### "Perfect, easy-to-use tool for beginners and small businesses!"

March 1, 2026

4.0

Overall, it's been a fantastic experience. It was the perfect tool to help me launch my small business marketing campaigns, and it integrates seamlessly with my website.

Pros

Pros: What did you like most about Mailchimp? I absolutely love the drag-and-drop email builder and the huge variety of pre-made templates. It makes it incredibly simple for someone without coding experience to create professional-looking newsletters. The user interface is very clean and intuitive.

Cons

The pricing jumps quite a bit once you pass the free tier limits. Also, figuring out the difference between tags, segments, and groups for contact management took a little bit of a learning curve at first.

Hi Kazi! Thank you so much for the kind words about our builder and templates, we’re thrilled to be part of your small business journey. We hear you on the learning curve for contact management, so here’s a quick way to keep them straight: think of Tags as internal labels you assign to people (like "Local Customer"), Groups as categories your subscribers can choose for themselves on your forms (like "Monthly Newsletter"), and Segments as dynamic filters that automatically pull people into a list based on their behavior, such as whether they’ve opened your last three emails. While we know the pricing jump as you grow can be a big step, we’re committed to providing the advanced tools and integrations you need to make that growth worth it. We’re so glad everything is syncing up perfectly with your website, and we can’t wait to see your next campaign!

### "Yes, it sends emails.. for an increasing fee each month—with minimal value add over time. "

February 25, 2026

3.0

Overall I think Mailchimp is an adequate, yet outdated tool. It sends emails. It manages contacts and lead flows. That's about it which is frustrating for the price and poor customer support.

Pros

I like that it does what it was designed to do: send emails. I think it has strong value in the area of spam filtering as emails typically land in-inbox. It is also quite easy to use. When you are trying to do A/B testing or manage lead flows, it is effective in that area.

Cons

Customer support is lacking, especially on free plans. You wait in long queues often for subpar support. The user interface is bleak and that's largely due to lack of features. Contact management is difficult. The price constantly increases without additional features or value. Definitely not worth the extreme cost.

### "One of the most complete email marketing solutions, at a price"

October 4, 2025

3.0

Several years as agency making email campaigns from customers' lists for the automotive industry in Europe.

Pros

One of the most reliable email marketing platforms, with a lot of years in the business. They also have the Mandrill service for transactional emails. Lots of tools, integrations...

Cons

For agencies, they forced that the pre-paid credits expire in a year, and the list plans aren't worth the money unless you send a lot of frequent mails. If you send campaings from time to time to different customers, unless your volume is huge, fees make it unpayable. If you are an end user, then the story is different and prices will make more sense (maybe that's their idea of customers right now).

Reason for choosing Mailchimp

Their pre-paid credit plan was (when it was created) a great investment for agencies.

### "Powering our retail email messages."

March 4, 2026

4.0

Customer retention is important as an E-Commerce Manager. I do this with our contact management and weekly retail newsletters. It is very user-friendly to novices, yet expanding your following is quite expensive.

Pros

The convenience in the area of the drag-and-drop user interface is impressive that our marketing and sales team can create beautiful promotional products emails with ease and in a short period of time, without the assistance of a designer.

Cons

The high-intensity pricing structures are not so good in terms of value when our customer base is increasing and customer service is virtually useless when you fall into their rigid spam filtering software.

### "Easy to Use Email Marketing Platform with Great Features"

May 7, 2026

4.0

Overall my experience with Mailchimp has been positive. It is a reliable platform for managing email campaigns, newsletters and customer communication. The interface is user friendly and the reporting tools give useful insights into campaign performance. It works well for both beginners and teams that want an organized email marketing solution.

Pros

What I liked most about Mailchimp is how simple it makes email marketing. The drag and drop editor is easy to use and creating professional looking campaigns does not take much time.I also liked the audience segmentation and analytics features because they help track engagement and improve campaigns easily.

Cons

One thing I did not like is that some useful features are locked behind higher pricing plans. As the contact list grows the pricing can become a bit expensive for small businesses.Sometimes the automation setup also feels slightly confusing for first time users.

### "Easy to learn, hard to master"

April 9, 2026

4.0

Whilst its a bit expensive, using mailchimp is easy to learn, harder to master and well worth committing to if you want to push your email marketing strategy.

Pros

How easy and simple it can be to use, but the depth of how far you can take your email marketing is there.

Cons

Sometimes the user interface can be a bit confusing and misleading for those without experience, making simple tasks take longer than expected.

### "Good for beginners"

February 20, 2026

Fair overall but good for initially starting out with email marketing and email list management for a small business.

Pros

Mail chimp was inexpensive, easy to set up, and was easy to deploy for initial email marketing for my small business.

Cons

Mailchimp had few customizable forms and options for less expensive paid plans. Importing contacts was a little laborious.

### "Mailchimp: EDM's made easy!"

January 19, 2026

4.0

Overall, Mailchimp is a fantastic EDM software with plenty of options for being creative, but also has premade templates to make the process of making a campaign easy and quick. Whilst it does have some cons, its pros outshine them!

Pros

Mailchimp offers a great way to market our conferences, from registration dates to sponsorship opportunities. The UI is very easy to follow, clean and everything is grouped together in a way that makes sense. The ability to schedule the emails has been a game-changer for weekend deadlines and when things fall on holidays.

Cons

The ability to save a copy of audience data before deleting audiences could be slightly faster and easier to do; it feels like it takes a while to do this, especially when you have 50+ audiences. We are also experience some issues with the button shapes not always saving when sending an EDM.

### "Simple and economical "

March 19, 2026

4.0

I’ve used this service for years. Simple to use, I can make emails to my customers as fancy or basic as I like. Love being able to copy and edit previous campaigns so that I’m not always starting from scratch.

Pros

Love that I can use a free account for my small business. As the business grows, I’ll want to expand to different email lists, which is an option with the paid account.

Cons

I need to flip back and forth between the app and the online version to use all of the email creation tools. Not sure why they’re not all available in one place.

Easy to use features since selecting address book is straightforward and any adjustments are on few windows

Pros

It makes sending out bulk emails very easy as you can easily reach all your contacts with one email and ease of knowing what has gone to clients as you dont have too many messages to sift through

Cons

Spam filtering at times flags critical messages particularly for first contact hence forgetting to check spam may result in loss of business

### "Great Email Marking Tool, But Can Seem OVerwhelming"

May 13, 2025

5.0

I like Mailchimp because I have a lot of email marketing and web design experience and I find it very straight forward and easy to use. So many different kinds of campaigns can be created and you can integrate it with third party systems.

Pros

Mailchimp is affordable and offers to many tools to help small business owners market themselves.

Cons

It can be overwhelming for someone who is not familiar with email campaigns to use this system. There are a lot of steps to go through to set-up a campaign properly & effectively. You may need to hire someone to manage it for you.

### "Easy to use - Great for small businesses!"

May 12, 2026

4.0

Overall Mailchimp is excellent and easy to implement. It requires very limited knowlege/skillset outside of simply creating content. The templates make for very visually appealing emails that attract the customer's eye.

Pros

MailChimp was very user friendly and created an easy platform to create marketing and sales emails for customers. The templates were easy to use and implement and and the value in terms of cost per email was excellent.

Cons

We had trouble with our emails going to our customer's spam folders. We attempted multiple fixes and still had a lower read rate than we hoped. That is one issue we were never able to figure out.

January 29, 2026

I require effective marketing as a Client Services Manager. I do this to keep the guests informed. It is the best in small teams but is expensive with contacts.

Pros

Cons

The spam filtering is sometimes excessive and blocks our valid booking confirmations annoying guests who are waiting to get their details.

### "Keeping the guest informed in style."

January 10, 2026

5.0

In hospitality, keeping in touch with previous guests is key to repeat bookings. I use this tool to send seasonal updates and it works well. It helps us to keep a professional image without having to hire a dedicated designer, though the part of contact management needs constant cleanup.

Pros

The drag-and-drop builder is graphically intuitive and it is easy to design beautiful newsletters about our latest offers.

Cons

The pricing is very high when you exceed certain subscriber levels. Managing multiple audience lists can quickly get messy and contacts can easily be duplicated.

### "Easy to use email marketing platform with room for improvement. "

April 20, 2025

4.0

Pros

Mailchimp is one of the most easy to use email marketing software out there, due to its intuitive nature and its drag and drop email builder, which makes it straightforward to start marketing campaigns. Mailchimp pre-designed email templates are visually appealing too and they can easily be customized to fit specific email campaign purposes.

Cons

Mailchimp has no provision for affiliate marketing. Also, there is no provision currently to automate customer segmentations across marketing lists.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. Your feedback helps us understand where we can improve and better serve our community. While these specific functionalities aren't part of our current offerings, we're always listening to feedback from folks like you to understand what's most important. Features evolve, and user input plays a big role in that process. In the meantime, some of our users have explored workarounds or integrations with other platforms to achieve their affiliate marketing goals. For customer segmentation across lists, it often involves a more manual approach or using our tagging and segmenting tools within individual lists to create similar groupings.

### "A dependable, user-friendly email platform that delivers"

November 4, 2025

5.0

I’ve used Mailchimp for years and it’s consistently been a solid, dependable platform. It’s user-friendly, stable, and perfect for organizations managing fairly simple lists or campaigns. While it doesn’t have all the advanced integrations I’d like, it continues to be a go-to solution for clean, effective email communication.

Pros

Mailchimp is simple, reliable, and easy to use. It makes managing contact lists, designing emails, and tracking performance really straightforward. It’s a great tool for small teams or individuals who want to create professional emails without needing a lot of technical setup.

Cons

I wish there were more options for implementing custom HTML designs directly. The integrations could also be stronger, especially with donor management platforms like DonorPerfect.

### "Probably the best email sending tool for small businesses and startups"

July 14, 2025

5.0

Mailchimp does one job (email) and does it very well. I would highly recommend Mailchimp for any small business or startup.

Pros

Mailchimp is easy to use, powerful, feature-rich, and has great deliverability rates. I tried a few other email sending platforms, but Mailchimp stands out ahead of the pack.

Cons

The pricing can quickly ramp up since it depends on the number of subscribers you have. As a company with multiple brands, with the same user being subscribed to several of them, the cost adds up. The interface is also a bit clunky, though they've improved it quite a bit over the past couple of years.

### "Easiest email marketing on the market"

February 16, 2026

5.0

Great! I use it 2-3 times a year for certain events where I collect thousands of emails to send marketing too.

Pros

The ease of making marketing email templates and easily being able to send bulk emails. Customer support is very helpful as well whenever you need anything. I also love that I could design something beautiful in canva and transfer it over as well.

Cons

The price is like $70+ a month and for a small business it isn’t feasible to keep year around. If it was more affordable monthly in the $20 range I would keep it year around.

### "The email solution for our marketing department"

April 19, 2025

5.0

I can create reports based on the campaigns. I've organized with my team. Thanks to Mailchimp, I can use Power BI to unify the data and perform the corresponding analysis. The real-time metrics are great because I can track them immediately. They aren't decisive in making decisions, but they help if I have questions at the start of the campaigns. The editor is excellent because while I choose the campaign we will send, I can edit it and have a visual reference of what the potential customer will see. It's simple but highly recommended to better understand the target audience.

Pros

The price is excellent! It's a very affordable software and totally worth it. The interface is very fluid and intuitive. It doesn't have any unnecessary elements to distract my attention. The A/B campaigns are very well explained and organized, so reading is simple. OF course, I can create each campaign with plenty of customization and change the details I need to run the test.

Cons

This isn't a problem for me, but configuring features requires technical knowledge, which may delay implementation in some companies.

### "Mailchimp Email Marketing "

January 25, 2026

Overall, Mailchimp is a strong tool, but the increasing costs and feature limitations at lower tiers are the main drawbacks for growing businesses.

Pros

What I like most about Mailchimp is how beginner-friendly the platform is, especially for small businesses and entrepreneurs who need professional email marketing tools without a steep learning curve.

Cons

What I like least about Mailchimp is the pricing structure as your contact list grows. Costs can increase quickly, even if you’re not actively emailing all contacts, which can be challenging for small businesses on a budget.

### "Reliable and effective"

August 11, 2025

4.0

Very good. Our readers enjoy the presentation, which is critical. I have looked at other platforms but stick with it because of its reliability.

Pros

Easy to use. Good design options for newsletters, etc. An effective and quick distributor of email to lists. Segmentation has improved over the years and tags are an effective way to narrow target audiences. Scheduling of emails works well and cleans inoperative email addresses. Allows multiple users on same account.

Cons

Mailchimp doesn't seem to like some generic email addresses. It can get a bit pricey when the list size increases without proper curation. Would like connectivity with more programs, but I guess that's up to those programs.
