additional features in the future that provide more flexibility when running workflows and reports. Sometimes when I query a report, I need the flexibility to write criteria as "and" or "or", but this is not currently an option as far as I have seen.

Thanks for the kind review, Nathan. We are really just learning all the possibilities of the current workflow feature and came up with a really cool way to save a report that will initiate a follow up workflow for people who last attended 4 weeks ago for instance. We love this stuff and love interacting with you on it!

### "Church Teams is a great tool!"

February 25, 2020

5.0

Excellent. They are a key member of my team.

Pros

Relatively easy to learn. Group/event registration is easy and very useful for our church. Customer service is the BEST!!! Quick and a live human who speaks english like i do is ready to talk if needed.

Cons

Some features aren't intuitively realized by onscreen options/interface.

Reason for choosing Churchteams

Cost, features and mostly CUSTOMER SERVICE. As a small church with mostly volunteers, i don't have an I.T. person who supports our team. CT does that for us. When a new person has questions, they're eager to bring 'em up to speed.

Cost and HORRIBLE customer service - like they were doing us a favor by taking our call....if they ever would take our call. Almost NO live human support with CCB

### "Ok, but kind of hard to use."

June 19, 2018

4.0

Pros

It is useful for allowing several users within a large church to communicate with their own teams via cellphone or email. It does get the job done and the latest update made signing in a bit easier. So, it does appear that they are responsive to feedback.

Cons

I don't have another system to compare this one with but I found this system hard to use myself. I would try to set up a template so that I wouldn't have to keep retyping introductions to new members. Somehow, it didn't always save and I would have to redo it. I think that someone else had access to change what I had written maybe, so each time different people would type up a template it would save over what the previous user wrote. The problem I have with that is we all had our own logins and supposedly separate groups so this shouldn't happen. I also had a hard time adding or removing people from the email lists. I also found it hard to use update my password. It ended up saving more than one and it was hit or miss on which one it wanted to me sigh in with.

### "Great Church Management Software with a great support staff"

February 18, 2020

5.0

Great experience using the software. I would also say they have the best support out of any company I have experienced. I get a call back in the same day.

Pros

I like the forward thinking toward the next advancement in the software. It started years ago with small group reminder emails for attendance and prayer requests. Now they have added features such as text to give, all check, etc.

Cons

It can be a little clunky on the backend until you are used to using it.

### "An awesome tool that allows leaders access in the palm of their hands!"

October 20, 2016

5.0

I first started with churchteams.com as we were looking for a way to have a church database available to all our leaders from anywhere. In addition to being able to track our discipleship progress with individuals, we are now able to track giving AND we can access this from the palm of our hand on any smart phone or tablet. Boyd has a real heart for the kingdom and is constantly tweaking the program to make it easier and better to use. Thus far churchteams.com is better than any other software we've tried out. And we've tried most of them. In addition its perfect for brand new church start ups. You can track prospects, email them, text them, or generate mailing labels with the click of a button! A lot of people are paying extra for emailing programs, or text messaging systems - churchteams.com handles all that for you! No need to learn multiple systems! Pricing is related to your church strength and questions or difficulties are usually handled the same day! Churchteams.com took over 5 systems and software we were previously using and it does it better! I love the new automated reminders that go out to volunteers one week ahead of their service and the day before! All I can say is TRY IT YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Pros

Access anywhere anytime. Grows with your organization. Does automation of the most tedious things.

Cons

Learning curve, but that the case with any new software.

### "Churchteams Software for Churches"

February 25, 2020

4.0

We are so thankful for Churchteams. We keep much more accurate records now and have much better communication. Sign-ups for events is a very handy feature that we use often.

Pros

We love the ability to schedule people for serving and have the system automatically text them reminders about their scheduled service. It’s also handy to keep track of life group attendances. We also send emails to specific groups and use the group registration feature for special events and outreach opportunities. The teen leaders use the text communication to let parents know if an activity is running late. We use check-In and label printing for VBS and for our community soccer and basketball leagues. We also like the pricing that included unlimited numbers of groups.

Cons

It feels very database-ish in its design. It is a database, so it still works for us. Some features are hard to understand at first, but we did some live online classes at the beginning to better understand processes.

### "New Features all the time"

May 21, 2019

5.0

Set up was easy, training was time consuming but worth it. We love that everyone can have it on our phones and the children's check-in is very easy after initial set up.

Pros

It's easy for our leaders to use. We've used software in the past that's only accessibly to the office, this is accessible (in levels) to everyone. We get leader participation and it even links a list of our groups with leader contact onto our website. Children's check-in and giving are used weekly. We also use the check-in (without label printing) to take attendance of adults in worship. We take attendance in small groups, too.

Cons

We would love it if we could combine daycare/school options found in other programs like ProCare so that we had one database. We'd also love to add a section for outreach so that we can track how many people we serve in our pantry or meet on the street.

### "Building Teams"

February 17, 2020

5.0

We needed to have a means for team directors to communicate to leaders and within the team. Churchteams allows this. We also needed a means for easy access by users and the texting option and emails with Churchteams allows this.

Pros

Communication is key. The texting options, reminder emails and texts, reports to review attendance, volunteer scheduling, and communicating between teams is awesome

Cons

Not necessarily things I like least. Some suggestions are block out dates for volunteer scheduling and having a Calendar built into ChurchTeams for events. Highly recommend ChurchTeams.

Alternatives considered

[ChurchStaq](https://www.capterra.com/p/211982/ChuchStaq/)

### "Great Church Management Software"

April 19, 2022

5.0

Great software, great customer service.

Pros

Church teams has so many features that we use in our ministry.

Cons

I really like all of it. It would be great to have built in financial software like Church Trac has come out with.

Review Source

Response from ChurchTeams

April 27, 2022

We appreciate the privilege of serving you guys, Rick. Contributions has to be in a ChMS because of individual data integration. But we don't really have accounting (ledger, payroll, budgets, P/Ls, etc.) on our roadmap. When I was a church admin I had both QB and one of the early church accounting systems. QB was so much easier for our finance team (business volunteers) and auditors (CPAs) to use because of familiarity. The ChMS version regularly required support to get what the teams expected. There is such a limited overlap of data (just fund details for each deposit) that the ease of use for volunteers trumped integration in my mind. I'd love your thoughts though.

### "Church Teams Review"

September 27, 2019

5.0

Church teams is the second church system we have utilized,. The first was strictly for youth purposes while church teams is useful for the entire church. It is very user friendly, as I am not a computer savy person. I am continually learning how to best use the system to meet our needs and to make life a little easier for everyone.

Pros

The thing I like the most about church teams is that they are continually adding, tweaking and updating features to the system. When they do make a change or update they communicate how to utilize the new addition.

Cons

That text to church is an extra fee, however I do understand that.

### "Experience using Church Teams"

November 27, 2018

4.0

We use many of its features and it has worked for our church. I have to say the customer service has been outstanding for us and that can make all of the difference in the world.

Pros

It’s functional and has some features that help with small groups

Cons

It feels a bit outdated. The html for pictures and graphics make it feel like an older program. There are some additional features/customization to the children’s check in that would be nice to have especially concerning label print outs.

### "Multiplying Social Impact w/Churchteams"

December 8, 2022

5.0

Pros

The CT team listens to its users! I believe this system is so perfect because not only are the CT team experts and passionate about what they do, they routinely make adjustments that support the end user.

Cons

CT advertises integration with PMM that advertisement I'm sure leaves most feeling like this is an added benefit. Although that is partially true, it's not completely true. Our volunteers pay for their own screening costs. For organizations that have an App pay PMM account, it's not possible to integrate the two. Additionally, if we were to take on the cost of paying for the volunteers, the $19.95 fee that the volunteers pay becomes $26/ volunteer for us - According to the PMM team. I was very disappointed to find this out.

### "I Love Churchteams!"

October 18, 2016

5.0

A few years ago I was exploring options for updating our church management software... we were in need of additional functionality, but the provider we had at the time wanted us to pay a premium price for every add on that I needed, including support! When I spoke with the representatives from Churchteams and they told me that one price includes all of the functionality that I needed, and our pricing was based on the size of our church, I knew I was finally talking to a company that understands what it takes to run a church. Their staff is very friendly and responsive, and I have had a great experience any time that I have reached out with questions or for support. Another great thing is that they are constantly making improvements to their product, and they are open to feedback about the changing needs of ministries. Churchteams is easy to set up, easy to use, and they can support churches of almost any size. When I look at the value of the product that I am getting in relation to the pricing, this is probably one of the most church-friendly companies that I have ever discovered. I am a very satisfied customer, and I highly recommend Churchteams as a church management and database solution!

5.0

I have been using ChurchTeams for just over a year now. It has helped me really gauge the health of my ministry and improve my processes in getting people connected. I really appreciate the training CT has provided for me and my team.

Pros

For my ministry, reporting tells me so much. I have used other systems in the past, but ChurchTeams (CT) has by far the best reporting. They are ministry first guys and really care about getting you the help you need. Team rocks!

Cons

Outstanding experience! Reps are great guys. I have spoken to both of them over the years and always have great customer service and they quickly answer my questions or fix my problem. We use the online giving platform and text-to-church also. They have great webinars to show you how to use their product as well as a great information resource page. The cost is very minimal for everything you get!! Thankful I chose Churchteams for our church!

Pros

The easy of use to input data is wonderful. The system is very forgiving if you entered anything in wrong, it is very easy to fix it. Their customer service is amazing! Our church has used churched teams since 2013. I don't see us switching anytime soon.

Cons

There is nothing that comes to mind that I don't like. Not that this is something that I dislike, but the information output is only as good and the information input. Churchteams is a huge "excel" spreadsheet. So whatever info you are trying to get there is a way to get it. You just have to put your information in correctly.

Churchteams has been fantastic for communication, groups, check in and volunteers.

Pros

Cons

### "Church Teams review"

September 27, 2019

5.0

It’s been great and I look forward to learning how to use it better this year.

Pros

Church teams customer service did a good job helping us get set up. It’s easy to use for most of the needs we have. I like that it’s set up for a small group church.

Cons

I use a shortcut in my phone to get to church teams. I think a church teams app might make it more user friendly for the work we do. Most people seem to access church teams by phone.

Reason for choosing Churchteams

Best value for the dollar. One of my colleagues recommended church teams.

### "Membership, Attendance, Finance and Small Group - ChurchTeams covers it all!"

September 23, 2019

5.0

It's been a tremendous help with required tracking (gender, ethnic) and reporting. It also works great as a 'holding' and tracking place for contributions. However, I would not recommend it as the financial 'be all'.

Pros

I think the best tool is that the reports can be customized and saved to a menu! Membership records are easy to maintain. Also, the ease of entry of Sunday offerings has been of great value.

Cons

I dislike having to fully open a member's record in an edit mode just to view details (when and how joined, etc.). It's very inconvenient; too many steps, too much time and limiting for those who don't have administrative permissions.

### "Review"

June 4, 2019

One of our current needs is to be able to track the overall activity of our members. By using CT software, we can run a report to see exactly what groups and service ministries our members are involved in. This has been very helpful during our recruiting times because, with a quick look, we can see who is already involved and who is not. Overall, this software program has served us well.

Pros

As a ministry assistant, I track data on member and group activity in our church. I frequently make changes, moving members in and out of groups and tracking their movement. I find CT software to be user-friendly, simple and straightforward. Communication by email and text is fairly easy, and the look is clean.

Cons

I frequently move in and out of the main group page to check information on individual groups, and when I return to the main page, I don't want to have to start at the top of the page again. I would like to return to that part of the page I was at last.

### "Abundance of features, especially for the price."

February 7, 2018

5.0

Pros

We are just a couple days away from our biggest event of the year and I just wanted to say that Churchteams has been integral in our registration and follow-up processes. We have been able to coordinate several different teams, run a myriad of reports and even handle registration for 125 guests and 235+ volunteers. Last year we had about three different tools and a variety of spreadsheets to handle things. This year CT has done pretty much all of it. Yes our children's ministry and others use it weekly but this has been one of the biggest benefits for me personally in overseeing this event. I've been using CT for 7-8 years total between two churches and it has served me well all along the way. Any time I run into a question I can contact our rep and he gets back to me promptly.

Cons

Given the plethora of features some really are not applicable to our situation. Similarly some of the more advanced features take a bit of time to figure out.

### "Great product for the cost with an awesome team that provides you with great support!"

May 21, 2019

5.0

My overall experience has been wonderful. The team at church teams bend over backward to help you in any way that you need.

Pros

I love that this software allows me to set up groups easily within just a couple of minutes, plug them into our website, and send out weekly reminders without any hassle on my part. The ability to schedule volunteers with ease and send out reminders is a huge bonus as well.

Cons

The texting software is limited in characters per text and you have to know the cell provider to have authorization. The more people you have in a group the more difficulties there are sending out texts and people receiving them in the time frame you have scheduled them to be sent. I have some people that receive the texts multiple times, some that never receive them, and some that receive the texts several days later.

### "Great product and services, except with Macs"

September 26, 2019

4.0

Pros

I love that there are so many different features in one package. I like that this system is so comprehensive: check-in, giving, church management, etc all in one place. I, also, like that when we have questions, someone from church teams is always willing to be on the phone talking things through in a friendly and respectful way.

Cons
