### "Chimp Does the Heavy Lifting"

March 2, 2026

4.0

Very positive overall. reliable, intuitive, and well-suited for what we do. So long as you don't create newsletters (as an example) that are overly long and have too much content, the ROI can be good. Drilling down on users is important to me to see who is clicking and reading what.

Pros

The dashboard is really easy to use and the templates are pretty good. One of the big plusses is mailchimp canva integration. Pricing is reasonable for what you are getting. The mobile versions of the emails sometimes are different form on-screen.

Cons

There are WP integration security issues that have come up by my hosting provider. While I keep all my software up-to-date, I have to keep scanning/repair software running in the background at all times. Sometimes verifying a website can be a process. An easier solution would be nice, ie: verifying website by email address only.

### "Solid Email Marketing Software, Product Continues to Evolve"

April 2, 2026

4.0

Overall we had a positive experience. We were very early adopters of Mailchimp and used it for many years. We were able to grow our list considerably and for some team members that were not super technical, we were still able to train them on it which was encouraging.

Pros

Pretty easy to use overall, support was always responsive. The product continued to evolve over the years and we did get a lot of use out of it.

Cons

Compared to some other similar softwares we've used at our hospitality group, the pricing made some jumps over the years that was a little frustrating.

### "Yes, it sends emails.. for an increasing fee each month—with minimal value add over time. "

February 25, 2026

3.0

Overall I think Mailchimp is an adequate, yet outdated tool. It sends emails. It manages contacts and lead flows. That's about it which is frustrating for the price and poor customer support.

Pros

I like that it does what it was designed to do: send emails. I think it has strong value in the area of spam filtering as emails typically land in-inbox. It is also quite easy to use. When you are trying to do A/B testing or manage lead flows, it is effective in that area.

Cons

Customer support is lacking, especially on free plans. You wait in long queues often for subpar support. The user interface is bleak and that's largely due to lack of features. Contact management is difficult. The price constantly increases without additional features or value. Definitely not worth the extreme cost.

### "Easy to use Newsletter Software"

March 5, 2026

5.0

I've been using Mailchimp for years. Its easy to use. Probably the easiest newsletter tool I've used over the years. Its easy to send test messages and schedule a send.

Pros

Its so easy to use. Just drag and drop. Its easy to add photos, text boxes and I like the template options that make it easy to create and not start from scratch.

Cons

The price has gone up over the years, making it a little less affordable for small businesses. Sometimes, I click on a box in the newsletter to change the text and have to remember to go to the right side to edit the text.

### "A Reliable and Versatile Tool for Email Marketing"

April 4, 2026

5.0

I’ve used Mailchimp in many ways, not only for sending campaigns but also to integrate it with external systems like our management software and website. It’s been a valuable tool that helps keep all our communication organized and professional.

Pros

I really appreciate how solid and reliable Mailchimp is. It offers great integration options, even through APIs, which makes it easy to connect with almost any tool or platform.

Cons

The pricing can be a bit high, but considering the quality and the features you get, I think it’s worth the cost.

### "The Best Tool for Small-to-Medium Businesses"

April 2, 2026

4.0

Mailchimp's customer support team have been very helpful during the onboarding and regular use of the tool. They are quick to respond and very willing to dive into the nitty gritty details of our account to troubleshoot issues.

Pros

MailChimp is incredibly intuitive and has some of the best pre-built templates and segments for small to medium sized businesses. The pricing is extremely competitive, particularly for nonprofits like my organization.

Cons

The reporting systems are a bit primitive and don't allow any automation. Being able to schedule regular report delivery to stakeholders would make the tool even more valuable.

### "Why Mailchimp is a win for small nonprofits!"

March 9, 2026

4.0

For small nonprofits, Mailchimp works well because it is designed for simple email newsletters, announcements, and community updates rather than ecommerce marketing. It is easier for small teams or volunteers to use and typically offers more affordable pricing for smaller contact lists. In contrast, some competitors are built for data-driven ecommerce marketing, which most nonprofits do not need.

Pros

I used Mailchimp for several years for several non profit clients that I service from a marketing perspective. I found it works very well for my smaller non profits because it is easier to navigate. There are so many drop and drag templates that help them with their messaging. It also is more cost effective then some of the other options.

Cons

A drawback of using Mailchimp is that it offers less advanced data tracking and segmentation compared to platforms. This can make it harder to personalize communications based on supporter behavior or engagement. However, this is for advanced communications which many small nonprofits do not need.

### "Mailchimp a reliable marketing platform"

March 24, 2026

5.0

Overall we are very happy with mailchimp, the platform offers everything that we need and the price is fair and the use of the platform it is very easy to use and we can teach the rest of the team fairly quick.

Pros

From the very beginning the team was very proactive and care about our needs and propose realistic plan on how can we succeed.

Cons

I would say that the platform itself there are certain features that needs to be updated as to gather some data requires some manual effort

### "Simple and economical "

March 19, 2026

4.0

I’ve used this service for years. Simple to use, I can make emails to my customers as fancy or basic as I like. Love being able to copy and edit previous campaigns so that I’m not always starting from scratch.

Pros

Love that I can use a free account for my small business. As the business grows, I’ll want to expand to different email lists, which is an option with the paid account.

Cons

I need to flip back and forth between the app and the online version to use all of the email creation tools. Not sure why they’re not all available in one place.

### "Mailchimp is WORTH IT!!"

April 5, 2026

5.0

Mailchimp is well worth the subscription price if you have a larger email subscriber number. If you can use the free version, it is EXTREMELY worth it!

Pros

Mailchimp has great email marketing and newsletter tools for a lower or free price! It is easy to glean email performance metrics and tailor messages for your audience. You can tailor and design your email's appearance very easily.

Cons

One downside of Mailchimp is that the number of contacts per email list is limited by the tier you pay for. If you want more advanced email metric data, you will have to pay for a higher tier of Mailchimp.

Pros

The templates are modern, the automation tools are easy to configure, and the analytics dashboard makes it simple to track performance. It’s a great all-in-one platform for managing email marketing without needing advanced technical skills.

### "A Review of Mailchimp’s Email Marketing Tools"

March 30, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Mailchimp has been largely positive. It’s a reliable and beginner‑friendly email marketing platform that makes it easy to create, manage, and send professional‑looking campaigns. The drag‑and‑drop editor, pre‑designed templates, and clear workflows make day‑to‑day email marketing straightforward, even without extensive technical or design experience. I found the automation, audience segmentation, and analytics especially valuable. Being able to track open rates, click‑throughs, and engagement helps refine campaigns and understand what works. The onboarding guidance and built‑in tips also make it easier to get started and stay organized. That said, as needs grow, pricing and feature limitations become more noticeable. Costs can rise quickly with larger contact lists, and some advanced automation or customization requires higher‑tier plans. Overall, Mailchimp is a strong, dependable tool for small to mid‑sized businesses and individuals, offering a good balance between ease of use and marketing functionality, particularly for users starting or managing moderate‑scale campaigns.

Pros

What I liked most about Mailchimp is its user‑friendly interface and ease of use. Creating email campaigns is straightforward, with clear workflows, drag‑and‑drop templates, and helpful prompts that make it accessible even for beginners. I also appreciated Mailchimp’s automation and audience management tools. Features like automated email sequences, audience segmentation, and performance analytics make it easy to target the right audience and track campaign effectiveness without needing advanced technical knowledge. Overall, Mailchimp stands out for combining powerful marketing features with simplicity, making it a strong tool for small businesses and users who want professional‑looking email campaigns without a steep learning curve.

Cons

What I liked least about Mailchimp is its pricing structure as your contact list grows. Costs can increase quickly once you exceed the free or lower‑tier limits, which can feel restrictive for small businesses or users with growing audiences. I also found some limitations in design flexibility and automation depth unless you upgrade to higher‑tier plans. Certain advanced features—such as more complex customer journeys, detailed segmentation, or customization—aren’t as accessible on basic plans. Additionally, the interface, while beginner‑friendly, can sometimes feel crowded or unintuitive when managing multiple campaigns, audiences, or settings. Overall, while Mailchimp is powerful and easy to start with, cost escalation and feature restrictions can be frustrating as your marketing needs become more advanced.

### "Very user friendly"

Have used mailchomo for years to send promotional emails and collect clients details for our mailing list through a form. Never really had any issues. I haven't yet mastered how to use the analytics to benefit our marketing but thatvwill come in time as mailchimo provide all the relevant details.

Pros

Mailchimo has a generous Free option with very few restrictions. The emails and form are easy to build, the whole process is very user friendly, taking you step by step through with drag and drop options andvthe ability to totally brand your comunications with logos text, images and colours. Easy to update data and intergrate from other products and services.

### "Streamlined Email Campaigns"

December 24, 2025

5.0

Mailchimp allows us to quickly create, automate, and analyze email campaigns, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and seasoned marketers.

Pros

We enjoy how user-friendly it is to use Mailchimp for our internal newsletters. We are able to organize templates and easily duplicate them, which streamlines our process, allowing for a beginner-friendly experience as well. The preview experience before sending it out is also a plus!

Cons

We least enjoy being unable to access any deleted templates. Since Mailchimp allows us to store many templates and files, and several users in one account, it would be helpful to access any accidentally deleted files.

### "Professional looking emails for amateur designers!"

December 10, 2025

5.0

Overall, I can't recommend Mailchimp enough. This platform has saved me time and money, and made my communications look more professional for over a decade!

Pros

I have used Mailchimp weekly for over a decade. For an individual who is not very tech-savvy (like myself), it's an excellent platform to send professional looking emails with ease. The ability to schedule emails ahead of time helps me work more efficiently, and my audiences have always enjoyed the consistent, professional communication.

Cons

This is honestly a difficult question to answer simply because I have had very few issues with Mailchimp. I have always worked at institutions with smaller audiences, so I have only used the free version of Mailchimp. I would love to implement some of the "bells and whistles" of the paid version - more thorough statistics / tracking, but have not personally seen the cost of those tools to be worth it in my context.

### "A Solid Starting Point That Gets Expensive Fast"

March 17, 2026

4.0

Mailchimp is easy to use and well-known, but it gets expensive as lists grow, and deliverability and AI personalization lag behind other tools (thinking of switching, actually). It offers value for small teams or organizations that need an all-in-one marketing platform that isn't too expensive for the features it provides. That said, what was once a simple-to-use platform now has this mess of bundled-together features, and I can see us quickly outgrowing it in a couple years as our contact list scales up.

Pros

The drag-and-drop email editor is genuinely easy to use. All the features integrate relatively smoothly. The creation process is pretty straightforward, and the builder is fast and easy to use. Appreciate the analytics functions that give you a solid 360-degree view of email campaign performance.

Cons

Pricing gets expensive as the number of contacts in your account increases, and you're restricted from accessing all features unless you upgrade to a higher plan. Mailchimp charges double or more for contacts if the same email address is added to more than one list, and it still counts cleaned contacts toward your total even though you can no longer send to them which is a huge complaint of mine. Customer support is also not reliable, I have to rely more on internet chat rooms and googling.

### "Even the free version is great!"

September 4, 2025

5.0

I use the free version of this for my work and liked it so much I'm using it for my home business despite recommendations for another site. There's some clunky features that I assume is because I have the free version, but it's hard to tell. It's nothing you can't learn to get used to. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to create an email list.

Pros

This is really easy to use and self explanatory. Using the Tags lets me categorize my contacts easily. I can see who has unsubscribed and who what emails stopped working. The click through data helps me know what emails my customers are the most interested in. The user interface is good, but may take some getting used to the wording. The templates are great and It's really easy to make any style of email and make it look professional. I use the free version and it's all I need, but I will be going tot he paid version if I ever need it because I've had a good experience so far.

Cons

You need to learn the wording and terms. Templates vs Plan Text Vs Regular for an example. The landing page is weird after I loggin. this may be because I have a free account, but I have to click on the small text hidden in the right corner to navigate to my hub.

### "Easy to use email marketing platform with room for improvement. "

April 20, 2025

4.0

Pros

Mailchimp is one of the most easy to use email marketing software out there, due to its intuitive nature and its drag and drop email builder, which makes it straightforward to start marketing campaigns. Mailchimp pre-designed email templates are visually appealing too and they can easily be customized to fit specific email campaign purposes.

Cons

Mailchimp has no provision for affiliate marketing. Also, there is no provision currently to automate customer segmentations across marketing lists.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. Your feedback helps us understand where we can improve and better serve our community. While these specific functionalities aren't part of our current offerings, we're always listening to feedback from folks like you to understand what's most important. Features evolve, and user input plays a big role in that process. In the meantime, some of our users have explored workarounds or integrations with other platforms to achieve their affiliate marketing goals. For customer segmentation across lists, it often involves a more manual approach or using our tagging and segmenting tools within individual lists to create similar groupings.

### "Should you stay or leave with the Chimp?"

March 28, 2025

5.0

I would say it's a decent marketing platform that has it's strengths. It does offer a wide range of features to helps businesses connect with their audience. However I believe their pricing structure along with potential limitations should be carefully considered before committing.

Pros

It has an intuitive nature making it pretty easy to navigate especially for the non-technical user that has limited for no expertise. The basic features are user friendly and helps you to get used to the platform.

Cons

For businesses with larger audiences it can get quite expensive due to the way mailchimp counts contacts. Customer service is pretty poor for those on the lower tier which I don't agree with. If using the platform you're a customer and should get the same level of service.
