Pros: drchrono EHR provides much of the functionality that providers need in order to complete their clinical workflows

Cons: this software is generally well-built, but could be more useful if it had wider market penetration. The future of EHRs is interoperability and drchrono EHR is in an optimal position to expand if it integrates seamlessly.

Comments: Their customer service is broken, to the point that if you have suggestions for them, they direct you to a forum where your post will be never be read by the "developers".

Pros: I think the product does a good job at collecting information, and makes it easy to store important health data for patients.

Cons: Not very good at generating reports. Does not organize data in the way that would work best for my company. Customer service is poor.

Pros: 1. It has a very elegant and eye pleasing layout which is the main reason I believe I tried this software. Navigating through the system is overall intuitive and generally easy to use. 2. It has a great functionality with the IPAD and that is why it has been awarded the best system on the IPAD. I don't even use my lap top to see patients. I use my iPad and then I supplemented this with my lap top. Most functions that are done on the laptop can be done on the iPad. This includes setting electronic prescription. In fact, some things are better done on the iPad such as reviewing the records and chart. 3. Electronic prescription is easy. 4. The system has a great fax capability with ability to fax almost from any screen and to fax most documents. 5. Dictation: The interface with dragon is decent although could be better compared to other EMR. The M-mode dictation that comes with the program is great. While the recognition is slightly below dragon, the M-mode dictation has the advantage of being portable as it is used with the iPhone are iPad. The downside, however, is that he cannot be used on a laptop. However, I really like the M-mode feature and use this more than dragon. 6. Cloud base which can be accessed from anywhere where there is internet and from most devices. ( It cannot be accessed from none appple Smart devices - Smart phones or tablets). 7. Notes and documents are automatically saved in an external third party cloud base ie BOX. This is actually a very good feature as a backup to have a access to our clinical notes and documents. This is of vital importance in cases where access to drchrono is not possible such as going to another system. The downside to this, however, is that certain parts of the chart (phone messages or email messages for example) are not stored in this third party system

Cons: 1. Lack of awareness of what a true legal chart is: As much as I like this system, this is the main reason why I may have to leave and find another system. They are totally clueless as to the difference between what a end-user sees in the software and what the complete chart looks like when requested from an outside source. There is a huge difference and the company do not appreciate this difference. If an outside agency (DEA, medical board or an attorney) ask for the complete medical records, the clinical notes and documents stored at the BOX account can be easily exported. However, communications between you and the patient by phone or email are not stored in the box account and not included in this information. When I have spoken with them about this, they inform me that I could simply print each phone or email encounter. This however is completely ludicrous - as in supposed the patient has 100 phone or email encounters. For unknown reasons, in refilling the same medications from visit to visit, it simply takes it out of the medication list that is generated in the complete dictated notes. This gets very confusing especially for an outside agency that is reviewing the chart. Its is completely confusing as to what medication the patient is taking at the time of the visit. For example, if I have a patient who is on OxyContin 80 mg twice a day, gets a refill on this medication, it takes it off the medication list in the completed dictated note. This creates mass confusion. The way it appears in the signed completed note, is as if this patient was not on any opioids at all, but then all of sudden, I prescribed them a very high dose of 80 mg OxyContin twice a day. (This would be malpractice). This creates absolute confusion especially if my chart is being reviewed by the medical board or the DEA. Furthermore, the signed dictated note does not include the number of medications prescribed. So for example in the case of this person who was getting OxyContin 80 mg twice a day, the note does not include that the total count of the prescription given such as #60 or #480. This makes a difference to a DEA offcer who is reviewing the records. Again, when I have discussed this with drchrono, they simply state that review of the medication history in the software can tell this information. However, they do not recognize that the only thing an outside chart reviewer has access to is signed clinical notes and not the complete electronic medical records. Again, this shows that they are clueless about difference of what the software end-user sees and what an outside reviewer has access to. 2. Templates are still in their infancy and generally they are limited compared to other EMRS. 3. Customer service: They responded very quickly to support tickets. Generally, if there is an major system wide issue it get results rather quickly. For other issues, it tends not to be resolved in a timely fashion or not at all.

Hi Dr. Doonquah, Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the list of product features that have been working well for you. We are very proud of our award winning cloud-based EHR platform. As for the challenges you¿ve mentioned, I would like to clarify some of the points that you may not be familiar with below: Phone call logs: You do not need to print/download each phone call to log it into your box account. You can print a full record of communication by patient in the patient communication report (under reporting tab). Once this is created you can upload it as a document for it to sync to box or manually include it as an additional document. Your account manager will reach out to show you. You mentioned DrChrono templates are limited but the flexibility and customization capability of DrChrono EHR is one of our core strengths compared to other EMRs. We¿ve heard many compliments from both big and small practices how powerful they are and the type of productivity boost our templates bring to their practice. I see that your practice is not currently utilizing our template capabilities to its full potential and that can be easily resolved by our account manager. If you have an ideal template you would like to have in the system we can absolutely build it out for you! Additionally we have released many new template features such as charting by exception, which allows you to set default settings on the template and you can then chart the exception rather than the rule. I also see you do not have any templates set as persistent. This setting can be applied to any template and makes the information charted persist from one visit to the next. Many providers find this to be helpful especially if they frequently copy/paste the same notes. Thank you for your feedback on our customer service. We do take all of your feedback very seriously and we want to assure you that we have invested many new resources into our customer service team and plan to make many changes to improve our support. Your account manager is always a good resource for product related questions so you are using DrChrono to its fullest potential. She will reach out to you to schedule a call and answer any questions you may have. She will also provide product demonstration and be able to review how you are using DrChrono EHR. Regarding the medication refills, please note I have escalated this to our development team. We appreciate your feedback. DrChrono is known for our agility in product enhancement and we are always looking to improve our EHR quickly and frequently unlike other EMRs that take a long time to upgrade their system. Thank you for your detailed feedback and we look forward to speaking with you! DrChrono Team

Comments: I appreciate all the staff does to make sure I am well taken care of. I even get a check in email every year to make sure I am aware of all the new features.

Pros: I absolutely love using my iPad. There is no computers or bulky stands or even a laptop clogging up my counter space. I have one iPad that I carry from room to room. Cheaper and way better.

Cons: The only thing I wish it had was when I copy an old note often through my mistake I will copy a template that I wish I hadn¿t. For example if on the first visit I do an exam and then the next visit all I want to do is type on my SOAP and not the exam page but I accidentally chose copy all previous templates. I would love a "clear template" button on the top of each template.

Comments: Glad I switched from Practice Fusion

Pros: The app, the scheduling program, the fax integration, the ease of use. The customer service has also been great.

Cons: More expensive. Also, there are also some features which I've gotten accustomed to with my current scheduling program (e.g. automatic emails when the appt is scheduled) that are not present.

We love this total system Billing, Scheduling, and EMR. Productivity has improved.

Pros: The ease of completing a competent medical note. The coordination of filling, scheduling, and note-taking. We like that DrChrono works directly with our credit card processor. Could not be happier with the EMR customizable and the speed at which you can complete a note. Like to be able to bring in an iPad to the treatment room and complete the note while taking the history.

Cons: Nothing as of yet. We like it much better than practice fusion which was a free EMR but the billing company associated with practice fusion and is being quite expensive.

Overall: Productivity of the office is increased using the software. The ease of getting a medical note that is compliant and quick

Comments: When running reports you can customize by using extensive filters. I think the program has limitless features. From what I can see so far, you can do anything you need to do on drchrono. Will expand on this as we complete training and get to use the program.

Pros: I love that Drchrono is functional on all apple devices. It's also very convenient for the physicians be able to see their schedule in daily emails. The text reminders and e-mail reminders are very customizable and important. Personally, I love when I get those reminders for my doctor's visits! We are still training, but the program seems to be user friendly and easily figured out when you're not sure what to do. Our trainer is very knowledgeable and readily available for any questions we have.

Cons: The only con I can see at this point, and it's not really a con, is that I feel like there is almost too much automation. You can actually have codes going in when scheduling a patient according to what their complaint is. I think I would not set the system up that tightly. Of course it's up to the practice. I feel it's best if we leave the coding to the specific patients visit. However, some people may like that automation. You can easily tweak it as you go through the visit.

Comments: Private practices who are not owned by hospitals and need a good dependable EMR that is fully functional and affordable should give this a look. Wish we would have known about this one sooner. They also offer billing service for those who can't afford to pay a full time staff member with benefits. I am very pleased with the results we get from drchrono

Pros: This is very easy to learn and use compared to EPIC, Allscripts and others I have worked on in the past. The support is excellent when you need it and our account rep is top notch in her willingness to guide our practice and resolve any issues.

Cons: The payment posting needs a little tweaking, but I hear this is in process. When you apply an adjustment amount that is denied and you must write off, it should write it off instead of leaving it in the insurance balance due until you enter another adjustment line with a 45 reason code. I have made a suggestion and they are working on the change.

Comments: NEVER CHOOSE AN EMR THAT DOESN'T HAVE A DIRECT TECHNICAL SUPPORT NUMBER

Pros: Digitally receiving e faxes Fairly easy e-refills Price point is competative Custom appointment profiles are nice

Cons: 1) There is no tech support number. You can only email tech support. Tech support has taken weeks to get back to us. Most of our concerns have gone unaddressed. People say they will look into an issue and then we will not hear back. EPCS has been down all day. I called the sales number. No one answers. The sales voicemail was full! I emailed every contact I had. No response. I emailed tech support. They wrote that EPCS is fixed and working. EPCS is still not working. I have no ability to talk to a human. No one can give me an ETA, let alone fix the issue. For this reason alone I would never choose this EMR again. 2) You cannot write a note in a patient's chart without creating an appointment. 3) The SOAPNOTE set up is just strange. 4) Our outgoing e-faxes don't work properly and no one has gotten back to us about this issue. 5) There are no lab, radiology, pathology tabs. You have to assign tags manually in each chart. 6) Electronic lab results and uploaded lab results cannot go to the same folder. 7) As soon as we gave our credit card we have not heard from our sales rep and no one seems to care if our account is functional or not.

Hello Kristina, We are sorry to hear about your experience and would like to follow up with you in regards to the concerns you've noted. During the implementation of our EHR, your practice has been assigned a dedicated account manager who can help you make the most out of DrChrono EHR, and we've been informed that your Account Manager has been in contact with you. In addition, our account management team holds regular account reviews to provide product updates as well as document any feedback you may have. Our marketing team also sends out our Account Review Request emails to our customers so that we can proactively touch base with any of the customers that want to have their account reviewed or to answer your questions. In terms of technical support, we respond to most of our online support tickets within 1 business day. Moreover, there are numerous knowledge base articles that can answer most of your technical questions. Our sales line is dedicated to the sales team and not our customer support so it is not the right number to call. Comments: This is a great program but if it had a slightly more efficient layout, speed or ease of use, it would stand out above other systems. It is a decent value for the price.

Pros: -easily customizeable -many features regarding billing, scheduling, alerts, messages, labs, faxes -can be used by an integrated office with multiple locations and doctors

Cons: -long custom macro sets can lag while loading -having separate tabs open for the scheduler and each patient's note can slow things down -there is no way to get an instant glimpse at someone's records without clicking buttons

Comments: appreciate that as small single provider in part time practice that monthly cost is reasonable, if it was much more expensive, i would be tempted to go for some of the free services available for electronic billing, prescribing, etc

Pros: that EMR, electronic prescribing, electronic billing, in one easy to use program, especially like how with electronic billing, patient statements are automatically created once insurance pays their portion, makes billing very easy, cost effective compared to billing service

Cons: delay in getting customer service, no ability to get immediate answer to simple question, would like more already created templates for psychiatric practice having to click on each item for standard MSE in physical exam takes more time than i like

Comments: Once you commit to an EHR, it's a colossal headache to change. I think that if I had taken more time to work with drchrono before taking the plunge, I probably wouldn't have chosen it. Also, they have partnered with Box.com for cloud-based backups. As a result, we decided to use Box.com for file sharing for our business. Huge mistake; Box.com is probably the single worst cloud-based file sharing system I've encountered. Dropbox is better, iCloud is better, Google is better. Box.com simply doesn't work, and their customer service recommends things like "oh, it's not synchronizing? Just delete everything and re-synchronize, that should do the trick." Buyer's remorse...

Pros: Tablet-based / Cloud-based interface is very flexible for working at multiple locations, doing work from home, etc.

Cons: When first presented, it appears extremely customizable, but the initial appearance is deceiving. In fact, the interface is highly restrictive and makes notes flow quite poorly. Customer service has been dismal on the whole: response times are extremely poor, and most of the time the answer I get to my questions is "Oh, sorry, no, you can't do that in our system, but here's a multi-step workaround that will have you tearing your hair out every time you have to take this incredibly roundabout path to get from a very logical point A to another very logical point B. Feel free to spend more of your valuable time making feature recommendations to us for future iterations."

Comments: Very few automated prompts. I would like a system to work for me not the other way around. it would be nice to prevent user errors with messages that pop-up such as "you forgot to input billing"

Pros: Very easy to use, works well on iPads, can facilitate use of multiple types of providers (MD, PT, OT, massage therapy, dietitian, etc.)

Cons: Unable to track visit counts, authorization numbers, difficulty with appointment scheduling. SEVERAL times the system has sent out incorrect appointment reminders due to the time zone being incorrect. Despite contacting customer support repeatedly, this took several weeks to change and has still happened several times. We have noticed several glitches in the system that I am unsure why they are not corrected for.

I used this software in a Chiropractic office which worked well.

Pros: The software is easy to use. It was easy to setup and get the program going on our system as well. They also have good support.

Cons: It isn't the most intuitive software that we have used. There are some archaic features that should be updated and streamlined so the software is more efficient.

From a physicians perspective, a very unintuitive system with many idiosyncrasies that make it difficult to learn

Comments: Once again, an EMR that may meet the needs of administrators, but fails to help those who actually provide the health care services.

Pros: - Lots of pre-programmed macros - built in dictation works well - Electronic prescribing works well on app based version (but zip code needed to find a pharmacy using the web based version)

Cons: - Web based version very different from app based version - illogical provider work flow - steps needed to navigate through the system are unintuitive - very small fields in which to enter patient data (med hx, fam hx, soc hx, etc.) - Program did not initially store any patient data that was entered - i.e., patient information such as medical hx, fam hx, etc., was not being saved. Our IT people - had to work with drchrono to set up a 'button' to turn on to save this information - unable to compare previous labs side by side with new results - Results do not automatically enter into a patient's chart; thus unable to communicate with patients directly from screen that has either lab or imaging results - have to enter into the patient chart to initiate communication, then return back to your message or task center to continue processing other results

Comments: Our biweekly billing calls have helped me and our company immensely. I feel much more confident about our billing with Dr Chrono double-checking things for me. In particular, the forms that they put together for us with the different categories really helps me visually understand where we are.

Pros: Customer service is EXTREMELY responsive and helpful! I always get an email or a call within one day of requesting help.

Cons: Some things are hard to find or titled something that doesn't make sense. Typically I'm able to figure it out after talking with a member of customer support though. Another thing I'm not a fan of is the patient list, which we have the ability to sort by patient appointment but not by provider. That doesn't make sense to me.

Easy to use on multiple devices.

Comments: I would recommend this to others.

Pros: What we like most about Drchrono in our practice is the way that we can use Drchrono on our desktop as well as our iPads when seeing our patients in the patients rooms or out of town. We also enjoy that our Dr. Chrono system links up to Quest diagnostics so we can order labs through our computer and get results sent to us quickly through our messaging system.

Cons: Customer service is a con not because it is bad but because it is based online you must send a ticket or wait to speak to someone on the phone. I do not know if there is an alternative to this though.

Very easy to use and love the dictation component on the iPad.

Pros: Easy to use on iPad and iPhone, love that fact that I can send a controlled Rx via eRx. Ordering controlled Rx pads are expensive.

Pros: Apple and mobile device compatibility is so nice. Just click on drop down arrows and select. I like that I can book patients and reschedule patients when I'm out of the office as I am a small practice and doing a lot of marketing.

Cons: Unable to have the software send emails from our domain name so some people never read the message from drchrono.com. Wish the same features for Apple were available in Microsoft.

Overall: time saving and ease of use are the best benefits. once I was up and running very little help is needed.

Comments: If I had to use it just from a clinical standpoint I would offer it in a heartbeat. It doesn't have a robust enough reporting feature to analyze performance from analytics standpoint.

Pros: From a clinical standpoint, Dr. Chrono is great. It is very customizable, easy to use, both with a computer or an iPad.

Cons: It is not possible to run billing analytics for multiple sites as desired. There is no live customer support- you can wait hours or months for a response to a problem.

Pros: It has fully customizable soap notes. The web-based system is awesome. The initial training and support is awesome.

Cons: Billing set up and support has been very frustrating so far; we've been using them for months and we still are not able to file most of our claims. Unable to really schedule patients effectively for rehab plans; you cannot even see quickly when the patient's next appointment is.

Comments: Overall big letdown. After a couple weeks I new we were not going to switch to drchrono EHR. I was assured they would not hold me to the contract if we did not like it and of course we are stuck paying a year of service we will never use.

Pros: Cloud based. TriZetto - that is probably the best thing we found from our thought of switching to this EHR

Cons: Notes customization limited from the EHR I was coming from. The trainer we had seemed to have no medical/chiropractic experience. We are a chiropractic and she definitely had no clue about notes for chiro office. When asked how to note outcome assessment - she asked what that meant and said she would get back to me. Her manager sent me a link to a 3rd party app to purchase.

Hello Dr. Peace, We would like to express our sincerest apologies for your experience during your implementation. We want you to know that we¿re actively improving our implementation workflows to be sure that communication is clear and we are able to address all concerns from our chiropractors. Upon investigation of our communication with you, it looks like a simple miscommunication of what information you were requesting in regards to outcome assessment, and our third party app recommendation was based off an understanding of outcome improvements. As for outcome assessment we have the ability to measure this in every appointment and automatically chart improvement over time. Our management has been attempting to reach you to resolve this confusion for the past couple weeks. Please look out for our emails as we continue to reach out, and don't hesitate to email us at accountmanager@drchrono.com as this will always be an avenue available to you.

Comments: The sales associate, Danny, was very informative and detailed about the software; what info on the system he provided has been accurate to date. Charla, our implementation manager, has been responsive and patient. Clearly her goal is to get DrChrono implemented effortlessly for us and in a timely fashion; we appreciate having that level of support.

Pros: * DrChrono is an Apple Enterprise partner * user friendly for patient and provider * comprehensive pricing, not ala carte' * real time EHR, cloud based

Cons: * as to be expected, creating customized templates is time-consuming, however the implementation process is itself is relative quick * IT support is available by email/chat submission. IT will call back quickly, which avoids being placed on hold for long period of time, however not having a "800" number to call takes some getting used to. I must admit though, the IT department is quick to respond once a request for help is submitted * the company is on west coast hours; our practice is east coast. Not so much a con, just a small inconvenience

It was easy to get up and running and add as we learned new features.

Comments: There's a lot about our office that is not typical, so we were not typical to get implemented at all! customer service was so accommodating and flexible every step of the way.

Pros: Web-based. Fantastic support. Ability to open multiple tabs. Glad that they changed some of the form-building items. The ability to add a "wide" field is great.

Cons: Limitations for some of the form-building. For example, there is no choice to select "him/her". There is a "his/her", but those are two different forms of speech.

Comments: I have used this platform for years in a small, low-volume one-practitioner office. It is one of the few platforms that I have used over 3 decades of practice that actually provides what it sets out to do.It's extreme versatility sometimes makes it seem overly complex, but customer service is ALWAYS there to help and with some exploration, experimentation, and guidance from customer service it is not difficult to make it do EXACTLY what you want it to do.

Pros: What I like most about this platform is its all encompassing nature that it provides and its extreme versatility. It keeps the schedule, documentation, case notes, images, does patient billing and even patient contacting and emailing. It is EXTREMELY versatile and useful.

Comments: I am migrating to Practice Fusion, as the implementation seems similar in most ways, and the cost of this system combined with the extreme difficulty (relatively) in retrieving information is slowing down my practice and therefore revenue. I don't recommend this other than its use as an expensive computer game.

Pros: Functions decently as a data entry EHR. I used this on a mac and iPad and I could document what I needed to after a lot of customization. Being html based, this is really portable and functions well on multiple devices fluidly.

Cons: Retrieving data is hard. For example, a patient calls, and the receptionist needs to look up the patient's history. This takes several types and clicks, and seems so buried into the system that it is an afterthought. When I think of a patient's history, I need it a click away. What I did to them and why they came to me needs to be immediately available. The slow-down due to drchrono is really significant, and led me to terminate my contract after one year of use, despite the pain in the @$$ of migrating systems. Navigating through a patient chart on the iPad is really hard. Navigating to the patient's history to retrieve past notes is even harder than on the computer. The inefficiency in this is really significant. The price is very high for what you get when compared to free options and even cheaper options.

Pros: The macros are easy to use and simple to customize. Very good for physicians that use Apple products and want to make the clinics they work in very streamlined. Also, patients love to be handed an Ipad instead of a clipboard for on-boarding.

Cons: Not for clinics that use Microsoft software. I would recommend only using Apple technology if you were going to implement Dr Chrono. It was designed to be used on Ipads and it would be very difficult if your entire office was Microsoft oriented and you bring in this new software.

Overall: Patients feel as if our office is up-to-date, using only the latest technology. Really good for developing high quality value in the patient, even before they are treated.

Comments: Customer service and implementation specialists are very helpful. Training is thorough and recorded for reference.

Pros: Templates are much easier and faster to build than in other EHRs. OnPatient and the completely automated kiosk make the check-in process completely paper- and scan-free. This has been great for a solo-practitioner.

Cons: Scheduler isn't great. It's nice that reminders are included, but the scheduler itself isn't as functional as other programs. Some features I am paying for (eRx and lab integration) continue to not work for me, which were key reasons why I paid more for my plan. Fax system is clunky and not very useful.

Pros: DrChrono EHR very easy to use and quick to implement. It comes with a ton of premade templates that you can use as is or modify to your needs.

Cons: The software is limited in certain functionality. We sell packages of care and I haven't found a good way to track where people are in the care plan. I'd also like an easy place to insert reminders for certain patients future visits.

Comments: This EMR is by far the best I have used and trialed. I went with Dr. Chrono because of the great user interface and ease of use. We are a walk-in urgent care clinic and dont bill insurance so we don't use the billing functions but it does everything we need it to. The lab and eRX integration is amazing and saves a lot of time for my staff! Very highly recommend!

Pros: Awesome user interface, works with iPad & iPhone, very simple to train my staff to use! The lab (Quest) Integration works really well.

Cons: Not built for walk-in clinics. must have an appointment first in order to use iPad Kiosk which does add a step but overall not too many cons.

Pros: There are several levels of pricing/functionality to choose from, so one might be a great fit for your organization. The interface is nice and easy to use with minimal learning curve.

Comments: Overall, I'm very happy with the system. None of the chiropractic EHR is perfect. I've used 3 other companies and countless of demos over the last 10 years, but DrChrono is by far the best EHR of all. I also like that it is constantly updating the system.

Pros: The software allow you to create templates however you like. You can share your templates among other DrChrono users or download their templates. Clearinghouse is very easy to use with great user interface. Patient scheduling is super easy. The live eligibility check system is great. Patients like on-line scheduling.

Cons: I occasionally experience software glitches, but the software techs quickly respond to our call and fix within few hours or days. Monthly price is higher than other competitors, but you are paying for the better quality of the system and services you'll receive. You also have to sign a year contract.

Pros: Tons of different options and features. Notes are completely customizable. Customer support is great. Being able to access my notes from anywhere there is internet access is awesome. The Ipad apps for Dr Chrono seem to work pretty well.

Cons: The note builder system is too cumbersome to use efficiently. I spent hours tweaking my notes to get them just the way I wanted, so although I ended up getting what i wanted, it took far too long to realize my ideal notes and procedures in my office. The system is not well set up for Chiropractic offices, but rather more of a traditional medical office which may have been why there was so much effort needed to get things set up. I had to create several work-arounds to make the system work for an office that sees patients more often and for different reasons than a medical office. The integrated point of sale system is not competitively priced and not very conducive to multiple visit care plans, so I had to outsource that portion of my business with a company called Fortis.

Comments: I like it, it's easy and no complaints really except mentioned above. I feel customer service is there for issues, our IT manager is amazing and patient and believes in your EHR software. I'm inclined to agree.

Pros: I love the bulk appointment feature. Love that it auto saves in case you have to leave something undone, it is still there. Like the compatibility it has with iPad.

Cons: I hate that the screen jumps back and forth from exam rooms. That doesn't happen though if you choose the "daily" button.

Pros: I have worked with several systems in the past and have had pros and cons with each. I do like that this system is web based.

Cons: Not able to save a HCFA form directly to a patients chart without having to download it and add it manually. I really have no complaints about this EHR.

Comments: I'd like to see more reports that shows clients drug preference and other features. Dr Chrono form details the clients medical information. We need more options to build reports.

Pros: It's easy to export reports into Excel. The software has lots of potential to meet our needs at our clinic, however, those features have not been built into Dr Chrono.

Cons: It should be a lot easier to export reports which details more client attributes, such as clients drugs of choice, diagnosis codes.

Comments: I am switching to eClinicalWorks because this software cost me a lot of money, headache, frustration, and time. I do not recommend it for groups with more than 5 PCPs.

Pros: It¿s looks pretty, has pretty coloring, iPad application not too bad. Cheap. Meaning you get what you pay for.

Cons: Where do I start¿ first of all, this is the WORST software I¿ve EVER used. 1) Two people cannot be in the same account. And if you are, ALL of your notes disappear into thin air. 2) The speech to text feature is useless 3) The reporting function is inoperable. It crashes if the report is too big. And you cannot customize it to your liking and you have to wait for it to be in the message center. 4) Their online support is A JOKE. They cannot help you 50% of the time from the start. 5) The whole platform constantly crashes without any warning and they leave you stranded without prior notice 6) They need to market to small PCP groups only, this software is not made for other specialties 7) Their onboarding training is a waste of time. Their trainers have no clue what the provider does on daily basis. 8) They only do API interphasing and they don¿t do it themselves. You have to go through a 3rd party and pay tons of money for it. 9) Their template construction is too cumbersome. It actually takes you less time to free type rather than follow their note template 10) Everything is done based on appointments. So, you need to document outside of that, you cannot.

Pros: This EHR system is really easy to use. There are many customizable features within the templates that allow you to tailor it to your specific practice needs.

Cons: The reports feature should allow more customizable filters when generating reports. The amount of tabs open is sometimes excessive because each click opens the page in a new tab. There is no notification when more than one person is editing the same clinical note at the same time.

Comments: These guys are a world class team. You'd think I was related to them or something the way this review reads. However, I am not. I run a medical practice and it's challenging to find people who will bend over backward for you and give good and reliable info. This team does it reliably and it doesn't matter who I am talking to, the answers I get are consistent and helpful.

Pros: I like that we can make it do anything in any way. Having an open API that gives us the ability to find apps to integrate or build what we need gives us everything possible. Combine that with a really responsive team and a sales crew that really worked with us and I'm not sure I could have asked for much more.

Cons: Some of the native fields are not quite customizable. However, being able to have access to the data to pull it to other places makes it not really matter all that much.

Comments: I feel the program would be much better in time, it just needs improvements all around that hopefully will eventually be implemented.

Pros: The program is slightly better than our previous program in that it does not freeze ALL of the time.

Cons: There are times it does not load quickly. Too many screens open at one time. If someone else is in a chart at the same time it does not update what you are updating and will delete the information. The schedule template can be confusing. The city and zip codes for addresses do not match up. A swiper for the credit cards would be more helpful.

Comments: awesome EMR that is continually improving. Wish they had more native English speakers on their support staff.

Pros: Great overall value. Sky is the limit in terms of customizing your workflow and experience. Great implementation. Love the UI and easy to use iPad app. Hands down the best EMR.

Cons: There are a few simple things they should be able to fix: i.e. Allow customization with the online scheduler, overall the payment experience (for copays and in office payments). Some stuff seems half baked but can easily be fixed. Problems with all EMRs is that you have smart engineers that work on the product that have never actually stepped foot in a doctors office.

Comments: Fancy on the surface, but a hellish ordeal once you actually start using it. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Pros: The sales team is great. They make a lot of promises. The practice management side - scheduling in particular - is well thought out. Reports are customizable, lots of options here.

Cons: During your sales call, FORCE them to demonstrate what you're looking for. We received numerous, "and then you'd just click this and it would work." "You'd just click this item (in a template) and it would do this fancy thing." Unfortunately, the thousands of promised templates do not exist. Template tools are very, very weak. Calculations (if statements) are not possible. Implementation was nightmarish. They have literally (I asked) no written plan for implementation, which drags the implementation out interminably - making it very costly. Tech support is outsourced to a foreign country. "I'm unable to log in to my account from any computer from any browser," was my issue. "Have you tried clearing the browser cache?" was the response.

Comments: We are a large office with a large amount of questionnaires and forms and work flow processes to upload into drchrono. We ended up needing at least 6 weeks to implement, and that was with a physician working on the system part-time (and seeing patients the other half of the time) and three managers working on it when available.

Pros: EXTREMELY customizable and the easiest EMR to use for the front office staff when it comes to scheduling, taking payments, and making new patient charts. We have heard from others that if you are transitioning from paper to EMR, this was the one to choose. We could see that even before the advice was given. Every step is very intuitive and the programmers and designers made every task only about 2-3 clicks away. EASY AND FAST chart noting

Cons: Our office has special needs which Drchrono can allow for better than any other EHR, but we sill require further specifications. We are a cash only practice, but it would be nice to have the option, help, or guidance towards what level exam was performed.
