Used the software for: ### "Comprehensive care that's even better ROI than your auctioneer" March 23, 2016 5.0 As a first-time auction chair, I found SchoolAuction to be easy and intuitive to use, but detailed enough to be robust against all the surprises that happened along the way. Their online resources were amazingly helpful, and they provided great support for the night of the auction as well. A key example of how much they care: we get an email a few weeks before the event explaining that they do regular check-ups and tests of our event software to make sure everything is going well, and they had found that we weren't equipped to handle a certain credit card. February 1, 2015 5.0 We found this software to be invaluable in putting on a successful auction. From the website to the registration/check in interface, the ease of use for our attendee was superb. On the administrative side, the things you could add and edit were a perfect fit for our auction needs. The only issue I came across was the report feature was not as intuitive as I would have liked when using the software for something other than an auction. Each year they have improved the software to add more functionality. They have wonderful customer service. As this is my second year running our event I have a better idea on what we want and need. I researched other options this year and came back to schoolauction.net. The features they offer vs the competition are on point but the largest selling point for me was the flat price. We have been very impressed with the ease of use and constant upgrades that actually improve it rather than just driving one crazy. Customer support is great -- helpful AND patient. Our volunteers are active partners in this event and find the software to work wonderfully as well. Just last week, a volunteer who had never used it before learned the basic functions in just a few minutes and only had to ask a few questions. I recommend SchoolAuction.net. Their customer service is EXCELLENT! Questions are answered immediately, either verbally or in writing! The you tube training videos are helpful as well. Having a web-based program is brilliant. It enables program access from any computer, phone, tablet etc..., from any location, at any time of day. The schoolauction.net family cares about the success of their clients and it shows! Its best feature is that the customer service is excellent and the YouTube videos and Help screens are clear and user-friendly. Pros Has all the functions that you'd generally need, and very good customer service. Cons It is not as user-friendly as it could be -- the interfaces and visuals are good but a bit outdated. Every year the product has made impressive improvements. Staff and volunteers all commented who used the software shared that this year's experience was especially good thanks to the video support, evening of support from school auction, and the all around user friendliness of the site. It was very easy to use and did everything we needed it to do (and more!) Our audience was ready for the ease of online RSVP and payment. Support is very helpful and responds quickly, and the self help pages are also very good. Customizations are possible you need them. The customer service is prompt, helpful and courteous (if you ever need it). The credit card and online sales is easy to set up and collect. We will be using their software again for this year's auction. Our volunteers were very pleased with the system, and it is easy to use once you've completed the initial training. I do wish the forms were available for download in a format other than Word (Mac users, here), but School Auction's customer support is excellent and they have helped us work around this.
