We switched to this software a year ago and it changed our lives!!! (For the better of course). This software helped us stay so organized and efficient. We ran a live and silent auction, a mega raffle, and more. We were able to create tables / groupings of similar items ahead of time - making set up so easy. We tried to adapt to other school events, but found it cumbersome for those. Pros Customizable auction items, ability to create and track auction items, including sign-ups Cons Unable to edit payment once submitted. If a check number or check amount was accidentally entered, payment needed to be voided and resubmitted, which resulted in duplicate listings in the payment type summary. " September 13, 2017 4.0 Pros That they added the mobile bidding option! They also have excellent customer service. Problems are bound to arise, and questions are answered in a timely fashion. Furthermore, they have some great tutorials. Cons At times it's a little clunky if you aren't used to where items are located. A thorough base of Email Templates, cataloging ease and ticket sale ease. Common filters and customize buttons were helpful. Cons The dessert dash should be a separate entry and not as a "voting". Guests just wanted to add their own price. The "buy it now" button is way too close to where a guest enters their bid thus resulting in them buying it now accidentally. Also, guests should be able to say whether they want to put a max bid in OR choose to do increments; not either or option. Some guests could not vault their cc, even though their zip code matched. For ease of entering of items, it would be great to enter the donor info right at the catalog item tab and not separate. Donors tab could be used for monetary donors, underwriters etc. Initial training via virtual meetings felt short and abrupt. Review Source MH Michelle H. Organizer Used the software for: ### "Has what you need now, and what you realize you need later, with great support and a great cost" April 1, 2015 5.0 I have used School Auction.net for 3 years now, and have recommended it to 4 other non-profit organizations for their fundraising events. You can get up and running in minutes with a simple design template, or you can add your own html & css if you're motivated and know how to do web design & coding. A big plus is that they allow you to pick your credit card processing, avoiding expensive transaction fees found with other bidding service software services. SA.net provides all of the reporting and features you need for ticket sales, event seating, Live auction, silent auctions, fund-a-need, raffles, item sales, and easy exporting to excel and word for data analysis and letters to donors. SA.net has made upgrades which made the software even easier to use with features such as self check-in and check-out to minimize lines and frustration at your event. Plus, they have training and support to get your program and volunteer team up to speed quick. The only feature they don't have is the ability to style the bid sheets, description sheets, etc. but with so much to do in a fundraiser, this is not critical. Review Source LF Leslie F. I don't see how you could put on an auction without it! Some ramp up, to begin with, but once you have the basic setup done, everything else is easy. Migrating from one year to the next means you only have to do the setup once. Customer Service is excellent. Volunteer Used the software for: ### "Superb Software and Support" December 10, 2016 5.0 Our all volunteer organization runs an auction once a year. We switched to schoolauction.net this year and could not be happier with our decision. In the past check in and checkout resulted in long, long lines. This year was the total opposite and attendees complimented us on the lack of any lines. The software is intuitive and easy to understand. The help via videos and support dialogue is at your fingertips on the screen. Staff respond to questions always within less than 10 minutes! And the staff send you emails with reminders of what needs to be done and check the site prior to your event to let you know if it is set up correctly. This software is practically "plug and play". Highly recommend this, especially for volunteers who use it occasionally during the year. It has been a delight to use! I have already recommended it to two other groups. Pros Software is intuitive and easy to use. Help is at your fingertips while you are working on a specific screen. Response time to any question is an unbelievable 10 minutes. Pros This website makes it very easy to run and auction event, even if you have never done so before, and has all the tools you need. Cons Some things are hard to figure out how to do them/ where they are on the website but the staff is very helpful. Then, we started using schoolauction.net. 1st event, YES! an all-in-one database. Definitely a learning curve, but the positive results far outweighed the negative. Assistance/help from Roger Devine and his crew is always just an e-mail or phone call away; and response time is almost immediate. We perform all of our annual fundraiser functions through web based schoolauction.net; i.e., solicitation database, added to and migrated from event to event; donor database; auction database which includes managing all auction items; guest and ticket/bidder number database; guest check in and check out; payments; invoicing and receipts; print materials; clean up and reports. Everything required to accomplish the multitude of individual pre-event tasks is available at this one site; which can be customized to meet your individual needs, and includes written and video event-night volunteer training. I can then just go in and and customize the information for our event. Cons In the past, it was sometimes confusing to set up the ordering back-end, since our needs were so unique. Pros What I enjoyed most about this software was the ease of use and how much it helped us organize a school auction to raise money for our PTA. It was so simple to load data into, a real time saver! February 1, 2015 5.0 Our Athletic teams hold an annual auction consisting of hundreds of donations from $10 to $5,000. We utilize a live auctioneer, silent auctions, door-prize-style games, carnival-type games and just stuff for sale. Hundreds of items are coming in from 20 different teams and the cash from these auctions must be accurately tracked and applied to each team. During and especially at the end of the night, hundreds of guests want to smoothly and quickly pay for their items by cash, check or credit card without hours of waiting or coming back another day. The hardware and software for all of these logistics are handled efficiently through SchooAuction.net! The software itself has helped us think through the various processes to insure accurate records for the 20 teams and happy, returning customers bidding on all these items. 2015 will be our third year to use SchoolAuction.net and I happily recommend it. It's a complicated set up but the school auction software makes it easy and so user friendly. And I can email every event attendee a receipt before they even get home! Our past two events have been seamless thanks to this software. Looking forward to the new features they've added for this year. Pros I like how easy and clear the instructions are. I love the customer service, and I love that they have roots in building their business from the ground up as parent volunteers just like us, who filled a need based on their own demand! In prior years it had been done very manually. My team and I loved the software and the efficiencies it introduced. It was a unanimous decision to continue to use it! I was so nervous auction night. I knew all the software was great, but I had never actually run an event on it. By the end of the night, I was just sitting back and watching it happen. No more running around and hand adding numbers. People checked in, placed their bids, we recorded, they paid. Wow. Pay the fee. Follow their training. Watch it work! Pros \*Simplified our once all-manual labor auction process (data entry, registration, check-out, etc.) \*Flat rate. No percentages taken from our profits. \*Outstanding customer support. Cons I wouldn't consider this necessarily a negative, but it is important to remember that: you do not have someone coming to your auction to run it.
