Comments: Five stars to this software for it's engaging, easy to navigate and user friendly interface. All the information that you need already accessible in just a few clicks away. And the best thing is that they also have a mobile version for our convenience.

Pros: I've been using workday in the office for quite some time now and I love how their software looks. You can upload your photo and customize your name. It is a software that usually deals with your information and HR concerns. The software is also helpful in looking for jobs requisition within the company, it can also help you check some employee profile, send messages across the management, check your benefits and it also shows your work history. it is an easy to use platform inside and outside the four corners of the office.

Cons: I have nothing bad to say but then the software resets easily. It is better if they'll just remove it because it is time consuming and a bit annoying if they'll log you out and you have to sign in again. It is time consuming to do those simple tasks again instead of continuously picking up what work you've left of.

Difficult to learn without paying for courses but still a solid option

Comments: I have only been using Workday for a few months. After taking all of the integration courses and starting to build integrations I am reasonably comfortable with the back end but no front end knowledge which is required to test at least the inbound integrations. Be prepared to spend days researching certain topics before coming up with answers. I recommend hiring a consultant to help in house developers learn the tools and functionality if you decide to go with Workday.

Pros: -Basic functionality for end users is intuitive and easy to use. -Lots of options for integration with third parties -Easy to use, custom, report capability with the option to expose reports as services (RaaS). -Fairly easy to learn and use add-in for Eclipse for complicated integrations (Workday Studio).

Cons: -Training is expensive and is basically required to do an implementation due to lack of available reference material. Recording the online training for future reference is not permitted -The workday community site is cumbersome (searches are not ranked according to relevancy and it can take many hours to find what you are looking for). Some workday studio components don't seem to be documented at all on the site. -Certain functionality and community information is only provided to "Workday Implementation partners" which makes it nearly impossible to implement in-house without paying to outsource some of the work to a workday partner. -Workday doesn't seem to have been built with performance in mind. Even with server side paging, reports and integrations are very slow. -Lots of "hidden features." This would normally be a bonus but more advanced tasks require the user to know exactly what to search for from the application's search feature. Most of the functionality of workday is hidden in search results and isn't intuitively exposed in the UI.

Workday makes it very easy to choose which benefits work best for your family and your needs.

Pros: I used workday benefits for over 7 years with a property management company that I worked for. Each year we would log into workday to view the current benefits available and choose which benefits worked best for our needs and our families, if any. IT was super easy to use. They would show you on workday side by side what benefits provided which coverages, and at what costs. You could even use a comparison to see which benefits were going to work best. It also showed all the different types of benefits the company offered such as medical, dental, 401k, LTD, STD, vision and what not. It was very clear what you were selecting and you had to double and triple confirm which benefits you selected. Also, once open enrollment was closed, there was a way, where if you had a qualifying life event, you could change your benefits. It was a very easy, straight forward program for us to use.

Cons: Sometimes while using the software, it would "hiccup" when switching between coverages and I would have to re log in and get to where I was. It was truly a mild issue which wasn't frustrating. This also my have had a LOT to do with the internet I was using and not the actual program itself...

Overall: I feel like worday is a great program to use. Especially if you have a large business and you want to deliver a wealth of information to all of your employees at their convenience vs. a time you want to select. The platform can also allow for users to access it from their own home PC's so they can truly do what they need to on their own time. As an employee, I felt like that was a great feature.

Pros: Workday Recruiting has taken our HR needs to the next level. Where can you you find a software that has the combination not just for your HR needs but for finance and planning as well. Each time I have board meetings at the bank, I feel secured that I can extract all the information I need from this software. It didn't just keep my work organized, but also gave me the ability to track data ranging from time sheets to expenses which is what I basically needed. I'm so glad we invested in this software which has lightened my workload in half.

Cons: My only pet peeve with this software is when you encounter an error while posting a job opening, you'll need to redo the whole thing again. Unless I am missing something, there is no option to resubmit, but it makes you start the entire process all over again.

Pros: I use workday as a end user in my orgination.In workday what i like most is helps to maintain transparency between management and lower employee.In workday any employee can see full hierarchy of his/her organization so their is no hide and seek between management and employee.Employee can see his all year performance,his role in organization detail ,his profile,training,skill everything in one single place.and for company also it is easy to track each single employee detail like performance,skills,work history.

Cons: I dont find any thing which I dont like in workday as it make transparency in organization so I will suggest to organization to use workday so it increase employee's trust on organization which is very necessary for any organization.

Overall: it is awesome.

Pros: I like the ease of entering time worked and the time off request policies. That system works very well for my colleagues and I am able to revise entries and easily submit it to my supervisor. Sending reminders to everyone about updating info in workday is another good feature that we utilize often. It is also nice to have the quicklinks feature as it makes things easier to find in a time crunch. The payroll feature has been useful to me as well, I like being able to go back and see past checks.

Cons: The process can be tedious. Whenever I make a change, it goes through upper management. The goals and self appraisal process were also very confusing. There were multiple steps and I didn't see why it needed to be that way. They should've just made everything available online instead of us having to upload a word document of our goals and appraisals.

Overall: Having so many people in the company, it is very time consuming to manage HR related things for everyone on top of having new recruits. It is easily accessible for the current employees (can't say much for the new employees). I can access and make changes at home or at the office.

Pros: workday platform overall its one of the best tools available in the market these days, it allows you to configure your environment in the tool to adapt it to your business needs, what I like the most is the capabilities to filter information from candidates and allows you to create a pool of candidates that can be slice and diced according to your needs in your organization, the reporting modules are self service oriented, so you can easily create your reports and kpi to track the effectiveness of your recruiters, there is no single piece of data that this tool is not tracking about your candidates, if you feed it properly and configure it according to your needs it will help you and increase your productivity amazingly.

Cons: Workday costs are high, is not suitable for a small company, the cloud technology they offer os great but it comes with a cost.

Overall: its great experience so far, once you get the idea of the google like experience when using the tool its super simple to use. its a game changer in our organization in the most positive way

Pros: I do not think there is a better payroll software out there. Workday Payroll software allows users of all levels of business to submit time sheets in a matter of seconds. No more physical punch cards or tacky spreadsheets. I love the fact that I can have this software as an application on my phone! I can literally correct mistakes, find manager information, or contact Workday Payroll right from my phone!

Cons: I wish that when submitting my time sheet, the software would send a notification straight to said manager instead of via email. Often I am left having to track down my manager and notify him or her of my current situation with my time sheet.

Overall: I am able to get into contact with my managers in seconds with this software. Also, I am able to finally put away my tacky spreadsheet and download this software for a smoother payroll experience. I am able to not worry about my Payroll anymore!

Excellent product to use for HCM, if the appropriate support model is in place for your organization.

Comments: Inadequate training, lack of internal SME resources, and an absence of a true guided vision/direction by leadership will result in an expensive and poorly received system. As such, an organization will be reliant on implementation partners or independents as consultants, supporting or re-implementing a failed system, which will be even more expensive.

Pros: Workday is leading edge technology and highly configurable.The UI is best in class. Integrations with most 3rd party systems are easy to configure and the delivered packaged integrations are superb.

Cons: An organization needs to ensure proper internal support for the system to function smoothly. Training and user adoption/communication is also key for acceptance. An organization must have the SME talent in-house to be successful.

Pros: Workday is one of the few software products that I use everyday and have no issues with or complaints. It is a good software that does what it says and your expectations are met. My company uses Workday Payroll to manage and track payroll for employees. It is accurate, functional and the interface is easy to use. The overall look is clean and easy to read and understand and yet it has a complexity that enables a wealth of data to be entered.

Cons: No cons for this product. Perhaps the only critique I could give as a con is the integration with ADP could be a bit easier. I tend to click on several links to get into the payroll system which is a little annoying when it opens three more windows and I already have eight or nine opened. However that is minor in comparison to the benefits.

Overall: Use it in business

Workday is the perfect platform for our organization.

Comments: An excellent platform for tracking employees and developing a globally manageable company structure.

Pros: The reports we need to run and easy and quick, and the supported hierarchies allow for easy tracking and global workforce management. Our key LMS and CRM softwares integrate flawlessly, allowing for pinpoint reporting and actual time data capture. The graphics and user experience are excellent.

Cons: It can be slow and difficult when accessing from phones/tablets. Our field service techs and sales reps often report issues when working abroad. This may have more to do with their connection/service issues, however it is still a headache I thought worth mentioning.

Pros: Graphical Interface - cool graphics is the only positive

Yes it integrates candidate data with HR (if you have Workday HR) but that benefit isn't worth the flaws

Cons: Workflow is too restrictive - nice in theory but you have to go back to you in-box to move the candidate to the next step

Offers take forever and if you make a mistake you have to resend to leader for approval

Everything is effective dated - if you have a recruiter who started after a req is opened they can't take action on a candidate who applied before that date (terrible for vacation coverage/new hire recruiters).

Can't search by candidate name (e.g. you are looking for John Smith - Names tha thave J or S in them come up in no particular order - also can't use the ATS as a sourcing database (we had a progressive sourcing team and they couldn't use it)

Recruiters in a high volume environment will hate it - it takes literally 4x the time to hire a candidate in the system. There are too many steps and flaws.

There are many more issues - My company met with Workday User Experience Leader and they listened to the feedback and in a year - no changes were made. These aren't configuration issues people - these are architectural design flaws. Run don't walk from this software - It's at least 5 - 10 years away from anything on the market.

You will impact recruiter morale in high volume recruiting shops. If you have very low volume recruiting then I guess you could live with it.

Reporting functionality is almost nil - doesn't come with any really useful canned reports - very limited.

Overall: integration w/ Workday HR - not enough benefit to outweigh the functional negatives

Pros: After my company switched to this tool it has been a positive experience since then.

Pros:-

1. UI - the user inteface is awesome and elegant

2. Ease of use - It is extremely self explainatory. it has been very smartly differenciated into categories

3. all the details can be easily accessed and manupulated

4. Ease of editing information from phones as well

5. Availability of fetching custom reports

6. Can search for anyone in the organisation for their details and understand the hierachy of the company

7. Goals are easily commentable for managers

8. Lot of training can be included under learning

Cons: Cons:-

Though workday has a very simple user interface some options are very difficult to find

1. Hard to edit data, difficult find the edit address and other data option, could be made little easier

2. Confusing sometimes which option is under which category if there could be a little summary under the categories on the home page that would help.

3. Less training avalable on workday

4. If anything need to be changed needs and approval from HR deparment or managers

Pros: - Very clean and easy to navigate UI, there are topics depending on what information you might be looking for - Easy to log and track hours worked and view paychecks - Easy to track and request time off - Can review company org structure easily - Can easily view information on your pay, time with the company, bonus information, and tax info.

Cons: Even though the UI is clean, there's some instances where I'll be trying to find a certain page, form, or piece of information and it isn't in an intuitive spot so you can waste alot of time trying to find one thing. I also dislike how sometimes when I submit a form and realize I made an error I can't go back and edit it.

Pros: Hands down the most clean and friendly UI. It's so easy to find what you're looking for because Workday has each category listed on the first screen, and from there is super easy to navigate to the topic you need to know about. I like how it's an all in one place for anything I need information on: time off, compensation, goal setting, and org. structure, to name a few. I have used this software at several jobs before and it's just so easy to pick up on.

Cons: I personally haven't had any issues for the couple years I've been a user of this software. I'd highly recommend it to a larger company looking for a HCM system.

Overall: Awesome all-in-one HCM tool for large companies.

Comments: Whenever the software wasn't working, I'd reach out to the company IT dept and they'd contact workday to resolve tech issues so I am not 100% sure how their customer support is but the software itself is great when it's working properly.

Pros: It has a very clean interface. Structured very well and has components for all sorts of HR needs, from viewing pay stubs, to leaving end of year reviews for managers to read over. Benefits like health and dental were available on this and easy to access as well, which is nice as an employee because it saves you the trouble of having to ask around for it. Getting your end-of-year tax forms from it was also easy, as everything is very organized.

Cons: When the software would act up, it wasn't easy to get a quick fix. Also, when leaving a review or some sort of task for upper management, the process in which you'd have to follow wasn't easy to follow. The save tab on pages wouldn't respond at times, which would prevent you from progressing on these work tasks when they're presented by management.

Pros: It does a great job at consolidating payslips and allowing easy access to payroll information from multiple years and paydays. It's web based and the user interface is adaptive; so it works well on mobile devices too, easy to access and can be integrated with the enteprise single sign on (SSO) infrastructure.

Cons: When a user wants to print a payslip this is automatically generated by a background process and it is not displayed immediately. Instead, the user is told that a notification will be received within their Workday UI when the file is ready for printing/download in PDF. Now the problem is that this file is dynamically generated with the same name, every time. So if you need to download all your payslips from a certain year, you'll find that you have to rename 26 different files to be able to find the right one you need later.

Pros: Overall user-friendly, though a learning curve needed to become familiar with the org-centric and business process-driven design. Also, the option to submit issues and questions (and find answers!) in Workday Community.

Cons: For the average end-user, there's a definite learning curve as it stands out from many HR software platforms of today. Vendors tend to assume implementation will be similar in Workday to other platforms, but there seems to often be a learning curve for them as well.

Pros: Most smoothest product i have used in Human Resources. This product has all the key points you require and user friendliness makes it more valuable to customers like us who look for products which can simplify their work and reduce the time waste while running payroll; handling grievances; or taking care of employee data. But it does need a lot of knowledge transfer from the seniors who knows Workday better.

Cons: Well it's a commercial product like Oracle and SAP and i would consider it is one of the best by far as it is on cloud so i don't have any cons for it you just need to have a really good internet connection.

Pros: Once it is up and running it is sophisticated.

Cons: Too expensive for smaller company and too difficult to understand at first.

Overall: Workday is a big system and not for a small Company. They are also expensive and use a ticketing customer service model so you can't just pick up the phone and call when you have an issue. Once you do put in a ticket it is a 24-72 hour turnaround before they even call back. They also charge by the hour for the service. If you want to make any changes to it, you have to be able to code at a certain level and then again, they charge you for everything. Including setting up Open Enrollment for Benefits to setting up Performance Management.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure to really inquire about the total cost of the product from implementation to customer service.

Pros: I love love love the WorkDay app. I use it to clock in and out everyday, as well as submit my weekly time card. It is easy and clear to use. Being able to look up my payslips by date, download and export them is especially helpful. It's also super easy to request and track your time off and sick time.

Cons: There are certain things that are only available to managers. For example, if time has already been submitted, you as an employee can not go in and adjust that time. This is especially frustrating when you just need to correct a simple mistake (you entered check in time as "PM" rather than "AM").

Pros: I love this product. We use it here at the corporate office and its great. I absolutely love the function where you can search for your coworkers title and it gives you a chart of their whole team. I also use it to request my days off, keep track of PTO and search for pictures when I would with someone at another site and want to put a face to a name. Its all around great!

Cons: Nothing that comes to mind at this time.

Pros: We moved onto Workday when we did not have a system in place previously. So there was a lot to consider and much work that needed to be done to set up system with our historical data (this was the biggest effort). However once we were set up on Workday, life was so much simpler for our HR department. Processes were followed, employees were more informed about their vacation and benefits information and we finally build the reports we needed to support our growing company!

Cons: I think all of the effort and consultancy hours we spent on delivering workday made this a very costly implementation. The processes of inputting our historical data was a bit chaotic, however Workday was with us all along the process and made sure we had a successful implementation and launch.

So glad my company switched to this, it makes everything so much easier!

Pros: Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to use. Love that it gives employees 24/7 access to any HR/Payroll issues.

Cons: Takes a little getting used to, especially for those not computer-savvy. It could better point someone to the right area when they've made an error.

Overall: More ease in hiring employees and giving them access to their information. We will be using the Recruiting platform soon which will make hiring even easier since it goes our applicant tracking for us.

Pros: The whole eco-system was great but I really liked the ability to incorporate feedback (from multiple stakeholders) into the reviews process as desired.

Cons: Certain inter-dependencies at times made it difficult to leverage all features - for example you need to implement WD- Recruiting to leverage certain functionality about internal posting, etc. Also, the timing of the upgrades can be challenging but I dont see a way around that since all users are on the same instance/version of the product. Really though they its a great product that is listening to its customers.

Pros: I am a designer and I can really appreciate when a company spends a little time and money on making an app aesthetic pleasing and usable. I log in and clearly know what i'm looking for.

Cons: Another app...I realize the beauty of capitalism is that anybody can compete with other companies. This isn't a knock on workday at all only that I wish I didn't have an app or payroll, a different app for benefits, a different app for this and that.

Overall: Overall though, I have had a positive experience with workday. I like that I can log in with my fingerprint and I can easily clock in and out and view paystubs.

The most intuitive and organized work expense method that I have used.

Pros: I've worked at a couple of large tech companies, and expensing things was always a hassle. At my newest job, I have to travel to some of our different locations for training, and I use workday for my expenses. I can easily upload my expenses, and have it approved by a manager, and get compensated very quickly. I love that Workday is available as an app on my phone as well, this makes it really convenient for me to always stay up to date, and log my expenses wherever I go. Expenses are only one of the features of workday I use, and this is a software that is very expansive . They also have 24 hour support, so they're really good at getting back to you if you need help.

Cons: I wish I had the ability to customize the layout of the interface. There are certain features I use more than others and I wish I could choose to remove things I don't use.

Overall: Workday is an intuitive and reliable software. I use it most for my expenses and it helps me report and keep financial expenses organized so I can get reimbursed in a timely and efficient manner. I know my management team loves it definitely makes the payroll department's lives much easier!

Pros: I like the fact that is a friendly user page and you can easily find the information that your looking for navigating without confusions.

Cons: At this time I don't dislike anything about this program.

Overall: I use it on a daily basis to have access to my performance numbers and algo goals and plans that I have to increase or maintain the percentage of my productivity. It also shows me all the yearly reviews submitted since I started with the company.

Pros: I use this fo my time card and it is great. It is really easy to enter your time card and submit it for approval. It is nice to be able to see my pay checks on my phone with app.

Cons: I don't like when I view my whole paystub on the app it gives me a notification online that I viewed the paystub on the app. I think it is dumb that they don't realize that it is me both times checking it.

Pros: All in one place use. This system really does let you bring everything into one place. It has lots of features and is very robust.

Cons: Very time consuming navigating. Needed to go through multiple pages to change and approve payroll. A lot of times going to the home screen was faster the navigat through pages.

Overall: Consolidating multiple areas of HR , personal information and payroll in one place.

I've been using the workday app for all my payroll and time card needs for work.

Pros: It's easy to use and it's so easy to navigate through the mobile site. It's so beneficial to be able to check my time card and look at my payroll information in the palm of my hands.

Cons: I don't like that I have to use my token app just to gain access to the site that links to my work account for payroll purposes. Not sure if it's maybe because of my company or if it's something that everyone has to do. Nonetheless it's inconvenient when I'm in a rush.

Overall: I use it almost all the time so I always know exactly what's going on when it comes to my payroll or time cards.

Workday has it all and it is so user friendly!

Comments: I loved working with this software, it made life in Recruiting so much easier!

Pros: It is clean and user friendly, the interface is not busy with too many things. It has everything you need in one place!

Cons: There are some things they haven't rolled out yet but I know they will have it on the roadmap soon. If they do have something but you haven't turned it on, they are very helpful in rolling things out.

Pros: It doesn't have any complicated menus, you can get whatever you want in just one click. We used it for checking our payslip, contact information, creating feedback, etc.

Cons: I understand that we need to use our SAFE (Secure Access for Everyone) credentials but this take too much time in logging in to Workday. Maybe it's easier if it's just your preferred email address instead.

Pros: Workday is incredibly easy to use - we use it frequently on my work team where we can set yearly goals to meet our annual compensation planning targets. You can set it up for your management team to receive notifications when goals are edited and completed, which makes discussions and comments immediate for feedback.

Cons: It's interface is a little clunky at times and when you edit goals you have to be careful to make sure the right one is selected, because sometimes it will change to another one if you change screens.

Overall: Immediacy for feedback among employees and employers. Great for goal setting and meeting compensation planning. You can create time specific goals with tons of space for descriptions and comments. We would be lost without Workday.

Comments: While adding to the implementation cost, I would recommend hiring a consultant to learn the tools and functionality.

Pros: Compared to other software for human resources, Workday has to be the best. It's so easy to navigate and the visuals (graphs, charts, etc) are wonderful.

Cons: At the beginning, the implementation and learning of the system can be a bit overwhelming. The software has a lot of features and tools that for the average end-user will require some time to learn and potentially even some training. There's definitely a learning curve.

Payroll solution, users can make multiple payroll calculations at any time,i am happy to using this.

Pros: Workday Payroll is one of the best payroll software achievable in the market right now. for human resource experts it will let them manage the payroll and finances more conveniently.Workday being a cloud software obviously avails its customers with a mobile version application which helps you work on the go

Pros: Reporting - almost limitless functionality in terms of getting reports on salient information. Can pull just about anything, and as long as the data is clean at point of entry, it will come out in an Excel file very readable and easy to read

Linear Process Maps - particular processes are very well laid out and structured if done right the first time around

Employee landing page - bright, vibrant, presentable

Cons: Cumbersome - quite slow. Redundant graphics slow down page transitions, reports take a long time to pull if you are looking for a fairly normal size file, some processes can turn into roundabouts

Navigation - back buttons for some, but not all pages, which doesn't make sense (have to go back to home page if you click through to the wrong area). No real logic to how hyperlinks work in platform, leading to rabbit holes while trying to follow a papertrail to its conclusion

Overall: Powerful tool, but there is a huge middle ground between basic and pro users that need to understand how the platform works that have no access to training materials and little support from Workday itself. Has a lot of potential, but marred by clunky and antediluvian UX

Pros: Workday is a great HR tool. You have payroll, time off requests, team info, direct deposit management, benefits, tax elections and more all in one place!

Cons: The only major con for my team is that my leader and I don't have the same visibility into our team members time off requests, which makes colloborating on the schedule slightly inconvenient.

Pros: The WorkDay interface is sophisticated and user friendly. It feels fresh, young and intuitive. I like the aesthetic.

Cons: When trying to submit an expense report and I'll continue to get error messages without guidance on how to fix. I then need to reach out to an internal team which causes delay. Would be great if you could hover over a field for guidance.

Pros: The software is awesome as far as the HR aspect goes. I love that you can have all your employees and potential employees information in one secure location. You have the ease of accessing all necessary documentation for each employee.

Cons: I was not impressed with the lack of assistance when using Workday and hitting walls. We received no training and had to teach ourselves blindly how to maneuver through the program and familiarize ourselves with it.

Overall: Overall, the software is great for larger corporations that can afford to pay for the training and implementation of the program. Some days the program was tedious and I would spend hours trying to navigate through just to be able to complete the hiring process.

Comments: Great software and a decent price point. Good for non profits as well!

Pros: Workday has a lot of features and uses. We ran almost everything through it from personnel data, time tracking, reviews, forms and more. The possibilities are endless.

Cons: The backend of setting up certain features can be a bit cumbersome. Takes several people long hours to maintain and manage system.

Comments: A little expensive but WELL worth the cost - the ROI will more than satisfy you.

Pros: As a SBO, I need to get the scheduling and manage various changes (such as people getting injured or ill or on Family Leave). Workday provides this for me and my lead staff members. It aligns the financial performance with the HR (people) performance, giving you a broad view of your organizational performance. The reports can be up to the minute when thing get tight or quarters are ending, or you have that meeting with your investors/board. Support team is excellent.

Cons: It is a steeper financial investment for a small business owner, but the benefits will surprise you.

Pros: The software does address everything necessary for performance reviews and keeping tabs on employees and making goals for them so it's well documented. It lays things out in order as to not miss anything. There are good step by step instructions if you don't understand something.

Cons: When you finish putting in data, you click done and think it's done, but then it ask again if you want to submit. I noticed with myself and other managers is you think you've completed something and you leave the screen and you later learn it didn't submit because it's asking you to submit after you click done. It's a little redundant.

Overall: It's a little confusing at first, but once you get it down you see the value in it.

Pros: It is really an innovative tool to get your hands on. It got some really supporting management and immensely caring founders. Payroll, hiring, reconcilation etc all are the tasks that you can manage on the go. It is just like a complete package for the HR department.

Cons: It often raises complications for employee to provide a proper feedback to their employers. It is also not user-friendly which means you have to learn it hard and fast in order to get a proper grip on it.

Workday has shown to be a very versatile system that can be well adjusted to fit company comp needs.

Pros: I really like how it can house HR and Payroll data, and can also contain some equity details. Having all three functions in one product has really helped to ease payroll processing as well as avoid data confusion you would likely get from using multiple systems to house the different functional data.

Also, I enjoy the level of detail and ability to 'open the hood' to adjust the system to fit our payroll needs. Processing payroll itself is very easy as well.

I also enjoy how the demographic data (address, work location) is displayed and the effective date displayed.

Cons: 1. Workday does not seem to do well with handling int'l mobile employees that need to be paid a supplemental payment in the US though they live outside the US.

Overall: This software made it easy to learn payroll to begin with. Now I use it for equity.

Pros: It was nice to have all of the learning and everything in one location and the user interface was way nicer than what my company used previously.

Cons: I was not really a fan of how the hours were put in, it was a pain having to deal with the pop up that made you include what your hours were towards and then put in the hours. I think there should be a more straightforward way of putting in hours. There was also errors if you didn't put hours in for certain days which was annoying.

Pros: I like how organized everything is and the ease of use. When you need to find something in particular, it is so easy to find and all the employees have easy access to all their information.

Cons: Sometimes information imputes into the system can take a little long to sync and to view documents you also have to wait a little long sometimes while the request is being made and the documents appear in your inbox.

Pros: Easy to right business rules as needed for many different complex eligibility groups. Very user friendly!

Cons: Reporting in benefits can be tricky - but do-able. I would recommend taking a reporting class before you implement.

Pros: Workday is a great experience with a super friendly and easy to use UI. It's pretty straightforward to use and I've never had any issues with using it.

Cons: One feature in particular that I didn't like was with cancelling time off requests. You basically have to submit a new request to counteract the request. If you just need to edit something it's a very mundane task to complete.

Overall: Overall I really enjoy using Workday maybe one of the best systems I've used for payroll.

Pros: I like the fact you have different applications all on your home screen. It makes getting access to your time card, benefits, and time off simple. If your company chooses to have different applications on the home screen they are able to do so.

Cons: Entering your time for the week is a bit tedious. You have to search for the "time type" and then enter your hours. If you don't choose the correct time type then it will not accept your time.

Pros: Easy to understand and navigate, paycheck slips are easily divided out and labeled clearly and efficiently, love that I can email them to myself and save as PDFs and that I can log in and make changes anytime and they are saved immediately

Cons: At first the paycheck slips were very difficult to read. There is a lot of information on them and the way they are divided out was a bit overwhelming to understand. However, now that I understand the info on them they are getting easier to read but I would still like to see a cleaner look

Overall: The software is easy to use, very modern, no second guessing where to go to enter and view anything. It's very convenient to be able to view, save as PDF or email paycheck slips to myself from within the software and their app is just as modern and user friendly. Even the PDF's download very quickly on my mobile!

Pros: I love that it is so user friendly. I am able to submit time off requests, expense reports, and hours all in the same week. I get to see the process of my expense report approvals every step of the way. I can see the balances of sick, vacation, and holiday time before I request time off.

Cons: The only time I ever had a problem was when my manager left her position. My expense report got stuck waiting for her approval, but I brought that to her boss's attention and it was immediately rectified. If I didn't have workday, I might now have known where to go to get it fixed.

Pros: Workday makes it possible to do side-by-side comparisons of benefits and their coverage and costs so it helps our users in deciding which one will suit their needs best.

It displays all the benefits that the company offers such as 401k, medical and dental in a clear and easily understandable format. It allows our company to deliver a large amount of information to our employees at their most convenient time so we can make sure they keep themselves informed without it taking too much of our HR resources.

Third party system integrations were a breeze with excellent results in the delivered packaged integration.

Cons: It can feel a bit intimidating at first so we made sure proper training, leadership and resources were available internally so our employees did not have a hard time adapting to the system. Once they have though, feedback has been largely positive and any hiccups were easily addressed.

Pros: Workday is a very practical tool for recruiting and I like that it is specific to recruiting. Unlike other programs that could have many different uses, workday recruiting uses terminology specific to recruiting and operates as such with the recruiting lifecycle.

Cons: Workday is very slow! It could be that I work with hundreds of recruiters in my company that utilize this tool, but because there are so many steps to the process, I can see how that can also cause a delayed effect as well.

Overall: Overall, workday gets the job done when it comes to having a streamlined process in recruiting.

Cons: The only negative point I could mention is the cost and time effort for the implementation of the software within the company. However, I would say it is completely worthy as it is one of the best HRIS I have ever used at the moment.

Pros: I like that this is a new software for us. I like that is houses all of our information in one place. There is so much that goes into performance management anymore.

Cons: Sometimes it is hard to figure out what is needed for a step to be completed. I also sometimes am confused if I finished a step correctly, is it sitting with my manager, etc.. Seems like a performance management system is very time consuming and cumbersome.

Overall: The system is ok, this is the first year. It is nice we can still see some old information if we need to. I am sure there will be improvements made.

Overall: I used workday within the retail world where time is limited and everything that is not documented can come back to haunt a Manager months later. Workday helps ensure that everything is not only documented, but easy organized, accessible and up to date. I would recommend this to any beginners with help easing into Performance Management systems.

Recommendations to other buyers: Helpful when training beginners on how to implement Performance Management into their routine.

Pros: This is a great system to replace your benefit and payroll employee reporting solutions. The menus are intuitive and all of the users are able to get the information they need, input their time off requests, and manage the annual performance goals with ease.

Cons: The transition to Workday was fairly simple, but it caused much confusion with the users as we had overlapping systems for a short period of time. Sometimes the user interface can be confusing, but that might be how it was implemented by the HR team.

Overall: This web-based system is great - we have found it to be easy to use, easy to deploy, and users rarely complain about how it works. The ability to link payroll, HR, benefits, and employee time off is really nice and allows better reporting.

Pros: I like the design of the website and the ease of use. I also really liked the mobile app. That came in handy whenever I would forget to log my hours while at work and ensured I was paid on time.

Cons: I don't have any cons for this app. I truly loved everything about it from the design of the website and mobile app to the ease of use in entering your hours and days worked.

Overall: Being able to record my working hours outside of the office. I would occasionally forget to do that in the office and it was really nice to be able too do it from my phone

Comments: Would love to find a similar solution for smaller companies

Pros: User friendly interphase, very adaptable and customizable, can be integrated with ERP and has great reporting capability.

Cons: Apparently is only useful for larger companies. It has been a bit hard for me to get a quote or addition information when trying to purchase it for a local company in Latin America.

Pros: The best part about this software is its interface. It is easy to use and and the navigation is simple and straight forward. All around I say because it is the only app you will need for various HR tasks, like leaves, merits, history, personal information and pay slips. I also appreciate the feature where the employee will be able to see how he/ she is rooted in the organization through the org.chart.

Cons: I dont like about the app is that sometimes it does not work outside the office network but sometimes it does. Verification also takes a little of your time. Probably if some information has a lot of tabs or information it would be nice if the tabs would be laid out beautifilly.

Pros: Very easy to use interface with large easy to read buttons and tabs. Streamlined home page with all of the information right at your fingertips. This software is also able to be personalized slightly for better ease of use.

Comments: Overall Workday is a great HRIS system, but majority for larger organizations. It assists housing a large employee base.

Pros: Clean, organized platform. User friendly as well for daily users and back-end users. Icons to navigate site are helpful as well.

Cons: A little difficult to find where things are sometimes, but once you learn the system, it's fairly straight forward.

Pros: The UI is so simple and clean. It is super easy to navigate and work your way around the platform. We mainly used this to retrieve our payroll advice, track our leaves, accomplish our annual performance, goal improvements and even access correspondences. It also allows ease of use when viewing the full hierarchy of the organization chart.

Cons: The software performance can be improved. I also think the workflow is too restrictive.

Overall: Workday has made it simple to centralize the HR information of an employee and the whole organization and male it accessible to anyone at any time.

Pros: Workday is a very intuitive system for employees that requires little-to-no training. It accurately and succinctly records time. It is simple to report time and provide necessary labels and explanations.

Pros: Coming from a mainframe environment this application is light-years ahead. This is really a self-service application allowing for easy and rapid reporting without relying on designated report writers.

Cons: Being a developer, I would prefer a way to navigate to what you want instead of "searching" for it and clicking through multiple links.

Overall: Overall, Workday HCM has revolutionized our HR management. It has empowered users and given them control over their data. It has been a very positive experience.

Pros: The best thing about Workday, is that is combines all of the necessary HR functions of a company, along with the ability to input Organization Team Workflows for the ease of viewing. They also offer a smartphone app that allows you to access some of your organizations HR functions on the go.

Cons: The smartphone app is a little buggy at times, and sometimes you get stuck in a screen you can't get out of without ending the app and re-entering.

Pros: It's very intuitive to use. A lot of human capital management softwares are not that easy to use. This one is very to the point and you can find things easily. It takes the guessing game out of the picture

Cons: There are a lot of clicks involved to get to certain places. It might not be that easy to use for someone who isn't technically savvy. If that's the case, having a simple walk through with a coworker on how to use it would be sufficient enough.

Pros: easy to use, the search tool is very good to look up information. For employees who are not used to HRIS software this is a great tool

Pros: Benefits, payroll, and time tracking all in one place. Both as an employee and as a people manager, this tool makes my life very easy for the administration task work that comes with being both.

Cons: Time off tracking for employees would be more helpful if there was integrations with group calendars or options to show time-off for an entire team and make it easy for everyone within a team/organization to see planned time off for subordinates.

Pros: The employee was able to interact with this software without much direction. The interface is clean and the customer service was always available.

Pros: Functionality is good. Bugs get communicated and fixed fast. Issues in Production get as well proactively communicated.

Many things are implemented you rarely see in other applications - it is SaaS ready.

Cons: reporting is good - but you have to know a lot to use the correct objects.

Overall: Migration to the new platform was well prepared by Workday standards. Review by Workday of the work of implementation Partner was helpfull.

Pros: Workday also has an application as well which makes it convenient for all users. Employees can also log in to view paychecks, PTO, etc...

Cons: Whenever it generates a pdf copy of the paystub you will have to wait and then log back in to pull up a copy.

Pros: I think the most I like about the software is its ability to handle big chunks of data and organizing it in such a way that it is not cluttered and easy to find and use later. It helps manage all the different info and uses for an employee.

Cons: I think there is something with the encryption or the platform it was developed on because of which it sometimes returns errors or just freezes. Maybe that can be improved resulting in a better solution.

Comments: Over all it is a good application that makes it easy to track time and verify the time that your employee worked.

Pros: Very good interface, very intuitive and very error forgiving. It allows you to put time in by clocking in or by adding the time. There is also important information about your employment. Like if you are a part time employee you cannot work more than 20 hours a week an things like that. Very customisable.

Cons: The mobile application has a difficult login and its hard to navigate. It is not as intuitive as the web interface and it is hard to submit time or correct time errors.

Pros: I liked using this software at a previous job of mine because it was fun to use with the format of the software and how easy and straightforward it was to use.

Cons: I did not like how often it crashed though. I worked at that job for a couple of months and it crashed about three times in the span of four months. It was quickly back in order by the end of the work day.

Workday is hands down the best HR System that I have worked with!

Comments: I'm a huge fan of Workday - makes my job so much fun being able to support it!

Pros: The configurability throughout the system makes it easy for the functional folks to be able to primarily support it.

Cons: Sometimes with it being so easy to use it can be a little challenging for instance with the "google" search approach - it's easy when you can guess the right word(s) - and sometimes this is very simple but it can be frustrating if you don't know the key words to use.

Pros: I use Workplace almost everyday for both payroll and job referrals internally. It offers a one stop frustration free interface for all my needs. I love the user friendliness of this software as well as the clarity in getting across.

Cons: The mobile app does not provide all the functionality as the desktop interface. It will be great to have them uniform across platforms.

Pros: I love that I can look up my vacation bank at any future date before requesting time off, and it also takes into account any existing approved vacation requests in the interim. It makes it quite easy to securely plan your vacations. Time entry is easier than our previous platform, as well

Cons: When copying time blocks from previous time periods, the interface is a bit clunky, and it doesn't copy fields and notes by default when doing so. If you accidentally import time from a previous week without checking that box, it's impossible to delete those bad time blocks without going into each one and selecting a bunch of required fields. It's a real pain the butt when you click wrong.

Pros: Workday is a highly customizable and fully integrated people management software that finally brings HRIS into the 21st century. No more are your employees or managers segregated out from participation in actively managing their own service needs and from visibility into key and actionable HR information.

Cons: New feature releases are announced early from Workday and get users very excited for the possibilities, but often the implementation or roll out takes a lot of time (at least a year) before those benefits can be realized.

Recommendations to other buyers: Approach Workday with a clear definition and vision of scope and timing before implementation.
