The Little PMS That Could

Pros: HSS has provided us with excellent customer service for a PMS that has all the components we need for daily operations and management of our small family-owned independent hotel. The interface is intuitive and dynamic, while the machinery behind it works solidly and steadily. It¿¿¿s accessibility to staff members for training purposes is much higher than other PMS systems I have worked with. It has a multitude of reports to help us gather information to make decisions about the future of our rate plans and marketing strategy. It includes a number of modules and services to help handle situations such as groups and discounts for packages and specials. It facilitates charges and payments well and its accounting system works wonderfully to keep track of our transactions, producing easily readable folios for the guests upon check-out.

Cons: All systems have things that need improvement. I have seen HSS evolve over time and can honestly say that any con would be very short lived as they are always improving their product to meet the changing needs of hotels and the marketplace.

Overall: HSS is an excellent product for a hotel that is looking for a system that can handle a small number of rooms or a large number of hotel components. It is stable and has a well-trained team of programmers and technicians always available to help out for any situation that may arise. I am always learning more about how the program functions and the things it can do for us. I would highly recommend this PMS to anyone looking for a well-bundled package of power for managing the many needs of the Front and Back Offices.
