Pros: Workamajig helps our brand management agency track all necessary project information in one central location. Everything can be documented, from tasks to meetings, time entry, creative briefs, project proofs, PO's and invoicing. It is fairly easy to use. Also it is great for looking up projects from the past and creating new dockets based on the structure of past projects.

Because Workamajig is web-based it provides a very user-friendly interface for team members no matter where they are located.

Project home pages can be customized by each user, so they can show or hide a dashboard that features what is most important to them based on their role or how they work. Access rights and privileges are easy to assign as well.

Cons: It can take a while for new users to get used to where everything is accessed as far as entry points for critical information or reports that you can pull. The user interface can be a bit confusing for project income forecasting - for example having to open more than one area of the project to enter Accounting information and billing dates, as well as checking off - "Include in Forecast" at the estimate stage. There are also many ways to achieve the same goal but it can be more confusing than helpful for some - I think there could be some simplification of steps needed for setting up things like project sales forecasts.

Overall: Overall I really like this software and would highly recommend it to any small to mid-sized agency that needs help to organize their project flow, tracking, client and vendor communications/task tracking/follow up and A/R or A/P.

A valuable tool that helps keep track of project schedules and milestones geared to creatives.

Pros: No longer in flash, it is an elegant design that is easy to read. The customer support is good. They work with you and often bugs are fixed. Projects are clearly sorted by deadline.

Cons: It's great for simple deadlines, but It doesn't have any tools to sort out congested schedules. e.g. what software can stop someone from being booked 84 hours in a single work day.

It's very manual. updating projects can be time consuming and human error with the interface has lead to scheduling errors. It's not very compatible with other common office programs (e.g. can't get it to sync for meetings in outlook and we don't want to use jig for all our meetings). This means we only use a small portion of the software relating to project schedules and budget.

Hard to establish priorities.

Some information is hard to find with their interface. (e.g. several clicks to find the task number required to enter your time if you are entering a task that you weren't assigned)

Overall: an overview of projects and their due dates organized by tasks.

Pros: When setup properly on the front end it can do a great job exporting status reports for our team, which is a task that would mean someone manually updating a spreadsheet if we didn't have workamajig.

Cons: It's project management input functions (diaries) are too linear. Wkmjg works great for simple jobs like print ads and radio scripts but when it comes to projects with a lot of parrallel tasks, moving at the same time, it doesn't compare to products like Basecamp. For instance, I could never use wkmjg to build a website (or any complex digital pieces) where I need to set deadlines for multiple disciplines and keep their resources and conversation separate from one another. For example, my designer shouldn't have to wade through a ton of diary posts between the QA team to find my last post to him. I also think the accounting side of wkmjg is something that was designed a long time ago and has just been gradually tacked on and added to and it's in need of a audit and complete redesign to make it more user firendly for both agency accountants and the project managers reviewing billing worksheets on the other end.

Pros: Budget tracking. Time management. That it can serve as a single source for the entire length of a project, making it easy to track progress over time and locating assets from as far back as the beginning.

Cons: The clunky interface. The difficulty of navigation. That anyone can look at any diary post, regardless of whether they are on the job or not. That you can't download all attachments at once. That it still runs in Flash despite Flash being the industry standard from 10 years ago.

Overall: I try to use it as little as possible. From an interface that makes me pray that future generations never see it, for fear of embarrassment, to a completely average list of features, most of which are completely useless to me, I find workamajig is best and perhaps only suited as a time entry and billing platform. Strip it of all the bloated nonsense and I think you have a much better product.

Pros: I love Workamajig's User Interface. After using various Project Management softwares in my day, Workamajig Platinum User Interface is easy to navigate and has an extremely successful adaptation for users. I also love the ability to customize workflows, add in additional deliverables based on the approval cycle, and communicate with other team members within the system.

Cons: While building out the workflows within Workamajig we had quite a few 'workamarounds' that we had to come up with in order for the system to meet our needs. An example is: I wanted an email to fire when a task was assigned, which was possible on all tasks, but the first one. One of our workamarounds for that was to have the first task be assigned to the PM and was titled "Close this Task" so that the next task would fire an email to the appropriate team member. That's just an example of some of the workamarounds we had to come up with. The Deliverables were also very difficult for us to monitor the status of.

Overall: Workamajig is a fantastic solution for a Marketing Project Management tool. It allows the Project Manager and subsequent teams to manage projects with ease while also interacting with billing, time tracking, and overall profitability analysis.

Pros: One of the few solutions that connects time tracking, project management, fairly sophisticated accounting and billing, media contracts, utilization reporting, and more.

Cons: Its not intuitive. The products ease-of-use has improved with the latest version, Platinum, but its still not as intuitive as most main stream software. Users/managers of the product need some pretty specific knowledge of the software to get the most out of it.

Overall: We used two separate systems for accounting and project workflow, this was one of the few that pulled them together in a more native manner. If you want workflow software, there are many out there that are FAR better than this solution, and the same can be said for accounting software. But until Quickbooks-like solution or Basecamp-like products natively integrate, this is probably the next best thing.

Pros: Timesheet capabilities. I don't use it for much else at this point, I use Outlook Tasks to keep track of what you call "my activities".

Cons: No integration with Outlook or Google Calendar. The search function doesn't seem fully developed, doens't always populate the things we are looking for. Requires a lot of refreshing. No mobile app. There is not a great personal task option, not everything I need to complete needs to be on an activity.

Overall: This is the third agency I've used Jig at. Every place has it set up different but the pain points I mentioned above are consistent at each place. I haven't seen the platform evolve much over time, I can't believe there isn't a calendar integration yet or a mobile app.

Pros: Project management software tool specific to the advertising agency structure and workflow. Integration of all the necessary parts from beginning (new client, new project) to end (billing).

Monthly updates. They listen to users' feedback and make updates in response.

Cons: Initial setup took a full year. It was a big process and should have been accomplished quicker. Availability of trainers and time allowed were limited. There is some limitation to customization but it seems to be improving.

Pros: Workamajig is easy to set up, easy to use, and easy to train new employees. You can jump in using everything or ease in using different applications. The training staff is great at answering questions, and they are very helpful in getting set up, and walking you through various changes as your business changes and grows.

Cons: We chose to use our own server, instead of being on the Workamajig server. I would recommend that you be on the Workamajig server, as they make certain that updates are completed in a timely manner, and in the long run will make your life easier. This is not really something that I dislike about the software, but a recommendation that I would make to someone thinking about purchasing.

Overall: Overall, my experience with Workamajig has been great. If there is something that I feel would make my life easier, they send it to the engineers who review, and add to the next update. If I have special reports that I need, but cannot figure out on my own, they create them for me. They have helped walk me step by step through the process from day one, and have made many updates and improvements to the software along the way that has been beneficial.

Pros: As a millennial with pretty decent technology navigation skills / understanding how to quickly and efficiently learn program to my needs, Workamajig is pretty user friendly. I am aware there are lots of paths of the program that I don't use, but those that I do are relatively easy to maneuver.

Cons: I don't think older generations have an easy time learning the program, then causing understanding problems within our company. Unless they are tech geniuses basically, I don't think this is a program that could just be inserted into a company without having knowledge/understanding gaps.

Pros: There are many different features and uses for workamajig.

Cons: Theres so much you can do with the tool it almost becomes overwhelming. I would suggest making the interface a little more user friendly and finding a way to better divide and display each of the features available to users.

Overall: Overall the program functions well and haven't had much difficulty navigating the main interfaces. Once getting more in-depth with the program it begins to become complex and overwhelming.

Pros: We have been on WMJ for about five years now and are in the process of moving from the legacy product to Platinum as well. We are also moving our accounting over to the platform beginning Jan 1st. Hoping Platinum makes the product better value for us then it has been.

Cons: Onboarding was extremely difficult and we never really got it set up the way it should be. We are doing a reboot with the move to Platinum.

Pros: The ability to integrate our CRM, time tracking, project management, and accounting to leverage the ability to look at our leading and lagging KPIs to be profitable.

Cons: The variety of offering the software can do is massive. Deciding in our office whats a priority to run as efficiently as possible can be challenging. For example, there is WIP in the software but because of our size its the right fit for us.

Overall: From dealing with customer service to upgrades to the software over the years the overall experience has been exceptional. I work on the Finance side but whats wonderful that it doesn't matter which piece of the software you go in to, the layout and functionalities throughout are consistent. In a small office under 20 sometimes people only touch parts of the software or their roles cross, the customization that WMJ offers to be able to handle the crossover in security and viewing ability makes this feasible.

Being able to leverage the ability to look at financials by client/campaign/project and then report on efficiency and profitability is important to our management team.

Pros: What I like most about this software is the ease of use for the admin functionality. When the business comes for updates, its easy to come up with a solve and address their business needs.

We have expanded Workamajig use in so many facets of the business. Due to this and the automation that can be set up with other applications we are taking efficiency to the next level.

Cons: Teaching the business was a little bit of a struggle since there are so many ways to get to what they are looking for. Although listing this as a con, it can be taken as a positive also. People think and operate in different ways! URL's can also be supplied and set as a bookmark to help users out.

Overall: I can't get into specifics on how our company uses Workamajig due to confidentiality reasons, but I will say the Workamajig team whether it is the leadership, support or engineering team is definitely a Class A organization. They put forth the time and effort to support their customers which is priceless in todays environment!

Pros: We previously had separate systems for project management, timers for time sheets, time sheet entry, and tracking sales and prospects. With Workamajig it lets us do everything in one place. No more having 4 or 5 different websites or applications open at once.

Cons: The flash version constantly freezes for me. This generally wouldn't be a problem as they're moving away from the flash version anyways, but there are issues with the new Platinum version. Meetings are moving around or disappearing without a user making those decisions. When stopping a timer it will occasionally record that you've been working for negative time or just 0 out.

Pros: WMJ provides a solid platform for each sector of the creative business. It's relatively easy to track time, create budgets & schedules, and monitor projects overall. The interface is clean and appealing, especially in the Platinum update.

Cons: The flash version is archaic and extremely buggy. The updated version can be glitchy and doesn't automatically update to the current day. When entering tasks or time, it often has glitches and errors, or adds to the wrong fields.

Overall: Overall, the product is an extremely effective tool for workflow and data logging, if only some of the bugs could get ironed out.

Pros: I like that you can create a bunch of different job needs (estimates, time sheets, etc) all in one system.

Cons: I struggle with the new format because i have to go into a bunch of windows to get one piece of info and then exit and then go back through the process when i have to update something again. I spend more time going through the windows than working on the job.

The calendar job start and end dates are absolutely infuriating. Every time i change one date, others change. it will even change the logic option (must start on, must end on) on me, which doesn't make sense. Our projects are so different, i just want to be able to put whatever dates I want without the system trying to correct me.

Pros: I like the software because of it's functionality and how many different ways there are to measure your productivity. I think it is complementary to many different roles within a company from accounting to project management to traffic monitoring, benefitting all of them equally.

Cons: Although I like that WMJ continues to update and make the software more useful, I find that sometimes it's not very intuitive, especially while trying to train other team members on the many steps.

Overall: I really do like WMJ, it's been my favorite software I've used this far.

Pros: Once you get up to speed, Workamajig is fairly intuitive. It's also nice that the jobs, time reporting, and billing are all integrated in the one tool.

Cons: The most frustrating part about Workamajig is its flash-based nature. The new Platinum solution is missing some critical features for our agency, so I'm not sure if this is a solution for us moving forward.

Pros: I like that it let's you integrate all aspects of the business. From finance to scheduling. It has lots of capabilities in one package.

Pros: It's easy to navigate and find what you're looking for.

Cons: It's unfortunate that you've decided to stop updating Classic Workamajig. Platinum has some great features, but because it's a responsive site (as it changes size), it's difficult for me to work with on my computer. I can't have two windows open side by side, Workamajig Platinum and another window (which I'm using to enter information from into Workamajig). If I have them side by side, I can't see the information needed in Jig, and Jig continually tries to resize itself and resubmit information via reloading the page when the window is resized. I never had this problem in Classic. Please fix this!

Overall: As a project manager it's been very useful in keeping project information all in one place. I've worked at another ad agency who didn't chose to have Workamajig help custom tailor the system to them and it failed miserably. That's not the case here and it works well.

Pros: Very intuitive UI. Has a lot of features beyond budget tracking and project management. I feel like I am just scraping the surface of all the capabilities.

Cons: Still not very mobile friendly. A little clunky on Chrome with some to the drop downs.

Overall: It's made it a lot easier for me to track my teams status as it relates to budgets. Trying to get people to a place where they are fully aware of the time they have invested and what they have left. Using platinum and a project management tool has been rewarding. We are starting to use it more to track content and progression of jobs. I hope that it replaces trello so we are more integrated between departments.

Pros: This software has the ability to cover several aspects of the business, from finance and sales to project management and time tracking. Pros: The new platinum version is a better UX than the old Flash app. After you know how to use it, it's minimally functional for what it does.

Cons: The core app is built in Flash, and doesn't work well at all. Also, the app doesn't export any data easily in any way whatsoever, and it's nearly impossible to get a hold of your data in a useable way.

Overall: I already know how to use it, and it's minimally ok for time and expense tracking.

Pros: Timesheet organization, budgeting and reporting are all things I need to be aware of in live time to have my team do their jobs the best to their ability. Workamajig allows us to pull these reports in nearly real time so we can adjust projects, create efficiencies and course correct as needed.

Cons: Resource Management is key for our agency, and the system makes resource management a big job to keep up with. To keep resourcing updated, there is lot of maintenance required in the system. So much so, that we may default to google docs or another system entirely.

Pros: It allows me to track my time, as required by my company.

Cons: The overall UI seems clunky and difficult to navigate. As a disclaimer, I use platinum which I know is still beta. The endless amount of sidebar pull-out drawers is a confusing and difficult way to structure this type of software. It's very easy to lose your place. I'm a fairly minimal user of Workamajig at this point, my main uses are tracking time in my time sheet, marking tasks complete, and reviewing the schedule to see who should receive the ticket next.

All of the functions you mentioned can be done straight from the Task Card from the Today-Creatives screen. You can enter time, mark task as completed, and by using the Folder icon you can quickly navigate to the Schedule of the related project.

They can also switch to the task grid view to expand the row to enter time/mark as completed without opening up side panels.

Pros: You can easily view other calendars to schedule a meeting. Meeting times can be easily broken down. I've always been an Outlook calendar user, but we use WMJ for meetings and manage time billed to a client project.

Cons: Printing others calendars is probably my biggest gripe with WMJ. When I print out other peoples calendars it prints my name on the bottom of the page. It should read like "Jane Doe 00/00/00 - Printed By XXXXXX".

Pros: - Interface looks great

- Lots of fantastic features from project management to timesheets to tracking budgets

Cons: - Diary posts don't print consistent formatting

- Some features lost from the previous version

- Timesheets can get glitchy when adjusting and deleting hours as you go throughout the day

Overall: -I was trained on Workamajig Platinum and original at the same time as the office was transitioning from the old version when I was onboarding. In the end, the functionality of the original version made it necessary to stick to the old one to get work done though I prefer the look and feel of Platinum.

- Please make Platinum able to print diaries without losing formatting -- our office needs hard copies

- Also please add the missing "Track Budgets" selection on "Schedule" in Platinum which is needed to do timesheets and estimates. Previous version had to customize to add the column of check boxes, but not sure where this is in Platinum.

- One more request for copying templates from another project --- would be great to have the ability to copy over without copying the people who were previously assigned to that project.

Pros: I like that how all the functions thread together. Platinum has a better interface than the old version that some people in our office uses. Once you have a handle on the software you can unlock a lot of it's potential.

Cons: It can be complicated sometimes. It is not as intuitive as I would like, so I need to ask a more seasoned user how to execute PO search functions, etc., and even then it can be trial and error.

Overall: Workamajig makes it easy to track your project. It seems to track everything from start to delivery. But I feel that our organization isn't using it to it's full potential. For instance, I don't use it to estimate projects. We use excel for that. it seems like I should be using it from start to finish and not just to enter my time and write PO's. I wish we knew it completely, we could really tap into it's power. I would love it if it was as intuitutive as an Apple product.

Pros: This product is up and coming. It has a lot of great features but not everything but their developers are currently developing more and more each day. If you are a customer you can put in requests for how you want things to work and they submit them as tickets to their developers to consider.

The software has a lot of features already that you can use and are adding more each release (about once a month).

The customer service is great and the software is very very reasonably priced.

Cons: The current system requires manual work on our part in some cases to accomplish things that used to be automated in the system we used to use. The manual work is time consuming for us.

Since the developers are currently working on the product the system does have some bugs and we discover them occasionally and have to work around them until Workamajig can fix them.

Cons: Sometimes not responsive to action/inquiry requests. Will have to request multiple times to get the action/request/inquiry handled. I don't know if that is because of it being an internet-based platform or not.

Overall: Most of the functions in Workamajig are fairly intuitive. Some of the updates improve one thing and reduce the functionality of another. This is my first experience with an internet-based platform system. Sometimes I have to repeat actions several times to get it to work. Is this due to an internet platform? Overall Workamajig is a good product.

Pros: The software is relatively easy to pick up on. In our agency we use it to organize our projects and move them through our creative department and it has been an excellent way to keep all of the information organized and accessible.

Pros: I like that it's a full solution from sales, project management, and accounting.

Cons: It's not very intuitive. I've used the program for a lot of years and the one thing I hear all the time is how it's not easy to get around. I also like to see a way to upload an HR file within the employee and a better way to track vacation. I feel this is really missing in the program.

Pros: I like the weekly view when doing timesheets.

Cons: I feel as if it's difficult to understand the depth of all of the features of Workamajig.

I also have issues looking up jobs, some times I need to refresh or log out and log back in.

Overall: I use Workamajig every day and I find it pretty easy, but still a little hard to understand how to completely use all functionality.

Pros: Depending on the update, the project setup and schedule were very easy to use.

Cons: The user experience is very click heavy. The overall interface is very hard to use and train. I've found most agencies that use only a handful of features. We tried using the project management and resource management features, but the amount of clicks it takes to see people's availability is very time consuming. Ideally, should be able to see availability and resource straight from the project interface.

Pros: I like the fact that I can look into a specific job and see what our budget was for that job number, if we went over, and what the actual hours were spent designing. This helps me better accurately give estimates for future similar jobs.

Cons: I wish I could download or preview all attachments at once instead of having to download multiple attachments one at a time.

Pros: I liked its de-cluttered interface. I also liked the ability to customize tiles. This is also somewhat odd, but I really really liked the logo. I smiled every time I saw it.

Cons: It was slow to load, attaching files doesn't work all of the time, and sometimes it would be glitchy. For example, every time I logged in, there'd be about a 10-second frozen pause on one of the windows.

Overall: I really didn't get many benefits from the software that were particularly special to me.

Cons: The UI/UX is pretty bad overall. For as much as we pay, it's not user friendly at all. We seem to have more problems with it than it's worth. You had a chance to re-invent yourself with platinum and you fell flat.

Pros: I use Workamajig for general project management, billing clients, tracking projects and time tracking on individual projects. The system works great for time tracking and the billing. And the reports are very extensive. I feel it offers everything you could need to manage a business both financially and on the management side.

Cons: The one downside to the software is that it has too data. Reports can somewhat be cumbersome to organize, as you need an administrator to add certain fields to reports. That seems to be a concern with our business, there's so much information that it collects that sometimes there seems to be too much and it becomes overwhelming.

Pros: Search bar feature-- I love that you can search for any vendor, vendor number, project number at the top of the screen quickly and easily.

Cons: Some of the reports are not as easily customizable as others. They ARE customizable in the new mainframe, Platinum, but we still use the Classic version. Eventually we will have to learn the new software and switch over. It could pose challenges, as they will no longer update the Classic version once Platinum is fully functioning.

Overall: Our experience with WMJ has been mostly positive. It is always a transition to move over to a new agency and accounting software. They were very helpful during the transition with a lot of training and reaching out from our contact at WMJ.

Cons: There were so many features and sections of the program that training/setup lasted weeks and then we still didn't know how to use it efficiently.

Overall: Lots of training for little reward. We ended up cutting it about 6 months in.

Pros: Workamajig is a fully integrated agency management, which means that you can see a direct connection between projects, resources, time, money and profit.

Cons: The CRM/sales component and the vendor management components of the software are its least powerful options. Also, the fact that data are kept in silos means we can't find correlations as deeply as we wanted, but this is mitigated by the fact that there are plenty of excellent and powerful reports and reporting options.

Overall: We have used Workamajig for over a decade. We first used it for its time management and project management functions, but then we transferred our accounting onto Workamajig and now have a complete dashboard for our business.

Pros: From my experience, everything is self-contained, meaning you aren't forced to use other programs in conjunction with Workamajig.

Cons: The interface could be more intuitive. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve when getting started or for things you don't need to do very often.

Overall: I've used Workamajig for about 4.5 years. It takes some getting used to, but once you've figured it out it's a very powerful tool. It's imperative that your team agree on how to use it. Pretty much anything you need relative to Workamajig's purpose can be done within the program. However, if some people use other programs (email, for example) instead of leaving notes and to-dos in Workamajig, you can run into inefficiencies.

Pros: The recent upgrade to Workamajig Platinum has shown a lot of improvements. The features are more user friendly. We use it to manage our projects with the design/creative team. So this is a way for the design team to track their workload and the marketing consultants can submit their projects and get schedules set-up. Also nice to track exactly when and what messages have been communicated about a project, it's nice to have a reference point in case a deadline gets missed. Our admin on the tool was very happy with the customer service and they even made some specific improvements based on our requests.

Cons: User interface still feels a little clunky, it's not as streamlined and intuitive as it could be. Not a lot of automation, you have to take a lot of time to set every project up correctly and move it through the process. The app its self is also very slow.

Overall: Tracked communication and set schedules when working with design team. Easy to see where your projects are at in the process.

Pros: I like how it has different levels for Users, Teams, Customers and such. I also like the campaign functionality above jobs.

Cons: Assignments and waterfalling can be difficult. Also, work buckets get confusing and our traffic manager had a steep learning curve for this product. And Platinum has been out for years, what are they waiting for?

Pros: The Flash version looked like Excel and the HTML 5 version was clean in appearance. They threw a great party at their user conference.

Cons: The constant click thru needed to reach a site, the lack of email contact, tech support only through email (unless willing to pay more) which caused a back and forth situation, building of forms was tedious (Flash-based), reports were difficult to construct, lack of storage space caused addtional unexpected expenses of approx. $300/mo.

Pros: I like being able to track projects within the software and the diary/conversation portion of the project to see where things were left if a project becomes stagnant.

Cons: The software is not user friendly ... especially the Platinum version. It makes it too confusing and Platinum can't do everything Classic can. I feel Workamajig makes tracking harder than what it should be.

Overall: You need to make sure you have a trainer who understands the software. We have not in the past and it's incredibly frustrating to have a training session with someone who is guessing their way around the software ... again, this shows how the program is NOT user friendly.

Pros: Love the seamless integration between estimating and invoicing. Scheduling works well, and has the added benefit of several print views. Conversations has been a great way to keep all project details and updates in one location.

Cons: Some databases are still a bit tricky to access- searching for closed projects can be time consuming.

Overall: Workamajig has been great to work with! We been a user since Creative Manager, through "classic", and are now fully integrated into Platinum (in fact we were in Beta for most of the development of Platinum). Pros: I like the billing system the best but all features are great especially when you see it as an overall inclusive system.

The new dashboards are awesome. always looking for more ways for all employees to see and take ownership.

Love the new V card area. works awesome.

Pros: This software was easy to use, easy to adjust, and easy to teach people how to use it (provided you put in the time of course). It was customizable to our specific project workflow needs and would connect with accounting to account for billable hours.

Cons: There were a few features we would have liked to have for our project management processes that this software didn't have, although many companies would likely not need these features. One of them was being able to automatically assign teams to a specific project so we knew who would be working on those tasks; this step is manually with Workamajig.

Cons: Not easy to find functions. When a new update is applied, is glitchy. Hard to find stuff.

Overall: I use the program everyday to enter my time, is easy as long as I know the project number exactly; as soon as I miss a dash or extra space or in any way different from the set name, it takes for ever to find the info. It will be nice that I can add time in the same project line but at different times without opening a new line.

The timer works good but once the window is open you can not get it to disappear, even when you stop it. So I don't use it. For my needs is good.

Pros: I like the idea of the tool being one stop shop for an agency, but in reality is so difficult to use and cumbersome that I would rather use several unrelated systems...

Cons: It is incredibly cumbersome and difficult to use, I wonder if Workamajic has done any user testing before putting out their new version, it's visually more appealing than the old one but doesn't follow a consistent logic and has too many steps.

Overall: Not good, I need to start evaluating other solutions as I am not happy with this one. The amount of time that our account managers waste with this tool is very unproductive....

Pros: It didn't take too long to get the hang of using it. I really like the interface of Platinum.

Pros: Workamajig provides & consistent approach to work flow. It records conversations & history allowing users to review a project in entirety. Like any software the system is only as valuable as the data that is input so proper training, consistency of use is key.

Cons: There are lots of ways to accomplish the same task, which can make sharing learnings challenging. In some areas the interface is clunky with lots of fly in tabs.

Overall: We are better with it than without it!

Pros: How integrated it is for timekeeping, accounting and media.

Cons: Because it's so customizable, it can be very overwhelming and confusing to know how best to set it up to utilize features for your business. I would recommend utilizing a Workamajig consultant to get everything set up for best practices.

Project scheduling and management features are clunky to use, and require ongoing attention and updates to keep things current.

Overall: Workamajig is an integrated tool that's useful for agency management. It's helped consolidate the programs and software needed to run the business.

Pros: The media module is very user-friendly. It doesn't require much instruction, and it is easy to learn your way around with some basic introduction.

Cons: Great for ordering print and outdoor. A little bit wonky with digital, but it works. Pretty much useless for broadcast, but then again, it's not meant to be a broadcast buying platform.

Overall: I do freelance media work, and two of my agency clients use Jig, and we have found it to be very satisfactory. Personally, I like the fact that many agencies use it, because my knowledge of the platform makes it easy to work with many of these agencies.

Pros: The color scheme is OK. It loads pretty quickly as well.

Cons: The calendar system. Absolute worst. It causes me headaches daily. I wish our company went 100% to another platform for calendaring, one that EVERY OTHER CLIENT IN THE WORLD uses so that my meetings and their meetings could talk to one another. This WMJ system has probably cost me at least a half hour of lost productivity every two days.

Overall: It feels like an early 2000s relic that is trying to look cool in a modern era.

Pros: The accountants and project managers really like how deep this software is for them in the back office.

Cons: Everything about the software on the production side is convoluted and confusing. I post a comment on a task I'm given and the project manager can't find it and never sees it. You upload a file to task or a project and it's very difficult to find later. Project managers assign me tasks and often they either don't show up on my time sheet or my task board. The task board is not very well optimized for agile development in scrum or kanban styles.

Overall: The developers have mostly given up on trying to use Workamajig for individual task management and have switched to using GitKraken's Glo Boards which tie in nicely with GitHub.

Pros: Software is comprehensive. It's all there. Once you know how to find everything, at least.

Cons: Software feels pretty antiquated, like something out of the 90s. Easy of use isn't there -- and Platinum, which was meant to address this is just a lot less straight-forward than original (plus seems to not have all the same features).

Overall: It can be a daunting platform, so not everyone learns to use it -- company-wide adoption is a problem. We used Wrike at one point for PM, and they had a huge customer success program... would be interesting to WMJ do more of that.

Pros: The scheduling and the staff task calendar are invaluable to the agency. We work on various teams and various projects, and can see how much work each person has scheduled at any given time. Also love using for client estimates and POs.

Cons: At times it can be a little tricky to navigate around. We are migrating to the platinum and that seems to help. Not too much that we dont utilize or like with the product.

Overall: Keeps our agency on track with the multiple projects we have at any given time.

Pros: Everything you need to run your creative agency is in ONE software w/ great scheduling, resource managing and detailed reporting.

Cons: Still a few (minor) bugs here and there as "Platinum" is a new version that does not need flash to work. Having said that, any bug that has been reported has been fixed by the amazing team @ Workamajig!

Overall: The agency went from writing daily tasks on a whiteboard 4 years ago and is now organized and running as a "well oiled machine" with Workamajig. We keep finding new ways to use Workamajig to it's full potential.

Pros: It is easy to navigate. The project management piece is excellent if utilized to its full potential. The ability to customize your color scheme is also pretty nice.

Cons: Many basic accounting functions are not automatic, including WIP, AR, and Forecasting. Also, the budgeting screen within a project is not very clear. There is no HR piece, requiring us to have an additional software, which of course costs us additional money.

Pros: The ease of using it. It's simple to learn and makes what would be a very hectic workplace , work smoothly.

Cons: The amount of steps when assigning a task was greatly improved when WMJ platinum came out. I think uploading files and where the files are stored could be improved. At an advertising agency there are 100's of files uploaded a day and they can be difficult to find and keep track of.

Pros: Workamajig is a great way to keep time and make notes accordingly. A variety of tools and ways to document and keep track of what you are doing every day, whatever the project.

Cons: Sometimes writing up a PO, all the information does not come through when saved or printed out.

Overall: My overall experience has been good. It's the timekeeping system my company uses and I came into without too much direction on how to use it, etc. Probably the most difficult thing initially was that only a portion of employees were using the latest update (premium) and the rest of the staff were using a legacy version. In particular, what was once called "diary" is now called "conversations." We still to this day use "diary" as the name of it, where we find discussions and files about specific jobs. In the beginning for me, I thought I was missing something with the site or wasn't granted access yet. Obviously, I realized early on the problem and have been good ever since.

Pros: Once the user becomes familiar with the software, Workamajig is fairly easy to use. Workflow and project management setup and options lack many bells and whistles, but overall the software is sufficient in meeting our departmental needs.

Cons: Workamajig isn't very intuitive or user friendly when you're first diving into the software. The user interface is a bit cumbersome, and the overall experience looks and feels a bit clunky and dated.

Overall: While using Workamajig, it did successfully fulfill our basic needs from project management software. But we've recently switched over to Workfront, and realize even more now that Workamajig needs to step up its game to continue competing in this market.

Cons: The workflow/project schedule tool

Overall: I've utilized many project management systems throughout my career and I really enjoy Workamajig. Although there is a bit of a learning curve, the internal training really helped. I find that it is now quite a bit easier to use than some of the other project management systems I have worked on in the past. The timesheet entry, job opening, meeting/calendar and budget/estimate tools are what I use the most as a Sr. Account Executive. I find the project/workflow scheduling a bit hard and clunky to use, so I tend to just make schedules on my own. The unpredictability of project timeline changes also makes workflow/schedule a daunting task.

With that said, I overall really enjoy using workamajig and feel its very functional and easy to use.

Comments: I have used Workamajig to help run and grow our agency for approximately ten years. I have to tell you that I love the product and credit it with helping us to grow and thrive. As an agency owner, it has really helped us. That said, I really feel like their technology needs an upgrade. The interface is built in Flash/Flex and it is very cumbersome and not mobile friendly. They have changes in the works, but that has been way too long in arriving. They also need a really good mobile app to help us manage and grow. I expect these upgrades to arrive. The people are really responsive and I would highly recommend the product.

Overall: I enjoy using Workamajig. I like that it's an all in one system. I like that the traffic, project management, AR, AP, time tracking and so one are all in one system and all work together. I also like how easy things can be adjusted. I like to tell new users, don't worry about making a mistake, there isn't anything you can do that we can't fix. Other systems that I have used are not that user friendly.

Recommendations to other buyers: I think it would be great to have continuing education webinars/training sessions that users could take to learn things that maybe we don't know it does.

Cons: It's a little clunky when setting up projects- a little time consuming

Overall: I really like the schedule portion of workamajig and the setting up of the tasks. It's helpful to track projects

Pros: Once I learned Workamajig (classic) it was easy enough to figure out how to do what I need to do (Not super in-depth stuff; just time reporting and looking up projects).

Cons: I was excited that a Platinum was coming out to ensure usability (as browsers remove Flash) and to give it a non-1990's interface. BOY was I disappointed. The user interface is so confusing and non user-friendly. It seems like an update for updates sake; a knee-jerk reaction to Flash going away.

Pros: Easy to track and change time for projects.

Cons: Not very user-friendly. There is a somewhat steep learning curve just to figure out how to locate projects and track time. Icons are small, unclear, and don't relate at all to the actions they represent.

I also have problems attaching documents to diary notes at times. It seems like special characters (even dashes) set these problems off, but I'm not entirely sure because Workamajig doesn't always give me a clear diagnosis.
