Sadly, they closed my account and I had to look for another alternative Pros It is very easy to use and to import contacts. it also let you create great emailing with the templates and beautiful landing pages. Also it is very simple to create contact lists and send your messages to specific groups Cons I think is a little expensive if you have a very big database, when you want to send unlimited emails or an specific amount, in both cases Also, I had an unpleasant experience with the customer support. You can easily export HTML's if a partner account is sending one out on behalf of your company. It's also easy to add videos, links, etc. without triggering spam filters so open rates aren't affected much. Cons Pricing structure. I am in a business where many people are on multiple lists, and they count as multiple users. Also, it charges you based on the peak of the month vs. average, so if we upload new subscriber names at once, it can skyrocket your rate. It also doesn't let you filter within certain distance of a zip code. For example, if you just want to target people in a certain city, you have to manually pull the data. Review Source RR Ruby R. It is probably one of the best known email marketing platform. It does not have super fancy features (like tagging) but works great for newsletters, lead collection and basic automation workflows. I would totally recommend to small business owners or those looking to start building an email list. Pros Ease of use - Mailchimp is great for beginners who are just getting started on email marketing. The drag and drop features for building newsletters is great. Super easy to build lists and forms to collect leads. Cons The cost is my least fave thing about Mailchimp. The more contacts or emails you have the more expensive it gets. I had to switch off the platform as it was getting too costly . Turnkey API integrations have made data processing a cinch. We'll be using Mailchimp for our email marketing needs for the foreseeable future. Pros Easy to use and very intuitive! Easily upload your current customer lists or manually enter customer emails. Mail chimp comes with turnkey integrations into Bigcommerce, Shopify, etc. Stratify your email marketing with A/B tests and easily compare results in their intuitive user interface. Cons Once your business grows large enough, Mailchimp probably won't have the tools you need for sophisticated analysis and link tagging. And as you move into the pay plans, it offers excellent new features and continuing reasonable prices. I doubt I'll run into MailChimp's limits anytime in the near future. Pros Mailchimp has been my go-to email marketing choice for years now. It has grown in features as it has grown in popularity. It is priced fairly. It has a terrific email creating engine. List management is good, (not great). Campaign management is good, (not great.) Reporting is very very good. And they've even added Landing Pages that work as well as their email, (very good.) Cons I think their List Export is the weakest part of the product. It's not impossible, but it is non-obvious. And since exporting is not something I need to do often, that weakness is pretty insignificant. Having 10+ years of experience in the digital marketing world, I don't understand why someone would want to code their entire email. Mailchimp has a ton of templates and ways to customize your email. The rare always growing with the industry and add features without adding cost. Great analytics to understand the true performance of your email. I have worked for companies that did not use Mailchimp and I made it a point for them to switch and they did. Their support lacks for free accounts, but again, that's free. It's great to keep costs non-existent, but for a paid tool and sophisticated marketing, I'd look elsewhere. Pros You can get started and have a pretty sizable email list for a small business with no costs. It's fairly simple to use, despite the major changes recently. If you need simple, automation-free email marketing, this is a great tool to use that many are familiar with. Cons Depending on your plan, features may be very limited. The worst of the free plan is no scheduling of emails anymore. You have to manually send at the time you want. But, this is fair since it's free software. When it comes to paid plans, I would opt for ActiveCampaign, being an affordable but much more robust platform. Mailchimp just isn't worthwhile with limited automations and a larger focus on ease than functionality. Pros I have been using MailChimp for the past 3 years and they delivered a great service and useful updates. It is very simple to use and create the campaigns. The tutorials are very well developed and help me on a daily basis. Cons Some limitations in terms of design. It could give more insights in terms of the results of the campaigns, maybe using AI. It is so easy to add people to your list and to create and update templates for our various communications. We use this software almost every day. The step by step system for setting up a new campaign makes it easy for a brand new user to be able to use it immediately. Cons I really like this software and do not have any real complaints. The only thing I would tweak would be on the entry page; you have to know to click the three bars in the upper left hand corner to choose whether you want to update a list, create a campaign etc. It took me a little while to find it the first time. Still think this is a great product. Cons Sending limits per day can sometimes feel restrictive on the lower tier accounts. Being able to only pause/freeze your account once hurts annual events that use the software, since it would be nice to not pay for software you're not using 7-8 months out of the year. Cons It is hard to tell and honestly, I had to come up with something that I dislike but sometimes the tab can crash as a result of bugs. It has happened a few times but even then, the template is automatically saved.
