I could be able to go to the particular report of selected transactions and reconcile contrary to doing it afresh if there are some complications and errors which you have to correct. Cons AccountsPortal does not support the feature of making payment in batches for suppliers invoices. Every bill had to be processed separately, which proved very tedious when dealing with end of the month expenses through various vendors selected. I was very lucky to save a lot of time, when using AccountsPortal. I say that the running billing options were especially effective in handling repeat customers with virtually no input needed. Cons The only thing that I had an issues with was that this software does not support auto integration with banks. This gave me the less impression compared to other platforms I used to upload bank statements in which I had to do it weekly. It keeps things simple and maybe for large businesses it is a different story but for small to medium sized companies it is perfect. Pros The system is so so simple to use and performs all the minimum requirements for us. The invoices section is great to create one off as well as repeat invoices, and the reporting provides us with the tools to identify those who have not settled. The digital VAT functionality is superb with easy use of the software to submit VAT to the HMRC. Cons Needs an overhaul - I have seen no changes in the last few years and the pages look a bit dated. I know it may be off topic but if it also had a payroll section this would be a one stop shop! I especially like been able to manage all our accounting needs in one place and with it been online it means I am able to access it anywhere I can get internet which is very important for out company. Cons I do wish there was support for multiple currencies bit aside from that I have no complaints about the software. Accounts Portal is simple enough so that an "Accounting Dummy" like me can use it, and complete enough so that our Accountant can do his job. Did I mention that in addition to it being the best for our purposes, it is also the least expensive. I wouldn't hesitate to pay twice as much for it. Pros We spent 3 years searching for bookkeeping software that would suit our needs. Everything else came up short, and many of them were too expensive to justify for our needs. Then we found Accounts Portal in 2014 and haven't looked back. It fulfills all of our needs and more. Any of us can sign on and enter a new order or look up bank balances or anything else we need to do. There is something else even better than the software: The service. On the rare occasions I need help (maybe once a year) I get the answers and help that I need quickly, in ways that are easy for a non-accountant to understand and implement. Cons Central United States is 6 hours away from the UK, so tomorrow comes earlier, so when we get an order in the evening I have to remember to set the date back one day. We appreciate when companies are honest with us and tell us what we can expect - and then deliver on their promises. Pros Accounts portal just works, you don't need expensive training, just a good general understanding of accounting practice. The complete opposite of a system (S\*\*\*) that made my life a misery in teh past. Cons I haven't really got into automatic reconciliation of statements or producing my invoices through AccountsPortal. Some simple walk through videos to introduce them to me would be useful. Reasons for choosing AccountsPortal I didn't really want to go with a cloud solution, but a trail of AccountsPortal proved so easy to use compared to my previous experience of Sage, signing up was a no-brainer. We couldn't be happier. Pros We're big fans of AccountsPortal. Previously we used a bespoke system for generating our invoices which frequently needed updates and tweaks. Since switching to AccountsPortal (around 9 or 10 years ago) our regular and adhoc invoicing has been a breeze. We use it to send out statements and quotes too. In short, everyone's really happy. Pros Ease of use, updates are great too. As I run two businesses I found the ability to add another business very useful. Cons Quite often get an annoying error message saying error, when logging in but try again & you are in. Switched from [QuickBooks Time](https://www.capterra.com/p/151722/TSheets/) QB updated & lost us thousands in invoicing, we contacted them but they never apologised or rectified their mistake, we had to get our accountant to restore the invoices manually. which cost us a lot of money. Being able to import bank statements makes reconciliation a breeze. Cons My business default payment terms are 7 days net. Whilst I can state these terms on the invoices, I cannot customise the pay period breakdowns on the statement to reflect these terms.
