### "Simply the Best "

August 18, 2022

Excellent, from purchasing, to use, and customer service.

Pros

is the best practice management software on the market—hands down. We love its seamless integrations between billing and case management.

Cons

While Manage is a highly-developed product, Clio Grow has fallen from cutting edge and needs additional work.

### "Solo Attorney Highly Recommends Clio"

August 19, 2019

5.0

has made me much more organized and efficient. My billing process is easier and smoother and I keep better track of accounts receivable. Much easier to track the progress of a file and leads. It is easy to share documents and communications securely with clients

Pros

software is comprehensive and covers everything that I need as a solo attorney to keep my practice running smoothly and efficiently. Clio Grow is a new feature that helps me track leads, lead sources, the intake process, etc. It is very comprehensive and is easily merged with Clio Manage. The Clio help desk is excellent. Answers are always spot on. If they cannot fix my problem, they will honestly tell me that Clio does not have the capability that I'm looking for and they will offer to submit a request for that capability to be considered in the future. Clio is always looking to address customer needs.

Cons

Does not have all of the capabilities that I need but has most of them. Sometimes the queue for the help desk/chat is rather long.

I attended a conference for solo/small firms and was highly recommended. I tried it out and it was much more robust and easier to use than AbacusLaw so I made the switch.

### "Clio Manager"

February 15, 2024

4.0

Overall is great for a firm who have large cases, and need a program that is a one-stop shop.

Pros

Overall works well, it is a very efficient online management software for PI cases. I like the fact that it is compatible with YoCierge( a medical record retrieval company) which makes case management flow easily.

Cons

The only problem I have with is the facts how it process the expenses for each case.

### "Clío Daily User"

October 10, 2020

4.0

Overall I still like the product and have invested time and money to keep a customer profile of all our clients. However, knowing the product for many years I have experienced it’s full potential and would like the current issues to be corrected.

Pros

Our office implemented Clío Manage to keep our client files virtually. The program has the capacity to keep notes, documents, time keeping, invoices, task management and an email communication log, of all our firm clients in one place. In addition, you can share documents with your clients for easy access and communication.

Cons

I have used Clío for over 4 years, when we started the program it worked perfectly. Unfortunately a system update eliminated the email plugin and created a new and updated one, which came with flaws that have not been corrected. Now emails are hard to save into our files, some don’t save at all. The glitches have affected the program from working at 100% efficiency. I would recommend for Clío to go back to its previous system plugin, as this upgrade affected the overall quality of the program. In addition, the Mobil app for Clío is not capable for viewing documents or to add any information to the file. It’s a read-only app which makes it useless.

### "Perfect Software for Law Practices! "

October 14, 2019

5.0

Overall, is an amazing software. It's easy to work with whether you're a computer wizard or not. I've trained several new employees who have not had any issues with Clio and have caught on real quick. Because of how easy, fast and organized Clio is, I 100% recommend this program.

Pros

This software is perfect. I like how it keeps client files, notes and funds along with other features organized. I like that we are able to share secure files with clients and that clients are able to make secure payments. Customer service when I can't figure something out or simply having issues with the software is amazing. No matter what the issue is if any at all, you have easy access to online videos and round the clock help that are able to help you right away. I love the new beta application and the upgrade that was recently done to the dashboard and the fact that if there is an issue with or maintenance we get a notification letting us know right away.

Cons

The one thing that I found a bit confusing as well as some of our clients are the invoices. Sometimes there a little hard to read. However, once you get used to viewing them more frequently you obviously get the hang of it. To be more specific, the confusing part of an invoice is the bottom of the invoice the "Detailed Statement of Account." Either way, it's not a daily thing when explaining these to client's. However, that being said, is very good at following up with any issues that anyone experiences in a quickly and professional manner to ensure we as a client/user are having a great experience.

### "Clio is an essential part of this law firm"

July 25, 2019

5.0

Pros

Having direct access to the company, and the developers is a huge benefit to using . If there's something that's not quite right, there's usually an easy fix or workaround, and you don't have to wait around for days or weeks to get a response from support. As far as the software itself, we love the nearly limitless integration ability of Clio, and the fact that they're always adding/improving features, like CourtRules, which is essential to our litigation practice.

Cons

We've been powered by since 2011, and at the time, subscription software was a new concept, which took me a while to warm up to. Eight years later, however, everything requires a subscription, so this is a non-issue. I can only think of two things that I wish Clio would come up with a fix for: (1) ability to merge duplicate contacts; and (2) bring back the ability to have a less expensive subscriptions for non-attorney users.

### "Excellent Management Tool"

January 20, 2023

5.0

has been an excellent tool in keeping my law firm organized when it comes to time management; billing and collecting receivables from clients.

Pros

The ease that it is to use and the service team that answers every question.

Cons

The document tools are a bit complicated. I would use the document tool more with a zoom class or in-person tutorial.

Reason for choosing Clio

The interactive sales person and the quality of the in-person over Zoom training my firm received. Plus the migration from Amicus to was almost seamless. The tech personnel at Clio had specialized training to be able to migrate my already existing client-base and it went very smoothly.

### "Clio is great for a small firm work flow"

October 13, 2020

4.0

Overall it is a great program that is adaptable to your own needs. it is small enough to not be overwhelimgin with useless checklists and to do items.

Pros

is a very adaptable program that we are able to mold to our firms unique style. we are able to track emails, client notes, client documents, calendar events, court pleadings and work flow. we are a small firm and this program allows us to work efficiently without huge overhead.

Cons

The cloud based service takes some adjusting to but once you get it incorporated into your daily actions it is very nice to have all your files a smart phone away. the program is not as intuitive for an older practinoner like me but the younger staff members are good. is always wanting you to come to a seminar or program which is annoying. I like the program, doesn't mean I want to travel all over to hear others talk about the program.

Reason for choosing Clio

easy to use. adaptable, affordable, great for a small firm.

### "Accept No Substitute for Small Firms"

November 6, 2019

4.0

has helped us to cut down the time it takes to intake, retain, track, and bill clients, and shaves countless hours of administrative tasks off of our dockets. It is great as a lawyer to be able to manage these items directly and promptly for my clients, and it also makes our administrative staff free to focus on more valuable tasks and firm operations.

Pros

is a wonderfully innovative, reliable, and flexible platform for managing client matters, billing, and a host of miscellaneous issues and data. Our firm has been using Clio for 3 years, starting with simply using it to track time and client info, and since expanding it to track client intake and retainers, accounting automation, bill collection, and even digital minute book storage. Clio has continued to add features over time which has given the platform greater function and synergy with our workflows, with more upgrades always on the horizon. There are also many great supplementary platforms and software which can "talk" to clio via its API, and which only add further functionality. Overall it's an incredibly useful system for a small firm if you take the time to set it up, and it is also fairly stable and reliable.

Cons

There is the occasional downtime or glitch that comes through, those these are usually addressed promptly. Aside from this, the biggest challenge is taking the time to set up properly, learn its systems, and find supplementary software for any features which are not yet supported. There is definitely a setup and learning curve, but once overcome it is a solid system.

### "Customer service makes all the difference. "

May 16, 2017

5.0

All the information you need at your fingertips, anywhere in the world. Hassle-free and comprehensive customer service.

Pros

Packed with features. There is just so much that can be done with this software that a firm might not have thought to do with some of the older software platforms. Everything is secure and designed from a legal professional's viewpoint. Every person in our firm can handle a case from start to finish without leaving the platform -- anywhere, anytime. Also, the customer service should not be overlooked. When we were researching various platforms to take over for Time Matters (Practice Panther, Rocket Matter, MyCase, etc.) Clio was the only company that had a knowledgable onboarding professional at the ready. They were incredibly flexible with letting us extend our demo phase and spent many hours running through different functions with us. They even held a full-scale training session with our entire staff BEFORE we had signed up. Even after we purchased Clio, they continued to hold our hand through the entire implementation process. That sort of service made our transition into the cloud seamless and allowed us to really take advantage of cost-savings that we were aiming for.

Cons

The only issue that we've had so far is personalizing the goals on the dashboard page. It would be nice to have a more granular and specific revenue analysis for each attorney. Granted, we are still implementing other more important features firm-wide, so this hasn't been the highest priority, and it's more of a luxury anyway.

Pros

Once I got the hang of it, I love the Document and time management features.

Cons

### "So much better than my old software!!"

October 4, 2016

5.0

I have been using for about a year now and absolutely love it. I used to use Abacus Law which was fine but frustrating. Clio is SO easy to use, I'm a lawyer, not an accountant, but it's easy to figure out what I'm supposed to do. Plus their customer service and on-boarding process are great. Any issues I've had I've been able to resolve quickly with the support team and the development team listens to feedback from users and implements it! Pretty awesome. I have small firm, it's just me. I travel all over the place and I love being able to log into Clio any time anywhere, even from my phone! I capture a lot more of my billable hours. And invoicing my clients in a SNAP. The third party integrations are outstanding, I love how it works with so many other products that I use. I've been able to stack a lot of things to make my firm seem like it's a lot bigger than it is. I <3 Clio! Get it, you will not be sorry.

Pros

Easy to use Fast performance Clear user interface Available anywhere Lots of integrations with other products Great customer training and support Easy, fast invoicing

Cons

The dashboard needs some work, it's not possible to customize how many days of the year you will work (so you can meet the goals you set) and it's currently not possible to track by revenue in the door, only by billed hours. Would love to have an integration available with project management software since tasks are just to do lists and to do lists don't work.

### "Clio Review"

February 14, 2023

5.0

Pros

I really enjoy how easy the software is to read and find everything. I really appreciate the time tracking as well. has helped me learn a lot about softwares and even how it compares to other. It is up there on the list for sure. When someone tells me about another software, I tell them about Clio because I really like the software.

Cons

One thing I would change about is add a dashboard or feed for each matter. This would be so everything that has happened for a matter can be seen quickly in one place. I would also say the customer service could use some improvement at times.

### "Clio will never be perfect, but continuously improving is all we can hope for in software anyway"

September 26, 2016

4.0

Over five years ago, while still in my first year of solo practice (6 years after first bar admission), I tried another product advertised to work for Mac users and it was a nightmare, so I resolved to try Rocketmatter and ; for whatever reason, I found I preferred the look and feel of Clio, and have been with it since. It's the first program I open every day and the last program I shut down when I go home. I am a true solo with no staff support still, and am just now tip-toeing into hiring some staff support - Clio makes it easy for me to use remote support, work-from-home assistants, etc., which is great for keeping the overhead low and the ROI on it high.

Pros

The integrated suite of functions

Cons

1) There are some known glitches that result from the cloud exchange of data that don't seem to be getting corrected. 2) The UI should be more customizable within the total palette of functions and features. I'm very oriented towards being able to do everything with keystrokes as efficiently as possible, and Clio isn't there yet in its usability. 3) I'm growing increasingly concerned about my inability to access my data following a big natural disaster (such as the Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake). Clio needs to offer a function that will allow lawyers to use Clio in "isolated/local only" mode (i.e., with no internet connection to the mothership) and then sync all the changes once the internet is restored. If I ever leave Clio it will be because of this concern. In the event of a big disaster recovery, I should be able to keep practicing as much as possible just like I am now, even if Clio and the Internet are not available.

### "Absolutely love Clio! "

June 29, 2019

5.0

Our firm as a whole is extremely happy with . It makes our day to day much easier and less of a headache. It’s the one software that we use most every day, and I have recommended it to numerous other offices when the subject has come up. Clio is easy to use for us, as well as our clients, and their Clio Support team is knowledgeable and helpful anytime we have needed to contact them for an issue.

Pros

I love the ease of use, the ability to see when a client has read or opened a document or message, being able to keep track of time AND send bills from the same software. Our clients can easily keep track of all of their documents and bills in one place.

Cons

I dislike that and our LawPay account do not “talk” as simply as we would like. It would be very helpful if there was a way that transactions went directly into Clio, and to a specific client matter, when processed on LawPay. The app is a little hard to navigate also. I typically login to the web access on my phone versus using the app.

### "Improve your productivity with Clio"

July 23, 2022

5.0

I only recently discovered . Before that, I was doing my tasks in a traditional way which also consumed a lot of time and money. I am sure that Clio will greatly improve my productivity and financial performance. I'm sorry I didn't find out before.

Pros

Time and cost! This is the most important thing on which business is based, so if you perform your work at the lowest cost and in the least possible time, then you are on the right path. What I like about is that it can save me a lot and a lot of time that I used to deal with a lot of data and often messy as well as saving a lot Of the costs I would have incurred if I dealt with this data traditionally Clio is an automated secretary that can do everything, manage your communications, your money, your data, and even provide you with reports on your professional and financial performance at different intervals, and this is really excellent and very comprehensive It provides excellent solutions that allow you to run your business from anywhere at any time, this is the future of business!

Cons

Despite all the positive aspects that offers, I think that the Clio team can provide a better experience for the customer by improving the user interface and making it less complicated. Without the need to spend more time learning to use the application In addition, I advise the Clio team to invest more in the use of artificial intelligence in tasks that can be performed with voice commands, which will facilitate things a lot in the future and make the application a pioneer in its field for many years.

### "Life Changing"

January 20, 2023

5.0

Faster billing

Pros

revolutionized how we bill our clients. Easy to use and integrates with everything we need and use.

Cons

(1)Reporting - The reporting is far off from what our firm and clients need. There are no reports that provide the complete information. No reports that include my custom fields. I have to export to excel to create any and all reports. This is frustrating. But I have faith that one day 's reporting will become more robust.(2)Some billing functions - We are a high volume Immigration firm that is 95% Flat Fee billing. Clio is better for hourly billing and time keeping. However, it is very easy to create work-arounds. I just hope Clio's development team can eventually fix this issue to make my life easier.

Reason for choosing Clio

The sales team, onboarding and training was great!
