### "Perfect, easy to use and with support always available"

April 29, 2020

5.0

The main feature on behalf of me and my clients is that the incontrovertible fact that you'll automate a couple of useful things which will lead you to conversions, eCommerce sync works great and features a few useful triggers to assist you to get more sales. it's also easy to stay track of various email lists for user testing groups.

Pros

I like how easy it's to style and save templates. this is often especially helpful for product release templates. I really like how professional these templates look. I had no idea it had been this easy to make unique templates to raised display your business emails. Overall adore it and can still use it for my business and volunteer organizations.

Cons

I can't find out why numerous MailChimp emails attend Spam. I sent training videos to my company through MailChimp, and half them didn't complete training because the messages were stuck in Spam.

### "Good and Scalable Small Business Email Marketing System"

December 11, 2023

4.0

Pros

Many of my start-up clients find MailChimp's ease of use and pricing very attractive. The system integrates with many other pieces of software, and one can deploy campaigns swiftly.

Cons

Other systems at similar price points offer more capabilities in marketing automation, template management, landing pages, and form building.

### "Email marketing done right!"

December 10, 2019

5.0

It has been excellent. There was a sharp learning curve since Mailchimp has a ton of information and options (which are often buried in menus) but once you get used it, it is a very powerful marketing tool that I can not do without these days.

Pros

It has excellent campaign tracking abilities. I think the most important piece of information you need when you run a marketing campaign is to see how your end users are interacting with it. And that is where Mailchimp is exceptionally good. As someone who loves working with data fro sales, I really liked how much detailed information Mailchimp had about my campaigns. It allows me to fine tune things when I can analyse and see what is working and what isnt. I also like how you can create some absolutely fantastic looking email templates with very little work.

Cons

The interface will take some time to get used to. Its not bad but it could be a lot cleaner. Also I never really got comfortable using it on my mobile phone. Mobile experience definitely needs some work.

### "Convenient to Use, but could be better"

April 13, 2020

3.0

Overall, MailChimp was very easy to use and the simple interface really helped non-techy people like myself get it set up for our business. I hope to see more templates and cool features to help our small business like myself and can't wait to see what they have in store.

Pros

Everything about MailChimp is simple to use and offers a very friendly user interface. As a small business, it was perfect for us to get started as we were collecting customer emails and building a presence in the community. It was easy to set up newsletters and even easier to use the templates and fill in the blanks for our purposes. It was also convenient loading customer data that we get through our Wifi portal service when customers use our internet.

Cons

This may seem like a strange complaint, but the interface was almost too easy to use. The templates and ease of use almost made the newsletters seem childish and uninteresting to open. It reminded me of the emails I received from clubs when I was in college. I unfortunately also don't have the design background or skills to produce a more professional looking newsletter, so cooler or more modern templates would be very useful. Even pre-written content as templates would also be useful for common marketing events.

### "Mailchimp for Non-profits "

October 11, 2022

4.0

Overall, Mailchimp has been great minus those kinks that were mentioned but we have been using the software for years.

Pros

It is very easy to use, its manageable to create and send out to large audiences.

Cons

Sometime the software had kinks and bugs that don't reveal themselves until after the email has been sent out to your entire audience. There are also only certain programs and links you can attach to images which can be an inconvenience to my line of work. The price continues to go up when you have new audiences as well which can be inconsiderate and hard to manage for a non-profit organization.

### "Mailchimp: The Perfect Email Marketing Campaign Mobile Overview"

June 14, 2023

5.0

Mailchimp really boosted our sales and made our organization send professional email marketing offers. For all this, I am fully satisfied and greatly recommend.

Pros

While with previous solutions it was just a one-off email campaign, by installing the Mailchimp application on my phone, I was able to monitor the analytics on the go, enrich the database each time we would get new customer details and best of all, resend a campaign to reach unopened email users.

Cons

Pricing. We would love to send more email campaign, and it would be much more encouraging if additional credits were made available, free of charge.

### "Great product, especially if you're just starting out."

March 2, 2021

5.0

Very good. Mailchimp works great and gives me the data I need to market my business to my customers and know how successful things are looking.

Pros

There are a lot of email management tools out there, but Mailchimp is a great one, particularly for those just starting their lists. The free options allow you to get to know the product, and as your list grows you can pay for what you need.

Cons

Some of the integrations with other platforms has begun to drop off, which makes things a bit more difficult if you were already using a platform that is no longer supported.

### "Transforming Marketing Strategies with Ease"

January 14, 2024

Pros

It's super easy to design emails with their simple tools, and I love how I can see how well my campaigns are doing. It's not just for emails; I can handle social media and automate stuff too. Plus, whenever I have questions, their support team is really helpful.

Cons

Using Mailchimp is cool, but the pricing can get a bit much as my list grows. Wish they had more flexible plans.

### "Great to use for email marketing campaigns"

October 18, 2017

4.0

Pros

I love that it is super easy to create campaigns in the software. The editor shows you exactly what your email will look like, it is nice to remove the guessing game that other competing softwares have.

Cons

I do not like that you have to replicate campaigns to send to multiple lists. I wish that there was a way to select all lists or multiple lists to send 1 campaign to. I send emails weekly to different groups and have to replicate my campaign 5-10 times!

### "Excellent for beautiful HTML emails; terrible for list management & automation"

November 3, 2018

5.0

We are finally able to build beautiful HTML emails for our marketing campaigns and can know that they'll appear the way we intended when we send them. Plus, we aren't frustrated as we use the interface. It's buttery smooth and efficiently laid out.

Pros

I absolutely love the ability to drag & drop images into the email templates. Mailchimp offers lots of functionality that makes your emails look great on desktop and mobile. The templates speed the whole process up, but also leave plenty of room for full customization. It's easy to reuse templates, copy elements, and build incredible looking HTML emails without fussing with common issues, like 1px gaps in certain email clients or buggy drag & drop editors. It's a solid, seamless experience and interface.

Cons

List management is rough as best. They finally enabled the ability to add "Tags" to your subscribers, which is a quicker way to group them. But it's hard to keep your list updated and segmented--a job best left to automation workflows, which Mailchimp suffers at. You can segment a list up to 5 parameters, but beyond that, you'll have to upgrade--and you're limited to somewhere around 30 total data points for each subscriber. That's just not enough. Everything is static, and if you upgrade to use Mailchimp's automation abilities, it is still severely handicapped to a limited number of options and integrations. No ability to build complex workflows, just basic operations. This makes hyper-targeting your subscribers nearly impossible. You'll find yourself going back to spreadsheets and filtering your subscribers manually.

### "Email marketing made easy"

May 17, 2019

5.0

We use Mailchimp for our weekly newsletter and any other information we need to send to our congregation throughout the week. We initially began using it to make sending our newsletter easier, as our email program only allowed us to send to so many people at a time and we would have to send it out three times to get to everybody. We ended up with so much more by switching. We can now see who actually reads the newsletter, easily manage our mailing list, comply more easily with unsubscribe requests, and easily send to specific segments (Board members, Deacons, Elders, etc). We were able to add graphics and achieve a more professional look. Best of all, since we have a smaller mailing list it is free!

Pros

So easy to use. Free for organizations with smaller mailing list needs. Gives you info on who is reading, clicking, and otherwise engaging with your mailings. Easy to create professional looking newsletters with images and links. Mailing list is easy to manage, and you can create various lists and segments. Many more great features available that we haven't yet needed to use.

Cons

It can be difficult to troubleshoot when someone is not receiving emails, and occasionally emails will go to spam or not get delivered at all. It will not track opens if recipients don't enable images, but that is due to the email providers and not the software.

### "Easy to Use - Good for quick email campaigns"

December 12, 2018

5.0

Overall, I'd recommend Mailchimp because the pros definitely outweigh the cons. I've used Mailchimp at several companies (B2B and B2C) and it works for either, and for all skill levels.

Pros

I like how easy Mailchimp is to learn and use. It's easy and quick to show someone how to build an email campaign (even if they're a complete beginner). It's also easy to replicate an existing template/campaign to quickly switch out graphics, images, text, etc. without having to create a campaign from scratch.

Cons

The only thing I don't like about Mailchimp is the list management. If one contact is on multiple lists, you will be charged for that contact twice. I think it would be better to manage lists by allowing users to access a master list, and then select which sub-lists to subscribe a user to. This would also help with a master unsubscribe to remove a user from all emails going forward.

### "Mailchimp"

March 3, 2020

4.0

I have used Mailchimp since I started my business. This has been for my business as well as my clients. When a client asks for a suggested email campaign service, Mailchimp is the one I point them too.

Pros

Mailchimp is a great option for those who like to design their own newsletters. Templates are available and they are nice as well. I particularly like their analytics and integrations functions.

Cons

One thing that can be annoying is when I select "keep me logged in" it never works. If this option is not truly available, perhaps they can remove that to reduce confusion and an extra click that is unnecessary.

### "The email marketing platform that created a thrend"

January 5, 2021

5.0

I believe that Mailchimp is great for 80% of the business around, if you are looking for an email marketing software that is easy to use, I highly recommend you to take a look

Pros

Mailchimp is super easy to use and to implement with almost any CMS or software, it is easy to use and as an agency the solutions that we recommend the most to our clients that are just starting and not sure on what they want, its good and reliable!

Cons

Depending on your need, the MailChimp plan price can get steep very fast, so you got to watch, what you really need, it also as a lot of limitation for certain industry, so do your research to see if its the good platform.

### "Easy Email Campaigning"

April 6, 2018

5.0

List management, analytics specifically for the lists and gorgeous email templates!

Pros

MailChimp is a not overly intricate, easy to use, list and campaign management application with companion Android app. Connect your clients with subscribe forms, pop-ups and professional looking email templates that are a breeze to create. While your there, enjoy their pre-built forms and stats to see how your campaigns are performing. They have multiple account types including forever free and pricing for the paid plans is reasonable for what you get.

Cons

Like most software applications there is a little learning curve, but not much as the application is pretty straightforward. I haven't come across any serious downsides at this point but could say that getting back to your submission form links takes a little navigation savviness that I have yet to develop.

### "Good Not Great"

February 2, 2018

4.0

The font options and archival system need improvement. I want to be able to download pdf versions of all my campaigns and haven’t been able to figure it out efficiently. I think the mobile viewing should be improved also—the template never looks how it says it will when I’m editing it in draft (even when I preview it in “mobile”). I wish there was an easier way to have videos in the email, and to integrate surveys from other software. Archives--allow users to download PDF's of each campaign/make it easier to view, export, and print campaigns from the site. We want to archive all of our newsletters on our website so that staff can view previous newsletters and for our team to make improvements/retain a consistent theme and language.

Pros

They have a free plan available that I like best. Honestly, this is what pulled me in first because of the ability to send 10k emails easily in a month FOR FREE. It's very easy to work with, you're able to use free templates for your emails and you can get reports and analytics. It's great. MailChimp is very easy to navigate, understand, and use. There is little to no learning curve for a novice, so it is the perfect tool to pick up and learn on the fly. The UI and email template creator to create emails is clean, simple to understand and access, gives a variety of options.

Cons

MailChimp is not a one-stop shop. It is best to be paired with other apps, such as Zapier, in order to ensure the seamless integration of MailChimp and your other applications (your website, calendar, social media, etc). There isn't enough variety or personalization in MailChimp to make it the perfect platform. Also, the way to enter in new subscribers is very time-consuming.

### "Mailchimp Review"

November 6, 2020

5.0

Our overall experience has been very positive. We use Mailchimp for our weekly e-news and targeted, segmented emails and it is a very good product for those purposes. The look of our e-news is very professional due to Mailchimp's many design templates and options.

Pros

The product is easy to use and manage an organization's email lists, which we use to engage and solicit our key constituents. Email lists can be segmented into different categories. And, you can track each email's "open rate" to determine the success of the campaign. In short, Mailchimp has a lot of plusses.

Cons

Pricing is higher than some other products. Mailchimp offers a tiered pricing structure based on contacts, so as a small organization we only add "the best" contacts to keep our pricing reasonable.

Pros

It's an intuitive and easy-to-use suite of services that are excellent for companies of all sizes, but especially small ones. Whether it is a landing page, web forms, email campaigns, or subscription management, Mailchimp has it all.

Cons

I've not come across any cons, but I assume that depending on the size of the company or volume of users there may be some analytics limitations.

### "Easy to use but expensive"

December 21, 2023

3.0

Mailchimp is easy to use, but we don't use it anymore due to the value proposition. Other options are relatively easy to use as well, and the cost is just dramatically lower for the same service.

Pros

Mailchimp is very easy to use. People without experience can easily set up their emails and send them out. It's visually easy and more adaptable than other services, and it's easy to find your contacts or divide them into subgroups and lists.

Cons

It's very expensive. It's become more and more expensive over the years and the price keeps rising. Free tiers are now next to useless and paid tiers provide less and less for more and more money.

### "Mailchimp is a one stop shop for all email, analytics, and listserv management uses."

September 6, 2022

5.0

It is great, mailchimp is fun to use and has alot of good analytics that helps you see engagement.

Pros

I enjoyed the ease of use of this software. Mailchimp makes the data analytics for you so that all you have to do is be sure to take a look at the work and with emails that were signed up on the listserv. The analytics with the use of emails and consumer engagement is a great aspect to use.

Cons

I think it could be made a bit more user-friendly. Having it be more direct with instructions or more color friendly.

Reason for choosing Mailchimp

Mailchimp was our first decision to take, but with the ease of use, we never needed to consider any alternative product for our business.

### "User friendly interface and free for small businesses. "

January 11, 2018

5.0

Easy to create, free, and provides quality results. I highly recommend MailChimp for it's ease of use to all my small business and startup clients.

Pros

I use MailChimp for all of my small business clients because it is a free program if you have less than 2,000 people on your distribution list. MailChimp has several very user friendly drag and drop templates, and even has predefined outlined templates for specific types of campaigns depending on the goal. The analytic reports generated from each campaign are very easy to understand and are well presented visually. I especially like that I can have a separate login from my client so I can ensure my client's own all their marketing assets.

Cons

Formatting copy and images takes some getting used to within the templates. For example, I find there are multiple ways to center content which don't always work well with each other. I occasionally have to delete blocks and start over or add my own code to get the formatting how I want it.
