Pros I like that it combines all our accounting related stuff as well as does payroll, allowing us to save a lot of time. Cons The newest updates are causing it to move very slowly and are very glitchy. Takes a least 2-3 times longer to do things than it did before. It helps keep information organized. It is user friendly. Pros It is a great way for us to keep track of billing for our customers. We own an HVAC company and we use quickbooks online to send estimates, invoices, and collect electronic payment. It is easy to use. Cons I can't have customers sign contracts via quickbooks but other than that we have zero complaints about it. I have been fortunate to have internal support to code changes when QB makes updates that affect my reporting. Pros QuickBooks Online is an easy product to start using and there are benefits of being online. You can access QB from any computer so if you are on the go or you don't work in one place all the time, it's helpful. Cons Customer Support and updates would be my issue with the online version. They will make updates without telling you what they changed and there is nobody to talk with directly about the changes. They do not document the changes so their technical team doesn't know who changed what. Pros QuickBooks Online is the most robust online accounting tool that I have ever used. I have integrated QBO with external platforms like PayPal which streamlines the entire process of reporting, invoicing and payment gateway. Cons Apart from lack of offline access capability, I do not have any other issue that I encounter when using QuickBooks Online mainly on the go.
