### "MailChimp out done by Mailpoet"

I used MailChimp for multiple clients over a 6 year period. Since then I have switched over to MailPoet, which has a robust out of the box set up, and very easy to teach end users.

Pros

It started off as a great utility for doing email campaigns and collecting your customer base info.

Cons

As Mailchimp evolved, it turned into a money pit for any type of good functionality.

Very easy to set up and for newsletters and SMS contact. Customer service was a bit limited based on the basic platform but that's understandable

Pros

It's user friendly in terms of set up. There were lots of templates to choose from in terms of marketing ideas

Cons

We were unable to upload our contact list- we use Outlook on Mac computers so each contact had to be manually entered

Pros

Mailchimp was satisfied for our campaign's email sending needs. We sent emails that are well-targeted and track results. It’s good to have a smooth interface, customizable templates, and how it can also integrate with other programs.

Cons

The interface can get cluttered when you start doing several tasks, and some indispensable features are blocked in the paid version.

Pros

Very flexible Email marketing and campaign monitoring software that allows easy sales operation management and to generate leads and coordination across marketing teams is incredible.

Cons

Friendly platform on initial implementation and the learning curve was very short and helpful technical support.

It was a good service to use for a small company. You can do mass marketing at a cheaper rate than most.

Pros

Its a great tool for sales and marketing. The ease of use is great, easy to set up and customer service is pretty good.

Cons

The cost gets kind of expensive if you do alot of mass marketing or emails. Not the most expensive though.

Mailchimp’s been fine for getting mails out the door, whether it’s the usual newsletter or the odd one-off send. Helps when you want to keep things moving without fiddling too much.

Pros

I like the ready bits—templates, drag, drop, job done. Reports after show what’s been opened and what’s gone nowhere. Makes the follow-up easier.

Cons

Thing is, when the list grows, it starts to drag. Feels heavier, slower to load, and price climbs quicker than you think once past the freebies.

Pros

We use Mailchimp to segment those lists by pharmacists, distributors, and health orgs. It’s a breeze to drag-and-drop your way to a professional email editor, and scheduling your email campaign to send at a time that’s convenient for you is a walk in the park.

Cons

Reporting could be more insightful click-through breakdowns sometimes feel rudimentary, and integrating with our ERP required extra work.

I still use Mailchimp for my smaller freelance clients and find it to be reliable, but for others with databases of over one million subscribers – a software like Braze is far more efficient.

Pros

Mailchimp is essentially perfect for amateur or DIY marketers. It has a very basic builder platform and easy to use audience imports and exports.

Cons

For the advanced email marketing experts, Mailchimp is lacking in the extra features such as automation and customer journey mechanisms that help with anyone working with e-commerce.

Technically I didn't – as I use Braze for my much larger clients – I choose to only use Mailchimp for smaller clients with databases that don't need as much segmentation.

I understand only premium members have telephone support but when there is an issue that is MailChimp's fault there should be an option for support help to fix the problem.

Pros

It works great . . . Most of the time!!! Once all the set up is complete it is relatively easy to use

Cons

When there is a problem with my account it is the worst possible experience. I have been trying to authenticate my domain for 6 weeks now. Followed directions on your website and spent endless time with chat without resolution. Very very very frustrating and causes me to want to cancel my account(s)

Pros

It was easy to use and explain to people on the training team, and allowed me to route traffic safely to meetings.

Cons

Nothing I was satisfied for the service I received for the value of money this was great consumer protection.

Its overall a good service and I am happy to continue using them to market to new prospects and existing customers.

Pros

It is a fairly user friendly system. I am the owner of the company and main user of the software, and not a marketing expert, yet, I can use it well. It is also well documented with help articles etc.

Cons

It is quite expensive and I feel like the costs can escalate unexpectedly and quickly. I have had to question a number of times the billing which I dont find very clear.

I would reccomend it over say, Constant Contact for ease and price point. As a religious institution it has fit the bill!

Pros

Ease of use. Picture editting is a breeze. I like the intergration with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Cons

For the basic version there is little documentation or Help. I wish there was a commmunity forum to discuss issues that come up.

Overall— MailChimp is a fantastic accessible tool for dental practices looking to improve patient communication and marketing efficiency. Its automation and easy design capabilities make it ideal for maintaining patient relationships and promoting key services.

Pros

From a marketing perspective within the dental field, it offers a balance of automation, branding flexibility, and patient-engagement features that make it a valuable asset multi-location dental groups like mine, but I can see it being just as valuable for smaller scale practices as well.

Cons

While Mailchimp integrates with many systems, its direct integrations with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, OpenDental) can be limited without third-party connectors. When our practices shifted to Carestack, we were no longer able to use MailChimp.

overall it is nice, easy and simple tool for emails to a bulk list of contacts, little pricey if you high number of contacts but still ok as compared to other tools in the market.

Pros

Nice and easy tool for email marketing and for someone new also it is not very difficult to understand and don't take a lot of time to get started with email campaign.

Cons

It gets a bit pricey as the number of contacts in your account increases and you are restricted in getting some good features as you are required to upgrade to a higher plan.

Mailchimp is exactly what we needed. We use it for 2 main purposes. For mass email / newsletters and for automated emails to be sent to customers who get added into a specific data base. The automated email was huge because it removes a few steps that our team has to do each time we add customers to the data base. The newsletters use is very straight forward.

Pros

Mailchimp is very easy to use. The automation is exactly what we needed and it has been used regularly for newsletters and essential automated emails that we have needed to send out.

Cons

There isn't much that we did not like about Mailchimp. The one thing we had an issue with was a connection issue with a spread sheet we used, we didn't know the disconnect occurred for a few days, but it was easy to fix.

### "Mailchimp Doesn't Drive Me Bananas"

I am happy that the free version is good enough for me now. I love the ease of being able to create emails and newsletters without being very creative and it doesn't take hours. So I am happy with it.

Pros

The free version has a lot of features. I can create a newsletter in minutes. It connects easily with Canva and Wordpress.

Cons

There's limited customer support. If you want to move to a new plan the price increases dramatically. The advance features are complicated.

Helped produce consistent and fast paced marketing, great for business and creating a natural marketing work flow. Being able to connect to other marketing tools such as Facebook and Instagram and being able to schedule multiple emails at once.

Pros

Easy to use and effective in creating professional emails to multiple clients at once. Makes emailing clients so much easier and less time consuming.

Cons

More expensive compared to other email software. Lack of some design options/templates that could make emails stand out.

Pros

I love to use it for sending promotions emails to my subscribers. It's very easy to use and for few dollars, you can customize branding.

Cons

I wasn’t very happy when connecting my domain because it was very difficult. I send a help request to my provider who forwards me again to Mailchimp support.

As Mailchimp is usually used by companies, this is the first software I gained experience with as an in-house marketer. It's easy to set up and import subscribers. While the interface can be a bit confusing, it's not hard to figure out how to do things.

Pros

It's easy to use and provides a wide variety of tools to help you grow and manage your email list. I like that I can create landing pages and filter signups into groups based on their interests.

Cons

Because Mailchimp has so many features it can be a bit hard to find what you are looking for sometimes. However, there are a lot of articles in the knowledge database. I don't find their site builder to be as simple to use as what is offered by other email providers.

Pros

I like that is sets up for us to send out emails to clients with ease. We like to be able to send emails to get reviews.

Cons

I don't use it enough to have anything to dislike about it. Wish it had more functions I suppose so I could use it more.
