### "Powerful and User-Friendly Email Marketing Platform"

May 26, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Mailchimp has been highly positive and seamless. It is a fantastic all-in-one marketing platform that reliable handles newsletter distribution and automated customer journeys. It saves a lot of time by integrating smoothly with other marketing platforms, making audience growth much easier to manage.

Pros

What I like most about Mailchimp is its user-friendly drag-and-drop email builder and robust automation capabilities. It makes creating, scheduling, and managing email marketing campaigns incredibly simple. The platform also offers detailed audience segmentation and clear analytics, which are essential for tracking open rates and boosting campaign performance efficiently.

Cons

The pricing escalates quite quickly as your contact list or subscriber count grows, which can be tough for small businesses or individual users. Additionally, managing and cleaning up duplicate contacts inside the audience dashboard can sometimes feel a bit tricky.

### "User-Friendly Interface with Strong Value, Support, and Marketing Performance"

April 28, 2026

5.0

Mailchimp has been a valuable addition to my website particularly in helping me capture email leads and convert them into sales. The platform makes marketing straightforward and efficient, even for someone without advanced technical skills. In terms of value for money, the paid plan offers strong returns, especially considering the range of tools available for email marketing and automation. I found it to be a worthwhile investment for growing my business. Customer support was also impressive. The team was responsive and helpful, assisting me promptly when I had issues logging into my account. Overall, my experience has been positive across marketing effectiveness, support quality, and overall value.

Pros

Mailchimp stands out for its ease of use and intuitive user interface. Compared to other email marketing tools, the platform is relatively simple to navigate and not overly complicated making it accessible even for beginners. The layout is clean and well-organized, allowing users to quickly find key features such as campaign creation, audience management, and analytics. Overally the user experience is smooth and efficient which makes managing email marketing tasks far less overwhelming.

Cons

What I liked least about mailchimp is that the HTML codes for email capture landing pages can be quite long and a bit overwhelming especially for beginners who may not be familiar with code. Additionally while the platform generally handles spam filtering well, there can still be occasional challenges with emails being flagged or needing extra setup to ensure optimal deliverability.

I switched because GetResponse was relatively expensive and more complicated to use. I needed a platform that was easier to navigate and more cost-effective, and Mailchimp offered a simpler user experience while still meeting my marketing needs.

### "Unsolved Tech Support, No REFUND for product not working as promised. "

June 17, 2026

1.0

I would not recommend Mailchimp based on our experience with their SMS automation product, technical support, and customer service. We paid for Mailchimp because we needed a working SMS keyword automation for a major giveaway promotion. The basic function we needed was simple: a customer texts a keyword to the Mailchimp SMS number, receives the automated SMS response, and completes the entry process. Unfortunately, the product did not work consistently. Multiple test phone numbers texted the assigned keyword, but the entries did not reliably show in the dashboard, did not appear in the queue, and did not receive the automated SMS response. Out of several attempts, only a small number completed successfully, which made the product unusable for the promotion we were trying to launch. The bigger issue was the support experience. I spent days trying to troubleshoot this. I rebuilt flows, archived contacts, tested multiple phone numbers, used different browsers, cleared history, tried incognito, and attempted to provide screenshots and documentation. Instead of getting clear help, I received confusing and conflicting answers. One support interaction suggested the problem was a trigger setting. Another response said the SMS action needed to be placed immediately after the trigger. Another said contacts needed to already be in the audience before texting the keyword, which defeats the entire purpose of a text-to-join keyword campaign. At one point, the Mailchimp chat window itself became part of the problem. The live chat would not close, and because it would not disconnect, I could not access support normally. I repeatedly tried to close the chat and even sent multiple messages asking for help because I was stuck in the chat window. Mailchimp later acknowledged this as a known behavior their development team was addressing, but that did not help me when I was actively trying to solve a time-sensitive campaign issue. The file-sharing process was also frustrating. Mailchimp asked me to upload screenshots through a portal, but the portal would not let me upload anything. Attachments I tried to send by email were apparently redacted by their system, which meant I was being asked to provide proof and documentation but was not given a working way to do so. After all of this, we asked about canceling and receiving a refund because the product was not working for the purpose we purchased it for. The response we received was that the only way to cancel was by downgrading to the free plan, but we were told the account could not downgrade again because it had already been downgraded before. That was extremely frustrating because the prior downgrade was not us canceling after using a paid account successfully; it was the account moving from a trial/previous plan situation. Instead of resolving the issue or refunding us for a product that was not working, Mailchimp offered pausing the account as an alternative. Overall, this was one of the most frustrating software and support experiences I have had. We paid for a service that did not perform reliably, spent days trying to troubleshoot it, were unable to get timely or effective technical support, were denied meaningful cancellation/refund help, and lost valuable time on a promotion that depended on this feature working. Based on this experience, I would be very cautious about relying on Mailchimp for SMS keyword campaigns or any time-sensitive marketing automation.

Pros

I liked the idea of having email and sms marketing abilities in one platfrom. However, I have yet to get them to work sucessfully.

Cons

Customer Support, Billing Support, Tech Support - all chat, no actual help. No real live person to help, no real answers when their product does not work as promised. No support when their product fails.

### "A Bare-Bones CRM"

The experience is positive, but leaves room for improvement. At the price we pay it's a great partnership.

Pros

I think it's an easy CRM! I can easily build campaigns, push messages, and track clicks! For the price it is a no brainer.

Cons

### "Hits the target!"

June 18, 2026

5.0

Pros

I love Mailchimp! It helped me create and send my emails to a targeted group. It also helps me track who opens the email so that I can create a follow-up list. The user interface is easy to use and it is easy to manage. I also like that it aids in getting around the spam filter for most inboxes. As a person who relies heavily on communication it really helps me stay in contact.

Cons

Not much that I don't like about mailchimp, after I figured out how to create and launch the campaign it was easy to use and saved us a ton of time answering questions from unread emails.

### "Polish Your Marketing Emails"

June 8, 2026

4.0

Overall, I've had a good experience with Mailchimp and found it to be a capable and reliable email marketing platform. While the pricing can be frustrating to navigate, the tools and functionality have generally delivered what I need.

Pros

Mailchimp makes it easy to create professional-looking email campaigns and manage audience communications. The platform offers a strong set of marketing tools and automation features that can scale with a business's needs.

Cons

The pricing structure can be difficult to understand and predict, especially as your audience grows. It isn't always clear which features are included at each tier, making it harder to evaluate overall value.

### "Try Mailchimp When Building a Newsletter "

June 30, 2026

5.0

I enjoyed using it over the last five years, but I ended up switching to a free product. I made this decision because of the overall cost that is associated with the product and I was not able to get a free version of this product.

Pros

I loved using this product to create my newsletters during the last 4 years. It was very helpful and useful to me while I was working on my newsletter. I found it was easy to use and I was able to learn about the product with the right tools.

Cons

I really don’t like the fact that they charge you for the use of the product, especially when you have very little experience with the product and a very few email contacts.

Overall, I would highly recommend using Mailchimp as an effective tool for anyone looking to increase their presence via email marketing.

Pros

Our non-profit organization has been using Mailchimp for a number of years now and have never encountered a problem. It is an efficient tool to increase the number of people that become interested in our cause and therefore desire to participate by helping generously.

Cons

At the present time, we have no negative comments to share about Mailchimp since it appears that they are always available to help or answer any questions one may have.

### "Great tool-- super fun! We love using Mailchimp! "

May 26, 2026

5.0

Pros

I absolutely love the look of Mailchimp-- it's super easy to use and our entire organization loves it. The contact management is super easy and very intuitive-- really quick for bulk emails! Customer support is quick and friendly! I think we've gotten great value for the cost of this tool!

Cons

Sometimes I like to take the formatting of mailchimp and use it in a different software to actually send the emails-- that can be a little annoying, but not the worst!

### "Easy to use Newsletter Software"

March 5, 2026

5.0

I've been using Mailchimp for years. Its easy to use. Probably the easiest newsletter tool I've used over the years. Its easy to send test messages and schedule a send.

Pros

Its so easy to use. Just drag and drop. Its easy to add photos, text boxes and I like the template options that make it easy to create and not start from scratch.

Cons

The price has gone up over the years, making it a little less affordable for small businesses. Sometimes, I click on a box in the newsletter to change the text and have to remember to go to the right side to edit the text.

### "MailChimp is the Best Email Platform Out There"

April 27, 2026

5.0

At my last organization, we were looking for an afforadble email marketing platform that allowed for more customization to support our branding, had more mobile responsiveness, and offered more robust features in terms of marketing capabilities with targeting. It was the perfect solution for us.

Pros

MailChimp has an excellent user interface. It's clean, easy to use, and allows for your emails to look elevated through their native templates. You also have the ability to customize templates, which can help with branding even more. They're all responsive to mobile and look sharp. It's simple to build and maintain a contact list in there, as well, which helps with targeted marketing needs.

Cons

Can't think of anything I really disliked about using MailChimp. It was a perfect system for all my marketing needs.

### "Why Mailchimp is a win for small nonprofits!"

March 9, 2026

4.0

For small nonprofits, Mailchimp works well because it is designed for simple email newsletters, announcements, and community updates rather than ecommerce marketing. It is easier for small teams or volunteers to use and typically offers more affordable pricing for smaller contact lists. In contrast, some competitors are built for data-driven ecommerce marketing, which most nonprofits do not need.

Pros

I used Mailchimp for several years for several non profit clients that I service from a marketing perspective. I found it works very well for my smaller non profits because it is easier to navigate. There are so many drop and drag templates that help them with their messaging. It also is more cost effective then some of the other options.

Cons

A drawback of using Mailchimp is that it offers less advanced data tracking and segmentation compared to platforms. This can make it harder to personalize communications based on supporter behavior or engagement. However, this is for advanced communications which many small nonprofits do not need.

October 27, 2025

5.0

I've been using Mailchimp for several months and it has streamlined my email marketing efforts. The templates look professional and the automation features save a lot of time. Reporting is also insightful and easy to understand.

Pros

Mailchimp offers a clean, intuitive user interface with plenty of powerful features. It makes designing emails and automations quick and easy, has robust analytics and segmentation tools, and integrates smoothly with other platforms.

Cons

### "Reliable Marketing Tool But some improvement needed"

December 22, 2025

5.0

Mailchimp is a dependable, well‑designed platform that works especially well for small businesses, nonprofits, and teams that want a simple, effective way to manage email marketing. It’s not perfect—pricing and data management can be pain points—but overall, it delivers strong value and a smooth user experience.

Pros

Mailchimp offers solid value, especially for small teams or organizations that need an all‑in‑one marketing platform. The free and lower‑tier plans cover most essential features, though costs can rise quickly as your audience grows.

Cons

### "User-Friendly Email Marketing Platform With Great Automation Tools"

May 15, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Mailchimp has been positive. The platform is easy to use, offers strong email marketing and automation tools, and provides helpful analytics to track campaign performance. It’s a great option for businesses and individuals looking to manage marketing campaigns efficiently without needing advanced technical skills. While pricing can increase as your audience grows and some advanced features require higher-tier plans, the overall functionality and ease of use make it a reliable and effective marketing platform.

Pros

What I liked most about Mailchimp was how easy it is to create and manage email marketing campaigns, even for beginners. The platform offers a user-friendly interface, customizable email templates, and helpful automation tools that make it simple to schedule campaigns and engage with audiences. I also appreciated the detailed analytics and reporting features, which made it easy to track performance and improve future marketing efforts.

Cons

One thing I liked least about Mailchimp was that some advanced features can become expensive as your contact list grows. Certain automation and customization options are limited on lower-tier plans, and the platform can occasionally feel restrictive compared to other email marketing tools. I also found that navigating some settings and audience management features was not always as intuitive as expected

### "A Review of Mailchimp’s Email Marketing Tools"

March 30, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Mailchimp has been largely positive. It’s a reliable and beginner‑friendly email marketing platform that makes it easy to create, manage, and send professional‑looking campaigns. The drag‑and‑drop editor, pre‑designed templates, and clear workflows make day‑to‑day email marketing straightforward, even without extensive technical or design experience. I found the automation, audience segmentation, and analytics especially valuable. Being able to track open rates, click‑throughs, and engagement helps refine campaigns and understand what works. The onboarding guidance and built‑in tips also make it easier to get started and stay organized. That said, as needs grow, pricing and feature limitations become more noticeable. Costs can rise quickly with larger contact lists, and some advanced automation or customization requires higher‑tier plans. Overall, Mailchimp is a strong, dependable tool for small to mid‑sized businesses and individuals, offering a good balance between ease of use and marketing functionality, particularly for users starting or managing moderate‑scale campaigns.

Pros

What I liked most about Mailchimp is its user‑friendly interface and ease of use. Creating email campaigns is straightforward, with clear workflows, drag‑and‑drop templates, and helpful prompts that make it accessible even for beginners. I also appreciated Mailchimp’s automation and audience management tools. Features like automated email sequences, audience segmentation, and performance analytics make it easy to target the right audience and track campaign effectiveness without needing advanced technical knowledge. Overall, Mailchimp stands out for combining powerful marketing features with simplicity, making it a strong tool for small businesses and users who want professional‑looking email campaigns without a steep learning curve.

Cons

What I liked least about Mailchimp is its pricing structure as your contact list grows. Costs can increase quickly once you exceed the free or lower‑tier limits, which can feel restrictive for small businesses or users with growing audiences. I also found some limitations in design flexibility and automation depth unless you upgrade to higher‑tier plans. Certain advanced features—such as more complex customer journeys, detailed segmentation, or customization—aren’t as accessible on basic plans. Additionally, the interface, while beginner‑friendly, can sometimes feel crowded or unintuitive when managing multiple campaigns, audiences, or settings. Overall, while Mailchimp is powerful and easy to start with, cost escalation and feature restrictions can be frustrating as your marketing needs become more advanced.

### "A little harder. A lot better."

October 20, 2025

5.0

There is a decent learning curve, but our team seems to have the system down now. We have explored the SMS integration a bit, but use it primarily as our email engine for our church subscribers.

Pros

Mailchimp has beautiful templates, as well as the ability to reuse past campaigns (emails) as a template. It's a bit more complicated than sending a simple email, but the end result is much more attractive. Also also love the integration into our website for others to subscribe on their own!

Cons

There is no "just send a quick email to a designated list" option. I can email a draft to the system to import it into the body of a template, but I still have to set like 12 other things to get it sent to my audience.

5.0

Overall, it’s been a solid and dependable tool. It does what it promises, saves time, and removes a lot of friction from email marketing. It’s reliable, easy to work with, and a platform I’m comfortable sticking with.

Pros

It’s genuinely easy to use. I didn’t have to spend hours figuring things out — everything felt intuitive. Creating campaigns is straightforward, the templates look good out of the box, and I trust it to actually send emails reliably.

Cons

Pricing can creep up as your list grows, and some of the better features are locked behind higher plans. It’s not a deal-breaker, but you do notice it once you start scaling.

### "“Mailchimp Unpacked: Simplicity Meets Marketing Muscle”"

April 1, 2026

4.0

Mailchimp is perfect if you want something that works out the box, looks good, and scales reasonably well without a steep learning curve. But if you’re chasing precision marketing, deep automation, or razor-sharp segmentation, you may eventually outgrow it.

Pros

At its core, it’s still one of the easiest email marketing platforms to use. The interface is clean, drag-and-drop works without drama, and you can go from idea to campaign fast. Automation flows are solid and beginner-friendly Templates look modern and don’t require design skills Analytics are clear. Integrations (Shopify, WordPress, etc.)

Cons

Pricing climbs fast as your list grows (and it will) Advanced segmentation isn’t as sharp as more specialized tools The platform can feel bloated if you only want email Customer support on lower tiers is… let’s say “character building”

3.0

Overall, it's quite a frustrating experience. I wish I could try other email campaign handlers, simply because I'm having a bad time with this one, but I am not the one the makes the decision on that one.

Pros

Plenty of tools available to the user. It keeps acrew a large audience even if you don't pay for a higher plan, but will block you from sending emails without paying.

Cons

The interface is very busy and the webpage is frustrating to navigate on older hardware. The way I want to use it and the way it wants me to work seem to be at odds with each other.

Response from Intuit

January 26, 2026

To help bridge the gap between how you want to work and how our platform flows, we recommend using the Custom Journey Builder to automate your workflows; it often bypasses the manual navigation hurdles you’re encountering. Regarding performance on older hardware, switching to a leaner browser like Microsoft Edge or clearing your cache and cookies can significantly reduce the memory load of our more asset-heavy pages. As your audience scales, we also suggest proactively segmenting inactive subscribers to keep your contact count and your costs aligned with your actual engagement needs.

### "Solid Choice!"

5.0

Overall, I definitely recommend Mailchimp for simple marketing. We've used it for several different nonprofits I've been apart of and it suits our needs perfectly for donor interactions, visitor follow-up, etc.

Pros

It has an easy user interface and is pretty intuitive to learn. I like the features it has to integrate images and text boxes within emails to make them look professional/branded. The data management piece is also robust and clean.

Cons

The free plan is limited and the pricing for features can get expensive fast, though it is robust. While the interface is easy-to-use, it can sometimes be overwhelming visually or look cluttered.
