They will bend over backwards to help you fine tune their product to meet your needs and then continue that same service with excellent customer support! I would recommend them to any fundraising group. The reports generated from the SchoolAuction.net/Garris Chapel site for our annual fundraiser will help us make it even more successful in 2011. Thanks again. Pros The input is calculated in realtime. The reports are very detailed. Is user friendly. Existing data was transferred seamlessly by company. Customer support is superb. " February 1, 2015 5.0 I have used Schoolauction.net for auctions and art shows (for point of sale software) now between three different schools for the last 8 years and the product just keeps getting better and easier to use. Planning a benefit auction is complicated; it's often done by volunteers with little event or computer experience; and often done by people juggling busy lives. This software is clearly designed for multiple users to work together from start to finish and with all the auction-specific tasks in mind. Data entry flows easily; reports are easy to build and very helpful; the built in tutorials and support make it easy for even a beginner to use. The print outs are exactly what we need to pull off a successful event. I cannot imagine trying to organize an auction without it. Review Source DM Danni M. This software does it all, and it lets you customize fields, which makes almost anything possible. It saves so much time, and does the work for you, including thanks, tax letters, old receipts when people inevitably lose theirs. Usually, they already have one in their inbox somewhere. Anyway- also great, the portal for ticket sales, reminders to guests about the who/what/where etc. I've had a few times I couldn't find some feature, and when I emailed the tech support, had a solution same day. Have used other softwares for auction, this one is far and away the best. I've chaired probably 25 auctions in the last 20 years, so seen quite a few approaches. This one is the best. December 21, 2016 5.0 After using an overly complicated auction software for a couple of years, SchoolAuction.net was such a refreshing change for us last year! It's very volunteer-friendly, but powerful enough to do everything we needed. The event night portion was a breeze and I was able to train our volunteers in less than 10 minutes. I also loved that all the credit card processing was online so I didn't have to batch process the credit cards the next day. I look forward to using the software at our next event! It was able to do almost everything we needed it too. Wish there was a column for entering raffle ticket Numbers as the gaming commission requires so much documentation we had to keep a seperate spreadsheet for that. The customer service was excellent and was able to satisfactorily answer every question. Only complaint would be to have a phone number for quick and/or lengthy issues when emailing is a difficult option. The event night went smooth. No major issues just a few little ones that were easily dealt with. All of my volunteers were extremely pleased with the ease of us. I would highly recommend this product. Review Source HW Heidi W. Easy to enter items and bunch together as lots. Problems: When I went to print all my bidder sheets, it would only print the first 20 or so and then print blank sheets. So I had to print them all one by one. I like to put my bidder sheet on top and my description sheet underneath so my runners keep track of the items to bring to the customers. So now I know to also put in the description in the Name portion of the donor item input. That way it shows up to the silent auction bidder also. It would be nice to have an option to add description to the bidder sheet. Otherwise, thank you! It was worthwhile and we will be contacting you for next year! Pros This product is a great feature for those looking to add something extra to their fundraisers! It is very simple to use and add items. The online bidding is nice! It's made an amazing difference for us! Pros Hey we are loving our new Tolfino software, it worked so well for our auction and talk about a fantastic improvement for us and our patrons during registration and closing, and again with reporting afterwards, so easy and very stressfree! " August 22, 2015 4.0 We used this software to process payments for our walkthrough registration day (so annual giving campaign, t-shirt and yearbook sales, etc. After processing payments we sent the users an email receipt. It was very frustrating that there is no acknowledgement that the email has been sent. We got acknowledgement that the payment had been processed but not that the email had gone through. Also, we have heard that for some reason a few Hotmail email addresses did not receive the emailed receipt. We confirmed the email addresses and hit send (multiple times in some cases) but they didn't get through to Hotmail (the users checked their spam folders too...they were not there either. The first year we used the website, we raised almost twice as much as we had in the previous year! It is very well thought out. You can tell the creators have run an auction before. They even provide ideas on how to creatively make more money at your auction. Their customer service is very good. I always hear back from them within an hour. And they have tons of information on their website that can be used to help you plan and troubleshoot. Our parents at our school find their website to be very user-friendly as well. They make our lives easier......." April 5, 2016 4.0 Tofino is super easy to use, customer services is beyond amazing and the program has great support and tutorials to help everyone along the way. My only complaint, which I'm sure they will fix when they hear about it because that's how awesome they are, is that if we are selling items along with tickets, it assigns a "soft" bidder number. This causes some confusion at check in because folks who have looked online ahead of time, think this is their bidder number and start using it. Not a big deal, we caught it early, but this is the first year we have had items for sale with tickets prior to the event and that's what happened. :) Other than that, they are amazing! Most is very easy to use. Online documentation is helpful but I found that some of it is hard to wade through. I've seen much improvement over the three years I have used the software as the auction coordinator. The direct support that I have received as a result of sharing my problem via email, has been excellent. I have found that the personnel has stuck with me until I get the problem resolved. The site may look a bit overwhelming because it is packed with lots of great tools & resources, but don't let that dissuade you. The system is actually very easy to use, and did everything we needed it to. It took 10 minutes to train our staff on the night of our Auction, and they were off & running! Really can't say enough good things. And we loved the Online Auction function to clear things out after the event. We will use it again & again! The support team is super. They are very responsive to your requests for "help." Initially, we had an issue directing the money to the appropriate credit card gateway account with Vanco. School Auctions.net went the extra mile and worked with Vanco to resolve this issue for us and their other Vanco clients. Auctions are a huge undertaking with a myriad of administrative details. Pros I loved that payment was easy, checking in was easy, and reports were easy. Cons The price of this software is EXTREMELY TOO HIGH. We only need it for 1 evening and I think the price should be about $500...no higher. I tried to negotiate the price but was only given a $100 discount, which helped but was still a HIGH price for us to pay. Also, I would love a barcode scanning option. March 11, 2015 5.0 We subscribed to SchoolAuction less than 2 months before our large annual "Gala" event (250+ attendees) and found it easy to use and very helpful. We registered guests, collected profile data, ran live and silent auctions, etc. The training videos and on-site help is great, and the support staff (both pre-event and "day of") is willing and able as well! Check-in and check-out (using multiple laptops simultaneously), post-event reporting, and making changes "on the fly" were all very manageable.
