Mailchimp is a leading email marketing platform used by over 11 million users worldwide. With a delivery rate of 99% and integration with over 300 tools, Mailchimp provides businesses with easy ways to connect with customers, foster repeat business, and build a lasting brand loyalty. The platform's AI-powered insights and content creation tools can personalize every email and SMS. The user-friendly interface accommodates tech-savvy and non-tech individuals. Clients such as TEDTalks, Shutterstock, Boston Market, and Nikon India have used Mailchimp to drive revenue through email marketing. The company was acquired by Intuit Inc. in 2021, and since then, the platform has introduced more than 100 new features to improve user experience. The company ensures its product descriptions match the Mailchimp site, don't include overly-comparative language, calls-to-action, personally identifiable information, suffices, or HTML tags.

We use mailchimp to have e-mail marketing handled with our sales strategy, and it's a good platform. It has helpful analytics and segmentation options that enable us to customize messages to leads and current prospects. Unfortunately, it is not cost-effective when you're growing as we do and using it for improving engagement and closing sales.

Pros

I like Mailchimp the best for making it easier for our sales team to handle our email marketing campaigns. We currently have more than one hundred clients in our database, and we're able to touch them based on past purchases, their area and how engaged they are on our communication, so we send them offers which are relevant to them. The reports are thorough and we are able to monitor open and click-throughs and automation of the follow up has saved us much manual effort.

Cons

Pricing may become an issue with our growing contact list. We've had to be careful not to remove inactive subscribers, because we don't want to go up to the higher tiers. Furthermore, although the interface is tidy, some features such as adjustments to e-mail templates may require a bit of research, and when you're in a campaign crunch, that's a pain.

Pros

I have only ever used the free version of mail chimp but that has always been enough! It is a great product. And when I look at the pricing it would be a good cost if you were a business and a team using it. Also integrates with my other programs!

Cons

I found it a little hard to navigate at first but now after years of using it it is simple to use. Just took time

Really positive, it's kicked our email marketing up a notch and taken work off the (extremely small) marketing team. We couldn't do without it.

Pros

It's way, way easier to use as a marketing tool than the CRM marketing module we have. I found it (n the whole) completely intuitive to import contacts, segment accordingly and export results. It provided much better results in terms of tracking and understanding the customer journey and we integrated it with leadfeeder with ease so we could further track the behaviour of email recipients.

Cons

I found some of the more advanced automation and integrations stuff tricky to get my head around but the support and customer literature/videos usually resolved it. Dependent on budget, you may end up paying for this and a CRM marketing module if you're not careful so make sure you know why you're getting it to get the most of it's features.

Mailchimp has never disappointed me, and now it's a far more capable platform. The ability to integrate campaigns with social media, get deep performance insights, and now leverage AI for content and analytics makes it incredibly valuable. It’s grown from a great email tool into a full marketing hub—and for my mass mailing and campaign needs, it's still my go-to.

Pros

Mailchimp still gives me a great range of templates for everything—updates, social media campaigns, and mass marketing promotions. But what really stands out now is the new AI integration. I can literally describe what I want (like a "spring sale announcement") and get a draft template in seconds, which saves me a lot of time. The addition of built-in SMS marketing and the conversational analytics tool are game changers I can just ask questions like "What drove revenue last week?" and get answers without building complex reports. Social media integration is deeper too, letting me manage posts and ads right from the dashboard. The pace of new features has increased since i started using it, and they've all been really useful.

Cons

The editor and campaign creation process could still be more intuitive at times, it’s not always as simple as I'd like. That said, the AI drafting tools help skip a lot of the work, so it bothers me much less than it used to. There's also more to learn now because the platform is so much bigger, but the learning is worth it.

I like Mailchimp's analytics and feel that it makes my life much easier as a marketer. It is great to be able to communicate with so many people at once.

Pros

I like that you can input thousands of contacts without issue and that you can setup and reuse templates. I also like the new feature for follow-up emails.

Cons

The support isn't good with no email and phone number to reach out to. I also find that I cannot upload multiple contact lists at once.

My overall experience with Mailchimp has been positive. It is a reliable marketing platform that makes it easier to create email campaigns, manage contacts, and track customer engagement. The platform is suitable for beginners while still offering useful tools for more experienced marketers. I appreciated the automation features and analytics because they helped understand what content performs better with an audience. However, the pricing structure can become a concern as a business grows, and some features require upgrading plans. Despite these limitations, Mailchimp remains a strong choice for email marketing because it is easy to use, stable, and provides many helpful features for managing customer communication.

Pros

What I liked most about Mailchimp is how easy it is to create and manage email marketing campaigns without needing advanced technical skills. The drag-and-drop editor makes it simple to design professional-looking emails, and there are many templates available to get started quickly. The contact management features are useful for organizing subscribers, creating audience groups, and sending more targeted campaigns. I also liked the reporting tools because they provide helpful information about opens, clicks, and customer engagement. The platform connects well with other tools and makes it easier to manage marketing activities in one place. Overall, Mailchimp saves time and helps businesses communicate better with their customers.

Cons

The main thing I liked least about Mailchimp is that some useful features can become expensive as your contact list grows. Small businesses or individuals with a limited budget may find the pricing difficult to manage over time. Some advanced automation and marketing features are only available on higher-tier plans, which can feel restrictive. I also found that the interface can sometimes feel overwhelming because there are many options and settings available. The email template customization is good, but users who want more design flexibility may need extra work. Customer support options could also be improved, especially for users on lower plans who need faster assistance.

Pros

The graphic design options this tool provides look pretty and are modern. It is easy to view analytics of any newsletters or emails you sent out to subscribers. Additionally, you can also brand your emails by adding your company's logo at the top to make your emails more official.

Cons

It is not easy to initially setup or sign up for an account. I also wish Mailchimp would provide some free tools for those who want to take advantage of their features to send some general emails and marketing campaigns then and there without needing to fully pay for service.

In general, my experience of using MailChimp was a positive one, as it allowed me and my colleagues to target some new customers through email marketing campaigns. I would say that it is a great product, which can be very useful in different fields and areas of work. Therefore, I would recommend it to any person working in Sales and Marketing.

Pros

I had an opportunity to use Mailchimp as a Sales Executive at Hackett & Hackett International Group Limited. In this company, we are tasked with developing email marketing campaigns to target new customers and leads. I can say that it has a lot of benefits, and it would be very helpful for every person working in Sales and Marketing. First of all, it has a lot of advantages, starting with being intuitive and having a good user interface. In addition, there is a wide variety of templates and an easy-to-use email builder and campaign tool. All these things make this program convenient for people of different levels. Even those who have little knowledge of marketing can use it.

Cons

In addition, I would like to note that this program has some disadvantages, including being expensive for some users and having a limited number of features for cheaper plans. Also, the automation of this program can be described as medium, meaning that in some cases, it can be not sufficient. Furthermore, I had some issues while using Mailchimp. Firstly, sometimes emails were placed in the spam folder, meaning that there are some deliverability issues. Secondly, Contact Management can be complicated at times, and there is no intuitiveness. Finally, while there are some good email templates, the design flexibility is limited, meaning that it is hard to create letters with nice design.

We have had a good time using this for marketing and it is nice to have the different categories for separate emails
