It’s a powerful all-in-one platform that made it easy to design professional emails, manage contacts, and run automated campaigns. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, and their customer support and tutorials helped me get up to speed quickly. Pros Mailchimp is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive, even for those without a marketing background. I especially love the drag-and-drop email builder, the pre-designed templates, and the ability to automate campaigns with ease. Superior Religious Institutions Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great emailing platform" November 19, 2025 5.0 I have been using it for over 10 years and they are by far my favorite email platform. I've used it for work but I even have my person account that I use for Christmas cards and other such occasions. Pros I like how it is so easy to use. The templates are great and I love that you can just drag and drop blocks. It is much more intuitive than other email platforms I have used. Cons I find it to be a bit expensive and the free account are great but you can't delete their marketing portion at the bottom of the email. The customization features cut down on the amount of time we had to spend designing each email and the analytics available were key in growing our company. Pros Mailchimp was a great piece of software for getting branded emails out to a lot of people. You could customize the look of your brand quite easily on Mailchimp. Cons Mailchimp had some limitations in terms of the number of constituents you could email at one time and with filtering exactly who that would be from a larger group. I happily recommend them to clients. Pros MailChimp is a really easy and intuitive solution for marketing emails. With drag and drop capabilities you can easily design emails that look impressive. Of course, with that ease-of-use comes limitations in what you can do to design your emails. But for most users this is a great solution. Cons MailChimp becomes expensive depending on the product you are using and I also wished I had more ability to customize my emails - recognizing that a lot of this is the function of email clients, vs MailChimp and making it usable for most people. Pros It’s easy to use for the most part. Understanding revenue from newsletters was clear and getting newsletters done and out the door is quick. Cons The flows could be really hard to find - the wording made it difficult to tell them apart. Also, analytics weren’t the easiest to read and get a clear picture of. I have never had any issues creating and sending mass emails to multiple subscribers. In addition Mailchimp has done a good job of innovating over the years to improve their product. Pros What I like most is that Mailchimp service up to a certain number of email address records is free. I use Mailchimp all the time and it is easy to create stellar emails. April 1, 2025 1.0 Frustrating non-intuitive templates that are presented as strategic solutions and user friendly to build, but instead overwork you with minutia and on attempt of implementation, force you into paid upgrades. Additionally, even though you might have a perfectly scrubbed mailing list that you obtained over years personally via a dedicated website, after completing hours and perhaps days of work building campaigns and templates, on the initial "send" of your very first email, your account could be suspended indefinitely for no specific given reason - a suspension so serious that it cannot be appealed. So, there's that risk. Screw this overrated expensive hack of a service. They're only in business because they're the original brand and consumers are comforted by familiarity. That won't last forever. Pros The sales pitch. The espoused product. "Vote for me if you want all of your dreams to come true." Cons The actual product and absolute non existence of customer support. Their chat bots are actually bots. Better time spent talking to the wall. I'd like to see more options for previewing emails on different devices/dark mode types, but beyond that, it's an intuitive software, with lots of options for audience segmentation, A/B testing, etc. Pros Clean UI. Easy to use, helpful tools and analytics, allowing me to see what works and is effective, and what isn't working/is ineffective. I also appreciate how it can integrate with other applications and services we use. Cons It's pretty expensive for simple being a tool to send out mass emails. Cons The main con with Mailchimp is the pricing, it gets very expensive quickly as you scale and that can really eat into the profitability of a small business if you are able to gain a lot of subscribers.
