Its benifitial to me by keeping my daily activties in line and enabling me to track all work, active or completed without having to manually keep track.

Pros

I use to track customers requests for service, schedule jobs and keep a record of customer Work in one place so I don't have to juggle emails, notes and spreadsheets throughout the day. I primarily rely on it to assign Work orders and get updates from technicians without having to call them constantly or message them continually.

Cons

There are times when I also feel like certain settings and reporting information is harder to find than it should be and end up clicking around for longer than necessary. The interface can be a bit of an old thing in some respects which slows me down when I am busy. I also wish I could customize reports and work flows a bit more freely because I like to keep an eye on development.

My overall experience with has been positive. It is a reliable and efficient platform for managing service operations, scheduling, maintenance tasks, and tracking work progress. The interface is simple, secure, and easy to learn, which helps teams work faster and stay organized. Although there are minor bugs and some limitations in customization, it remains a strong solution for businesses that need better service and maintenance management.

Pros

What I liked most about is its easy learning curve and user-friendly interface. It does not take much time to understand, even for new users. The dashboard is clean and organized, which makes job scheduling, work order tracking, and time tracking much easier. Security is also strong, and customer data feels well protected. It offers good value for money because it helps save time, improves team productivity, and keeps service management well structured. Maintenance management is one of its best features, especially for handling recurring service tasks and technician assignments.

Cons

What I liked least about is that some advanced customization options are limited. There can also be occasional bugs and issues, especially when updating records or syncing information, which can slow down workflow. The mobile experience could be smoother, and customer support response time is sometimes slower than expected. For smaller businesses, pricing may feel slightly high depending on usage needs.

For basic ticketing system needs, it does exceptionally well, and I could see service shops and small IT departments benefiting from it; however, without investments into some basic updates, it's hard to recommend to anybody looking for a ticketing system.

Pros

is easy to setup and use, and the overall time to learn the product is very short. As a basic ticketing system, it performs very well.

Cons

The lack of features, integrations and basic security improvements you would expect in this day and age. The product lacks integration with most identity providers and lacks basic security options such as MFA.

We actually switched from to AutotaskPSA - which is way more than we need, but gets us features that Bluefolder lacked such as MFA and integration with RMM tools.

Overall, we've been happy with . It is a great tool for small and medium businesses to build out a field service platform. As organizations scale, like ours, it tends to give way towards a more comprehensive option.

Pros

For medium-sized businesses, it's a perfect solution - it has the core features that larger service management platforms have at a fraction of the price. The ability to manage equipment, contracts, and service tickets all in one place, across multiple customers, is exactly what we need. I also appreciate the ability for customization.

Cons

The reporting capabilities aren't as robust (and timely) as a larger service management platform, which I suppose is to be expected.

Pros

Easy to use. Easy to configure to suit our needs (Service Request Template) Updates / improvements are automatically actioned. Back up assistance is prompt and helpful. Overall experience is good

Cons

Not able to carry out a BLOCK DELETE of items would be my major issue. I appreciate you can make it discontinued - but this still leaves it on the system. As an example we have an ex-supplier with over a 1000 items we could delete We have two independent Blue Folder Systems and were not able to transfer blocks of data between the parent system to the child system as an example had to rebuild the client list - BF did assist with transferring some of the client data across but we should be able to export from one system and import into another system. Some limitations when updating costs in the item list - but it has improved over the years - we have many vendors and price changes at least twice a year for some of them. I export to an excel file - do the changes in the excel file - then import the changes. Item list needs a SORT field to make it easier to manipulate in excel - currently I use the manufacturer field with a code. It works but not the best solution, it is only in the last few years I have been able to do this, in the early days you could not import the manufacturer field after a change

I was new to the medical industry, but made it easy to settle right in and know the right things to ask.

Pros

It's very user friendly and I'm able to intuitively figure most stuff out. is perfect for our small company, but I can imagine it's great for any size.

Cons

Only thing I dislike is that the app is not the best - I just use the website. Considering that the site isn't really made for phone viewing, it's not the best option.

Pros

It is extremely flexible and easy to jump around to different sections. The Smart List are a great tool to have dynamic list that are custom and restricted views.

Cons

The system is limited on alerts and notifications when reviewing a customer. In addition, you can only select contacts from the customer. It would be nice to be able to select contacts from other customers (ie the contractor who installed it).

Work order management works both at the office and remotely. Automating repeated work orders can help keep preemptive maintenance well organized. The history for work is easily found too, adding attachments is fairly straight forward.  Customer support is very good, and they are prompt if needed.

Pros

Over all it works well for our use. The price point is a little higher than some competition, but it may be worth it.

Cons

is a good tool, but a bit pricey

### "Implementing Bluefolder in a new business model"

I have used it in some capacity for the past 6 years and am implementing it at a new company. I can use it to research previous troubles, schedule future call-outs/PM's, and it is exceptionally easy to document issues for future technician's to diagnose.

Pros

I am currently at a new position and using the current companies in-house dispatch/billing/maintenance software is not intuitive to the point where only a specialized personnel use it. I suggested implementing on a trial basis for a subset of our customer base. I had used it in a similar capacity at a previous company and enjoy how easy it is to find customer and equipment data - specifically previous notes and dispatched and contact information.

Cons

The map function needs a bit of work. Much of our equipment in the field lacks a street address or is inside of another company's main location, but not a the street address that they would use (read a chemical plant with an Admin building for the address, but equipment installed elsewhere within the plant). Location information needs at latitude/longitude option. Entering location information should come with a "Save and new" button like the equipment entering option.Sub-equipment as a standard option would be nice.

EXCEPTIONAL! service and support have always been spot on, helped when i had issues, helped on the new update. Responsive in a quick time period. Sale team has been helpful when I have had cusotmers that could benifit they helped me to setup a demo system. There are very few companies (especially software) that i like as much as this system.

Pros

We have been with for many many years, and have watched it improve. We use it to run nearly every aspect of our business. Before I started this company, I ran a software development company in LA, this software is simple to use, powerful and would be the highest rated software systems that I use for my company. Without this system I would have to link together several solutions and doubt they would give me the tools and ease of use that this one system has. Steve Drake

Cons

The calendar has issues with time zones. But this is common in most calendar systems. I live in Arizona and during half the year my appointments are set to the wrong time, even though my sales team puts them in correctly for the class. It adjusts to what it thinks is my local time, but the class is scheduled for a time in spite of the zone. This is an issue because I travel to those times, and it does not update when i am there.

Overall, has been a valuable tool for my company. Its ability to track and manage all of our company's assets in one platform, ability to customize fields and forms and powerful reporting capabilities have greatly improved our asset management. While the software has a bit of a learning curve and requires a bit of effort to fully set it up and customize it, the benefits of BlueFolder far outweigh the cons for our business.

Pros

As an admin user of in my company, I have found it to be a comprehensive and user-friendly asset management software. One of the biggest advantages of this software is its ability to track and manage all of our company's assets in one platform. From equipment, vehicles, to tools and inventory, BlueFolder provides a seamless experience for our team and our customers. Another great feature of BlueFolder is the ability to customize fields and forms to fit our company's specific needs. This has been especially useful in terms of tracking and managing the maintenance of our assets.

Cons

While it offers a wide range of features, it takes some time and effort to fully utilize all the functionalities, especially for non-technical users.

I enjoy every aspect of this system. I am able to allow access to the customers when we get the system built and they will be able to see their information and also to make service calls.

Pros

The set up of Blue folder took minutes. I sent the information to them and they loaded it up. Everything is easy to figure out and easy to find.

Cons

When you delete something I have not been able to see if it is gone gone or if it is retrievable. There could be a person that accidently deletes information by clicking incorrectly and it may need to be brough back.

Very positive.

Pros

has most everything you need to manage customers and equipment. You can easily see past service history of equipment. Create invoices and export them to Quickbooks online or desktop.

Cons

I wish there were more customizable view and reporting built in to the web interface. We end up having to run a bunch of reports and export them to excel in order to make the data easy to interpret.

Great. Again it needs a better way to reference materials used. Like when Im doing this review and I click on a question and depending on the answer another screen pops up. Asking for something else

data base and a universal place for each customer information

Cons

Better ability to have a data base of materials and how they can be searched for. If you can figure this out similar to the way turbo tax would ask info. Like this: When the tech add his time, Then a pop up screen" Did you use materials?" Then a scroll down screen.

He has a great skill in finding "work arounds" for features that Blue Folder may not have. Its clear he is very proficient in knowing this program and best practices for use.

I wish there was the ability to create a "master list" of equipment (so that we can use the same equipment for different customers) and the ability to work offline

I use daily to manage the Field Service Team for a medical device company. This software allows us the ability to track service orders from start-finish while collecting pertinent data.

Pros

This software is easy to use and navigate. Assigning tasks for team members is easy and notification keep you up to date on statuses as they progress through the service cycle.

Cons

Reporting could be improved. It would be nice to have reports that can show how long a service order is in a particular status.
