CC is the stodgy, hard-to-use, ugly approach whereas MailChimp is trendy, easy, and cool. I suggest MC for all of my clients when they consider a solution, especially as free to use platform for use to 12k users and 2k emails/mo. Pros Mailchimp is the best option out there in terms of design, ease-of-use, functionality and slickness of design. Drop & drag segments with easy to use templates. Ability to batch email distributions and provides a 'best time to send' AI analysis to maximize performance. Integrates easily with WordPress to create automatic lists as well as Google Analytics. Great reporting function. Free for 12k users and 2k emails/mo Cons No real cons to give. Initially, you can take their free trial which has a restricted number of emails you can send in one campaign but if you need to increase the number of emails, you can upgarde to various affordable plans. Pros Mailchimp is so easy to use and create multiple email campaigns. I like the way you can import email addresses from excel. Also very easy to personlise emails eventhough you ae bulk sending. easy to track respones whether read or opened . Cons I do not find anything negative to say about Mailchimp. Cons The free tier could be improved by increasing the number of contacts a user could have. For businesses with really huge client databases, I find the pricing to be really expensive. They also have a lot of helpful user guides and articles that give advice about marketing best practices and how to best utilize their website. The emails my organization sends out through MailChimp look really clean and simple, which is on-brand for us. Cons Unless you're an HTML wizard, MailChimp really prohibits you from creating emails that do not follow their cookie-cutter templates. For example, if you want three columns in an email you need to start with that exact template--it's impossible to edit the columns once you've started creating your template. I've also found that the website crashes really easily, especially when I'm unsubscribing more than 100 people from a list. I am able to deliver amazing, helpful content to my gym members and online clients with a simple click or scheduled email. It's also helped me design structured emails to pair with my fitness programs so rather than sending emails out all the time, the work is already done! Pros The fact that this automated mailing system is free is a HUGE bonus for me and my small business. As a small locally owned business, we already have a ton of overhead. So when I was looking for an emailing software I was searching for something simple to use and cost effective. Mailchimp delivers in all areas! They make it extremely simple to use and easy for my members to subscribe to my email list. Not only that but the emailing design is super simple! I love getting reviews of who is opening my emails and who is clicking on certain links so I know what is working and what isn't. I was previously paying $13 per month using other softwares and Mailchimp blows them out of the water. Cons I wish there was a way for emails to be sent directly to someones inbox and not their promotions tab. In my research of how Mailchimp integrates marketing, e-commerce, sales and email the company provides adequate support to those business owners who choose Mail Chimp to assist in the betterment and to help improve business interactions between fellow employees, and consumers; the integration of these business tools seems to be effective. Pros There are templates to generate newsletters or other emails. The footers for social sharing don't carry over from one template to the next in the free, smaller accounts. Cons The learning curve took some time, and the menus are not all that intuitive. When I sent the first few email campaigns, the social media footer icons didn't connect to my social media accounts. I learned to manually edit them for every email. the other issue is that I am not a programmer and connecting the sign-up form to my website took some doing, but any system would have had that effect on me. I follow up with our donors to let them know the impact they are making and I also use it to reach out to donors to solicit donations. It also serves as a contact database for all our donor emails. Pros It looks very professional and it's a must for emailing in the business world, everything looks sharp and it allows me to put pictures in our emails, to go back and re-use templates so I don't have to start from scratch each time, all these benefits are huge. Cons It has a learning curve, and sometimes I think I could be getting more use out of it if I knew how to use it better Reason for choosing Mailchimp Constant Contact cost more money than Mailchimp and even though we have 10 free instances for salesforce as a non-profit, the email software that's built in was much more limited in scope than what Mailchimp offers. It also gives you a rating for your contacts on how responsive they are to emails and other communications. Pros I tried zoho crm and mailchimp after doing some research. I really enjoyed the quality and integration of mailchimp. It integrates nicely with gmail after I switched to it. It is easy to integrate with website building software. It's a very good option for a lower budget and even free if you are just starting out. Cons I upgraded to use the outgoing email feature. This feature is buried in a menu. It needs to be higher up in the menu system. The email feature is not available at all on the mobile app. Another item that was frustrating is that in the area where you keep track of your more recent customer contact. It keeps an item in the folder as a todo when you have sent an email. I would prefer it to show in a recently sent area and not in your "to do" area. Switched from [Zoho CRM](https://www.capterra.com/p/155928/Zoho-CRM/) Zoho CRM had terrible customer service and also had issues with yahoo.com email addresses, who would not receive the emails from Zoho.
