### "Mailchimp is a great tool for managing email marketing and anyone can use it."

April 6, 2023

5.0

Mailchimp has helped keep me connected with clients and potential clients through email. It is an easy tool to learn, anyone can use it.

Pros

This is a very easy product to use. Mailchimp has greatly helped my clients' businesses and is a great marketing tool, especially with online magazines and blogs that we manage. I highly recommend it. I had never done any kind of email marketing, and using Mailchimp was a piece of cake; very easy to pick up and learn fast.

Cons

I don't like that I can't change or resize images. I have to do that using another program and waste more time.

### "Mailchimp, the easiest way to manage mailing list and email campaigns!"

August 12, 2022

4.0

I have never had any issues with Mailchimp, their customer support has always been very fast to respond and everything just works.

Pros

Mailchimp is very easy to use with an extremely small learning curve, deployment across teams is fast and simple. In fact all the features of Mailchimp are simple to use. I also love the fact that they have a mobile app allowing me to manage things on the road.

Cons

There is nothing I don't like about Mailchimp as it fits my user case perfectly. However for extremely heavy users with large teams Mailchimp might possibly be lacking more advanced features.

### "Mailchimp email marketing gave us high conversions"

October 11, 2022

5.0

Mailchimp helped our and clients business grow through email marketing. We have highly rate of conversion through emails only.

Pros

Initially we used free versions, the results were pretty good. We could send 2000 free emails. Gradually, our subscribers increased, we upgraded to paid version. Paid version unlocked all our doors, as it provides all the analytics and trackings. This tool helped us converting many clients from emails.

Cons

We could could integrate it with our website and auto email response to whoever signed up to our services. It's easy to integrate.

### "Great for Email Marketing and Campaign Analytics, not so great for List Management"

April 13, 2023

5.0

Overall, my experience with Mailchimp has been positive. The detailed analytics have also been helpful in refining my email marketing strategies. However, the pricing can be a downside for businesses with larger lists, and the limitations on the free plan may not be enough for some.

Pros

User-friendly interface: Mailchimp has a clean and intuitive interface that is easy to navigate, even for those without much technical expertise.Customizable templates: Mailchimp offers a range of pre-built templates that can be customized to fit a business's specific needs and branding.Good analytics: Mailchimp provides detailed analytics on email campaigns, including open and click-through rates.Integrations: Mailchimp integrates with many other tools and platforms, including e-commerce platforms, CRMs, and social media.

Cons

Pricing: Mailchimp can become expensive for businesses with larger lists, as pricing is based on the number of subscribers.Limited features on the free plan: While Mailchimp does offer a free plan, it is somewhat limited in terms of features and functionality.Integrations: I really wish Mailchimp would be able to integrate seamlessly with Google Sheets to sync the campaign report data. Such as syncing the contacts who opened/clicked on a specific email campaign into Google Sheets to be able to share that data with a sales team.

### "I miss the old (affordable) Mailchimp."

September 17, 2021

4.0

While I originally chose Mailchimp for the quality, I ended up leaving for MailerLite and feel I'm getting a much better value and ROI with MailerLite.

Pros

I used Mailchimp for years and LOVED it, but moved away this last year when my subscriber list necessitated a higher-tiered plan. For many years it provided exactly what I needed (some of the time, at zero cost to me!). Their analytics are some of the very best, and since leaving I miss those. I also miss the quality of their features and overall design integrity. It felt very easy to send out a great-looking email.

Cons

Last year I started paying for my subscription list (which was fine) but as it grew quickly, I realized their plans (even the lowest tier paid plan) were jumping in price astronomically as my numbers increased. I was going to need to start paying around $80 a month for standard features and it just wasn't a good fit for me anymore. At the time of their rebrand, they changed their backend UI and it felt quite a bit LESS intuitive (it may be in part that I was so used to the old dashboard look). Though they have slick branded graphics, I don't think their icons or dashboard layout are very user-friendly. One of the only big integration fails I experienced was their Woocommerce integration (via Wordpress plugin) which didn't really work well at all during my time using it.

### "My experience using Mailchimp"

June 16, 2023

5.0

A few years ago, I began using Mailchimp for my wedding photography business. My colleague and I both found it to be user-friendly, allowing us to easily plan marketing campaigns, send client follow-up emails and newsletters. We appreciated that Mailchimp notified us if our emails were opened within a certain timeframe. Additionally, we were given the option to resend emails that were not opened. Now, I also use Mailchimp for my personal blog. It simplifies the process since I already have a list of subscribers and can easily add new ones as it grows.

Pros

Wow, Mailchimp is seriously amazing! It's incredibly user-friendly and perfect for freelancers or those just starting out with their own business or community. I've experimented with other mailing software in the past, but Mailchimp definitely stands out with its abundance of options on the free and starter accounts. With Mailchimp, you can easily segment your audience, set up automation, and the templates for all kinds of mailing campaigns are an absolute game-changer! Sending newsletters has never been easier, and I love being able to track the reading and opening rates as well as growing my subscriber list. Mailchimp is definitely a must-have tool for anyone looking to take their email marketing to the next level!

Cons

This platform is a breeze to navigate once you get the hang of it, even if it may take a bit of time to grasp the interface and functionality at first. While the mobile app may not have an abundance of features, it still serves as a superb mailing alternative.

### "With well-organized features and display is easy to use."

September 1, 2022

4.0

There are several different delivery services we could have used for our campaign. However, we decided on using the campaign creation screen because it's the most familiar and simple option. Creating a campaign on this screen requires no testing; its contents won't fail unless you remove critical parts such as the recipient and subject line. Additionally, you can create HTML emails on this screen— which allows for visually striking emails — easily. Currently, only plain text emails can be created with this service.

Pros

Sending newsletters via email is easy; there aren’t many options for editing HTML emails. Since their customer base primarily uses Twitter, it's beneficial to be able to link to other services used for email distribution. This makes it possible to send linked campaigns through emails and tweets from the service as an actor in the campaign. Recommended for first-time newsletter senders. This service can be tried for free; it's also the only service in its price range that automatically gathers subscribers from other systems and regularly sends out emails. By automating the tweets, the process eliminated the possibility of tweets being deleted. Plus, it reduced the amount of time people spent working manually.

Cons

Emailing members valuable information for free is possible through the analysis of multiple emails. Consequently, this allowed for effective email distribution.

### "Email marketing tool for small and medium business"

August 9, 2022

3.0

Overall its a good tool for small and medium business. If we go for a paid version we have more options to explore. Specially if the main business is email campaign then its best have the options to have more audience type which is available in paid otherwise you can create only one group. The price seems to be bit high for small firms.

Pros

The readymade template which can be select and proceed with our spending much time and the options to schedule your campaign is a time saviors. The integration with the forms and the audience database is a good feature which avoid the rework. Testing your email campaign with multiple version is one of the best feature.

Cons

Some times the campaign get stuck put on hold because their algorithm thinks is a spam. We have to contact their support team to release / reinitiate the campaign this is painful process.

### "Best AI Based Marketing Platform"

November 11, 2022

5.0

Mailchimp has been a great experience. Their customer service is excellent and their product is very user-friendly. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an easy to use Email marketing solution.

Pros

There were a few things that I liked about Mailchimp. One was that it was very easy to use. The interface was straightforward and user-friendly. Another thing I liked about Mailchimp was that it had a lot of integrations available. This made it easy to connect my email list to other platforms and tools that I use.

Cons

The least liked thing about Mailchimp is that it can be difficult to learn how to use all of its features. Additionally, some of the more advanced features can be confusing or difficult to use.

My overall experience with Mailchimp Transactional Email has been great. It is easy to use and the interface is user-friendly. The templates are well-designed and it is easy to customize the look and feel of the emails. The reporting features are also very useful and it is easy to track and analyze the performance of the emails. Overall, I have been very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend it.

It's designed to be intuitive and easy to learn, with a user-friendly dashboard, drag-and-drop editor, and step-by-step tutorial.2. Affordable: Mailchimp offers an affordable pricing structure, with plans ranging from free to $299 a month. This makes it a great choice for small businesses and start-ups.3. Cons

### "All-In-One News Latter and Email Marketing Platform"

November 29, 2020

5.0

It's a very useful platform for business owners, and it can help to improve the performance of a marketing campaign by giving us some insights about the campaign. It helped me a lot to build a strong repetition and to be able to not spam my customers and let them run away. I wish they can add more features and keep updating this great platform and we will keep talking about it and recommending it to our friends.

Pros

They have a Free plan and I really like it because It allows me to send up to 2000 emails monthly. Very easy to use and the UI is very clean and it's for everyone. Mailchimp Drag and Drop option are great because it's very simple. I really like their Integrations with a wide range of popular platforms. Everything is in one place and you really don't need any other Platforms. I can create and build a contact list for my marketing campaigns/promotions and to reach out to my customers. It allows me to automate my emails and get an analysis of the performance of my campaigns. They have a lot of templates, and you don't need to create anything from scratch. I'm getting a lot of information about my promotions, and which one is performing very well and this helped me to focus more on some "winning products". They really helped to solve my Marketing problems, and they really helped me to reach my business goals and to build a good repetition and I really can't change it to another platform because my customers already recognize MailChimp emails. They have also, a great support team and they offer a lot of tutorials and blog posts to help us understand how Mailchimp works.

Cons

They can improve their reporting system because it's not accurate sometimes. They can give us more control to build an email automation system. After all, they are doing a great job, and they keep adding some great features and I feel like they are listing to us and giving us what we need exactly for a better experience.

Pros

### "Stop looking for e-mail marketing software. Mailchimp is your companion!"

Sometimes hard for beginners, but the most perfect tool for the advanced marketers.

Pros

Everything is possible and with their 3rd party integration is just doesn't stop there. Features are literally endless.

### "Robust emailing marketing software with lots of third-party connections."

November 1, 2017

4.0

Pros

MailChimp is a very popular email marketing platform that makes it easy to send out mail campaigns. We use a great plugin for our gravity forms pushing anyone that submits a form on our website to a specific MailChimp list, group, or segment. This makes it easier than trying to regularly upload a list each time it changes. It's popular for good reasons as setting up templated emails is really simple, guided by a step-by-step process with additional coding and advanced setup features. It also allows for RSS feeds to be sent to a blog signup list. Creating automatic drip campaigns is another feature we utilize heavily and works great at increasing follow-up. The split A/B testing is a great way to test the messages of your marketing campaign. Being able to see the reports on clicks and users makes it one of the best features of MailChimp. We use it as a way to know our warm leads we should be reaching out to.

Cons

Although being easy to use, the few spots you get snagged up on are better resolved through a Google search than a chat to the support people. They stink. The other big con to MailChimp is the way it handles lists, groups, segments, and signup forms. Because MailChimp bills you for every last contact you have with your lists, creating duplicate lists can be an expensive mistake. The only way to separate contacts without getting double billed is to use segments and groups. This creates a challenge when using the signup forms, as the person will have to choose their preferred group to join. It would be better if MailChimp either made the signup forms group based or allowed for separate lists without duplicate charges. The other big downside to MailChimp is the difficulty with managing a user's email preferences. For example, if a user only wants to receive monthly emails instead of weekly emails, creating that option can be a bit tricky without some careful planning. It would be simpler if MailChimp created a frequency option as a customer profile option. This would fail-safe against sending out too many emails to someone that wanted fewer emails.

Pros

Cons

### "Useful pioneer in simplifying mass email marketing"

November 26, 2018

4.0

Our company has mostly used Mail Chimp as a recruiting and advertising tool to reach candidates for potential job opportunities. MailChimp was one of the first professional template based email marketing tools to send out mass emails to potential clients, recruits, etc. Over the years, they've refined their products and added social networking tools as well as other current trending tools for outreach. They are quite useful in adding these important tools to small to mid-sized companies that could benefit from these tools but may not necessarily have the budget to develop and utilize these tools in-house. In addition, the tools are quite affordable and there are several free sample versions/credits you can use to test out the product. The most useful tool I have used consistently with MailChimp is their automated mass-email campaigns. Provided that you obtain the list based on the candidate/clients interest and not through spam based lists, you can send out polished lists for automated outreach to large groups of individuals. We have also used MailChimp to conduct employee and client satisfaction surveys, etc. In general, lots of tools for smaller companies to utilize to stay relevant and competitive with larger companies and you can scale the account/costs to your individual needs. There are limitations with FTC/internet/marketing laws that smaller companies may not be aware of, but you learn quickly. If you know how to do MS Office mail merges, this product works.

Pros

Intuitive with a lot of options for smaller businesses without dedicated marketing teams to offer polished outreach tools that are normally inaccessible. This product allows sales teams, company marketing efforts, and recruiters to all have outreach tools for relatively cheap. Free options to test out products initially to see how it fits your company/departments needs.

Cons

There are a lot of limiting factors based on anti-spam marketing laws (emails), FTC, etc., that MailChimp doesn't necessarily let you know before purchasing and sending out campaigns. You learn quickly limitations such as the inability to send out emails to mass email lists through MailChimp because they don't want to violate these laws. Your lists must be organically obtained (such as through your website or ATS landing site, job ads, advertisements, etc.) in order for them to be used through MailChimp. So forget purchasing an email list from a recruitment organization and then emailing thousands of cold candidates through MailChimp, you will be flagged. Also, you need to be aware AND track candidates that asked to be removed from future emails and ensure you do NOT email them again to stay compliant.

### "Expensive but Effective! The first Newsletter tool that comes to mind."

February 18, 2019

4.0

MailChimp is quite a popular tool that is frequently used by budding enterprises because of it's generous Freemium model. I started using MailChimp around 3 years ago and I've never been happier. This tool helped me understand where I went wrong with my campaigns, improve them and made me save a LOT of money by deciding not to hire a separate design team. After using it for a few months, I realized that switching to one of MailChimp's paid models would benefit me way more.

Pros

1) Template Compatibility: The templates that you choose in MailChimp are optimized to fit on all screen sizes. Whether the recipient has a smartphone, a desktop, a laptop or even a tablet, your content will be delivered to him/her the way you want it to be. 2) Scope for better future campaigns: What I mean by this is - MailChimp gives you an edge or an insight into how your campaigns are doing. Based on the statistic report, you can refine and optimize your campaigns and make them more effective. 3) Engendering Interaction: Creating a Survey or a User Form has never been easier. 4) No HTML knowledge required: As I mentioned earlier, MailChimp has a myriad of optimized templates to choose from which helps you become much more creative with your campaigns. There is no need for a separate Design Team unless you don't already like the templates that are available.

Cons

1) User Interface: MailChimp does have a user-friendly interface(s). However, the problem is that they change the User Interface every time they roll in a new update. Yes, this will be easy to master in a short while, but that still requires a NewsLetter team to get accustomed to the new interface. This wastes a lot of time. 2) Zero Tolerance to Affiliate Marketers: If you're an affiliate marketer and you've just stumbled upon MailChimp, turn the other way. I'm not sure what the penalties are but I know they're quite severe. 3) Expensive: Though the Freemium version of MailChimp is rather generous, the paid subscriptions can surely burn a hole in your pocket when you find yourself wanting to send more emails and build your subscription list.

Overall Mel chimp has been amazing at keeping our supporters and our gift or‘s and donors completely up-to-date and has helped us organize campaigns and keep us on the right track in order to keep people informed and notified as what we are doing now in in the future.

Pros

I would say what I like most about this software is that you can literally customize your newsletters and your millers or whatever you’re using inside the software and it can make it all your own and everything looks completely customizable and you even have the option of doing a lot of amazing things even from your own cell phone at times.

Cons

The cons I would say mostly is that it is a lot harder with the mobile app version using it but using it on iPad definitely is a lot easier and it is a little bit I think too many options I would say. I would like to see it condensed

### "MailChimp made email marketing very easy and cheap"

August 21, 2019

5.0

I've been using MailChimp for my email marketing. It's been so amazing. It's so amazing that I've adopted it as the email marketing software of choice even when I'm teaching my digital marketing students. Being very easy to learn, easy to use, and also free to start, I've kept recommending it to people. It's such an awesome software.

Pros

MailChimp is an email marketing software. I so much love this software for so many reasons. These reasons include: 1. Easy to learn: MailChimp was the very first email marketing software I used. Even though I was only a newbie in email marketing when I started using it, it was so easy for me to learn. 2. Easy to use: Using MailChimp for email marketing is very easy. It has templates that only need to be edited to give beautiful email outlook. There's no need to do html coding of the email - this could have needed some technical know-how. 3. Landing Page Builder: With MailChimp I'm able to build landing pages for products. I didn't need a website to build a landing page. I used MailChimp for that. 4. Facebook Integration: It's possible to Integrate Facebook to MailChimp. This is very easy. No programming knowledge is required. By integrating Facebook to MailChimp, it was very easy to run Facebook adverts for custom and lookalike audiences using my email subscribers list. It's also easy to run Facebook adverts with lead generation objective right from MailChimp. 5. Free to start: Something very beautiful about MailChimp is that it can allow a user to have up to 2,000 subscribers, and be able to send up to 12,000 emails per month on the free mode. This was very helpful as I never had to spend any money on email marketing for my startup. MailChimp helped me save cost. 6. Analytics: MailChimp have provision for email analytics. This helped me measure some metrics.

Cons

Not withstanding all those benefits, I have some things I don't like about MailChimp. 1. Affiliate marketing: I'm also an affiliate marketer. I've read that MailChimp is not very kind to affiliate marketers. They imposed a very strict measure on the type of product to be marketed. This has made me not to consider it in my affiliate marketing venture. 2. Cost on the long run: Another thing is that after a business has exceeded the 2,000 subscribers, or 12,000 emails per month benchmark on the free mode, one will have to purchase a package to keep using the software. Apart from those two cons, MailChimp is generally an awesome email marketing software.

### "Best for beginners and experts alike"

My experience is positive. I don't intend to switch from Mailchimp.

Pros

After testing other similar software, I came to the conclusion that Mailchimp is the best if you're just starting out. Reasons: - it's super easy and quick to create an account. You can start sending emails right away. - the free plan is very generous (2,000 subscribers, 12,000 emails/month - and if you clean your list regularly, the ex-email addresses you had on your list won't count toward your billing. Simply select them and click archive and you're done). - you can automate, schedule emails, segment your audience by sign-up date, sign-up source, previous campaign activity (whether they opened the previous or not), automation activity, etc. - you can create landing pages, embeddable sign-up forms, send an automated welcome email or subscription confirmation. - create tags so that you can easily manage your audience. - contains easy email builder. - emails are less likely to end up in the spam folder - compared to Mailerlite. So, for experts, it has all the tools you need for email marketing and for beginners, when you're just starting out and you're curious what's all the hype about email marketing, it offers a generous free plan so you can test what works for you and what not. It's important for beginners to have a place to test their knowledge and Mailchimp's free plan is simply the best for that. Just thinking that the general open rate is between 20-30%, that means if you have 2,000 subs, you can expect a min of 400 opens, which does not guarantee sales.

Cons

The contact support is zero/non-existent for the free plan. If you want to send emails in the business/ make money online/ affiliate marketing niche, your account will be suspended immediately by a bot. And no one will ever reply to your email to reactivate your account. If you use the free plan and run into some issues, try searching for solutions in the knowledge base or online.

Switched from

Mostly because of the limited features they offered.
