The software itself is easy to navigate through which makes it the perfect tool for drumming up some rough data representations. As an analyst, I will continue to use Minitab in my reports! Pros Minitab was my go to tool at university. Having introduced to Minitab at an undergraduate course, I continued to use it for my postgraduate and work as well. It is a great software to have which allows you t visually represent and analyze your data without having to actually figure out how to use the software in detail. It is a great time saver when most of the softwares out there require an extensive background of knowledge of just how to operate them. It has great features and does not require any special training. I found it user-friendly and easy to use. A free trial is available, however, it is worthful to buy a license. It has helped me a lot in the tasks of the month, finding solutions to old problems. It is an incredible tool for anyone who wants to put things in order. Pros The tool is very simple and intuitive to use. For those who use the 6 Sigma methodology it is essential. The reports issued are complete, with all necessary information. Customer support is very good, as they respond very quickly and answer any questions. Cons Despite being relatively simple to use, it has many functions, and it takes the user a long time to fully master this software. Some aspects related to the visuals of the graphics could be improved, but it is not a problem. It is easy to learn and has great features. Pros This was the first statistical tool that I learned how to use and I think it was very easy to learn. It has a lot of great features and is affordable for companies. I like the export options. Cons The charts are not very appealing. I prefer to make charts using other software. My teammates started using it to compute tolerance interval studies for our customers. Both of these are really easy to do in the software. I plan to take a training course later this year to see how else we can improve our current data reporting practices using this. Pros My experience with this software was extremely limited prior to my current position. This software probably has some of the better online help available. I never had to complete GRRs in prior positions and report out on them. This software's help not only helped me stumble through it (successfully), but I understood what I was reporting out on. I really like it. Plus the visuals, graphs, etc...they really make a nice addition to any report I am working on. Cons I don't have any cons to report out on. I didn't use this software prior to my current position, so I really had no comparisons for this. The interface and functionalities resonate very well with most textbooks used by students so its easy to follow through the procedures. Pros Incredibly valuable general libraries for linear models like statsmodels with functionality of using JSON equations helps create classic graphs and analysis for the Six Sigma projects. It automated the calculations and provided quick results. A lot of data processing work can be performed with just few clicks. Cons The UI is classic and can be more attractive. So anyone can use Minitab to analyze its business data, regardless of the background. Pros I like how Minitab is simple, AKA, easy to use but still have many features and tools to analyze and manipulate data. I like how it is possible simply copy-paste from Excel sheet and plot any graph that is needed in literally seconds, then customize the parts of it by simple double clicking. Cons That's rather a design issue but when closing data tables/workspace sometimes it closes Minitab and any unsaved progression is lost and that's of course sad. There are other multifunctional programs to use. Pros Easy to use. Nobody can't miss a box or anything. Program leads person to do what you would like to do. I had it up and running in no time. I like that it is easy to use for high school students like myself and I plan to keep using it until a more improved version is introduced. Pros Minitab 18 is undoubtedly the best statistical analysis tool I have used so far. It processes data quickly and effectively and the graphics are great; better than those produced by Ms Excel and SPSS. It is also easy to use and analyzes all kinds of data from descriptive statistics to predictive statistics Minitab 18 is the program to use.
