MGMS has been operating very smoothly and trouble free. The support at BMSI has always been super.

Pros

Very customizable. Day to day usage is very easy and straightforward. Keeps all our data well organized. Easy to print permits and notices, monthly reports, etc.

Cons

Set up of reports is somewhat difficult.

Pros

Hi For me the system works well. I have been able to enter permit applications and a lot of info pertaining to each individual permit. When I arrived in the Rye Building Department 5 years ago we were writing the permits by hand. Another positive point is being able to keep track of the permit fees and having the system add them for me so that my deposits are accurate. When printing monthly and yearly reports I can sort by permit type which assists with the federal census bureau forms required for each and every month. A monthly report is produced and given to the building department supervisor along with the town administrator; in order to report back to the Town selectman what kind of business are department is doing. I know that this system has a lot more points that I have yet to learn, but given that I am part time and that are department is unbelievable busy, I am using what I know at this time. Thank you for all of your assistance along the way and getting back to me in a timely and polite manner each and every time I call. Your support team is very helpful as well.

Cons

It is difficult to enter new developments into the system prior to assigning street names and numbers when it is assigned to just one map and lot number. CSR has helped us navigate that.
