When we first went live and getting everything set-up was challenging and we are having issues with our Charge capture system integrated with RXNT and Missing doctor's charges. There were a few tweaks that we are still working out with RXNT, but I think this is a great system to use for a Medical Billing System.

Pros

The user friendliness. Easy to navigate and train on.

Cons

No place of service in the "claim scrubbing" tab. No charge capture system that can take a picture of the facesheet and auto populate to RXNT. Too much manual entry. Issues with our Charge capture system integrated with RXNT. Missing doctor's charges.

### "Ok if you only want to E-prescribe. Otherwise don't waste your time."

STAY AWAY unless all you need is eprescribe.

Pros

ERX works easy and can use your phone to eprescribe. but it stops there. Nothing else worth using. I have tried for 3 months and my staff simply won't use the software. They feel billing is problematic with several issues among them being inaccurate insurance selection.

Cons

Could not get my software data (patient demographics, insurance listing, etc) imported accurately. The support team that "trains your staff and sets up your company" simply are not knowledgable enough and the support line does not take the time to listen and respond to issues raised. They either bot response immediately or don't answer the question accurately.

Product promises everything but only really performs well with eprescribe. I was looking for a unified system.

Generally smooth to utilize as noted above.

Pros

On a day to day basis, the EHR, scheduling and e-prescribing functions work well.

Cons

A lot of the features are buggy, especially soon after they're rolled out. While most of the system is intuitive to use, some of it is clunky. It also has slowed down considerably over the years as new features were added. It's annoying that it now takes a couple of seconds to get results from a patient search or switch to a different part of the system. My biggest complaints are that the patient portal is unusable and that I still can't have multiple charts open at once or I lose data (despite being told last year that this problem was resolved). The latter point really slows me down.

There are issues with messaging, editing appointments that may take days for support to help with. Due to compliance issues it may be important that admin or owners do not have access to all information in RXNT; once a patient is active only licensed or physician should have access. Admins should also not have the ability to read messages between clinicians and physicians/clinicians.

Pros

Somewhat easy to use; takes time to understand what each screen means and the process for each task.

Cons

Messages should be secure between clinicians/physicians, not accessible by admins or others. When an appointment is scheduled with another provider on the same date as a regularly scheduled appointment with a different provider in the same practice-it should warn or prevent this.

### "Using RXNT as a Psychiatry Resident"

Overall, I have found the software easy to use and helpful in e-prescribing. When I've had trouble, the support folks are very responsive. I would recommend it.

Pros

RXNT is the software used by our state-funded mental health center. I appreciate the friendly user interface and ability to customize my recommended pharmacies and track my patients medications. I am typically able to write a script in less than two minutes and have had few issues sending the scripts to our local pharmacies.

Cons

There are a few glitches that I have noticed. Some medications are only listed with one name (either brand or generic), making them hard to find. Cogentin, for instance, is only listed as benztropine. Viewing the drug interactions is a little clunky and hard to read (though I do like this feature). I also wish that some of the information available on the "histories" tab was also viewable on the "prescription" screen, like the pharmacy the scripts were sent to. Finally, if the pharmacy you work with doesn't receive e-scripts, then there seems to be a glitch transmitting the signature on the prescription pad via fax.

### "Too many clicks and glitches"

I am not a fan. I tried to work with it. Thought all the charges were standard things until I started talking with more colleagues. The system is not easy and, frankly, with improvements in technology, this system should be more intuitive and user friendly--especially for my patients.

Pros

It was less expensive. Little did I know as a relatively new private practitioner what I would be missing out on

Cons

You are charged extra for EVERYTHING-reminders, fax integration, lab integration. The number of clicks to do anything is a definite time suck. And few of my patients are able to easily get into the patient portal which has actually cost me business. Customer service is not adequate. I requested custom forms which I was very interested in. Made detailed templates with examples from their forms to make it as easy as possible. Ended up looking nothing like what I wanted and was fraught with errors. Frankly, it is embarrassing.

Absolutely nothing this is been a complete nightmare! Don’t do it!

Cons

If I could give customer support a zero I would. You are basically on your own to try to navigate this horrendous system. I cannot wait to switch. Please save yourself the time and spend the extra money on a different system. Wish I would’ve went with epic.

Cheaper and seemed basic and easy to use. However, this should’ve been my first clue that with basic you spend extra time and energy doing extra work.

Pros

The full suite helps connect all pieces running a medical business; from scheduling to EMR to prescription and to billing; all connected and things get done with some clicks only

Cons

Inability to post patient's co-pay to their account at the time of their appointment; this only gets posted once the insurance returns claim.

Good in general. It is really nice to get faxes directly into RXNT.

Pros

Ability to e-prescribe and the ability to make notes without templates.

Cons

After an encounter is printed out the words are too small to read easily. It would also be helpful to be able to chose what to print to give to the patient, for example, just the assessment and plan. It would be helpful to be able to move from one encounter to another for a given patient more easily when reviewing their prior appointments.

Frustrating. Their support hours are only Eastern Time. Being on the West Coast means we're out of luck if any problems occur during our afternoons.

Pros

It was an easy transition from paper, and was probably pretty good when we started using it many years ago. Unfortunately, they never stayed with their strengths.

Cons

They need to have developers work with users!!!! Development always seems to have their own agenda, not contemplating how it affects end users. They make "improvements" that totally mess up our work flow!

Customer service is the worst part about this company. They frequently have notifications for “outages” it is a really laborious process to set up trainings or get any kind of assistance from customer service. Also, when the sales representative discussed the products, they did not mention anything about the 14 month commitment to subscribing. When this was discussed with customer service after trying to cancel the subscription, they apologize that I was not informed of that and told me that person was no longer working for the company. There’s been quite a bit of employee turnaround since I’ve signed up for this service two months ago. Took multiple attempts at canceling to finally get someone on the phone and have it confirmed.

Pros

E prescribing from RXNT app was easy to use

Cons

Access to patient portal for the patients is a tedious process, requiring multiple steps with emails frequently going to junk mail. The interface is too busy and not intuitive for daily flow of quickly accessing notes and prescribing features through desktop. Recommended to use a large monitor while using Chrome which is inconvenient if you’re trying to chart on a laptop using any other browser. Can only access appointments an E, prescribing from the app, no ability to chart from there.

Customer service and the representative that helped with set up was very nice and helpful. \[sensitive content hidden\] has been very supportive

Pros

I like that we do not have to completely fill out the demographics for a patient. I like that the medications saved are able to be viewed by all our network

Cons

I would like to have the pharmacy search easier for small pharmacies and I would like to have the pharmacy list be saved for the whole network like the medications saved. I think you need more training. The video's are more of a basic understanding and the rest I had to figure out on my own. It would be nice if you had a rep visit the facility and offer a training session to the trainer.

Terrible. No access to the software, no access to training, the onboarding coach has zero knowledge of how to set up the software or to help in any way. The software itself is not user friendly and the language and set up is extremely cumbersome.

Pros

None, I have never been able to get full access or develop the system

Cons

There are no available trainings online and trainers are not available for weeks, you are not given full access to your software, there are hidden contract terms that are never disclosed - term of contract, requirement for ads, lack of training accessibility. The system is not user friendly and there is no support for getting it set up, which you are responsible for doing on your own. It is advertised as taking "15-25 days" for full set up but once you pay, they report that it will be 8 weeks. It is advertised that you have acess to support anytime but you have to schedule a training and the EHR trainings are set out one month.

Pros

Integration with insurance companies seamless. A prescription dialogue can be saved to personal file, and a search can be used for all medications on the profile, and with the click of one button, the search can be narrowed to personal prescriptions. Updates in this regard have been helpful. Merging patient feature is useful.

After an update, difficult to locate editing tools.

### "Poor Customer Service, Crashes, duplicate charts, support says clear your cache"

We were with them for many years, AS THEY GREW THEIR PROCESS TO IMPLEMENT CHANGE AND NOT CUSTOMIZE PER PROVIDER REALLY IMPACTED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROVIDERS. WE WERE NOT THE PRIORITY - BIG ISSUES WITH DUPLICATE PTS BY PHARMACY AND NOT ABILITY TO STOP IT.

Pros

MDs liked EMR except when duplicate charts were created- simple but major changes without notice and printing different types of encounters was painful.

Cons

Crashes, ERA posting in error not doing adjustments, duplicate charts from pharmacy created, claim scrubbing gets stuck, slow in billing and scheduler

### "RxNT Electronic Prescribing"

This is especially useful for keeping up with medication compliance with patients, and with the escribing requirements of various states, as we have patients in multiple states.

Pros

The data base is very large, and it works seamlessly with other prescription management software. We are able to customize prescriptions, and use the PRN option for more complicated prescriptions. The Support team has always been extremely helpful, willing to stay on the phone until the problem is solved, and able to talk us through any changes in software.

Cons

I appreciate the need for ads, but they can be a little intrusive. The website occasionally makes design changes that are not always intuitive, so there is a learning curve whenever changes are made.
