Sr. Project Manager Computer Software Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Reach the right audience with your email campaigns" December 16, 2024 5.0 I am new to email marketing campaigns, but I will say it is awesome what you can do with this tool. We can also strategically target audiences based on the tags we assign them. Pros We tend to have very successful campaigns through Mailchimp. I do like all the additional stats you get and all of the different featurs avaialable. Cons It take a while to figure out the steps involved to launch a campaign and it is not intuitive. Also, how you can not set up an audience from the campaign itself is not great. Pros It's the easiest to use for creating funnels that are specific to the type of person who you're contacting. Cons The sheer amount of available options can be overwhelming. It's ok, but I have also had some patients say their emails ended up in their junk folder. Pros The drag and drop feature allows me to drag and drop my own custom videos and images, and it has a clean interface. Cons Mailchimp offers a free plan, but with the free plan I have a lot of restrictions such as dynamic content unless I upgrade and pay premium. Review Source DH Des H. Cons It was slightly time consuming to manally put my clients emails in mail chimp, because I couldn't automatically export it from another software platform that wasnt recognized. Mailchimp was a lifesaver for us it handles mass communications smoothly and has made reaching our entire audience stress-free process. Pros What I love most about Mailchimp is how easy it is to design professional-looking newsletters without any design experience. Cons The free plan feels quite limited once you start growing your list. I would put all this work into it and it would look good on my end, and weird when I sent it out. Pros I like how user friendly it is and how the program integrated with other programs. It's a good program! Cons I don't like how the text would look normal when I was working on it, but it would look all wonky when I went to send it out. Weird spacing and formatting! I like the analytics and pretty much use the same saved template every time. Pros I like the price built-in layouts. There are built in templates or you can save your own. It’s also very helpful to toggle between mobile and web views. Cons I don’t love the picture layout options. I wish there was a “caption” layout where it formats a picture and caption easily. Pros The templates and user interface to create emails made me want to invest time into building an eye catching campaign, there are tons of tutorials and tips on youtube that help you use this tool for sales marketing. Cons I wasnt able to pay for the premium version however, some of the better templates are blocked behind a paywall, totally understandable. I think Mailchimp is a great tool for anyone who wants to promote a product, build a brand, or stay in touch with customers Pros I liked how easy it is to use, even for beginners in email marketing, as it uses templates that look very professional and simple at the same time. It also allows you to see how many people open your emails, which helps you learn what your audience likes. Cons Some of the more advanced tools, like automations and extra integrations, are only available in the paid version. You wont get any additional bells and whistles, support help, 3rd party integrations, etc without having to go through a maze to get there. The "out of the box" solution is very minimal. If you are a decent sized brand would recommend a more robust ESP. Pros Mailchimp's email builder is easy to use and understand and you can make several emails very quickly.
