July 8, 2024 5.0 My overall experience with mailchimp has been excellent over the years I've been using them for well over 12 years now has never have any issue the platform just keeps getting better and better and I recommend them to friends that are getting started online all the while and they love the platform as well. Pros I just love MailChimp been using them for years They allow you to get started with an autoresponder for free most don't They also allow you to have up to 2000 subscribers for free which is a lot of money with every other responder. Cons There's very few things that I could say lease about MailChimp I can't even think of one right now because they keep updating the platform and making it better and better it even integrates with a lot of softwares and e-commerce tools so no cons for me. The onboarding was straight forward and the tool easy to use. Later on we wanted something with more Power and Functionality and switched to Brevo. Pros Mailchimp has an awesome UX. The Dashboard is easy to use and the functionalities work, how they are supposed to. Cons In comparison with other tools Mailchimp is more expensive. Pros Easy to create a link for use on website signups Cons User management is a major risk to business data security. 2factor auth has issues if phone is damaged as can no longer log in, Cannot reset 2 facctor auth. Its on for everyone or off for everyone. ... so cant bypass for one user to relogin again. User P/W cannot be set by the admin. Revoking a user when they leave deletes all their marketing config - therefore they must remain active. User support could not help, passed around on chat for a long time before they stopped responding. I could go on... It does the job as far as email marketing but I found the restrictions and lack of features frustrating when compared with other providers. It's fine if you need a simple email marketing solution but if you need more functionality and features then there are other better options out there. Pros It's a solid option for email marketing - the number of subscribers you get on the free plan is good and it has nice, easy-to-use customisation options. Cons The free plan doesn't offer automations which is annoying if you're trying to set up delivery of a free ebook or other incentive. Once you move on to the paid plan, segmenting the audience is clunky - if a subscriber is in more than one segment then it's counted twice towards your overall subscriber count.
