Perfect for first-timers who want to send out bulk email campaigns. You can add images, CTAs and all necessary things to your email. Cons You can't use Mailchimp without branding in the free version. There's tiers for most levels of service you would need, and can easily scale up as your newsletter grows. It integrates well with my organizations CRM as well. Cons Some metrics that Mailchimp provides can be fairly opaque, such as what they qualify as an 'often' 'sometimes' or 'rarely' engaged subscriber. Pros I liked the price and that were functions for the free tier. The ability to make different lists is so helpful in dividing people. Cons With the free tier there is no customer support. Literally, they do not allow it. So when it stopped working even though everything was in the correct spot, we were unable to fix it. Had to go to a paid level for them to say, "Oh yeah, that's weird, not sure why that happened, I'll reset it". We had to them to fix their own software glitch. Review Source CL Chris L. I would recommend this product to other users. Pros It is a simple email service that is easy to integrate with any application. It can be used to send marketing and transactional emails. Templates are available to help users customize their email design. Cons The thing I like the least about Mailchimp is the inability to undo sending transactional emails within a short time period after they have been sent. Gmail has this feature where a user can revert sending an email within 30 seconds of it being sent. This would be a useful feature for Mailchimp to build. Review Source Tim I. You can have multiple lists if you want to send different content to different people. Pros Can reuse past newsletter as starting point for next newsletter which makes it easier to keep the look similar. Cons Would like to see captions with pictures and text. Pros Mailchimp allows me to categorize all of my client lists into compartmentalized audiences, organize campaigns according to those specific groups, and send well-designed marketing materials in a timely manner. Cons Some of newsletter/email templates are too rigid in their design, and if I want to create something truly unique, I have to resort to custom/blank creation forms in order to achieve the goal I want. It helps users build their audience base/contact list, and it doesn’t require the sender to have to know the ins and outs of HTML coding, which can be complicated for some. It also helps with organizational skills but there are better options out there. Pros The Mailchimp email platform is the perfect starter program for creating marketing emails when you don’t really know what you’re doing or are just getting started and want to look professional and polished without putting in a ton of time and effort building emails. The templates are super user-friendly and the drag-and-drop features can be figured out by all skill levels. Cons Mailchimp starts getting expensive as your customer contact list grows and/or you want to start branching out from the basic options that are available for free. Now there are so many more to choose from. Pros I am not a graphic designer but MailChimp makes building emails easy to do for non-designers. It got the job done for me for sending weekly marketing campaigns and I did not need to get resource help. The integration with social media platforms to push the campaign as posts were fairly easy and added another touchpoint with the customer. Lists are easy to upload. Cons Management of the lists is always the aspect of email marketing that gets overwhelming for me and I am not sure that MailChimp takes that stress off me. There can be a lot of lists and it can get mind-boggling to keep up with, though unsubscribes are streamlined so that's good. I have used this feature to accumulate sales for marketing. Pros Mailchimp was one of the first platforms that I used when I started with virtual sales. They are cost-effective, and a great tool for people who are new to business. Cons I didn't have much understanding on how to use the platform, so I really didn't know how to use the platform to get the most our of it early on. There have since been commercials and YouTube videos to guide new users on how to properly use this product.
