Mailchimp looks professional and is easy to design. Tracking and looking at statistics is made easy through reports. I have imported (and exported) users and both processes are quite easy. Adding names manually is also easy. I'm very happy with it and I can integrate with Less Annoying CRM, which makes integration with contact management seamless. Pros Mailchimp is easy to design and easy to deploy. I also really like that my emails are archived so that people can read past editions. I found it robust, the customer service friendly and for doing the job for newsletters and marketing emails, really solid. Pros Mailchimp is a neat solution for smaller enterprises or individual needs - free up to 500 contacts is great if your list is small. You get plenty of features and integrations for this price. Segmentation is basic unless you buy a Standard (or up) package. Cons For me as an author with a large email list, MailChimp simply is not competitive for the number of contacts I require. If you have a small niche list this is a fantastic starter product. Database/contact cleansing is basic compared to other tools I've used. Templates are decent and you can do a lot as long as your design requirements are not top-end. Mailchimp is a cost effective way to communicate effectively with each one of your potential and current customers. Cons Since I was a new business owner, I needed the advantage of someone to walk along side and give me direction, instead of assuming that I already had the knowledge and experience acquired to roll out a mailing and marketing plan. Mailchimp isn't super user friendly and doesn't have great tie-ins to Shopify. It was nice, though, to have Mailchimp-hosted forms. Pros It was helpful to have surveys/forms (outside of signup forms) living within the email marketing platform. Cons Mailchimp was just kind of clunky and not super user friendly. It would be better if the glitches were taken care instead of ignored. Feels like the company only cares about getting paid and not about helping consumers. Pros Easy to use for a small business. You can use it to send emails and sms messages. Which makes reaching contacts all at once easier and faster. The price is also not horrible when you look at other companies that offer the same thing. Cons The free version was nice at first. But you can't add that many contacts. We purchased a paid subscription and it's better but there are annoying glitches that cost money. They charge for emails that may have been duplicate contacts. You can try to remove said contacts but it may or may not happen. But you will be charged if it does even if you tried to remove the contact. I learned how to deal with the quirks and embrace what was good about it. If it had integrated better with Meevo, I would not have left the platform. For my transactions, I decided to use mailchimp cause it's simple to create transaction notifications without writing code and now I have priority support for help when I want to venture further. For the advantage of simplicity, we used Mailchimp for the amount of features it offers and its scalability. Delivery rates here were good, and the platform had a good reputation for reliable delivery and also good customer support. In terms of the integrated marketing tools and automation capabilities, it all fit perfectly into what we required. Pros Its convenient drag and drop email builder and full analytics dashboard make it stand out. Through the behavioral targeting capabilities and advanced segmentation options, you enjoy unmatched control over campaign personalization. Cons Better duplicate handling is needed in the contact management system. More complex flag branching would be great for the automation builder.
