We think our tenure with Workamajig speaks to the quality of the product they provide our agency. We've been in the system now well over 12 years and continue to be impressed by its ability to be a true all-in-one software for us.

Pros

The customer service is unmatched. The personalized approach to their customer support is one of a kind, and I've never had a question go unanswered. Their willingness to take feedback and make changes based on the needs of their users is highly commendable.

Cons

The cons have nothing to do with Workamajig themselves, and everything to do with us not using the system to its fullest potential. It truly is the all-in-one package for marketing agencies and creative teams.

Pros

I used this product for over 6 years, in a traffic/workflow capacity. I liked how quickly I could set up budgets and projects and move them through our Creative Agency.

Cons

Often limitations in database reporting when it came to pulling dollars vs. hours spent. I often work with \[sensitive content hidden\] @ Workamajig on deep, detailed reporting, which, to her credit, she was great in helping me achieve.

Cons

The interface can feel a bit dated and has a learning curve for new users, especially when first setting up or navigating advanced features.

Customer Support - our account manager is phenomenal in knowledge and customer service. Workamajig allows generous flexibility with customized reporting.

Cons

Customized Paths - While Workamajig suggests "the way" to use the tool, there are multiple setups and options to customize the environment. This can cause unintended results and a spiraling of confusion as to how to adjust without causing more unintended results.

Responsive customer service and good support! It sometimes takes a few tries to get a personal response but they are very helpful.

Pros

Timesheets, Project Manager, Media, all-inclusive agency software is tied into accounting software so we don't need additional plug-ins.

Cons

Media - It would be nice to have insertion order software to not have to manually upload or enter insertion orders that have already been created on another platform.

I did not roll this tool out to our team but inherited the management of it. I think WMJ has a lot of smart capability and functionality. It has been a bear to learn on my own but I can tell that when implemented correctly, it could be very helpful for an agency.

Pros

I like the possibilities with Workamajig. I can tell that the team that developed this product thought of everything that a project manager or agency could need for the intake and execution of a project. I also like that the finances are tied to this project system. This is game changing for the agency.

Cons

1\. Because of the vast amount of customization available, it is difficult to figure out the best way to use the tool in our agency. Shifting from a simplified project management system to Workmajig is tough. Additional training resources are needed. One PM bootcamp per year isn't enough and I wish we could have a "re-onboarding" for new agency members that are tasked with managing the system. I love our account manager but she is hesitant to tell us the "right" way to do something in our system. Our team is only using a small percentage of the capabilities within Workamajig because we don't even know how to start using all the other functions. I wonder if this tool is right for our agency or if we need something a little less involved. 2. It is difficult to quickly see what is happening within a project's budget. I think part of this is due to how our agency is currently using the tool but to see a review a project budget, our team has to toggle between multiple views to get a sense of what is going on with it. The reporting center's reports aren't client facing and requires a lot of PDF editing. Our team tracks budgets in excel due because WMJ doesn't give us a clear look at this. 3. Data syncing/loading errors. WMJ seems to always have issues loading. The to do board times out frequently. We are not sure what is causing this but every week there is a teams note sent out from the creative team asking if anyone else is having WMJ loading issues. We've brought this up to the support team before but haven't received a solution yet. We'll stay hopeful that we figure out what is going on here! 4. Not mobile-friendly - hard to keep an eye on project status from your phone.

It definitely isn’t user friendly but now that I (mostly) have the hang of it, I enjoy it. I wish there was a way to somehow lock people out if they don’t submit their timesheets though.

Pros

I love how fast the reporting is. It’s a HUGE timesaver!

Cons

How unintuitive it is. You really need to get comfortable poking around and I’m not sure you could be successful without instruction.

Great training team and lots of videos and help available to trouble shoot. We switched over and saw a lot of results. They also offer bootcamps to learn and grow as you identify your needs.

Pros

The software is specifically designed for agencies in the creative field and addresses the challenges faced by project managers and billing. It saves a lot of time and the reports generated give a lot of quick transparency - they also convert to spreadsheets making it a huge time saver.

Cons

Too many ways to do one thing. Not streamlined enough. Also, not enough warning bells for folks who forget to mark their tasks complete.

Pros

I like that we can ask questions and get live how to solve a specific issue.

Cons

I would say you have to have background in the platform so for a new PM some portions might be hard to follow. Also I would recommend multiple microphones in diff areas.

Our company has used Workamajig for accounting and project management for 4 years. Overall we like the system. Its an easy to use, wholistic system that provides improved visibility to our financials. Our PM team loves it as well. The credit card feed feature is a big winner for us. This feature solved a lot of internal issues.

Pros

I like Workamajig for its ease of use, flexibility, and its reporting capabilities. We use about 75% of the features the system offers. Everything from accounts payable, billing, project management, credit card integration, and general accounting. This system provides many helpful canned reports and you can also create custom reports.

Cons

Too many ways to get to the same thing. Some navigation is not intuitive.

We use pretty much all of Workamajig and we love it. Our agency is new, and we are saving a ton of time by putting everything in Workamajig and using less outside software.

Pros

Very comprehensive from sales to billing and accounting. Task management is great.

Cons

It can be difficult to learn. Mobile is tricky. Wish they had a mobile app instead of just the website. Wish they had a chat or IM feature.

Pros

Agency centric. Provides alot of great features i.e. Vpayment, CC connector, Advance bill, prebill

Cons

Project management and media buying need to be updated for current needs in advertising space or PM and Media buying and tracking. Some of the reports do not tie to other based. Reporting should be more robust for the end user. We should have access to the entire database to create reports i.e. report writer, crystal reports.

The software is consistent, our team loved the UI and it was relatively easy to implement because the customer success team was so hands on.

Pros

This is our 4th attempt at finding the right software to manage our agency, projects and tasks. Jiggy is here to stay!

Cons

The true PM side of this solution is not MS Project (but that is not necessarily a bad thing). We have made it work for our agency and are happy with the results.

Overall I really like this software and would highly recommend it to any small to mid-sized agency that needs help to organize their project flow, tracking, client and vendor communications/task tracking/follow up and A/R or A/P.

Pros

Workamajig helps our brand management agency track all necessary project information in one central location. Everything can be documented, from tasks to meetings, time entry, creative briefs, project proofs, PO's and invoicing. It is fairly easy to use. Also it is great for looking up projects from the past and creating new dockets based on the structure of past projects. Because Workamajig is web-based it provides a very user-friendly interface for team members no matter where they are located. Project home pages can be customized by each user, so they can show or hide a dashboard that features what is most important to them based on their role or how they work. Access rights and privileges are easy to assign as well.

Cons

It can take a while for new users to get used to where everything is accessed as far as entry points for critical information or reports that you can pull. The user interface can be a bit confusing for project income forecasting - for example having to open more than one area of the project to enter Accounting information and billing dates, as well as checking off - "Include in Forecast" at the estimate stage. There are also many ways to achieve the same goal but it can be more confusing than helpful for some - I think there could be some simplification of steps needed for setting up things like project sales forecasts.

It has taken time to get used to the program. We use the program mainly for job tracking and trafficking. Now that I have individuals to work with, I look forward to where we can evolve to.

Pros

The potential that this program has is vast and thought out. I like that we as customers have a voice in aiding in the evolution of the program. I am fairly new to the program and I appreciate the continued education.

Cons

Not being able to customize the top portion of the project request form. This could be training or working with our account rep however.

Pros

It ties timesheets and expenses together with billing. And I like the reports it can give.

Cons

The UX and UI. There needs to be so so so much work put into the user flow. There are 20 different way to get the to the same features, it's unattractive, terms and vocab are all over the place... I could go on.
