It's a great option to start with, especially due to its free plan. If the cost becomes prohibitive as your email list grows, you can always export your contacts and switch to a different platform. Email is a powerful marketing tool, and Mailchimp provides everything you need to create visually appealing emails, automate drip campaigns, and capture leads with forms. Pros I love Mailchimp! As a small business owner, it's been great. Starting out with its free plan was a huge plus, and I've been able to grow my email marketing efforts thanks to its easy-to-use features. I especially appreciate the ability to create automated drip campaigns, design beautiful emails, and capture leads with custom forms. Cons While Mailchimp has been great for me, there are a few drawbacks. Once you surpass the free plan's limits, the cost can quickly escalate. Additionally, designing emails on a mobile device or tablet can be a bit cumbersome, and I've occasionally encountered glitches when sending longer emails on desktop. July 15, 2025 4.0 Mailchimp was used to send out marketing emails and I had a good experience. Just wish they would increase the ability of it to be user-friendly. Pros It made it easy to send out mail to a large group of individuals. We never had any issues with individuals getting the newsletters monthly. Cons It wasn't as user-friendly as I had hoped. " January 13, 2025 3.0 Mailchimp is fine if you truly need the bare bones to set up your emails. It does the job. You wont get any additional bells and whistles, support help, 3rd party integrations, etc without having to go through a maze to get there. The "out of the box" solution is very minimal. If you are a decent sized brand would recommend a more robust ESP. Pros Mailchimp's email builder is easy to use and understand and you can make several emails very quickly. I like the analytics and pretty much use the same saved template every time. Pros I like the price built-in layouts. There are built in templates or you can save your own. It’s also very helpful to toggle between mobile and web views. Cons I don’t love the picture layout options. I wish there was a “caption” layout where it formats a picture and caption easily. To be fair, you can just add a text box below the picture and adjust the text size, so there is a workaround. I also wish I could add 2 pictures side by side. Review Source SH Suzy H. Cons Sometimes it can be a little confusing when working on a few different mail blasts. " October 20, 2024 1.0 Imposible resolver un problema, nos cobraron y no nos dieron el servicio que pagamos. Puras comunicaciones formateadas, nadie que respondiera, intentamos comunicarnos con una persona y fue imposible, puras respuestas idiotas y nunca pudimos enviar los mail que pagamos. Este era el tipo de respuesta que nos enviaban por mail: Hola, Gracias por comunicarte con el soporte de Mailchimp. El asunto sobre el que usted se comunica es una consulta relacionada con el cumplimiento. Seré sincero al informarle que Soporte de Producto (mi departamento) no puede ayudarlo con consultas relacionadas con el cumplimiento. Para buscar una resolución, deberá responder al correo electrónico que recibió del departamento de cumplimiento. Trabajan únicamente por correo electrónico. Una vez que responda a su correo electrónico, ellos responderán después de haber revisado su respuesta. Pros No tengo nada bueno que decir. Podría señalar que es fácil de usar pero en realidad lo fue solo al comienzo, al primer problema nos quedamos sin el servicio y perdimos el dinero. Cons PAgamos 700 dolares por un servicio de un año, mucho dinero para nuestra organización, para poder enviar mail a una base de datos de 50.000. Logramos enviar un mail y la cuenta luego se bloqueo. Nunca supimos por qué, las respuestas de bost no decian nada, nunca nos dieron una respuesta, fue imposible comunicarnos con la empresa y perdimos el dinero y la cuenta. I had several lists and it was easy to choose which one to email. It was also very easy to create emails and include links and graphics. Pros Mailchimp is a trusted email marketing platform with great tools. It's the first one that comes to mind and I've used it for years at my prior employer! Cons They don't have a free option for smaller users. They only offer a 1 month free trial which if you don't email very frequently probably means 1 or 2 emails before having to start paying. Cons I wasnt able to pay for the premium version however, some of the better templates are blocked behind a paywall, totally understandable.
