### "Robust Search Capabilities and Document Automation"

May 3, 2026

5.0

Clio has a superior user experience and user interface, its layout is much more user-friendly than most other case management platforms we have sampled.

Pros

Clio's robust search field allows you to easily scan your existing legal universe to reference documents and information, and you can create templates easily to automate routine tasks. The pricing is in line with the industry, and for a solo or small business, it's actually a pretty modest expense.

Cons

The Personal Injury has module started off with exciting possibilities, but we are waiting and hoping for more Insurance-oriented updates and pre-built fields for that.

### "Solid, future focused platform!"

May 12, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience with Clio has been positive. I particularly love how forward thinking Clio is as a brand and they continue to challenge the way that law serves the community. It is a strong platform for firms that want to stay organized, improve client experience, and centralize operations. Like any system, though, it works best when the firm already has strong processes and accountability in place.

Pros

From my perspective, Clio has been a really solid platform for managing a modern law firm. One of the biggest positives is that it is fairly easy to use compared to a lot of other legal software. It brings together calendaring, matter management, billing, documents, client communication, payments, and workflows all in one place, which helps create more consistency across the firm and a better experience for clients. It has also been helpful from an operational standpoint because the cloud-based setup makes remote work and accessibility much easier. Without Clio we would have had a really difficult time navigating the Covid years. I also think Clio does a good job with integrations. It connects with a lot of the other tools firms already use, which helps avoid having everything live in separate systems. The client-facing features like payment links, portals, and scheduling tools also make things feel more streamlined and professional for clients.

Cons

A few frustrations - like most platforms, it is geared toward firms that bill by the hour and we do not. Reporting is one of the weaker areas, especially if you want detailed operational data or more customized tracking. As the firm grows, you also start to notice that some workflows feel a little rigid, and there are times where you have to adjust your process to fit the system. Costs can also add up quickly once you start adding users, integrations, and additional features. Also, our initial migration did not go well, but Clio bent over backwards to remedy the situation which we greatly appreciated.

There are many resources available online and when I find myself in a hole, I can easily search online and find what I need.

Pros

It is very user friendly and easy to navigate. The custom fields allow me to easily add what is needed.

Cons

What I least like about Clio is the ability to not view custom live reports with visual graphs or charts.

### "Clio is just . . . meh!"

August 13, 2025

3.0

This is a good program for a solo or small office but a below average program for a large office. The more non-billing personnel you have and the more users you need makes the program cost outweigh its convenience and lack of flexibility.

Pros

Their customer support until 2025 was excellent, which means they know how to provide it. It has gone down recently choosing to say we are not seeing what we are clearly seeing or putting the problem in to development or even worse, blaming a third party vendor. They were good at helping resolve issues at one time. The program is easy to use and set up however and invoicing is relatively straightforward.

Cons

The per user cost and constant updating of services that are not included and frankly don't work well with their other services seems less of a subscription service and more of a toxic relationship that needs to be ended but for which few viable alternatives exist. We use the "devil we know" expression around my office to describe Clio is, which is not a service that would receive a 5 star review.

### "Full Spectrum Operations Support"

May 12, 2026

5.0

Overall, Clio has been a solid investment for my practice. Since implementing it seven months ago, it's become central to how I operate, from client intake through case closure and billing. The platform handles the core functions I need well: case management is intuitive, the document drafting and template features have genuinely improved my output speed and accuracy, and time tracking integrates smoothly with the billing workflow. That said, there is one frustration worth mentioning: the credit card processing fees add up quickly. If clients elect to pay via credit card with any frequency, that cost structure can feel steep and eats into what would otherwise be a strong value proposition. If I elect to pass the cost on to the client, they lose the ability to use Apple Pay, which is why I haven't yet elected to do that.

Pros

The integrated workflow across intake, case management, document drafting, and billing has been transformative for my practice. In seven months, Clio has significantly streamlined how I handle client intakes and document preparation. What used to be scattered across multiple systems now flows seamlessly in one place. Specifically, the document management and drafting features let me build and reuse templates efficiently, which has made my output faster and more consistent. Paired with the time tracking and case management tools, I can see the full picture of each matter from intake through invoicing without jumping between platforms. The time tracking integration with billing is particularly valuable; I'm capturing hours accurately as we work rather than reconstructing time logs later. It's made me more efficient and reduced the errors that come from manual data entry and disjointed systems.

Cons

It is expensive for a solo practitioner. Having to pay additional fees for each state's template library seems unnecessary. May attorneys are licensed in multiple jurisdictions.

### "Efficient and Reliable Legal Practice Management"

May 4, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Clio has been great. It’s a reliable and easy-to-use platform that helps me stay organized with cases, documents, and client communication. It has definitely made my workflow more efficient.

Pros

The ease of keeping everything in one place—cases, documents, and client communication—has been the most valuable part of using Clio.

Cons

I haven’t really run into any major issues so far. Overall, my experience with Clio has been very positive.

### "CLIO Review"

May 12, 2026

5.0

CLIO has been fantastic and we have no plans to discontinue our partnership with them in our firm. They have helped greatly with our productivity and task management and we have had great feedback from the client side (billing, document transmission, etc.)

Pros

CLIO has been a wonderful addition to our office platforms at our firm. It's easy to use, houses all of our client information and document storage, houses our calendar and allows for easy management of multiple schedules, billing and inner office communication.

Cons

CLIO has so many new additions constantly - and while they are great at promoting the new additions, the integration hasn't always been as seamless or knowing who to contact when needing more information on the programs.

### "Clio is good, but could be better"

June 7, 2026

5.0

Pros

I really like how Clio organizes all our client information and case documents in one place. The task management is pretty solid too, it helps us stay on track with deadlines. Automating some of the basic intake forms saved us a good chunk of time when we first set it up.

Cons

The mobile app can be a bit clunky sometimes, especially when trying to quickly access a specific document. It's not a huge deal for day-to-day work but can be frustrating when I'm out of the office and need something urgently. Wish it was a bit more intuitive.

### "Reliable legal management software for daily office work"

June 22, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Clio has been good. It is a useful platform for managing legal matters, client records, documents, and billing. It helps keep the office more organized and makes it easier to find important information when needed. There are a few areas that could be more customizable, but overall it is a reliable system for law firm management.

Pros

What I liked most about Clio is that it keeps client matters, documents, billing, and communication organized in one place. It is helpful for keeping track of files and client information without having to jump between too many different systems. The layout is fairly straightforward once you get used to it, and it works well for day-to-day legal office management.

Cons

What I liked least about Clio is that some areas can feel limited depending on how your office wants to work. Certain workflows, document handling, and file organization options could be more flexible. It also takes some setup and training to make sure everyone uses it the same way. Also, It has no SharePoint additions.

Overall, Clio is on the right path forward. The integration of Vincent, the library, and its workflow uses are great.

Pros

Clio Vincent is incredible. I strongly recommend every attorney to utilize this tool. It provides immediate value for research and drafting optimization.

Cons

I don't like that there a multiple Clio platforms (Grow, Manage, Work, ect.). It would be great if they were all on platform.

### "So glad we switched to CLIO"

August 5, 2025

5.0

The overall experience with clio has been great. It has allowed for partners in our firm have actual data at their fingertips and it has allowed our firm to get bills out quicker and a better handle on our collections with the multiple payment methods available with clio payments.

Pros

The software was easy to pick up and use, even after switching from a software the the firm used for 15+ years. There are several great features but our favorites are clio payments, efiling, the ease of billing and bill review, reporting and the newly added automations. Our firm also loves the tasking feature and the several ways to capture time. There are several integrations that also make clio a sharp software.

Cons

I do not like that we can not assign one task to multiple people. I also do not like that the trust listing report can not show the responsible attorney.

### "Great Support for Legal Professionals"

May 4, 2026

5.0

Overall great client management system with excellent support. Would highly recommend to other legal professionals.

Pros

Clio offers excellent customer service. They are proactive to let users know about anticipated issues and very responsive when something is going wrong or you have basic questions. It is also user friendly with most functions being pretty self-explanatory. The integration with LawPay makes invoicing and collections even easier.

Cons

I wish it had internal task automation. Although several integrations assist with automation, things get lost in translation by crossing platforms. If Clio could create an internal process for automating task generation and tracking, that would be excellent. I also wish there was a way to share large files with opposing counsel. While Clio for co-counsel is great when tag-teaming cases, there is no easy way to share large files with people you do not want to give access to your file.

### "Clio is amazing!"

February 10, 2026

5.0

Clio has been great overall. I can communicate with clients easily, and the integrations make doing every day tasks easy. The AI support is also a really good feature. 9 times out of 10, it can answer my questions while also showing me step by step how to it.

Pros

Clio makes managing client files super easy. I like that we have the option to send documents for e-signature, and that Clio lets us know when it has been viewed and signed. The Outlook integration is amazing, if a coworker is unavailable for a specific client, I can go to the communications tab and see what is going on in their file.

Cons

In order to do things, such as creating a bill, it takes way too many clicks to accomplish. I would like it better if there was simply a button we can push.

### "Clio is my most trusted partner"

May 2, 2026

5.0

Clio made starting my own firm much less daunting. The customer service is terrific. I was hand held and guided throughout the set up process and have gotten help whenever needed.

Pros

I started my own firm last year and Clio has been my most important partner. I use Clio to manage intake, billing/invoicing, and document management. I appreciate how this one platform can be used for so many different purposes.

Cons

I cannot think of anything -- which speaks volumes. Even when I have had issues, such as with converting or saving files, I have been able to connect with customer service and they help me find workarounds.

### "Clio: Can't Live Without It"

October 29, 2025

5.0

Pros

Clio is indispensable for my law firm. I am a solo practitioner and there's no way that I could handle all of this on my own with Clio. The way it connects to my Gmail and my Google Calendar, along with uploading all my clients into contacts make my life so much easier. It's really easy to use and they always have people available if you need any help. It is well worth the cost and I just upgraded to a higher version for the additional features. Clio is also very innovative, trying to leverage AI to make life easier without stepping into having AI trying to replace lawyers.

Cons

There's some customization features that I'd love to see, like being able to choose exactly what texts messages say that Clio hasn't implemented yet. However, they are always willing to listen and they are responsive to customer requests.

Pros

Clio is regularly coming out with new features and improvements. They stick to what they know by staying the legal space, but evolve with the demands of the customers to create an all-in-one platform. Customer service and support are excellent.

Cons

More flexibility in creating reports. They are working on the reporting feature, but we would love to be able to customize dashboards more easily.

### "Constant innovation helping us become more efficient"

May 13, 2026

5.0

It really has evolved since I first used it 6 years ago- love that they are constantly improving, adding new features, and are always offering opportunities for us to learn and become more efficient.

Pros

The constant improvements, new features, response to customer ideas and suggestions- they really listen, and prompt service/inquiries response

Cons

Nothing I don't like- but perhaps we could have special pricing for smaller firms (1-3 people)- as opposed to having pricing for each user with additions that become available. For example, to add more than 3 courts for court rules, there is an additional cost to upgrade; or to get AI Manage, license per user- where perhaps in a small firm having a "firm" license price might be more effective.

### "Smooth Navigation and Smart Features — Just Needs Tweaks"

August 1, 2025

5.0

Pros

Clio's document management is reliable and easy to use, making it simple to keep case files organized and accessible. Data migration, especially with Clio Grow, is smooth and well-supported, allowing for an easy transition from other systems. The overall navigation is intuitive, helping users move through tasks quickly without a steep learning curve. These strengths make Clio a solid choice for firms looking to improve efficiency without sacrificing usability.

Cons

There’s room for improvement in the Matter Stages feature. While it’s useful for visualizing workflow, it doesn’t remember previously used stage setups, which can slow things down when opening new matters. Additionally, the display of client names is sometimes incomplete, showing only partial names in some views—this can be frustrating when trying to differentiate between clients quickly. These are relatively minor issues but noticeable in regular use.

### "New User, Very Happy"

May 2, 2026

5.0

I'm relatively new to Clio. I used Logics for the last three years, but it was a no-brainer to use Clio when I opened my own firm. Even though there is a learning curve, I was able to navigate the billing process and accounting before I even took the training course. I've needed customer support several times as a new user. I have been shocked at how easy it is to call in at 9 PM and have someone resolve my question.

Pros

My favorite part of Clio is the integration. I use the most essential tool, Manage, but also Grow, Draft, and Accounting. I work very well with processing everything from intake to getting paid.

Cons

That Clio environment is a bit clunky. I don't love having to change different tabs to move from Grow to Manage. I would prefer to stay in the same tab rather than keep closing out tabs on Chrome. The only other thing I would love to see improved would be the Website builder. It is effective, but I'm going to need to spend another $3000 to have the website professionally built.

I work with my client, a personal injury law firm. I do marketing emails and try to help them keep their business running smoothly and efficiently.

Pros

Cons

We didn't label all of the clients as clients when we went in so when we merged clio with a 3rd party software to send marketing emails, many insurance company contacts came up instead of only clients.
