EZClaim provides a straightforward and functional billing solution that is particularly well-suited for small to mid-sized medical practices. Operational Challenges Limited Automation: Many processes (e.g., follow-ups, advanced reporting) require manual handling. Basic Interface: The system design is functional but lacks modern usability enhancements.

Easy to Use (Beginner-Friendly), Cost-Effective for Small Clinics,Faster Claims & Payments.Excellent Customer Support: Support staff are described as knowledgeable, responsive, and dedicated to solving issues promptly. I had a dedicated team member that gave me their number for any troubles and we still keep in contact after they left the team.

Cons

Basic User Interface (Outdated Feel). Not fully integrated with Practice Fusion. When patient demo updates are made in Practice Fusion the office has to make the biller aware so it can also be updated in EzClaim. If there is a name or DOB correction Ezclaim creates a duplicate account. That becomes a known issue and make you have to do double the work. Then turn around and resubmit the claim that now cost extra to fix and resend.

While the current system is functional, it falls short of the standard required to remain competitive in today’s rapidly evolving environment. Significant operational improvements are necessary to enhance customer satisfaction, because without them, clients will inevitably migrate to organizations that offer more reliability, transparency, and partnership. The healthcare revenue cycle is becoming increasingly competitive. AI is transforming many industries, but in medical billing, the technology is not yet accurate enough to replace clearinghouses, certified coders, or experienced billers. Human oversight remains essential due to regulatory complexity, payer variability, and the high financial impact of errors. However, for human expertise and technology to work together effectively, the organization’s infrastructure must align with both client needs and the expectations of partners like TriZetto. Progress cannot happen when the approach is “take it or leave it.” That mindset weakens trust, damages long‑term relationships, and ultimately harms the organization’s reputation. True growth comes from listening to clients, collaborating on solutions, and adapting internal processes to meet modern industry standards. Organizations that embrace partnership—not rigidity—are the ones that stand out, retain clients, and thrive in a competitive, AI‑driven world.

Pros

It’s a web‑based platform that’s intuitive, user‑friendly, and easy to navigate, especially for new clients who may be unfamiliar with the system. The layout is straightforward, the functions are clearly labeled, and the learning curve is minimal, which helps clients get up to speed quickly and operate with confidence.

Cons

The price is a bit high compared to other markets. Many bugs are still occurring and have not yet been resolved. The statement freeze bug has been ongoing for a while, and if it happens on the weekend, you will have to wait until Monday for any assistance. At times, there can be a delayed response when urgent help is needed. Some support tickets have gone unanswered, so I need to follow up again. I've encountered numerous issues with ERA, including transactions not being processed correctly, putting me in a difficult position with my clients. I have contacted Trizerro three times about lowering my subscription as a small business, but the answer has always been no. There seems to be no consideration for clients like me, who have been loyal since the beginning. I believe that long-term clients should receive better pricing when they reach out to negotiate their monthly subscription. Overall, the service has been very unstable and slow lately.

I have been using EZClaim for many years and have always been very satisfied. The layout for a small billing practice is perfect. Information is clear and relevant to my needs. I can generate reports to my providers giving them essential information about their patients and practices.

Pros

Ease of use is the most important item. It helps to make my practice run smoothly and time efficient. I have looked at other programs in the past and find EZClaim the best value for the money. It gives me the exact information I need in clear, easy to understand format.

Cons

Not much! Any glitches are dealt with quickly and efficiently. I have never encountered an issue that wasn't quickly resolved.

EZClaim is specific to my behavioral health billing practice. I don't need to integrate EHR. I worked with a provider who used Tebra (Kareo) and while I tried to learn that system for the billing end, it was very complicated and confusing.

The support in ezClaim is great. I feel like I get assistance and answers quickly. I am able to very easily see all of my data and also have reports that can show almost anything!

Pros

I could not be happier with ezClaim! As a billing company I love the ease of having multiple clinics in one application. The ability to easily search all claim and service line data is fantastic. I use this feature multiple times per day. I have been using ezClaim for about 5 years and haven't seen a software since that I think is better; and I have been on many demos with new clients. So many software systems just get too complicated and fancy. I love the ease and simplicity of ezClaim.

Cons

It works well importing claims from Practice Fusion as a EHR, but a downfall for sure for many clinics is that it isn't an all in one.

Absolutely the best customer service of any software I've ever used, excellent training and tech support. As a biller this is my #1 favorite accounting program!

Pros

As a biller I am absolutely thrilled with the capabilities of this software. Using spreadsheet style "cells" throughout the program you can easily search for items, or edit bulk items in just a few easy steps. This is absolutely the best billing program I've used. Claim friendly, biller friendly and integrates with a number of different programs!

Cons

I do wish that there was a patient portal, where patients could actually view their entire statement, print receipts, or send questions. It bothers patients that they are sent a link to make payment but they can't actually see what the balance is for. The calendar is not practice friendly either.

Overall, I have nothing but positive words to say about EZClaim. From navigating billing, payments, and even addressing support tickets, the whole team has been great and supportive

Pros

EZClaim is very user-friendly and streamlines the majority of the billing process through its built-in automations. Its ability to integrate and communicate with other software systems has been especially valuable. We were even able to develop our own EMR and seamlessly import claims into EZClaim without difficulty.

Cons

Its reporting features can feel somewhat clunky, and the reports could be more intuitive and easier to read.

I have used many EMR systems, this is by far, the best program ever!! It is efficient, user friendly, and an all around fantastic program

Pros

The pricing is lower than any other EMR that I have found. It is user friendly for sure. If you know how to use Windows, then you can teach yourself EZClaim! The customer service is fantastic and any help you ever need, there is always someone there quickly!

Cons

I cannot think of a thing I do not like! Wait, yes I can. I guess for me, it was time consuming in the very beginning. You have to enter all your practice information, to include, all provider information, procedure codes and diagnosis codes. That could be different now, I do not know.

Our billing company has been using EZClaim since 2008. Very happy with the system design, and support. Every requirement that we, or our clients had EZClaim billing and EZClaim Scheduler were able to accommodate.

Pros

Software features fit our, and our clients' needs. Scheduler and Billing apps are connected, and functioning well together. Support is knowledgeable and responsive, just outstanding. Ability to create 837 and process 277, 835 EDI file for direct exchange with payers.

Cons

https://portal.ezclaim.com is useful for providers to access their schedule, but it is neglected by EZClaim. Inability to access or slowness are often reported by the users. Microsoft Azure.... Issues and outages that are outside of EZClaim control. Hope EZClaim reviews and improve their infrastructure and architecture. Reporting is robust, but reports still look like they where created in 1990s.

### "Great medical billing software that fits all needs"

Overall experience has been very positive. Easy to customize and get going. Support is very responsive. Our system is hosted by EZClaim and we've never had to deal with an outage from EZClaim. Priced very reasonably. Have been using almost 10 years and would recommend to others.

Pros

The software is very customizable. We have multiple departments that all bill differently, yet EZClaim is able to meet the needs of each one. The import options are also great; we have multiple EHR systems that we export from and into EZClaim and the software is able to handle it. It can be hosted on-premise or by EZClaim.

Cons

Our environment is hosted directly by EZClaim. Staff use RDP to connect into the hosted environment. I wish the security behind the remote connection was more strict as there is a lack of two factor authentication to connect.

I am satisfied with the usefulness of system to our business and would be lost without it. I would love a system to find out what types of things we are not using but could.

Pros

I like the easiness of uploading and sending out the claims to all the carriers. I would like to start using the system to also upload the payments and learn some of the things that I do not know. It is a subsidiary for our accounting program and provides us with a true rule of business and patient portal.

Cons

I know there is more I do not know and wish there was a training system to learn from, I fill like we do not use it to its full potential for our business.

Cons

EZClaim has been great for our billing company. The software is very easy to learn and use. The onboarding team was great and very helpful to get everything set up. The pricing is a reasonable and a value for what they offer. Customer service is attentive and responsive.

Pros

The ease of use, value for money, customer service is easy to access and responsive. Very little bugs or issues. Onboarding team helped our team get set up and ensured everything was running smooth. Support is easy to access and get responses.

Cons

It can be a little difficult to get someone on the phone for help but the responsiveness via email makes up for it.

Our overall experience with EZClaim has been very positive. EZClaim is easy to install and integrates well with our EMR. Occasionally an account is duplicated but that is a quick fix.

Pros

What I like best about EZClaim is the ease of integration with our EMR which allows for the streamlining of our billing and accounts receivable.

Cons

What I like least about EZClaim is that we are a very small, one provider, private pay only, medical practice and would appreciate a scaled down package for our size. We do not use EZClaim's features to the full extent (such as insurance claim billing) so a reduced rate for the size of our practice would be appealing.

Fairly easy to use. It is frustrating as the administrator that I cannot reset the passwords for my staff, especially given that we have multiple employees cycling through.

Pros

I like that it is easy to use as I have a lot of rotating staff and turnover at our front office. I That it is now a cloud based service and I do not have to be onsite to access the database as I work in a different location.

Cons

Cannot build custom reports. Cannot have two instances open at once. Cannot hide/remove fields that do not apply to our practice. That a claim does not open to the date field and to the POS field. I would also like to be able to build out the statements in different formats and what I call our superbill in scheduler. I would love if I could sync scheduler with Gmail.

I like the ease of training and staff for end users. I also believe that EZ Claims has been a great value for the cost.

Cons

Historically, there wasn't anything that I did not like about EZ Claim. Recently, I would have to say customer service has fell below their typical standard.

Pros

Easy to follow/learn. When I have needed assistance, the staff at EzClaim is very helpful and they get back to me in a timely matter.

Cons

I really don't have any negatives about EZClaim. I have been working with it for 5 years. I have had to figure out many things with it using the online help and have had good success. Our claims are easy to sent and get back.

Overall, I like the system, and I have been able to learn and effectively use it relatively easily. I don't use all the features as they aren't pertinent to my job but the ones I use work well.

Pros

I am able to submit my claims without problem and, if there's a problem with the claim, I am able to see exactly what the problem is and correct it as necessary. I also like that I am able to leave myself detailed notes to refer to in each claim. I also really love the responsiveness of the help team. When I ran into a big problem I couldn't figure out, I got to have a video call with a support team member which helped me a lot.

Cons

It took me a while to learn some of the features I use. However, I will say that once you know what you're doing, it's an easy system to use. Also, I have had some difficulty locating the help I need in the help section and have sometimes resorted to an internet search or YouTube.

Pros

It is very user friendly. The system is easy to navigate around. Sending out claims and posting payments has never been easier.

Cons

I wish they had more options for different types of reports. I also wish they was an easier way to post refunds to patient accounts.

Awesome Experience. I love the program. It is very user friendly and when you have a question you call the 800 number and someone helps you with the issue and they are so helpful that you never forget.

Pros

I love the simplicity of the program. The IT department is very professional, personal and helpful when I have any issues with EZClaim.

I have no issues. I love how it works for me. The IT Department is so very helpful I never have a negative thought about it.

overall experience is 7/8/10. if the suggestions I gave were updated than definitely could make it a 8.3/10.

Pros

Very user friendly for what needs to be done for a small company. The reports are very useful as well.

Cons

It could have some improvements, like being able to search an account by state would help a lot. pdfs also do not need to be viewed on the software so having the option to opt out of that question could help too.

After our system crashed we needed help. Being so used to our old system, it was a challenge to start anew. Everyone that has helped was very patient, and walked us through slowly to help us understand. Whenever I needed help, it was a phone call away!

Pros

It is user friendly. Training was great. Had all our questions and issues answered. Very helpful staff.

Cons

The print on the website was very small. Was not able to make it any bigger. Would like more report options.

My overall experience with EZClaim has been wonderful. The customer service representatives have always been able to resolve my problems within a short amount of time. They are always pleasant and friendly. If resolving my issues was going to take longer than expected they aways kept me informed of the process. I did not have to guess about a solution.

Pros

It has been a very easy system to utilize. I have always enjoyed the easy of logging in. The system always lets us know when there is going to be an update.

Cons

The thing I liked least about EXClaim was being unable to login while the system is being update. I know that is not something that can be changed but I find myself needing to login during these times but I understand.

EZClaim is very user friendly. I have used multiple billing software and this has an easy flow for insurance collections.

Cons

The posting of ERAs that have to be manually posted if the patient has made a payment prior to the ERA comes in.
