### "Clio - An Excellent Law Practice "

Overall, my experience with has been excellent with some rare hiccups over the years. I've been a Clio customer for over ten years and it remains an excellent value for the money.

Pros

is easy to use, offering an intuitive interface that outputs editable PDF bills/invoices seamlessly. The analytics/reports are also useful.

Cons

The templates offered are not that robust, and there was no option for direct output to Microsoft Word or RTF. To effectively use , one really has to know a lot about editing PDFs.

It really has evolved since I first used it 6 years ago- love that they are constantly improving, adding new features, and are always offering opportunities for us to learn and become more efficient.

Pros

The constant improvements, new features, response to customer ideas and suggestions- they really listen, and prompt service/inquiries response

Cons

Nothing I don't like- but perhaps we could have special pricing for smaller firms (1-3 people)- as opposed to having pricing for each user with additions that become available. For example, to add more than 3 courts for court rules, there is an additional cost to upgrade; or to get AI Manage, license per user- where perhaps in a small firm having a "firm" license price might be more effective.

### "Great Client & Matter Management Software"

My overall experience with has been good. There are several areas where I believe improvements can be made. They are constantly rolling out updates to the software and they do accept recommendations from their subscribers so I believe it will get better with time. The software hits on practically every aspect needed by a law firm so I would recommend it if you wanted assistance in managing your firm.

Pros

I like that it offers an academy so you can learn how to properly work the software. They also have an extensive help section that allows you to seek assistance at any time and most times I have found a solution. I also like that if allows you to track a client from beginning to end and offers you the option to enter as much information on a client and matter as you wish.

Cons

What I like least about is that there is not an easy way to invoice a client who has hired the firm on a flat rate instead of hourly. It will allow the flat rate however it does not allow you to break down the time with descriptions of the work completed without jumping through a lot of hoops. It can be done however it requires several steps and can use up quite a bit of time.

### "Do not recommend for Australian lawyers "

Dissatisfied. Beware that if you’re not happy with their service and you’ve paid for a yearly subscription, they will say they will "check refund eligibility" and just cancel your account and not refund you without advising you.

Pros

Payments was good - it was the only thing that worked well for me. Payments and billing generally

Cons

Everything else. The platform is not suitable for Australian practitioners — it is very US-centric and doesn’t align with our requirements. The system feels clunky and fidgety. Smokeball and Leap are far better alternatives for Australian firms.

### "Fast and efficient Email management."

The transition from our previous software to Clío was challenging, however, since then we have been very happy with the program.

Pros

makes email linking and docketing very smooth when integrated with Outlook Express. It has saved our firm a lot of time beign able to link, docket and file the documents in one step.

Cons

Name searching is sometimes very specific when linking emails, and at times, even correctly enters accounts that do not populate for linking.

Pros

The customer service attention is outstanding. We have shortened the time to receive payments from clients using Pay. Having one place to store all our client data, documents and notes regarding the work with do with them is invaluable. Clio always seems to be listening to customer feedback and rolling out updates and improvements. Seems like as a company, they have their core values figured out.

Cons

Still hoping better integration between Draft, Grow and Manage is on the way. Grow needs a little help but it is our go to for intake.

is terrific. The company is at the forefront of legal technology. They are always innovating, and in my experience, they put their customers first.

Pros

is an essential part of my law firm’s operations and profitability. Its intuitive interface makes daily workflows seamless, and the excellent customer support ensures issues are resolved quickly. I highly recommend Clio. Five stars!

Cons

Duo is not as helpful as I hoped it would be. The "analyzer feature" is very helpful. The "assistant" aspects are not up to par yet.

### "The only software you will ever need for a Law Firm"

I work with my client, a personal injury law firm. I do marketing emails and try to help them keep their business running smoothly and efficiently.

Pros

integrates our law practice so anyone can be logged in at anytime and access a patient's file and see their medical reports and accident photos and see the client's status.

Cons

We didn't label all of the clients as clients when we went in so when we merged with a 3rd party software to send marketing emails, many insurance company contacts came up instead of only clients.

Good! It's a little difficult to use at first. Good customer service though. I would find it better if I could email from the platform directly.

Pros

I love the ability to organize the documents and easily move documents around to different files and folders. Also uploading the documents from different programs/platforms is quick and easy.

Cons

The inability to open an email saved and respond to it through Outlook. Also, sometimes the launcher does not work, and I have to download the document sought to revise it.

I would think twice before using another software, is reliable for all of my work. The rest of my team thinks the same.

Pros

I have used since I started this job and right from the start I have never had issues. The program is easy to navigate and keep track of all work completed.

Cons

There are not many cons that come to mind, whenever the program has any issues I get alerts and the issue is fixed within a couple minutes.

Pros

The interface is very user friendly and easy to access. It is straightforward to easily access files. Billing is also straightforward and easy to access.

Cons

There are not many perks in the interface in total. However, the transitioning between and our previous software was easy to access.

It is easy to use. The website's layout is easy to navigate. Customer service is good. is always innovating its product.

I want to see the Grow and Clio Manage options for merging. These software programs do not fully communicate.

Pros

Our family law firm has been using for almost 7 years. It has helped us stand out from other firms by providing easy communication and case efficiency. Our team loves the ability to manage documents and share with our clients. And the customer support is unbeatable.

Cons

I do wish that was all inclusive rather than having to purchase features separately. For smaller firms it because cost prohibitive to use all of the options.

### "We Love Clio's Versatility"

For our dozen or so users, we work seamlessly and can find the right case detail whenever needed. Support has always helped to find a solution.

Pros

gives us flexibility to handle various case types while maintaining consistent practices throughout the firm. Clio has a high degree of customization, and we use several integrations to achieve our client goals. We now use Clio Duo to track down missing details and information. We also have scheduled weekly reports automatically pop into our inbox.

Cons

I would love to see an internal tool to track automatically all client related work in and other apps. We now use an integrated app for that, but it has some limitations.

Excellent. I recommended it to my cousin for her husband's law firm I like it so much! They are great with support when I have questions.

Pros

I love the ease of tracking time on a matter, easily creating new matters for previous clients, emailing to a matter to keep track of correspondence and documents.

Cons

If you start a matter in Manage, it doesn't link it to the client in Clio Grow. Just remember to start in Clio Grow and it is fine!

Pros

Built-in platform features (e.g. practice management, document management, invoicing), third-party integrations (e.g. Microsoft Outlook & OneDrive, QuickBooks) Customer support is also top notch.

Lack of Accounting & other add-ons available to Canadian firms - hopefully addressed in near future.

Have been using for 5 years. Overall happy but wish there were better project management features. I have also had the hardest time with certain integrations on Mac.

Pros

Very intuitive to use. It’s is also visually appealing.

Cons

Missing features like team chat. Horrible task management. Also, wish grow, manage and accounting were all in one screen. Not sure why it needs to be three different windows.

Pros

This platform is extremely easy to learn and to use--I mean, none of us went to law school to work as IT experts, right?! is constantly innovating and the company is open to suggestions from users. The customer service is second to none with fast, fast, fast! responses. They are also extremely communicative about any issues that may offer challenges to their customers.

Cons

I wish some aspects of the invoicing system were more flexible.

I have never been able to walk onto a job and learn the system they use so easily. It makes document management a breeze. The value for your money is unbelievable. I have reached to Customer service and always been greeted with friendliness. The Team is awesome.

Pros

The ease of use! Learning it only took a couple of hours. Anything is fixable/editable! I can send documents to be signed or just to be received in a couple of clicks.

Cons

I genuinely can't think of one thing I do not like about ! Everything I do can be fixed if need be.

Cons

I enjoy its accessibility and user friendly navigation. Though I am new to , I picked up on it pretty quickly because of how laid out everything it. You do not have to search through hundreds of tabs to find what you are looking for.

Pros

The ability to have all of your casework in one spot. It allows you the convenience of being able to touch case files more often without having to read through every single page that could be in a physical file.

Cons

I think the tabs could be simplified. In previous systems that I have used, there is specifically a tab for all communication, phone calls, text, emails, in person meetings. That was easier for me to keep track of and to know exactly where to look when searching for that information.

Overall experience was a 9/10. I used for very basic things and I enjoyed it. My law firm needed more overall so we switched systems but I’m sure I would’ve still enjoyed Clio just the same.

Pros

I liked the ease of use. It was easy to navigate without have to watch long tutorials. It was also very easy to upload and draft necessary documents. I also enjoyed being notified when clients texted back.

Cons

I was not a huge fan in how the communication was displayed. When looking at email threads it was a bit hard to understand who contacted who and who said what.

I use it for everything. My phone call notes and client meetings. I print my notes for files to help staff know what I know. We only use for task and case upkeep so all the information and status is in one place.

Pros

Efficient for case management, designed for easy use and the most responsive team I’ve ever seen for management application.

Cons

I would like to have more options for my calendar (more like a daytimer feel) with a calendar view that supports tasks management and notes.
