Their ever-growing product expansion gives me the ability to reach like never before. Pros Ease of use was the no. 1 reason why I originally signed up for MailChimp. Sure, the freemium service was great, but I quickly grew out of that and upgraded. Create multiple campaigns, drips for certain types of customers, retargeting ads to here, landing pages, they do everything you'd need from an email marketing perspective. Like when you stretch a template too wide the monkey's arm is severed. That's just funny. Bottom line, it works. We had free RSS feed readers try to email out through Google in the past and the random non-working days were near impossible to figure out and customer service was non-existant. Mailchimp works. Pros Free entry level option for businesses to try - it was absolutely invaluable as a startup to enable us to increase our awareness - whilst minimising the cost to our business - it's also not just an email platform - it can manage all your leads Cons some of the default designs are rather simplistic - but this is a minor issue - you have plenty of flexibility - however for new people entering into the tool - they need to have some creative background to make them stand out. Pros Me parece genial la automatizacion de emails pudiendo hacer una campaña de marketing con la cuenta gratuita. La cuenta gratuita la puedes usar para hacer pruebas pero recomiendo la de pago por las funcionalidades que integra.También me gusta importar las listas de contactos desde un archivo .csv editado con Excel. I have tried a few others and have stayed with MailChimp through and through. Pros Its a user-friendly email marketing tool. That makes growing your email list easy and successful. This has been such a great asset for my business and their clients. Cons Recently they added tags which I love but you always had to use groups as a work around for this feature now your having to go back and update a few things due to the change. Its very easy to show dynamic content from the website feeds. Cons I feel the integration process is a bit tricky, there's a little learning curve for non-techies, sometimes, few things are hard to find. Task that is quite entertaining and easy to carry with MailChimp. Among the things the team likes the most is the possibility of creating as many templates as necessary to reach our goal and, in addition, the opportunity to modify them when necessary. Another interesting aspect, are the metrics. Element that gives us the opportunity to see, in real time, who received the mail, read it, etc. Cons Performing automatic tasks, can be a bit complicated. You have to understand a bit how that service works. But it's not something from another world, I think with a few minutes of your time, you can relate to the tool and learn to use that function. Pros Mailchimp has always been my go-to for new client accounts because it offers a version that's free up until 2,000 contacts. While other companies charge you from the beginning, most startups aren't generating revenue when they have less than 2,000 contacts in their list, so waiting for an ROI makes sense. Mailchimp does all the basics: one-time sends, automations, and I love their reporting. Mailchimp also integrates with every software under the sun. Cons Automations are not intuitive and setting them up is not a great experience. The reporting used to be awesome, but now that they've added tagging, the way "Lists" can be used has changed and it's made the software more difficult to use. Review Source Kyle B. Pros What I like most about Mailchimp is the ability to create tags and assign those tags to different people in our audience based on certain criteria. The drag-and-drop email builder is really helpful as well. Cons What I like least about Mailchimp is the reporting. I'm talking press releases or book reviews. In that case, I have to manage the database according to the privacy policy. Mailchimp seems to do the job just fine. Pros I'm a self-publisher and writer. Options from Mailchimp help me manage mailings for journalists. I have a big database of diff journalists and influencers that I combine in databases for each one of my books. Mailchimp makes it simple. Cons I'm torn if Mailchimp presents good UX or not. Sometimes I'm overwhelmed with additional possibilities. Also, I noticed that integration with WordPress could be challenging. The biggest issue with my mailings is marking my emails as spam. Mailchimp didn't bring me a solution yet. Yet. Highly recommend to anyone as the best email marketing platform. Pros Easy to use, very stylish design to the platform. Easy to sort audiences and campaigns within Mailchimp. We send out dozens of emails per week on behalf of our clients, and there have never been any issues of reliability. Cons Unless you're very well-versed in HTML, there are definitely design limitations. Templates are basic and contain a lot of whitespace, which isn't the most visually appealing. I am not a fan of the customer support system, I’ve had to contact the customer support twice, each on different accounts. On first was on a paid account and the customer support rep was very helpful, the second was on a free account and I’m still waiting for their response. I hope they get back to me because it’s still within the 30 days of support. One of the reasons I don’t like this system is because the brands I work with are mostly startup or small businesses and most of them have heard of MailChimp and they know it’s free for 2000 subscribers, however, they don’t know what restrictions the free plan comes with. And their suggestion to everything is “Contact customer support” If only they knew  I also wish the free plan came with a bit of automation but I guess what is what Drip or SendinBlue is for. I also wish MailChimp came with an inbuilt mini tutorial on how to use their software, I think people new to email marketing would find it very useful. I remember the first time I tried MailChimp I had no idea that I had to create a template and then a campaign. I use MailChimp with a lot of integrations to widen its use, I use MailChimp with Privy, Drip, Hubspot CRM and many other tools thanks to Zapier. One of the features I love about MailChimp and I’m yet to find in SendinBlue or Benchmark email is the ability to have an image header in the signup form. My review is mostly based on the free plan, but despite the flaws I’d still recommend MailChimp to individuals and companies looking to get into email marketing. Pros Mailchimp is easy, it is also the go-to email marketing software for small businesses and bloggers. It is easy to use, the signup form allows more customization options than most email marketing softwareS. The free plan allows 2000 subscribers. Cons The templates compared to other Softwares like SendinBlue, Active Hosted, Mailpoet, and Benchmark is a bit basic. The free plan while great has so many restrictions, the areas I'm concerned about are support and automation which the free plan doesn't deliver when compared to SendinBlue Review Source DM David M. It's helped me and my clients build some effective campaigns and I like the friendly tone of voice they take with us, it makes the platform less scary. Pros If you're a small business owner and just need to do basic things, send a few broadcast emails and maybe set up some automated welcome emails then Mailchimp is a great place to start. It integrates with almost anything and it's full of helpful tips about how to get more out of it. The reporting is easy to understand and I like that it suggests ways to make your email marketing more effective. You can use it as an all-in-one service for landing pages, websites and social media scheduling too. Cons It's not as easy to use as you might think. Although it doesn't take a long time to learn, I always feel like there's more I could be doing with it. Also it gets expensive quickly if you want to do things like send complex automations. It's definitely best as email marketing as I found the landing pages and website creation a bit clunky. Cons We have only run into one issue where our emails were getting jammed because we didn't realize there was a cap to the number of emails you can send per month. We upgraded our plan and have had no issues since.
