### "User-Friendly Interface with Strong Value, Support, and Marketing Performance"

April 28, 2026

5.0

Mailchimp has been a valuable addition to my website particularly in helping me capture email leads and convert them into sales. The platform makes marketing straightforward and efficient, even for someone without advanced technical skills. In terms of value for money, the paid plan offers strong returns, especially considering the range of tools available for email marketing and automation. I found it to be a worthwhile investment for growing my business. Customer support was also impressive. The team was responsive and helpful, assisting me promptly when I had issues logging into my account. Overall, my experience has been positive across marketing effectiveness, support quality, and overall value.

Pros

Mailchimp stands out for its ease of use and intuitive user interface. Compared to other email marketing tools, the platform is relatively simple to navigate and not overly complicated making it accessible even for beginners. The layout is clean and well-organized, allowing users to quickly find key features such as campaign creation, audience management, and analytics. Overally the user experience is smooth and efficient which makes managing email marketing tasks far less overwhelming.

Cons

What I liked least about mailchimp is that the HTML codes for email capture landing pages can be quite long and a bit overwhelming especially for beginners who may not be familiar with code. Additionally while the platform generally handles spam filtering well, there can still be occasional challenges with emails being flagged or needing extra setup to ensure optimal deliverability.

Switched from

I switched because GetResponse was relatively expensive and more complicated to use. I needed a platform that was easier to navigate and more cost-effective, and Mailchimp offered a simpler user experience while still meeting my marketing needs.

### "Solid Email Marketing Software, Product Continues to Evolve"

April 2, 2026

4.0

Overall we had a positive experience. We were very early adopters of Mailchimp and used it for many years. We were able to grow our list considerably and for some team members that were not super technical, we were still able to train them on it which was encouraging.

Pros

Pretty easy to use overall, support was always responsive. The product continued to evolve over the years and we did get a lot of use out of it.

Cons

Compared to some other similar softwares we've used at our hospitality group, the pricing made some jumps over the years that was a little frustrating.

### "Great entry level email marketing platform but you are likely to out grow it and its expensive for what it is"

April 23, 2026

3.0

so / so but we have outgrown it now and looking to move away and use another platform. We use it to take sample requests and notofy customers when items are back in stock

Pros

Mail chip offers easy to use features and guides you through running email campaigns for new users. It really is a great easy access email platform. Very easy to use.

Cons

In my view Mailchip tries to be all things to all people. As an ecommerce business we need more commercially centred email marketing tools. While Mailchimp has been a good servant to me it is expensive for what it is and a tad big brother telling you what you can and can't do and is overly intrusive regarding its abuse metrics when you are simply sending an email to previous customers about new ranges you are launching.

### "Chimp Does the Heavy Lifting"

March 2, 2026

4.0

Very positive overall. reliable, intuitive, and well-suited for what we do. So long as you don't create newsletters (as an example) that are overly long and have too much content, the ROI can be good. Drilling down on users is important to me to see who is clicking and reading what.

Pros

The dashboard is really easy to use and the templates are pretty good. One of the big plusses is mailchimp canva integration. Pricing is reasonable for what you are getting. The mobile versions of the emails sometimes are different form on-screen.

Cons

There are WP integration security issues that have come up by my hosting provider. While I keep all my software up-to-date, I have to keep scanning/repair software running in the background at all times. Sometimes verifying a website can be a process. An easier solution would be nice, ie: verifying website by email address only.

### "MailChimp is the Best Email Platform Out There"

April 27, 2026

5.0

At my last organization, we were looking for an afforadble email marketing platform that allowed for more customization to support our branding, had more mobile responsiveness, and offered more robust features in terms of marketing capabilities with targeting. It was the perfect solution for us.

Pros

MailChimp has an excellent user interface. It's clean, easy to use, and allows for your emails to look elevated through their native templates. You also have the ability to customize templates, which can help with branding even more. They're all responsive to mobile and look sharp. It's simple to build and maintain a contact list in there, as well, which helps with targeted marketing needs.

Cons

Can't think of anything I really disliked about using MailChimp. It was a perfect system for all my marketing needs.

Switched from

[Constant Contact](https://www.capterra.com/p/31898/Constant-Contact/)

Constant Contact could not offer the features that MailChimp had. It was clunky, not easy to use, and did not allow for the best mobile responsive templates or customizations the way our brand preferred.

### "Easy to use mass mailing system great for quick changes"

May 4, 2026

2.0

Pros

We’ve used Mailchimp for a variety of internal and client-facing campaigns, and it’s been reliable overall. The biggest advantage is how easy it is to get campaigns built and out the door quickly without needing a lot of setup. The template builder is straightforward, and segmentation tools are good enough for most standard use cases. It’s easy to manage lists, schedule sends, and track basic performance without digging through a complicated interface. For teams that need something dependable for regular email communication, it covers the basics well and doesn’t require a ton of training to use effectively.

Cons

As needs grow, it can start to feel a bit limiting. More advanced automation and segmentation aren’t as flexible as some other platforms, and you can run into constraints pretty quickly if you’re trying to do more complex campaigns. Pricing can also climb faster than expected as your list grows or as you unlock additional features, which makes it harder to justify at scale. It’s a solid platform for straightforward email marketing, but once you start needing deeper customization or more advanced workflows, it may not keep up as well as some alternatives.

### "A Reliable and Versatile Tool for Email Marketing"

April 4, 2026

5.0

I’ve used Mailchimp in many ways, not only for sending campaigns but also to integrate it with external systems like our management software and website. It’s been a valuable tool that helps keep all our communication organized and professional.

Pros

I really appreciate how solid and reliable Mailchimp is. It offers great integration options, even through APIs, which makes it easy to connect with almost any tool or platform.

Cons

The pricing can be a bit high, but considering the quality and the features you get, I think it’s worth the cost.

### "The Best Tool for Small-to-Medium Businesses"

April 2, 2026

4.0

Mailchimp's customer support team have been very helpful during the onboarding and regular use of the tool. They are quick to respond and very willing to dive into the nitty gritty details of our account to troubleshoot issues.

Pros

MailChimp is incredibly intuitive and has some of the best pre-built templates and segments for small to medium sized businesses. The pricing is extremely competitive, particularly for nonprofits like my organization.

Cons

The reporting systems are a bit primitive and don't allow any automation. Being able to schedule regular report delivery to stakeholders would make the tool even more valuable.

### "Mailchimp a reliable marketing platform"

March 24, 2026

Overall we are very happy with mailchimp, the platform offers everything that we need and the price is fair and the use of the platform it is very easy to use and we can teach the rest of the team fairly quick.

Pros

### "Mailchimp is WORTH IT!!"

April 5, 2026

5.0

Mailchimp is well worth the subscription price if you have a larger email subscriber number. If you can use the free version, it is EXTREMELY worth it!

Pros

Mailchimp has great email marketing and newsletter tools for a lower or free price! It is easy to glean email performance metrics and tailor messages for your audience. You can tailor and design your email's appearance very easily.

Cons

One downside of Mailchimp is that the number of contacts per email list is limited by the tier you pay for. If you want more advanced email metric data, you will have to pay for a higher tier of Mailchimp.

### "Scalable Pricing"

November 20, 2025

4.0

Overall very positive. We have a large 30k email list and we are able to effortlessly send to this large audience.

Pros

The scalability of the program. It's great for start-ups right though to enterprise level features. With pay as you go pricing, it's a perfect fit!

Cons

Some things are clunky to use in the interface. Could have better layout buiding tools and options. Better tools to create embedded forms would also be welcomed. They have started to integrate Shopify better too, but compared to Klaviyo, it could be better.

I've been using Mailchimp for several months and it has streamlined my email marketing efforts. The templates look professional and the automation features save a lot of time. Reporting is also insightful and easy to understand.

Pros

### "Reliable Marketing Tool But some improvement needed"

December 22, 2025

5.0

Mailchimp is a dependable, well‑designed platform that works especially well for small businesses, nonprofits, and teams that want a simple, effective way to manage email marketing. It’s not perfect—pricing and data management can be pain points—but overall, it delivers strong value and a smooth user experience.

Pros

Mailchimp offers solid value, especially for small teams or organizations that need an all‑in‑one marketing platform. The free and lower‑tier plans cover most essential features, though costs can rise quickly as your audience grows.

Cons

The need to upgrade whenever you need to do anything beyond basic. Their customer support is slow to respond to issues.

### "Easy to get started on a free plan, but beware the limitations"

December 28, 2025

5.0

Happy with my choice for getting started in email automation. However, it really needs the paid plan. At that point, I would carefully consider which features are actually needed and maybe make a more rational choice of cost, plan, and features

Pros

Features are fairly good and easy to get started. It's intuitive to create messages - nice builder for designing mails. Plenty of analytics available and advice too

Cons

takes quite a bit of getting used to create a first audience and distribution list and the first templates. Free Plan is okay but quickly hit limitations in terms of numbers of emails and unlocking the templates

### "A Review of Mailchimp’s Email Marketing Tools"

March 30, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Mailchimp has been largely positive. It’s a reliable and beginner‑friendly email marketing platform that makes it easy to create, manage, and send professional‑looking campaigns. The drag‑and‑drop editor, pre‑designed templates, and clear workflows make day‑to‑day email marketing straightforward, even without extensive technical or design experience. I found the automation, audience segmentation, and analytics especially valuable. Being able to track open rates, click‑throughs, and engagement helps refine campaigns and understand what works. The onboarding guidance and built‑in tips also make it easier to get started and stay organized. That said, as needs grow, pricing and feature limitations become more noticeable. Costs can rise quickly with larger contact lists, and some advanced automation or customization requires higher‑tier plans. Overall, Mailchimp is a strong, dependable tool for small to mid‑sized businesses and individuals, offering a good balance between ease of use and marketing functionality, particularly for users starting or managing moderate‑scale campaigns.

Pros

What I liked most about Mailchimp is its user‑friendly interface and ease of use. Creating email campaigns is straightforward, with clear workflows, drag‑and‑drop templates, and helpful prompts that make it accessible even for beginners. I also appreciated Mailchimp’s automation and audience management tools. Features like automated email sequences, audience segmentation, and performance analytics make it easy to target the right audience and track campaign effectiveness without needing advanced technical knowledge. Overall, Mailchimp stands out for combining powerful marketing features with simplicity, making it a strong tool for small businesses and users who want professional‑looking email campaigns without a steep learning curve.

Cons

What I liked least about Mailchimp is its pricing structure as your contact list grows. Costs can increase quickly once you exceed the free or lower‑tier limits, which can feel restrictive for small businesses or users with growing audiences. I also found some limitations in design flexibility and automation depth unless you upgrade to higher‑tier plans. Certain advanced features—such as more complex customer journeys, detailed segmentation, or customization—aren’t as accessible on basic plans. Additionally, the interface, while beginner‑friendly, can sometimes feel crowded or unintuitive when managing multiple campaigns, audiences, or settings. Overall, while Mailchimp is powerful and easy to start with, cost escalation and feature restrictions can be frustrating as your marketing needs become more advanced.

Overall, it’s been a solid and dependable tool. It does what it promises, saves time, and removes a lot of friction from email marketing. It’s reliable, easy to work with, and a platform I’m comfortable sticking with.

Pros

It’s genuinely easy to use. I didn’t have to spend hours figuring things out — everything felt intuitive. Creating campaigns is straightforward, the templates look good out of the box, and I trust it to actually send emails reliably.

Cons

3.0

Overall, it's quite a frustrating experience. I wish I could try other email campaign handlers, simply because I'm having a bad time with this one, but I am not the one the makes the decision on that one.

Pros

Plenty of tools available to the user. It keeps acrew a large audience even if you don't pay for a higher plan, but will block you from sending emails without paying.

Cons

The interface is very busy and the webpage is frustrating to navigate on older hardware. The way I want to use it and the way it wants me to work seem to be at odds with each other.

Review Source

Response from Intuit

January 26, 2026

To help bridge the gap between how you want to work and how our platform flows, we recommend using the Custom Journey Builder to automate your workflows; it often bypasses the manual navigation hurdles you’re encountering. Regarding performance on older hardware, switching to a leaner browser like Microsoft Edge or clearing your cache and cookies can significantly reduce the memory load of our more asset-heavy pages. As your audience scales, we also suggest proactively segmenting inactive subscribers to keep your contact count and your costs aligned with your actual engagement needs.

Have used mailchomo for years to send promotional emails and collect clients details for our mailing list through a form. Never really had any issues. I haven't yet mastered how to use the analytics to benefit our marketing but thatvwill come in time as mailchimo provide all the relevant details.

Pros

The emails and form are easy to build, the whole process is very user friendly, taking you step by step through with drag and drop options andvthe ability to totally brand your comunications with logos text, images and colours. Easy to update data and intergrate from other products and services.

### "A Solid Starting Point That Gets Expensive Fast"

March 17, 2026

4.0

Mailchimp is easy to use and well-known, but it gets expensive as lists grow, and deliverability and AI personalization lag behind other tools (thinking of switching, actually). It offers value for small teams or organizations that need an all-in-one marketing platform that isn't too expensive for the features it provides. That said, what was once a simple-to-use platform now has this mess of bundled-together features, and I can see us quickly outgrowing it in a couple years as our contact list scales up.

Pros

The drag-and-drop email editor is genuinely easy to use. All the features integrate relatively smoothly. The creation process is pretty straightforward, and the builder is fast and easy to use. Appreciate the analytics functions that give you a solid 360-degree view of email campaign performance.

Cons

Pricing gets expensive as the number of contacts in your account increases, and you're restricted from accessing all features unless you upgrade to a higher plan. Mailchimp charges double or more for contacts if the same email address is added to more than one list, and it still counts cleaned contacts toward your total even though you can no longer send to them which is a huge complaint of mine. Customer support is also not reliable, I have to rely more on internet chat rooms and googling.

### "A good email campaign tool that does require ongoing maintenance"

February 13, 2026

4.0

Our overall experience with Mailchimp has been positive. It has served as a reliable platform for managing member communications, event promotions, newsletters, and broader marketing campaigns. The interface is user-friendly, campaign creation is straightforward, and reporting provides useful insights into engagement metrics. Despite some issues with emails being blocked and difficulties managing audiences the experience has been positive and we are exploring utilising the functionality to connect it to Salesforce

Pros

The drag-and-drop builder makes it easy to create professional-looking campaigns quickly and makes it very efficient to create newsletters and event promotions. The overall user interface is very easy to use and the reporting features allow for easy tracking of individual campaigns and overall performance.

Cons

We found that if you did not set up audience lists correctly from the very start it became quite difficult to manage and maintain them. This is very important as we found that without a decent amount of maintenance our emails were being marked as spam or rejected by mail servers

### "Even the free version is great!"

September 4, 2025

5.0

I use the free version of this for my work and liked it so much I'm using it for my home business despite recommendations for another site. There's some clunky features that I assume is because I have the free version, but it's hard to tell. It's nothing you can't learn to get used to. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to create an email list.

Pros

This is really easy to use and self explanatory. Using the Tags lets me categorize my contacts easily. I can see who has unsubscribed and who what emails stopped working. The click through data helps me know what emails my customers are the most interested in. The user interface is good, but may take some getting used to the wording. The templates are great and It's really easy to make any style of email and make it look professional. I use the free version and it's all I need, but I will be going tot he paid version if I ever need it because I've had a good experience so far.

Cons

You need to learn the wording and terms. Templates vs Plan Text Vs Regular for an example. The landing page is weird after I loggin. this may be because I have a free account, but I have to click on the small text hidden in the right corner to navigate to my hub.

### "It's a simple and powerful software"

I work with the designer to create attractive and professional-looking email campaigns. Thanks to my information about their performance, we can design specific formats that are in tune with the audience receiving our emails. I automate email sending according to the action plan I have designed using the data MailChimp provides. I don't need advanced techniques to distribute the messages. I must enter the data with the specifications I want to apply to the campaign distribution.

Pros

\- The interface is straightforward, so I can access the features I need very quickly. - The performance is excellent; the app consumes very few resources. - The real-time tracking is great for making adjustments. - MailChimp's data is organized so I can read and analyze it quickly. - Click tracking is automatically enabled, so the default settings are usable.

Cons

We can't know if the message ended up in the spam folder, which is a very important problem for us because we can't predict the most common causes.
