We enjoy working with Clip. It has helped us with our job tracking and costing. It also helps us quickly identify problem areas.

Pros

It is very user-friendly. The employees are trained on it quickly and it helps us see all of our numbers,

Cons

It can be very difficult to get a hold of anyone in customer service. This can be very frustrating when trying to figure out an issue or problem.

Nothing really - i prefer CLIPex program overall

I like the fact that it is easy to use but would prefer to not have to be on internet.

Customer service want you to set everything up by watching videos and reading articles. Called technical support they're always busy never able to get a hold of anyone live, you have to leave a message and them to call you back. If you're going to waist your valuable time trying a software to run your business I want to make sure that if I need help, help will be there when you needed.

Pros

integration with Quick Books, Scheduling & Easy to navigate.

Cons

No set up help. I Did the live demo with Bill before before signing up for the free trial period, if the help is not there when you're on the trial period, to me that's the important time to impress your client. What's going to happen when you're using it for two or three months

Pros

Mobile it will save me time billing. I like that I can log on from anywhere and work.

Cons

Billing from my desktop is harder in clipitc then clipxe. For the times when I do have to bill something in the office. I wish it was more like Clipxe. It is a real pain to bill in the office three screens if you need to change description you cant do it until the generate screen. Also no real option to record with out times and employees.

Pros

It’s easy to use. Has lots of features to add to an invoice

Cons

Notes and materials section needs work. Doesn’t work so well with tech positions. Have to be careful when adding or moving a crew members, easy to lose data

Think it’s expensive for small business users. Wish the statements would carry over balance like previous one.

Having to manually instruct it to communicate with QB. Would prefer that info would transfer automatically.

Pros

Easy to use. Straight forward. Good customer service.

As you know I was a clip user for many years. Clip was great for lawn maintenance but fell short for irrigation. Especialy for scheduling turn on's and winterization. I started to use another software Hindsite which is great for irrigation but not for lawn maintenance. Clip need to develope a better scheduling program. For example there is no easy way to know if appointment are located near another customer at time of call. Hindsite color code calender days tell you which customer is the closes to the call. This is extreemly usefull. I would love to talk to your developer to explain further.

Joe, I would love to hear some of the scheduling features that are important to your company for irrigation. We do have very powerful scheduling for reoccuring jobs, but are currently working on our one time job scheduling features.

Pros

Its easy to use in itself. Keeps tract of time very easily so tracking efficiency is very easy which is a very important thing to track in our business.

Cons

We have used CLIPxe for years. When the data was transferred we lost a lot of the fields that we customized over the years and lost that functionality so we went back to CLIPxe. Also some data that did transfer was in the wrong fields.

Overall, the transfer was very difficult and reaching out to get the help I needed was sometimes a challenge. Things are better now.

Pros

It's fairly easy to use. I had some difficulty with the transfer from the old version to the new, but it all seems to working out good now.

Cons

There's not a whole lot that I do not like about this software. It works well for this type of business.

Pros

It was perfect for a company starting to hire employees and simplify routing.

Cons

It did not seem to translate well to a company of more than 25 employees.

n/a We use Clip Desktop and wanted to switch to something that was web-based. This is not the answer

Cons

Functionality and ease of use. CLIP Desktop, although isn't "pretty" to look at, has great functionality. We are able to run two businesses out of the Desktop version no problem.

I like that CLIPitc is in the cloud. The report functionality is great as well, with may upgrades over CLIPxe.

Cons

I do not like that there is no project capability. We utilize this function in CLIPxe extensively so this keeps us from making the switch.

I've used they base Clip Desktop for years. Support is poor, fixes break other parts of the system and they'll blame your computer. Functionally the desktop version is ideal for a lawn care company. Unfortunately, it is built on a database that Microsoft is literally going to erase. It was at end-of-life in 2014. And Clip hasn't sent out an update to the desktop product since 2014. Yet they will happily sell it to you. If MS does a security update that stops it from working there is no guarantee that it will ever work again. If you are looking for desktop software stay away from this!

Nothing. I would not suggest to use clipitc

Cons

ClipItc when we used it wasn't helpful. It took forever to load the work bank and posting was a nightmare. It just wasn't built for how large of a company and workload we had. ClipXE is much better.

Easy to use, web based, can put much more information in the system about the customer. Tracking expenses and customer number is much better

Cons

A little different from Clip, too many different areas to find the same info.
