Pros: We installed the EnterpriseIQ software in 2013 with a Go-Live in 9 months. The implementation was on time and on budget. We then spent 2014 taking advantage of the initial software modules.

In 2015 we purchased the RealTime Production and Process Monitoring hardware and software which was implemented over the next few months. We now have the ability to capture cycles, record scrap and monitor processing parameters as they occur while the press is running.

Cons: IQMS has experienced a lot of growth these past few years so we have dealt with a lot of different people from our account representative, to EDI support, to helpline support personnel. With this growth the knowledge of the products and responsiveness has declined.

A must have in the plastics industry.

Pros: Rock solid, it just works. Quick technical support available both by phone or web chat. Very powerful and intuitive.

Cons: Major upgrades and client installations could be more streamlined. Multi monitor support could be improved as windows can easily get lost.

It appears that features were haphazardly added to the software, some features don't work

Pros: Not a lot, would be great for a Plastics company, but for discreet capital equipment and for an FDA regulated company it is inadequate.

Cons: Very difficult to maintain, Many manual workarounds that shouldn't be needed are required to get the software to work.

Pros: Software has everything we need, Plus some. Very customizable for any customers needs. Once it's up and running not much you need to do with it.

Cons: Patching and your updates are terrible and when you apply KI's that will introduce other issues. What it comes to support you don't know what you're going to get. I feel like your engineers some know your product very well others I won't talk to.

Overall: It Does everything we need

Pros: Overall functionality seems conducive to manufacturing companies. The "Pros" are simply that it works. That's really about it. I would not have chosen this software if I wasn't involved in the decision making process.

Cons: Outdated, many hidden features that are not easily found, help documents don't really help. Training is expensive

IQMS is a very versatile system that offers a lot of functionality for a reasonable price point.

Pros: The system is very flexible to many processes and industry requirements. The company really uses user feedback to help drive software enhancements and support fixes. You get a lot of functionality for very low cost. The implementation process was well managed and we were able to go-live ahead of schedule and under budget. Not many ERP implementations can boast that.

Cons: There are sometimes too many available options and ways to use the system. It can drive you to implement a process in one module that inadvertently limits your usage of other modules. Navigating how the system works as a whole is often unclear and can be frustrating - not knowing that checking this box over here affects something over there that you were not even thinking about. The last few years of growth have been painful from a tech support standpoint, as they can't keep up with hiring and training and you often have to train the support person how the system works before you can even discuss a bug or issue you are facing.

Overall: As a mid-size business with global locations, this ERP was really a lifeline. The price tags on the big ERPs are untenable and often don't support the unique needs of a lean manufacturer. It's not the prettiest system out there, but I appreciate the flexibility and the fact that IQMS is dedicated to improving the software.

Pros: The depth and breadth of the program is impressive. I like the flexibly of use from a small section of manufacturing process, to using it fully from quoting, production and quality testing. Consistency but continued expansion of the IQMS program is appreciated (I am a user since 2004). Help desk can be very responsive when it comes to problems/questions arising. If it is a major problem they will `take you by the hand¿ solve it with you. With the interface I appreciate the ability to jump from window to window to window. I also appreciate it is a multi-window program.

Cons: The structure of the database not being directly linked to the naming scheme of the interface can be frustrating when creating reports or finding problems. The structure of security section is hard to manage (groups and sections instead of individual profiles and direct security approvals). Not being able to easily substitute alternative items in the BOMs/Work orders can be a hindrance to accurate consumption. Also the structure of the consumption can be awkward.
If a change is needed to the program a committee gathers once a year to vote on the focus of the upgrades and improvements, is the process to update errors to the computer system, instead of a more instant solution (though if it is obvious they will fix it sooner).

IQMS has become part of PRISM, and handles our processes for business from quote to invoice.

Pros: Real-Time integration, and our ability to utilize IQAlert and SmartPage for Real-Time display of metric data.

Cons: Updates over the last few years have broke functions that have caused problems. Seems like more effort needs to be put into software testing and debug before service packs are implemented.

Overall: Helps run out business and give us quick access to all data to help manage our business on a hourly/daily basis.

Pros: IQMS has adapted to meet the needs of our customer requirements that are constantly evolving. They have also put forth a good effort to make enhancements to the system to improve or add functionality to the software for a better manufacturing ERP experience.

Cons: Upgrades can be a lot on the rough side. Even with testing prior to going live there are things that happen that should not. I am not sure if is a always a live load situation that provides the challenge, but there has been an increase with issues happening in the upgrade process. Support has also taken a hit over the past couple of years. Level 1 support is lacking on anything but basic issues. If there is anything complex, good luck. Also, if anything happens outside the normal front end interface about 50% of support won't even attempt to help you and the customer is on their own.

Overall: We use the software to run our entire company.

Pros: MES functionality easy to set up and use. Scheduling module easy to use, easy to move stuff around and work around constraints.

Cons: I think the reporting is a little difficult to use. They have a good base of generic reports, but customizing is difficult. It would be a lot better/simpler if there was an easy to use dynamic reporting structure within the system.

Pros: Being specifically designed for the plastics industry helps find pertinent data easily. IQMS listens to the users and will make modifications to meet user's requests.

Cons: I wish there were more standard reports with more descriptive titles and that the necessary report parameters would be highlighted. While I'm very conversant with the accounting and financial reports, it's using reports from other modules that I could use more information on.

Overall: One common database for information. Real time information. Covers all aspects of our business.

Pros: The Real-time live production monitoring is great. The scheduling is strong. The "jump" feature across most modules it great. The context-specific help is good. Smart-page is good.

Cons: The forced blanket orders for sales and purchase orders is cumbersome and seems complex. MRP is a bit scattered and could be streamlined.

Overall: Increased ability to schedule and monitor a wide variety and volume of orders. We try to run our business as much as we can with this software.

Pros: It is easy to go between different screens within each module. The GL is user friendly as well as the AR module.

Customer support has always been friendly, easy to work with, and knowledgeable. I am excited for our next step which is moving to the cloud.

Cons: Set up is very extensive. Yearly maintenance is expensive. Some features/functions are global settings and not all e-plants operate exactly the same.

Cons: I would say Customer Support - Seems like we have to talk to several people before we can get things figured out. Would also like to get information about upgrades and when they're available. Comments: As far as the manufacturing side IQMS does a good job. It is when you get outside the manufacturing that you run into issues. The HR and reporting functions are not nearly as robust as other software that I have used.

Pros: Pro -IQMS is a good manufacturing system. The labeling functionality is very good and helps support tracing the origins of all the parts we manufacture.

Cons: Con- Once you leave the manufacturing area, performance and customer service for this area really drops off. One of the weaker HR, payroll, training and reporting systems I have ever worked with.

Comments: We are a mid size assembly company that chose IQMS after a long selection process. I can't review a whole lot right now because we are still in the build process and have a go live date in March.

Pros: Navigation in the software is by far superior to most of what I have seen before. The way you can jump between modules and drill down are major time savers for us.

Cons: We have ran into quite a few software bugs. The set up of the system is a very very long process much longer then we anticipated. We were told the Time and Attendance module would work for us and now we have figured out that is not true.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would recommend IQMS as of right now. It seems like a stable platform and very user friendly. They have awesome support between the myIQMS site and live tech reps it is great to know they are looking out for you.

Comments: After working with JD Edwards, QAD and Epicor at other companies, it is refreshing to be back with IQMS. In my role I work with all departments to improve processes and better utilize ERP.

Of all the systems mentioned IQMS is by far the most visual with color coding throughout. At a glance you can see which releases have shipped, are due, or are late. The scheduling gantt chart highlights which work orders are going to be late, won't have material on time, or need expediting. Real-time production monitoring shows visually what machines are running slow, fast or down.

It is also highly productive. You can right-click on any record to jump to all sorts of related information. The IQ Alert system is an incredible tool that allows you to manage any process by exception. You set it up to look for any problematic situation, and email somebody when a problem is found. For example: uncoded downtime, forgetting to enter certain data fields, raw materials overdue by X days, something moved into a hold area, calibrations coming due, etc. It can also auto-email reports on a schedule, process files, perform backups, clean up files, etc.

Most importantly, their support is far and above every other ERP company I've worked with. Usually all it takes is a phone call. They answer your call and connect you directly to the person that will resolve it. No entering tickets or getting bounced around. Usually, our issue is resolved before we hang up. If not, they do a great job with followup. No system is perfect, but having great support is critical in a manufacturing environment.

Pros: Great customer service! Ease of initial installation and upgrades. Timely upgrades packed full of enhancements! Software enhancements designed around user input.

Cons: Becuase of the amount of enhancements that IQMS puts into each upgrade, when you request an enhancement, it may not be incorporated in the up and coming release.

Overall: This is a great choice for Manufacturing ERP software. Based on user input, IQMS continually provides a multitude of enhancements in every release. Customer support is excellent! Software is easy to use. It also allows user to customize fields providing great flexibility in design. IQMS provides a hugh assortment of canned reports, but also provides the ability to create your own with Crystal Reports. IQMS provides and supports a GREAT product!

Pros: We currently use Enterprise IQ for Manufacturing (Inventory Control, Production, WMS), EDI, Accounting and are in the process of bring over our Quality Systems and Maintenance.

Enterprise IQ is almost wholly integrated. Switching to EIQ, we replaces at least 6 different applications if not more.

With the level of integration, it is easy for end users to pick up new modules as the interface is the same throughout the software.

One of the best aspects about IQMS is there willingness to take feedback from their customers. If there is a feature missing, or not quite up to par, they will almost certainly remedy it.

Cons: There are only one areas i could find issues with.
While the support staff is very good and respond timely, they are not availble after hours or on weekends.

We run 25x5 and need to do our upgrades and maintenace on the weekend. Also, being in the Eastern Time Zone, if i have an issue early in the morning, support doesn't arrive for a few hours.

Overall: I highly recommend IQMS to anyone seeking and ERP system for manufacturing. While forcing conforminty, it is still highly adaptable. When researching ERP vendors, IQMS easily stood above the other's we looked at with the level of integration provided

Pros: - Help Desk - available 12 hrs. a day M-F
- After a call, the Help Desk will usually follow up with you the following day to ensure everything is working properly
- Able to "jump" from screen-to-screen within the system without having to back out of an area
- Understands and knows injection molding
- We really like the RealTime monitoring system - we are able to know what presses are running and if they are fast or slow at the glance of a screen
- They LISTEN to their customers wants and needs

Cons: - They are growing so fast that they were not able to provide an implementer on-site when we went live on 1/1/12 (all were previously booked)
- At this point, a little more "IT intensive" than we were first led to believe (we do not have an IT person on staff), but again, they are more than willing to assist

Overall: I believe IQMS is a very good system. Yes, we have struggled during our implementation process, but we want to have everything correct the first time. As the lead of the implementation team, we are anxious to learn/implement as much of the system as we have seen the power and benefits that IQ has vs. our previous ERP system. From an accounting perspective, I don't have any issues. If you are in the injection molding business, this is the system for you! They can "talk the talk" and "walk the walk". IQMS is still small enough and is willing to listen to your wants and needs! For example, I've ran across some "weird" options in their screens - when I asked "why is that like that" - the response usually was "a customer requested that option"!

Pros: Many parts or administration seem to be opposite of windows administration such as groups and roles. Being an MCSE since 1996 and living and breathing the Microsoft way there has been a few adjustment. I would like to see a more ¿¿¿Quickbooks-ish¿¿¿ user screens, though I do think it is rather easy to use.

Cons: We have had the system for so long they have had some many hands in the cookie jar and made the system so custom, for me coming in as a new admin doing all jobs of the IT/IS dept its rather hard without notes on how to add a report, or change rights or the full understanding of EDI. I have heard more than one ¿¿¿did you take the EDI course¿¿¿ umm yea and then I didn¿¿¿t use EDI for 6 months. A lot of admin's do it all, Cisco, windows, switching, IQ, AD, DNS, DHCP and so on. We don¿¿¿t only support one discipline so it¿¿¿s not easy to remember how the admin before customized IQ and that tech support can¿¿¿t always help.

Overall: It fits our needs for the most part as it grows, all the customization we have done is now somewhat standard.

Pros: The list of pros is endless. IQMS provides end to end visibility at any level, at any time: past, present and future.
If there is a functionality lacking, IQ will find the solution for you whether it be education, a modification or a workaround.
Add the CRM package and you can have total visibility and connectivity to your Sales Team, their prospects, quotes and forecasts.

Cons: IQMS provides stellar support to it's clients. This paired with the abundance of user resources (training modules, user groups, myiqms.com to name a few) we have yet to encounter any cons.
If you do encounter any in your usage, create an awareness and IQMS will consider, poll and find a solution just for you.

Overall: IQMS is hands down the leader in software for Injection Molding. This IS your single database solution software.
From pre-order to invoice - total visibility-no surprises. There is nothing IQMS lacks. Having just scratched the surface of its capabilities - it is a fact that IQMS will be instrumental in taking us to the next level - and yes, IQ is the perfect name for it!

Pros: IQ has provided us a very solid and reliable resource to manage our business. From the start, we have been able to gain control, and better manage our inventory, production and order backlog. Our technical and customer service personnel are able to offer excellent customer support for our wide product offerings via the CRM modules.

Cons: Very few. Would like to be able to customize some of the screens, or create views that would allow users to just see the fields that they need.

Overall: Would highly recommend IQMS

Pros: IQ is an excellent ERP system. We are a custom plastic injection molder and the system has so many features that benefit our industry.
The system is feature rich and meets the majority of our needs. We are extensively using Inventory Control, BOM's, Time and Attendance, RT Machine Monitoring, Scheduling and the accounting functions. We have recently implemented Project Manager to track our tooling projects.
With the Quality Documents feature and the Documents features in all of the modules, we have begun the process of going "paperless." Documents are now available to everyone at the click of a mouse instead of searching in a myriad of files.
We are very happy with IQ. The support has been great. We have definitely seen a vast improvement in our planning and scheduling capabilities.

Cons: Scheduling can be a little challenging. The system assumes that you will run all presses all the time. This can cause some confusion and this is why we do not auto-load the schedule. But, the schedule has helped us. In the past, it would take us four hours every morning just to schedule the next twenty-four hours out. Now, everything is on the screen and we can see at a glance where we need to make changes.

Overall: IQ is an excellent system. I would recommend it to any Injection molder or any customer who is looking for a solid ERP system.

Customer Support

Pros: IQMS is an outstanding ERP system for plastics manufacturers. IQMS replaced multiple independent systems in our organization including MRP, real time, reporting, asset management, preventative maintenance, and more. With a limited IT staff, it was very difficult to manage and maintain our systems until replacing it all with IQMS.

Our Controller is able easily to provide up to date financials to our management staff using spreadsheet server.

Because IQMS is so intuitive, it is has been made available to most everyone in our organization.

The support staff at is outstanding to work with. Additionally we couldn't have been any happier with our implementation specialist, Carlos Doria. Much of our success is directly attributed to Carlos' support during the implementation process.

Cons: - Global eplant settings do not work well when two eplants are in very different industries.
- The Outsource Central module may be the only module that has not met our expectations, particularly regarding how inventory transactions are handled.
- Not perfect, but what software is?

Overall: IQMS is an excellent system for manufacturers of plastic products. We investigated a number of different ERP systems before deciding on IQMS and couldn't be happier with the results.

Pros: We implemented IQMS 18 months ago and are generally pleased with the results. We have found a way to meet virtually every goal we had and even some we did not. The person that helped us thru implentation was very knowledgeable and really worked with us to make sure we got up and running. The customer support was readily available and persistent in working thru to a solution.

Cons: While there are literally 1000's of pre-written reports available, we found very few that were of any real use to us as is. We eventually had to hire a report writer to customize virtually every report to meet our needs. In their defense, IQMS warned us of this prior to implementation, but we just expected the stock reports to be more useful and accurate. We used almost all stock reports in our prior ERP system
While the customer support was available and persistent thruout implementation, we were surprised at the lack of direct knowledge of the system. Virtually every question required research and testing. I believe a lot of this was due to our use of the assembly1 BOMS, but we have found this to be true even of the accounting questions as well.
We also found a number of features withint th esystem that appeared to be implemented to meet a specific need for a customer that was not really usable by us, such as the freight cost calculation system.

Overall: IQMS seems to have all of the features we would want for a small/medium business. It has a great deal of flexibility, without an overabundance of complexity. The system is definately faster than the other solutions we looked at, which was one of our deciding points. Overall we are also pleased with the support we have received and their ability to regualrly implement fixes and improvements.

Pros: My company is in the infancy stages of implementing IQMS. We just recently (June 2012) purchased the sytstem after an extensive search comparing IQMS to about 5-6 other ERP systems. The deciding factor in our decision to move forward with IQMS was its ability to accommodate engineering, scheduling, accounting, quality, SPC, etc,,, all under one platform whereas other software companies offered solutions to our needs but had to bring in third party vendors and "link" them with the database.

We look forward to a smooth and successful implementation.

Cons: As of the moment, because we are not using IQMS, there are no negative comments regarding our experience with this software.

Overall: My product ratings are all incomplete at the moment, only because my company has not formally began to use IQMS. Our limited experience up to this point is all positive.

Pros: IQMS has many pros. At the top of the list is the top notch customer service. They are always very polite and helpful. Everyone from the top down is very accommodating and always willing to help us find a solution if the system cannot provide what we need. Another pro are the tools provided to the users. The help files are excellent and very easy to use. In addition to those there are training videos, free webinars every month, and discussion boards. If you still need additional information the Internet Based Training sessions are wonderful and reasonably priced. They are a company who truly listens to their customers.

Cons: Enterprise IQ is very robust and can be a bit overwhelming to new users. Once they learn how to access the tools provided they are very pleased with everything the system has to offer.

Overall: Our company has been using the system for many years and overall we are very happy. Although upgrades(with any system) can be painful we know that we have them supporting us every step of the way. We highly recommend IQMS as your ERP solution.

Pros: We installed IQMS to fulfill our ERP systems needs. We wanted a one-stop ERP solution for plastics manufacturers to deal with EDI through scheduling. This tool had it. We try to match our requirements to the solutions, when they do, we ask the groups to utilize IQMS to solve their issue(s). We have a robust database with more data than we've ever had, most of it factual. Our decisions can now be backed up with history data. When we need more functionality, IQMS wants to help.

Cons: There is a hesitancy to fix things as they are implemented, most fixes (especially changes) require us to wait for the next version. We have a large implementation, across many plants/divisions/areas of expertise, we need the stability of a mature release and (internally) strugle performing full upgrades annually to get new functionality.

We have one caveat in our business that is not fully serviced and that is our distribution center functionality. There is no native software to handle this, however there is a lot of data resources and the ability to utilize Crystal Reports to satisfy to move between distribution and consumption areas.

Overall: We are happy with our choice and implementation of IQMS. We came from a home-grown solution and now have a feature rich, state of the art evolving ERP solution. As our company grows and we expand, we are confident that IQMS can take us where we need to be.
We would recommend EnterpriseIQ to anyone needing an ERP solution.

Pros: Rich features, ease of use
Great jump to options almost everywhere
Covers all modules, and hence centralized database and ease of reporting
Emailing, printing, faxing features are centralized.

Cons: Security inspector module is difficult to manage and administer
PIT transactions are not batched while posting to GL and hence if the business activity is happening, PIT gets affected.
Multiple currency feature needs tightening as well
Sales order revision information is stored within the race tables and not as a revision detail. Does not display the revisions, who made the revisions etc on a standlone screen or one of the tabs in the sales order screens. Important for big $$ sales orders.

Overall: Good buy, but be aware of its shortcomings in the acocunting area

Vendor Response

by IQMS on June 11, 2012

IQMS is contacting this client to discuss specific PIT and Multi-Currency items as we do not currently have any outstanding support activities for these topics. For Sales Order revisions and changes, we have reminded the client of the IQTrace feature which can be set up per company to trace changes to any field within the Sales Order. This trace feature can provide a history of what fields were edited, the previous and new entry, the date and by whom the change was made.

Pros: If you are diligent in utilizing IQMS in all of your enterprise activities (scheduling, accounting, quality, etc.) the wealth of data is easy to locate, report, and analyze. We no longer make decisions on ¿¿¿I think this runs better¿¿¿ or ¿¿¿I don¿¿¿t think it has ever had a quality issue¿¿¿ or ¿¿¿I think it¿¿¿s a high volume part¿¿¿. At a click of the mouse we have real concrete data that can drive almost every business and resource planning decision we have to make on a day to day basis. We don¿¿¿t need to track and report data manually via an excel spreadsheet. The data is imbedded in IQMS and we simply need to retrieve it and use it to guide the decision process. We can run future utilization models and profitability reports which allows us to have a confidant plan for the future. We can also change the variables and run models to better understand the significance of such adjustments.

Cons: Since IQMS has been able to find a solution to every challenge I've posed, I cannot identify a specific con.

Overall: The software has all of the key components for manufacturing and is designed for the plastics industry. The company¿¿¿s dedication to continual improvement means that you¿¿¿ll never have to worry about it becoming a dinosaur.

Pros: - The warehouse management system ensures that as long as you have the parts in stock you ship the correct parts. All you have to do is point, scan, and print.
- The variety of modules allows you to tailor the system to your needs.
- Customer support is exceptional and always willing to help out.
- The ability to write custom reports allows you to manage your processes how you see fit.
- Being able to directly change/improve the product through Software Enhancement Requests means that you have direct influence on the direction the software takes.

Cons: - The initial learning curve can be a little challenging for someone who has no previous ERP knowledge. Consistency in screen layout helps to ensure that after a short period of time though, things fall into place quite easily.
- Although it ensures thorough testing and standardizes the product, Software Enhancement Requests sometimes have to wait for the next version or service pack.

Pros: IQMS shows it's strength in the plastics industry, but could easily be incorporated in other manufacturing industries. After a visit to the corporate headquarters in California and meeting with some of the staff, I witnessed a group of people committed to making and supoporting the best product available on the market today for the money. I look forward to what the company has planned to demonstrate in Vegas this year.
A high point in my opinion is the fever pace that the software company is attacking upgrades and any issues seen by end users.

Cons: The cons I see are the lack of functionality inside certain forms or modules. Although the software is feature rich, it doesn't carry over or hold consistancy from module to module. I have seen some improvement on this in the latest SP1 release, but more could be done to bridge continuity. (for which I see work being done)

Overall: For the Plastics Industry, a great buy, why go anywhere else!
For others, closely examine your manufacturing process before saying no to IQMS, for the benefits may increase your shop floor visibililty.

-IQ listens to customer's feedback and improves it's software with the dynamic industry we are in.

Cons: -I would like to see an improvement in Secondary Operations planning and reporting. (Non Real Time)

Pros: A 'One Stop Shop' for just about any need for which a database is applicable within the plastic injection molding industry. Having used separate application software programs prior to IQMS, integration has been a huge benefit and future integration is still an opprortunity.

Although I have only monitored it up to this point, the level of information shared by the User Group is amazing.

IQMS Staff, regardless of department, have always been extremely pleasant to deal with eith on the phone or by email.

Tech Support's ability to easily remote in and troubleshoot has been helpful.

Implementation was smooth , facilitated by the knowledge, experience, and confidence of the IQ implementation specialist assigned to us.

We began using scheduling very quickly upon installation; something I was unable to do with another ERP program with which I had exposure.

Taking it's power into consideration, IQ is easy to learn and begin using.

Cons: While Tech Support is responsive and interaction is positive, the need to coordinate a time to "remote in" is not always convenient and sometimes discouraged me from calling or emailing.

While Securities are very powerful and flexible, it seems there is complexity that comes with that power. Mastering securities is not something that appears to be intuitive or quickly/easily learned.

Given the power and potential flexibility of the software, it does require a resource dedicated (at least to some degree) in order to tap into that power and expand use into it's many features.

Cost as well as internal resources have prevented us from seriously considering additional modules and/or consulting visits from IQMS implementation specialists to improve utilization.

Overall: The feeling within our company is very positive regarding EnterpriseIQ. It is a package that appears to have been essentially co-developed by plastics processors through customer feedback. With that, it has been a great tool to streamline our operation.

This, being like many other things, you will get out of it what you put into it. We are a small company with many of us wearing many proverbial hats. Consequently, none of us are dedicated toward ERP utilization / improvement. With that and as expected, expanded use of the software is coming around at a slower pace.

I have no regrets in having recommended the purchase of Enterprise IQ. If I knew then what I know know about the software, I would make the same purchase decision.

Pros: Craftech was one of the first insulations for IQMS back in the DOS days. We have grown with this company and been through thousands of changes with this system. This company has grown and matured in a very positive way always keeping up with the ever changing requirement in the custom plastics industry. IQMS has always supported the customers by holding the Users Group Meetings allowing all of the users to come together and request improvements to the system. Our employees love using this system and we are always finding new ways to improve our company using this very powerful system.

Cons: As a custom injection molding company we are dealing with so many different types of customers we have had a couple of seniors that we have not been able to handle very well. The percentages of these seniors are so low and we just deal with them I dont even know if any system could handle it.

Overall: It is not easy to do an installation of any ERP system but if your team is focused it will get done. The more accurate the information you start with the better you will be in the long term. You will love this system when you master it and the more you can get involved to master it the better you will be.

Capable to Promise-enables us to provide information to customers during initial contact vs call back later
IQ User Group-refreshing collection of super users sharing knowledge/experience
IQ employees from top to bottom-knowledgeable, very receptive to requests for software enhancements if ultimately the best solution

Cons: Employees that are not fully engaged sometimes have difficulty understanding and/or utilizing the efficiencies inherent in IQ. However, several cost and time effective training options are available that range from learning basic navigation/software capability skills thru expanding knowledge of application specific IQ functionality.
Security Administration can be fairly complex and cumbersome to maintain, especially after software updates although there has been recent improvement in this area.

Overall: We are very satisfied with our decision to implement IQ. After an intense benchmarking/evaluation process, IQ finished far above other options. We implemented all mission critical business processes in a very short 5 months given the number of data bases we were using to run our business. I frequently remark that there are 2 or 3 ways to accomplish a task/objective utilizing IQ and our responsibility is to select the method that works best for our current systems/processes. This still holds true today as we continue to expand implementation of the existing modules IQ has to offer while concurrently incorporating new functionality typically recommended by the User community and incorporated into the software via frequent updates.

In many respects, we have only scratched the surface of what IQ has to offer. As our business grows and requirements change, were confident that we selected the best software provider available to help us accomplish our objectives.

Pros: The software is well rounded and offers a complete ERP system to track inventory throughout the manufacturing process. The jump feature is fantastic and a real time saver! There are many canned reports available along with the ability to create new custom reports using crystal reports. Customer support is very helpful and timely.
Alerts are very helpful and have saved a lot of time also!

Cons: The accounting module seems to be a little weak. Some of the payroll setup is difficult to implement and maintain.

Overall: I would recommend IQMS to someone looking for a system to cover a wide variety of processes-from inventory management, BOM's, accounting, etc.

Pros: IQMS support has been a great tool for us. When we have any issues the solution is just a phone call away.

The changes introduced in releases of new versions and service packs has shown IQMS is responsive to their customers needs.

Cons: There are an abundance of canned reports in the system but finding where the report is located can be difficult.

IQMS is expensive.

Overall: I would recommend IQMS EnterpriseIQ to any plastics company that is looking for a long term partner in their success.

Customer Support

Pros: Fully integrated MRP system with excellent scheduling tools/functionality.

Specific functionality for plastics industry.

Very easy to navigate and find what you are looking for.

Help screens are excellent and provide easy to understand direction.

Consistency between modules is excellent. If you know how to use one module, you could (for the most part) perform the basic functions in almost any module.

Cons: Intercompany transactions and distribution functionality need significant improvement.

Real time transactions are great, but can also cause errors when the timing of two different transactions intersect at just the perfect time.

Support availability for Eastern and Central time zones could be improved. Problems often occur before anyone is staffing the support desk. Several hours of productive time can be lost waiting for support to start their day.

Overall: IQMS is very easy to use and has been a great tool for improving our business. The software's capabilities far exceed what we are currently using. I would highly recommend EnterpriseIQ to anyone looking for a fully integrated MRP system.

Pros: IQMS has more features and uses than we will ever need in the blow molding industry. We use inventory control, production scheduling, accounting, time and attendance, and quality modules on a daily basis. I find it easy to use and tech support works hard to answer my questions and get issues resolved in a timely manner.

Cons: Many of the features are made for use in injection molding, but we have adapted them for use in our facility.

Overall: I highly recommend IQMS.

Pros: Complete User-friendly ERP system. Once you understand the functionality you are able to navigate the entire system.
Originally geared toward plastic injection molding, but able to stand in any manufacturing environment.
IQs superior design allows us to be able to run very lean.
Real-time is a must can see plant floor production at a glance.
IQ assisted implementation of additional modules is very thorough.
Varity of options offered for additional training to bring new employees up to speed from VTC (virtual training classes), at IQs facilities, or on-site training at your facility.

Cons: Updates can be difficult & support is not available on weekends when we prefer to do them.
User licenses / additional modules can be pricey

Overall: IQ has served us well over the years allowing us to continually improve would definitely recommend IQ as the ERP system to have.

Pros: -Single point for data collection and analysis. The system ties Manufacturing and SO through Cash Recipes all together in a fully integrated package.
-Go live was relatively painless and our employees picked up the system very quickly.
-Support has been responsive and friendly.

Cons: - Although we did achieve our overall goals for our implementation, the initial phase of implementation was a rocky and disorganized.
-Financial reporting is very weak. We had more visibly with our old Peachtree system.
-Manual posting of transactions is very time consuming and cumbersome.
-There are a lot of canned reports in the system but most require some level of customizing to be of any use.

Overall: We are still in the early stages with the system (< 6 months), so far it looks like the system is going to meet all our needs. We expect that the abundance of features and modules will support us as our company grows.

Pros: Everything flows together smoothly. Being able to jump from one screen to another is a great help. I like the color codes in different area especailly the scheduling module that let's you know if there are issues just by looking at the screen and being able to right click to see what material are needed right from the schedule.

Cons: You can't change class after entering an item. we need more customization on PO's. The shop calendar portion is a nighmare - there are a few presses that we will want to run 2 or 3 shifts for several weeks and I have to manually go enter the time off for each day for those presses, very time consuming. I have not found a good efficiency report that is broken down by operator. Cycle counting is another area that is not user friendly in IQ.

Overall: IQ is the best software that I have used - it takes a while to learn and understand, but once you have it figured out it is amazing everything you can do.

Pros: - Complete ERP functionality requiring no bolt on packages.

Cons: - Honestly I do not see anything within the system that I would label as a Con.

Overall: We firmly believe that the purchase and installation of EnterpriseIQ has been an integral part of allowing DCMC to set the standard in "How Short Run is Done". The fully integtrated ERP functionality has allowed us to manage the complexity of the short run injection molding business allowing DCMC to grow profitably. Pros: very interactive, modules feed information to each other. IQ tends to be open to suggestions. the user group is a very good tool for learning of new modules and networking to find ideas from other IQ customers.

Cons: quoting module is cumbersome when dealing with multi-level quotes. jobs which have post molding steps such as inserting, sonic welding, etc. and jobs which have outsource steps require multiple steps to quote. our quoting department does not do quoting in IQ due to this.
schedule update is a problem when you have eplants in different time zones. there needs to be a way to have eplants run separate updates. otherewise, some plants have schedule updates in the middle of a shift rather than at the beginning.

Overall: i have recommended this software to many people and potential IQ customers over the years. i will continue to do so.

Customer Support

Pros: IQMS provides information at every step of our business, from raw materials to shipped product and from prospect to repeat customer.

Customizable user fields and user forms allow us to adjust the system to fit our processes, rather than the other way around.

Because IQMS data resides in the well-known and well-documented Oracle database, custom reports, data-mining, and intelligent read-only extensions are a breeze.

IQMS also continues to add value to our business by being very receptive to user requests for software changes, and has provided multiple upgrades to allow us to utilize more features of the software and make our processes as efficient as possible.

Cons: Updates are monolithic and, while providing great value in terms of new features, can cause unintended consequences. Due to their scope, they are difficult to fully test before implementation.

The software is more focused on the plastics industry than others in the manufacturing sections and it took a lot more effort during implementation to understand and setup the software correctly.
The security administration is not the most intuitive, and needs to be reviewed after each upgrade.

User licenses are expensive and add to yearly costs.

Overall: IQMS provides us with a flexible infrastructure that lets us not only track vital information, but to truly use that information to better our business. Using IQMS, we have greater understanding of our business, leading to faster and more profitable performance.

Pros: With the depth of features, EnterpriseIQ provides solutions to meet most any challenge. Most users will find that the numbers of features and adaptability will far exceed typical demands. Each new release of EnterpriseIQ extends capabilities and versatility without compromising functionality and ease of use. On rare occasions requiring problem-solving support, IQ is quick, thorough, and professional with their response.

Cons: While standard reports are adequate for many users, generating custom SQL reports may take the average user signifcant time to master. Similarly, security within EnterpriseIQ is versatile and customizable, but tailoring specific security needs can be time consuming.

Overall: EnterpriseIQ provides an excellent foundation for information systems supporting manufacturing operations. I would recommend this software to anyone in the plastic molding industry, and would go as far as to say that you in order to succeed, you need this product.

Pros: Features and capabilities are endless. New software updates keep advancing the technology. Between the users group, CRM site, and tech support, addressing any issues is made easy. External documents feature make it easy to track all the details of projects, emails, PM work orders, BOM's, and many others. Alerts can be set automate tasks, throw constraints to tooling, customer service, maintenance, scheduling, etc.

Cons: Not really a con for the software itself; however you may find yourself blaming the software for something not functioning the way you think it should, and you have to learn to ask yourself the question, " is this an IQ problem or is this an us problem." Don't get caught in the trap of thinking new software will fix all problems. You may have breakdowns in your own processes that need attention; use IQ as a tool to make them better.

Overall: During implementation, keep an open mind that no software on the market will fit your organization perfectly. IQ comes very close. They listen to their users and make improvements on a regular basis. I highly recommend IQMS software.

Customer Support

Pros: Establishing database was fairly easy. We used a combination of manual entry and importing data directly. System is user friendly and even those with limited or no ERP experience can pick it up quickly. Both off site training and on site consultants were good resources for getting the system up and running. IQMS personnel were interested in us succeeding and stayed involved through the implementation process. Follow up issues (after implementation) were handled promptly and professionally. I never felt during the process that we wouldn't get the help we needed. Their consultants have "real world" experience which is very beneficial. Because of it's scalability we will likely never need another ERP solution.

Cons: Not many. When I first looked at IQMS I was concerned that a company our size (we have 15 employees) that we wouldn't have the horsepower to handle the system but so far that has not been the case. Sometimes on site consultant availability can be an issue and if you are on a limited budget the expense of travel can be significant if you do not have someone who is available in your immediate area.

Overall: My overall recommendation is very high. IQMS is a very professional organization that understands our industry and has developed software to meet our needs without a concern of resorting to customization or other expensive add-ons to reach a successful outcome.

Pros: Truly a fully integrated system that allows users with the minimum amount of training to become proficient in a very short time. The ability to jump between modules without exiting the system is lean and effective.

A visible and effective tool that is tailor made to cope with all the quirks of Injection Moulding in a highly competitive environment. Users have all the information they need at their fingertips.

True Real Time data direct from the shop floor in a format that is quick to review and act on. Instant and post production reporting with clear and precise data.

Document control that is simple and easy to manage yet still compliant to quality standards.

Its a living constantly improving system. Management encourage users to give feedback, provide the means to do so and listen to the voice of the customer.

Tech support. Basically when you need it, extremely professional and at a level beyond most major software companies.

Cons: Like other systems Its only as good as the data entered.

The reporting structure is Crystal Report Based. If you do not have in-house Crystal help IQMS will provide support but it is charged separately.

Upgrades and enhancements to improve the system also cause minor disruptions.

Overall: Superb. We spent over three years looking for a ERP system that would balance manufacturing and finance requirements and be able to cope with all the challenges related to injection moulding. We chose IQ and after six years of use have not regretted that decision once.

Operational Effectiveness with IQMS

Customer Support

Pros: IQMS provides a very robust system with a high degree of flexibility. It encompasses and integrates most operational and accounting functions into a single system which is very valuable. This results in fewer user interfaces that must be supported by IT and our Supervisors. It also results in our operational functions all working from the same data base.

We provide a system overview for many new customers. These customers are much, much larger than us, but they usually express that they wish they had such extensive functionality in their company's systems.

The functionality that enables a user to "jump" directly from, for example, inventory item to bill of material, adds to the efficiency for users once they understand it.

Design of the IQMS software allows our Production supervisors, set-up technicians and operators to use the system to monitor what presses are running using "Real-Time". They also can see if the job is running according to standards.

Cons: Because of the fullness of functionality and flexibility provided by IQMS, at times it appears overly complex to users as they first begin learning the system. It can seem a bit overwhelming. Learning to navigate wihtin the system is a key.

The Help system could be stronger, but we consider this a struggle for most software packages.

Overall: We are very satisfied with IQMS. We are committed to continuing to expand our usage of the system. IQMS provides more functionality than what we have learned to take advantage of. We believe it is a system that will support our planned rapid growth in business.

Pros: The flexibility of IQMS is key to our success. We have started including an IQMS demonstration on prospective customer plant tours; all who are impressed with its' abilities and adaptability to customize reports to meet their needs, i.e. inventory levels, reorder points, etc.

IQMS allows us to integrate all our businesses processes into one database with the ability to get data quickly and easily.

Cons: We have had a few issues with software upgrades. While the upgrades always include enhanced features that allow for further integration and ease of use, occasionally the changes have unforeseen consequences that cause small inconveniences.

I would recommend installing all upgrades on a test database first.

Pros: When we started to evaluate a change in ERP systems we investigated several larger company alternatives that for various reasons did not compare in the slightest to the smaller lesser known entity of IQMS. The demonstration of the software left us shocked at how the system seemed to perform. Different areas of the software were linked together in a logical manner. You could see the logical progression from Sales, Scheduling, Manufacturing, Shipping and Invoicing presented in one contagious swoop. We left that meeting overjoyed that we found The One. It was surprising to us that so many other of the bigger companies dont get it like IQMS does. They have it right with this product and the way they conduct their business.

Cons: Support availability. Although there are multiple ways to contact support it seems that when we need support the most we get voicemail. They have gotten much better since implementing a Systems Support menu option and that seems to have eased the call cue a little bit but it is still not quite where I would expect it to be.

Overall: IQMS is a fantastic company and an equally fantastic ERP. I see other companies struggle with all kinds of problems with their ERP. I shake my head and tell them you need IQMS. I cant think of a single product that compares or even gets close. IQMS gives you everything you need in the core software, they adapt it to customers wants / needs, and upgrades are free with maintenance.
