All campaigns which I have created for myself or clients have been running smooth. All contacts are stored and maintained properly in their contact listing. It is very handy to edit and publish any existing campaign without any issue. Pros I would like to mention that I love their UI which is user friendly and the templates which they provide to setup a campaign. It is very useful which even a beginner can manage easily after reading their support documentation. Cons Recently I noticed that they have made some changes in their setting page which has made difficult to find some admin options to check the sites connected, api keys etc. Though after doing a bit of Google-ing you can find it but it was better earlier. It's extremely easy to use–unlike other email services–yet advanced features (such as segmentation, email scheduling, merge tags, etc.) are available for those who want to use them. I would never switch to another email service, even if it were free because of how comfortable I am with Mailchimp! Pros The templates provided by Mailchimp are extremely easy to use as the drag-and-drop elements have been designed gorgeously. Importing contacts from a CSV file is convenient, and the segmenting features are advanced. However, the thing I like most about the service is the user-friendly UI that allows me to navigate between audiences, campaigns, and templates seamlessly and intuitively. Cons While there are some reports available, the advanced ones do not come with the standard package that my company is paying for. Reporting, from my experience, is very basic and should be more readily available to people of all plans in order to evaluate email marketing campaigns. It isn’t perfect, takes time, and I’m pretty sure I’m not getting the most out of it that I could be, but I use it multiple times a week and can’t imagine the business without it. Pros Initially the design elements drew me to Mailchimp over competitors. I was able to do a lot more than with others I had looked at. I know there is so much more depth to Mailchimp in terms of tracking and data collecting, I appreciate how the platform gives prompts in real time (strength of a subject line, suggestions on when to send, how many links to add, etc) but I wish it would make it easier to understand all the data it collects. I’m the busyness of running the business, I haven’t been able to take the time to learn it fully to maximize the usefulness. Still I find it a crucial tool for reaching out clients for both promotional and informational purposes. Cons There is a tediousness to creating campaigns that I’ve had to work through — always editing my brand typefaces and colors in. I wish those were settings you can set once and be done. As mentioned before, understanding the depth of all the features offered I wish was easier as I know it would be useful! I can also send targeted messages to segments of my audience. The analytics are very powerful as they give me insight into who is thinking about taking my services since I can see the number of times an email has been opened or the links a prospect has clicked on. This allows me to put those prospects into my follow-up system so we can try and close out their business. Pros It is quick and easy to create campaigns and they look good. Mailchimp maintains all my lists of members, customers, prospects etc so I have everything in one place. I can segment my audience so I can target certain people e.g. those without a membership, with certain campaigns. I can also integrate it with TeamUp, my main business software, via third party app Zapier. This means that as a member is added/updated in the TeamUp, or their membership status changes, the change is reflected in mailchimp automatically. Finally the analytics are excellent. Cons I was sad to see that the feature to schedule a campaign to go out at a certain date/time has been removed from the free version. Reason for choosing Mailchimp We were highly recommended mailchimp by a business collaegue who was already using it, so we actually didn't consider any other options. Apprezzo l'integrazione con qualsiasi builder di wordpress.Dopo alcuni anni di utilizzo sono passata a Brevo perchè il piano free e il piano base erano troppo limitati come numero di contatti. Tuttavia ci sono alcune funzioni che davvero mi mancano e che ho trovato solo in mailchimp come il pulsante Resend to non Openers e la facilità di gestione delle campagne anche da mobile. Sicuramente il software migliore per iniziare per usabilità chiarezza e piano free. Potrebbe anche essere il software definitivo per i neofiti. Pros Estremamente intuitivo ed estremamente popolare, sicuramente è la prima scelta per tanti che si affacciano al mondo newsletter e campagne email. If they can resolve above issue I think this application will more great. Pros In Mailchimp, they offer 2000 free mail sending capacity for beginners. It helps a lot who newly entire to the marketing carrier. Because of those, more people attracting to the Mailchimp and they continue with payments afterwards. And Mailchimp has the amazing inbuilt facility to design our customized email campaign template manually which other Softwares may not offer. That also attract people to use this application. Cons Mailchimp disables the import facility once they detected the high bounce rate from the audience. In that case, people cannot import more emails to the current audience without using manual email adding. Because of that, there is a trend that people show less continuing. So as a solution, if Mailchimp can add a mail verifier part first and add the good once to the audience I think it will help to the users and user may lead to continue without left. The drag and drop email creation module is also preferred. Mail marketing is easy with Mailchimp. Pros Mailchimp is a full-fledged vehicle with a wide range of features. Among its features, we can emphasize ease of use, intuitive design, and easy teaching. But the main advantage of using MailChimp is the ability to open a free account, which is ideal for start-ups. Cons On the other hand, MailChimp is becoming more and more expensive as your business grows. A lot of MailChimp users are unhappy about it and this seems to be the biggest drawback. We were able to switch to Mandrill in a single day and immediately saw dramatic improvement. As necessary, we later built out support for bulk sends and black list checking and scrubbing. All in all it was an easy process and a good product. Pros Mandrill provides a simple and well documented API and has libraries and integrations available for many major web frameworks and languages. Making use of it for simple email sends is a fast and easy process, and it provides additional functionality for black lists, white lists, bulk sends, static IPs, etc. Their dashboard makes it extremely simple to see all the emails sent to a given address along with full content and reasons why sends failed or were delayed, which is a great for debugging and testing. They also provide analytics and send, receive, open, click, and bounce rates. Cons The service used to be much cheaper, but costs went up sharply when it was reabsorbed back into Mailchimp. They allow you to build your business without breaking the bank. Pros I like how many other products integrate with mailchimp. That makes it really easy as a startup especially in ecommerce. I like that the email creation is WYSIWYG so I can quickly create beautiful emails with zero coding experience. Cons I wish it had a journey builder like active campaign and many other email platforms. That would round out mailchimp really nicely and make them my only option for email marketing. We are able to finally make money from our lead database. Pros We have been using Mailchimp on and off for years. But, we made the ultimate switch to them about a year and a half ago. What I like most of about this software is the ease of you. Regardless of your abilities, anyone in our company can send an email! There are tons of templates to use to easily create an email and deploy it. Additionally, our web developer or graphic designer can hop on and easily send/create a more tailored email to our needs. Right now, we utilize Mail Chimp to send a minimum of 2 emails per week. We rely heavily on the metrics of the emails - open rate, engagement rate and ultimately revenue from these emails. We are very satisfied with the service we receive. The reports are easy to read and very reliable. Cons There is a learning curve! So once you master this, creating emails is very easy. Pros Ease of building the template with examples in the Mail Chimp database gave me a great understanding of how to create graphics that would better align with the trends of today and how to better communicate with my donor base. Sometimes starting from scratch is intimidating but the support staff is very helpful and available. Cons Sometimes navigating where a campaign / eblast / structure is setup within the database can be tricky. Begin reading about the different setups within the database before building. I like to generate one look and duplicate for future endeavors. Sometimes I had a hard time locating the original in my Mail Chimp base. It's made marketing so much easier for us, especially considering that we don't have any experienced marketers on our team! Pros Mailchimp is intuitive and has a lot of built-in features that make it easy for a novice marketer to set up effective campaigns. I work for a small business, and we need tools like this that don't require a ton of experience since we have limited resources and staff. As a church, we look for lo or no cost items that will allow us to save money but still get our needs met. MailChimp does that. We may feel differently as we grow and need a more robust service. Pros We have been using mailchimp as our email service provider for the last 4 years. The product is easy to use and simple to understand. It's been very reliable. Our emails get through and we have been able to send a TON of emails with the free version. We store all of our graphics that we use in our newsletters on the site. We've never run into any hiccups with the use of this product. Cons The thing I like least about this product is managing the lists. It's probably not that hard and maybe a YouTube video would clear up my challenges with it. But I do not find managing the lists easy or simple. That said, we tend to send emails to one list and that seems to cover our needs. But I think when we need a more robust system, we may have to upgrade to a different email software provider.
