Cons

Sometimes I can't figure out which column is the work we've actually done when looking at a project. It's hard to sift through all of the information. Sometimes it crashes after being open for a few hours.

Pros

What I like most is the ease of use and how intuitive it is. From day 1 our company adapted quickly to the use. I still think we are not using the program to its full potential. The email notification & diary function is a awesome time saver.

Cons

So far nothing has really come off as least likeable.

### "Solid product"

Pros

Workamajig works great overall - it's great to be able to have CRM, project estimates, budgeting, and invoicing all rolled into one package.

Cons

Calendar sync is a little tricky sometimes. Layout tools and options for printed/output of estimates and invoices could be improved.

I like how it's very easy to navigate and find out information you're looking for. But mostly, the billing process is so much more streamlined that Clients & Profits.

Cons

I really feel like a mobile version of Workamajig would be great!

### "So-So Agency Software"

It's ... fine. Agency software leaves something to be desired in general. The Mondays of the world don't offer a ton of high-end functionality, and database-backed software like Workamajig seem to be inherently tough to use. If you can live with a Monday or a Basecamp, stay there. If you need something big but can't afford an Oracle or SAP, Workamajig is a fair option.

Pros

It's better than a lot of project management tools we've used in the past. Assuming you're a super-user and have clean data, it's possible to schedule work well ahead of time.

Cons

The UI is beyond unintuitive. Logging time is exceptionally difficult; it requires filling out 4-5 fields, each of which must be clicked individually. Finding tasks is very tough unless you know the exact wording used to put them into the system. Reporting is sub-par.

The platform is good at predicting workload and ensuring we have the proper resources in house.

Cons

Workamajih gets the job done but it’s not a very responsive or intuitive platform. Extensive training is required and we have four full-time employees dedicated to trafficking where the tasks go.

### "Feedback system is completely useless"

Overall, the program has potential but WMJ is not the only solution on the market and I suggest you firmly evaluate your options before entering an agreement with them.

Pros

It is nice to be able to see all of the jobs that I need to approve or route to clients in one place. Additionally, being able to access all of the rounds and files associated with a project centralized saves me a lot of time that I would normally spend organizing files.

Cons

Being someone that frequently leaves feedback on creative rounds, I can confidently say that the feedback system is completely broken. I have tried across multiple browsers, have reset my cache, have contacted support, and they are well aware of how bad it is. The thought of using this to route content to a client is laughable because I would not subject my clients to this madness. I usually end up downloading PDFs from Workamajig and then emailing it to the client.

### "It'll do what you need it to do."

We used two separate systems for accounting and project workflow, this was one of the few that pulled them together in a more native manner. If you want workflow software, there are many out there that are FAR better than this solution, and the same can be said for accounting software. But until Quickbooks-like solution or Basecamp-like products natively integrate, this is probably the next best thing.

Pros

One of the few solutions that connects time tracking, project management, fairly sophisticated accounting and billing, media contracts, utilization reporting, and more.

Cons

Its not intuitive. The products ease-of-use has improved with the latest version, Platinum, but its still not as intuitive as most main stream software. Users/managers of the product need some pretty specific knowledge of the software to get the most out of it.

We mostly use this system for job numbers, budgets and estimating/invoicing. It performs best for us in those key areas.

Pros

Its user friendly for budgets, teams and schedules. The dashboard allows you to see how things are tracking to budget and if you are in the green or red of projects. Only downside to this is it requires that people do their timesheets on time. :)

Cons

Really time consuming to estimate hours, assign staff and create timelines in this system. In the world of advertising, things change, so I'm hoping WMG rolls out a system to make scheduling more efficient so it's less time consuming.

Not good, I need to start evaluating other solutions as I am not happy with this one. The amount of time that our account managers waste with this tool is very unproductive....

Pros

I like the idea of the tool being one stop shop for an agency, but in reality is so difficult to use and cumbersome that I would rather use several unrelated systems...

Cons

It is incredibly cumbersome and difficult to use, I wonder if Workamajic has done any user testing before putting out their new version, it's visually more appealing than the old one but doesn't follow a consistent logic and has too many steps.

It's our main time tracking software, and an office-wide joke.

Pros

The search function is kind of nice. It has a TON of features. It integrates well with Quick Books.

Cons

There's so much. The super unconventional UI layout and structure that requires so much from users to learn. Every day someone has to ask the admin how to even do the most basic functions. No one knows how it works, or comes close to using it to its full potential. It's slow. It crashes sometimes, losing people tons of time doing timesheets. Creating new jobs is a hassle. I can keep going.

Pros

I like that Workamajig has so many features. My team uses it for project management, proofing, estimating, and so many other things.

Cons

The expansive features can be a double-edged sword. As great as it is to have so many features, it's also a bit frustrating trying to navigate the platform. the onboarding process for this program is a massive undertaking.

We are better with it than without it!

Pros

Workamajig provides & consistent approach to work flow. It records conversations & history allowing users to review a project in entirety. Like any software the system is only as valuable as the data that is input so proper training, consistency of use is key.

Cons

There are lots of ways to accomplish the same task, which can make sharing learnings challenging. In some areas the interface is clunky with lots of fly in tabs.

### "WMJ a good software platform for Advertising"

This is a good, solid software for the Advertising industry.

Pros

It is easy to use. Functions are easy to locate and processing Timesheets, Invoices, payments and more are fully functional.

Cons

There are limitations to the reporting, but you can request specialized reporting. This is mainly used by the Accounting staff, other employees use it for timesheets, only.

Be able to see my hours in weekly overview. This way I get to see everything for that week at once.

Cons

Ease of use: UX and functionality. It seems like there are a lot of functionality to the app. But it's hard to explore it. Maybe an interactive documentation?

Pros

It is easy to navigate. The project management piece is excellent if utilized to its full potential. The ability to customize your color scheme is also pretty nice.

Cons

Many basic accounting functions are not automatic, including WIP, AR, and Forecasting. Also, the budgeting screen within a project is not very clear. There is no HR piece, requiring us to have an additional software, which of course costs us additional money.

It can be a daunting platform, so not everyone learns to use it -- company-wide adoption is a problem. We used Wrike at one point for PM, and they had a huge customer success program... would be interesting to WMJ do more of that.

Pros

Software is comprehensive. It's all there. Once you know how to find everything, at least.

Cons

Software feels pretty antiquated, like something out of the 90s. Easy of use isn't there -- and Platinum, which was meant to address this is just a lot less straight-forward than original (plus seems to not have all the same features).

I am a stereotypical "End User". I just log in to enter my time towards the projects I work on. That seems easy enough, and the only real problem I ever encounter is when the account manager hasn't set up the project correctly. That usually just involves a short conversation with the account manager and they are able to quickly resolve it. In the Platinum version of Woramajig, the time entry feature is even more intuitive and the copy week function is a HUGE timesaver. My supervisors seem to enjoy the ease in pulling time spent on a completed project in order to forecast future similar projects. Overall, this is the best system for time entry I have used at a company, but my experience is very limited. It's much better than paper forms or Excel worksheets.

Pros

Web-based software makes it easy to access from any computer. Time entry is intuitive. Ability to copy weeks handy for longer projects. Ability to run reports on project time spent seems robust.

Cons

Seems very complicated overall. Ability to search on legacy version seems limited, Platinum seems to have fixed this.

Pros

Project management software tool specific to the advertising agency structure and workflow. Integration of all the necessary parts from beginning (new client, new project) to end (billing). Monthly updates. They listen to users' feedback and make updates in response.

Cons

Initial setup took a full year. It was a big process and should have been accomplished quicker. Availability of trainers and time allowed were limited. There is some limitation to customization but it seems to be improving.

### "Fabulous Software for the Agency Way!"

The agency went from writing daily tasks on a whiteboard 4 years ago and is now organized and running as a "well oiled machine" with Workamajig. We keep finding new ways to use Workamajig to it's full potential.

Pros

Everything you need to run your creative agency is in ONE software w/ great scheduling, resource managing and detailed reporting.

Cons

Still a few (minor) bugs here and there as "Platinum" is a new version that does not need flash to work. Having said that, any bug that has been reported has been fixed by the amazing team @ Workamajig!

Jig is great! Time tracking is easy to use and the whole team calendar makes it easy to know who is on and out of the office.

Pros

I like how easy it is to track my time within Jig. In my company, I mostly use it for time tracking, credit card entries, and new job setup. It helps me to keep everything organized and helps with tracking program expenses and spending.

Cons

It did take a while to learn how to use Jig fully.
