Unfortunately following the changes, I did look at alternative free packages through other providers, who were more generous. Pros Easy to use interface with handy mobile app that made sending and analysing data on the go easy to manage. There are a lot of features and tools I’ve yet to use, and I think the automatic flows could use some UX help, as it can be confusing, but I might just need more training on it. Pros Mailchimp makes starting out with email marketing extremely simple, it offers tremendous features and templates, and opens up an avenue of marketing with really high ROI. Cons I wish that they gave more reporting and data analysis for the lower tiers of memberships, along with A/B testing. I understand that it does give incentive to move up a tier though. May 29, 2025 4.0 We ran monthly campaigns utilizing Mailchimp for several years. With MailChimp's tracking data and Goggle Analytics we could track bounce back rates, unopened emails and unsubscribes. At first there was great ROI using MailChimp, the ROI has diminished in the last year. Pros Setting up an email campaign is straightforward and easy. Tracking open rates, bounce backs and number of Unsubscribes is built in. Cons More and more people and companies are detecting MailChimp as spam, reducing its effectiveness. There is the larger issue of young people turning away from email as the primary means of communication. MailChimp may do better pivoting marketing campaigns to social media verticals. Pros MailChimp has been a buddy all along. Mailchimp has been useful for reaching out for data collection which has a lot of research value. It keeps record real good and quite easy to navigate. Cons I would have lived it if Mailchimp is customised at a cheaper rate. It's very much a tool I needed for my small business and I'm grateful as well for the affordable pricing. Pros I like that it has easy to use templates and that I can save all my information and contacts easily. Cons I dislike that the platform itself is not as user friendly as I would like it to be and there are too many options that look too similar within their templates. After uploading my contacts, and exploring some of the help options, contacting somebody for help, I was still lost and was recommended another platform so moved to that. Pros I eventually could upload my contacts list easily, after lots of editing, my downloaded list to match the required template. Cons I had no idea how to use it and there was very little support. I found it hard to navigate and understand. Pros In my opinion, Mailchimp is a complete and intuitive emailing platform. I’ve been using it for six years already. I find that the statistics features are very complete and helpful to grow your audience. Additionally the free plan can be enough to send simple emailing. Cons I think the biggest con of Mailchimp is the price.
